It was terrible. My mom and I went on a date here and the atmosphere was fine however the food was not so much. I ate one piece of sushi and spit the rest of it out because I felt like I could have gotten sick right then. I decided to take the rest of my food home (chicken and rice) and after a reheat the chicken was slimy. Will not return.
Everything is wonderful, especially the deep sea and Bahama. And the servers were very friendly. Definitely will come back.Very nice experience.
I love this place, best sushi around. It s never busy during it week and I have no clue why that is?! I try different rolls every time, they are all good.
Was in the area and my significant other and I wanted sushi. Had good reviews on various sites so we decided to dine here. Glad we did.
The service was great and the atmosphere relaxed. We ordered some appetizers and then a couple of the futomaki rolls to share. It was all delicious. Prices were reasonable and well worth it for the quality of the food.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a tasty sushi meal in the area.

The food took awhile, but it was quite good. I really enjoyed that they have salmon skin rolls, though it would have been nice if the skin was crispier-kinda limp. But still very yummy.

Sushi was delicious! It is a very small place but in most cases, those are the best.
I really enjoy this place for its sushi and it's chicken ramen. Just be sure to ask for a less spicy ramen if that's your thing!

We love this restaurant. Whenever a special event happens, it seems Big eye is often the eatery of choice. The veggie tempura is great, the lobster bisque is to die for, and the house rolls to the specials are all fantastic. The food, the atmosphere, and the price hit the spot for us.
Best place for sushi and the rest of the menu is pretty good. Great lunch menu for the price. If you're in Fairlawn or nearby this is the restaurant to visit.

The sushi was really good. And they have good deals. Our Waitress Erica was doing a marvelous job. She s excellent . And she recommended what s the best sushi to eat. I would recommend all of you to come at this restaurant.
The food was very good, and as you can see, the presentation looked very appealing! Service was great from our server Erika! And to top it off, they brought a special treat for my son's birthday. (Did not even ask them to do this)

Soup, salad, and sushi was great. Main entrees were less than desirable. Pad Thai was made with tomatoes (different, but not our taste.) Yaki Udon noodles were creamy (not my taste).

I have been to quite a few of sushi restaurants and I just so happen to stumple on this place. It is the best sushi I have had. I sat at the sushi bar by myself and my server was very attentive. Watching the sushi chef was memorizing. He is talented.

Big Eye is the freshest sushi in Akron. Period. Their specialty rolls are top shelf. Really exquisite flavors that bring a smile to your taste buds. You owe it to yourself to go to Big Eye. You'll be glad you did.

Someone stole my credit card and used it at this restaraunt. By their own admission, they do not check the signature on the card to see if it matches. I showed them the police report of the stolen card and they refused to refund my money. I would not use a credit card there because if they are lax with cards like this, I have to wonder if my card information is safe with them.

Unfortunately, I moved away from being in close driving distance here as often. But I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves friendly customer service and quality food at a good price! I would grab my spicy salmon rolls here on a regular basis and I have never once had a bad experience. I never write reviews but Big Eye deserves to reflect the credit it's due. You guys are amazing, I'll probably order some lunch today since I'm in the area, haha. Thank you!
One of the best sushi & sashimi lunch I ever had. Great service and great selection. Will be back 120%. Why go on vacation when you can come to Big Eye and enjoy great food?

Overpriced sushi and the service was not great. We ordered the special which if you do the calculations, there wasn't much of a difference in price. I would not go back, plus the background music was not meshing with the decor.
I used to go here every summer as a kid. And I can tell y'all this place has really good sushi! I'm not ashamed to come back and stuff myself again when the virus clears up.

nice atmosphere. friendly staff. the food was tasty but the pad thai and drunken noodles were a bit on the sweet side. the tempura was, in my opinion, more of a south east asian street food interpretation rather than an authentic japanese version. the sushi itself was tasty and generous in size, but again a bit loose and not a strict japanese interpretation. over a fine south eastern japanese styled dining experience.
The best sushi in town. New owners - now even better! Try the Tony roll, Sunday morning, and Vegas rolls. And salmon sashimi, of course.
The food was crazy expensive. We haven't been back since and probably won't. The food/service was very good but not when we got the bill. The food/value just wasn't there.
Very COVID friendly! Pickup was a breeze, go into the right side door, plexiglass in place and the hostess will hand you your order. My favorite Sushi place in Akron the Maki dinner special is very affordable and the food is delicious! My go-to sushi place, and I love sushi a little too much.
Sushi is just not good: too much filler in the rolls, and not enough variety.
I'm never disappointed when I come here. A routine customer. Though I did go missing for awhile during the start of the whole corona thing. I frequent here so often that I'm recognized as soon as I walk in. The food is amazing and prepared just as well. The plating is very nice touch as well. It's always art.
