I really enjoyed my dinner with my family. Fresh shush and sashimi and kind employee. I like it.

I personally don't eat sushi, I get the tempura asparagus and cucumber rolls.

Waited an hour and a half for our food for four people. Was not busy at the time so I have no idea why. When the food did arrive it was good however

I had the big eye sushi with cooked salmon, which was delicious . Ihad the mango chicken entree, which was just ok, needed more seasoning. This is not a place to go for cocktails either, but I would return for sushi.

So good! So many rolls to try, we'll be coming back for more soon. Did I mention they have Thai Iced Tea!

Very good sushi for this part of the country. We are always jerks and come in right before closing and they have never been anything but friendly and accommodating.

Absolute favorite Japanese restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place. Beautiful atmosphere and great service. Amazing food! I d be careful not to sit facing the window when the sun shines through. They could do a better job keeping the sun out.

Absolutely loved this place! Amazing appetizers, stellar sushi, and great atmosphere. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday, so I they brought out complimentary green tea ice cream after our meal--it was nothing like I've ever tasted before! Would definitely go back again.

The food and service is A 1 there....The Damon roll is a must try.....

First time visiting for my daughter's birthday. I must say it has a great atmosphere and the food was absolutely fantastic. The prices are affordable too. I will definitely be back.

This is our go-to sushi place! I have no idea how people can write such poor reviews for this wonderful restaurant. We LOVE some of their specialty rolls like the Hurricane (most favorite) the rainbow, Sunday morning, the volcano.... etc.... The wait staff is always pleasant and friendly. Reasonably priced for fantastic sushi! If you want quality, well made sushi, you will be pleased. If you want bulk or buffet sushi...go somewhere else.

You will not find better sushi than Big Eye around the Akron/Canton area. I ve eaten a lot of sushi but this by far has been the best. I always compare other places to them. You have to go for the happy hour for half price sushi because it s such a great deal! Fresh sushi, great service (always!), and cozy ambiance

Had the chicken red curry and cucumber and spicy crab roll. Everything was delicious but yum yum sauce wasn't really good

Their salad with the home-made Ginger dressing is a good one to definitely try! Their sushi is great, and the atmosphere is nice and calming.

Good sushi. Place could be more upscale if they didn't have TVs everywhere like a bar.

This place is great. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The wait staff is nice and attentive. Best of all, the sushi was really good. My wife doesn't like fish, so it was nice they had a full menu with other non-sushi options. The bill for two was about $70 which is a little steep, but that's somewhat normal for sushi. We'll definitely go back!

The garlic sauce is to die for, and the fried tempura vegetables are great as well as the sushi. Overall a wonderful experience.

Big Eye is a true hidden jem in Akron.. always fresh, consistently great food and service. My wife and I have been going here for over five years and it s our favorite spot for sushi hands down..

Everytime I come I get a little disappointed knowing that there's better sushi nearby, Sakura is a lot better, happy hour rolls are good though

It's very good. They have some sushi rolls that I have not seen elsewhere. They have very reasonably priced lunch specials that come with a ton of food! The only thing I would like to see is their tempura batter being a bit lighter; it's very dense. Overall, good experience and prices!

I had an adventurous morning and this top notch sushi was the perfect place to chill out and refuel. The inside is very relaxing, visually pleasing with soothing piano playing in the back. I ordered the love season and thanksgiving roll. They were extraordinary, fresh and full flavor. I felt very welcomed by the server. I will definately be back. Hmu if you want to go on a date there.

Erica remembered the specific type of fish we liked from the last time we came in, and offered to make our sushi boat with extra of our favorite.

Half price sushi on weeknights is a hidden gem. I love this place for that reason.

Got the sushi boat. Quick service and great taste.
Waiter even talked with us and had a civil discussion about politics.

Quick service, attentive wait staff and excellent fresh sushi, even on a Monday which is exceedingly rare for all but the best sushi houses. But then this really is one of the best sushi houses, certainly in this area. I wished that I could have gotten one of the Bento boxes because they looked so good, but they do not serve them except at lunch. As it was I had the Sashimi assortment which came with an excellent miso, and a lovely fresh salad. Highly recommended.

Mango Chicken lunch special is fantastic. Great place for lunch, always hot and fresh.

This is the most overpriced sushi I have ever gotten. I ordered the chirashi for $18.95 and it was half the size of any other sushi restaurant in town. Paying for Big Eye sushi is paying for the location of being in Fairlawn. There are better sushi restaurants in the area. After eating my meal I can confirm the salmon did not taste fresh and I had to throw it out, there was rice in my miso soup, and the rest of the sushi tasted like I got it from a grocery store cooler.

UPDATE: The manager was more than happy to work with me and refund the chirashi dish.
