A very bad hotel experience. Was assured that the ski bag would be safe in their storage while skiing today, got down off of the mountain to find it was gone. It turns out an employee had taken the bag and put it in their car without telling anyone. It took them over an hour to find it through security footage. You go to a hotel to feel safe and this hotel is definitely not safe. If this happened to us, there is no telling what other shady things are going on here. If you can, stay anywhere else other than this hotel. If you do stay here, be very careful and keep your belongings close to you. Do not trust the hotel staff, as they are not professional or trustworthy. If we could give the hotel negative stars, we would for all of the trouble they put us through. A very bad experience.

It's not the worst hotel I been in but it's the worst Hilton I have ever seen or heard of.. Its the middle of summer hitting 90s out side and they have no A.C. The shower is super slick my mother slipped in the shower and I caught myself. It's run down the pillows smell of sweat. They have no microwave. It's really dingy... and the bathroom is the smallest thing ever theres barly any room between the door and toilet. and for $100+ a night should be a lot better than this... I dont recomend staying here unless they fix it. They have a nice entry way but the rooms are trash. But one nice thing I have to say is the view is nice.

Our stay was OK. The hotel was a little ways away from everything. Put something in the refrigerator in the room and found out the next morning that it was not plugged in. The pool area was a long way from the room and you had to go through the lobby to get to it

Understanding that location is everything, that part, they have nailed. Literally across the street from the lift. Apart from location it really feel short for me given the price. $30 a day to valet. $23 for the breakfast buffet and rooms that are average at best, really left me wanting more. Walls are paper thin, you can here everything from the room next door and I mean everything!

The mattress was amazing and the view was good. But it sucked being on the nine floor because it was a process to get to our room each time. We had to go to the 3rd floor walk down 3 long hallways, take the elevator to the 6th floor and walk down some more hallways, then find the elevator for the 9th floor, more walking. It bothered me for the cost of the room and quality there was no microwave. There's a fridge but I guess it's intended for beverages?

$35 for Valet parking per day is excessive when there is no alternative. $20 to rent a microwave a first for me. Proximity to lift 9 hard to beat. No Tea and Coffee, though warm cookies a nice alternative. Room is nice with good view of mountain. The room is already expensive at Spring break, shame to charge so much for extras.

ANOTHER GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THE DOUBLE TREE BRECKENRIDGE. We have stayed here several times before. The experience has always been great. This time it was beyond excellent. The staff really shined. 100 out of 10 to all. I would like to especially highlight Kevin at the front desk. He really went above and beyond to make this experience exceptional. My two daughters loved all of the little touches the hotel provides. My two daughters loved all of the little touches the hotel provides. The new remodel looks great. Thank you for a great weekend get away.

You can find whatever levels of accommodations you seek, we have stayed in the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, and the St. Regis in Rome, Itatly, and few hotels will compare the comfort of those places. But at the Doubletree by Hilton in Breckenridge, Colorado, we experienced the the most wonderful staff and environment. The staff was from top to bottom the nicest we have ever been experienced to. Our little dog Mabel had such a wonderful time at this dog friendly hotel. We left as sorry as we have ever been to leave to leave any hotel. If wecould rate it beyond five stars, we would.

The Double Tree was the perfect place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were by far the nicest pet friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were large with comfortable beds and pillows. The free shuttle to main street was convenient and reliable. I was overall extremely satisfied with our experience.

No ac in the entire hotel, our thermostat read 87 when we entered the room. No pool or hot tub no double tree cookies and 1 elevator to service entire hotel. I understand thing are a little different with covid but all the hotels weve stayed at had there pool and hot tub open. Do not stay here, the room was nice but they charge you full price for absolutely no amenities. Honestly would of had the same experience for half the price at the holiday inn, except the holiday would have had AC. No cookies are you kidding me, I know this doesnt sounds like a big deal but when traveling with my sister(who's on the spectrum) she knows were gonna get a double tree cookie and expects it. Unexpected small changes can make or break a trip. We just stayed at the double tree in denver they had cookies, they're premade and just need to be stuck in the oven. I use to work for double tree it's the easiest thing in the world to bake a tray of cookies

We always stay at Hilton hotels and this is the first time that our room is not cleaned . We returned to our room at 6pm and I called front desk and they acted like it was no big deal and said they can send new towels. I explained we also need the trash emptied . They did send someone right away . But they certainly did not think it was a big deal although for me it was . If I'm paying more than $100 a night and traveling, I want to come back to a nice clean room!

Rooms were clean and fresh but too warm despite the thermostat being set to a comfortable temperature. A large group of students were permitted to swamp the pool and hot tub area far beyond capacity and was using alcohol inappropriately despite it being allowed in the pool area. Dinner for our event was okay with apparently poor cuts of meat filled with fat and overcooked vegetables. And front counter seemed understaffed with several people at a time waiting for assistance. Not overly impressed.

Terrible experience. They sent us an email to upgrade our room and when we checked in we got the original room we booked. When we went down to the front desk, they stated w what s to confirm again after we the the first upgrade confirmation and that they had sold out of rooms. Two things be aware of for anyone that is considering staying here. 1. There only valet parking and to get to our room 2. If your room floor is higher than 7, you have to take the elevator to the 7th floor, walk to the other side of the floor to take the next elevator and both are old and slow.

The hotel is located right next to Beaver run and has a very nice staff that constantly went out of their way to help my wife and I. The cookies are always a nice to have and the fire places in the lobby are great to relax next to after a day of skiing. The only negative is the bathroom is very small, but I would definitely stay here again.

No AC. Website says they have AC. We have stayed here numerous times and they had ac. It s 80 degrees in the room. The window doesn t open all the way and the sun will be shining first thing in the morning. This has been our worst time here. Like I said we have had ac before so they either took them all out or it broke and they won t fix it. Will never stay here again

Incredibly friendly staff, our room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We had a couple of small issues, the clerk at the front desk unfortunately was unable to honor the $20.00 self parking from when I booked the room. The hotel is now valet only at $35 per night. Also the door to the bathroom didn't open all the way due to bad, or no planning after they had replaced the toilet with a different one. They really need a "pocket door" that slides into the wall. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return.

On the plus side, this hotel had kind and friendly staff, a well-stocked coffee and snack bar, free bus shuttle close by, great mountain views and location, and pet friendly. The downsides included: dated elevators, carpets, and furniture. The beds are SO uncomfortable! The hotel was smelly aside from the pockets of air freshener spots that actually were over-kill. We stayed for three days and I would often let my dog out in the back area of the hotel. There was a nice path. However, two trashes outside remained over-turned and trash scattered everywhere for our entire stay. I can tell they are short-staffed and cannot offer certain amenities during the pandemic, but cleanliness is one thing that can and should be priority . I know Hilton is a wealthy company and this is Breckenridge! I know they make bank here! They may want to consider an update to this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff was very friendly. I loved the free shuttle. The room was large with a comfortable bed. This hotel is pet friendly, but be prepared that if your dog barks when left alone, you will need to take them with you, or you may incur extra charges. The hotel will call you twice before that happens. Breck is very dog friendly, so they can go in the shops, just not the restaurants, but can go on outside eating areas with you. It would have been nice if they offered free coffee in the lobby. They do have Starbucks onsite available for purchase. Be prepared to pay $25 a day for valet parking. There isn t self parking available. Anytime we wanted our car, they got it to us quickly. The rooms don t have air conditioning, but we kept the sliding door with a screen on the patio open, and we were comfortable. The highest temp while we stayed in June was in the 60 s. The hotel has an interesting layout, so be prepared to walk a while to get to an elevator, which wasn t a problem for us. If someone isn t very ambulatory, that could be a problem. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would stay here again.

Good experience. Huge room! No complimentary breakfast :(. Also the door to the bathroom is a bad configuration - can t open the door entirely and can t move in the bathroom with the door open. Nevertheless I d stay here again and recommend it.

Awesome location. Hotel is a bit dated. Hotel staff was very friendly. Only one small elevator from the main floor which is frustrating. The other option is the fire escape stairs which as also frustrating. Pool and hot tubs are decent. Overall aging property in need of a facelift but you can t beat the location and value

The only reason this place is getting an average rating is that the view out our window was of another side of the building, as well as the roof of a section of the building. As a Hilton Diamond member, you'd think they could have found a nicer view. We weren't looking for a mountain view, but just didn't expect what we saw. Other than that, the inside of the room was decent. The valet was our first experience and he was very nice, as well as the person at the front desk. We were looking for a good place for a late dinner and she sent us to a great place. The next morning we stopped at the marketplace inside the hotel to pick up a few snacks and the person helping us was extremely accommodating. If it wasn't for such a lousy view, the hotel would have received a much higher rating.

Not a great experience. We weren't warned that it was valet only, so unloading everything for us and our infant daughter ended up being a hassle that involved having to repeatedly arrange a staff escort to the parking garage. The hot tub was closed. Then there was an evening fire drill in the middle of our infant napping (some warning of the drill would have been nice), and we had to grab our coats and run outside in a 17 degree snowstorm. We were kept out of our room for so long it ruined our dinner plans with a now exhausted baby, so we decided to instead order a pizza and get drinks from the hotel bar... Only to find the bar closed for a private event.

The hotel was probably built in the 70s or before, and the building seems to have either been poorly designed or just added on to. Due to this: - the main lobby floor is on the 3rd floor (1 and 2 are parking) - rooms start on the 4th floor. - the 4th and 5th floors are the only full length floors (from one side of the property to the other) with guest rooms. - the remaining floors (6-10), with guest rooms, are on opposing wings of the property. Therefore, one set of elevators runs up one side of the building, and another set runs up the other. I say set, because on each side of the building there is an elevator that goes floors 1-6, and an elevator that goes 6-10. If you happen to be on floors 7-10, you'll have to transit on the 6th floor. The good: -- base price is reasonable compared to the other places in town. -- nice flat screen tv. -- refrigerator in room. -- good bedding. -- ski lift literally right across the street -- about 30 yd walk from the hotel entrance. -- free bus service nearby to downtown and elsewhere - City Market, ice rink, etc. -- free ski storage in lockers just near the parking entrance (one has to ask for it!!! ). Do ask for it, otherwise you'll traipse inside the hotel with your gear.. -- about as far as one does outside to the lifts. The mediocre/bad: -- the bathroom is a little dinky (yes, the door is about a mm from the toilet). The designer on this must have really sharpened his pencil to make this work. -- There is room heat (good for winter) and one can barely open the window. This place would be stifling in the summer since it doesn't have a/c -- the lame elevators and building design. ----- The elevators are small, old, slow. ------ One can hear every sound outside their door, in the room next door, etc. -- while the breakfast buffet downstairs IS good, the pricing is ridiculous. We grabbed the available buffet for two option that is offered online (essentially $15 for 2 people/day). Otherwise they charge $18/person for it. Oh, and as the staff will tell you incessantly (to the point of rude)... "gratuity is not included" -- Like the breakfast, this hotel tries to nickel, dime, and dollar you. Required valet parking on your car is $25/night. They won't tell you that you can park your car overnight at the city ice rink ($5/night). It's about a 3/4 mile walk, or you can catch the free city shuttle buses back to Beaver Run or Valdorro -- the 2 next door neighbor locations. So -- on 4 nights I saved $80. HA! In the same way, wifi costs $12.95/day. -- come on man! If you don't need the wifi, park at the ice rink, store your skis downstairs, get the buffet deal online (or bring some cereal, milk, etc), and sleep pretty soundly -- this place rocks for the price. If you have to get to your car daily, gotta keep your skis in your room, gotta be online, end up on floors 7-10, listen for every sound, and just have to eat their buffet (without thinking ahead on this) -- you're going to hate it.

Not impressed with this hotel for the price. It's really confusing to find the rooms. There's at least 2 different elevators on each floor that each go to some but not all of the floors. It was a wild goose chase through elevators across the building from each other, and a one-way, winding hallway to find my room. The bathroom was really small, and there was no microwave. I wouldn't stay here unless you need to go skiing, have a lot of money, and the other places are full.

While I acknowledge that Breckenridge is an expensive town, the hotel was not a wow factor for the price. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff lacked that. One big thing that I did not like was that they do not offer self-parking. Only valet parking and it cost $38. I just didn't expect that to be the only option. While the building was a little outdated, the room was comfortable and roomy. The bed was comfy and the linens were clean. We did use the pool and outdoor hot tub, which again was outdated for the price of the hotel. A few nit-picky details that I noticed were that there was no USB ports for chargers, the alarm clock was an hour ahead (which really threw me off in the morning) and the phone was disconnected. I tried to call down to have my car ready by the time I came down and noticed that there was no wires on the phone so I called on my cell. Again not a huge deal, but just small inconveniences for guest. When I checked out and asked for my car, the person at the front desk radioed for me car and the person on the other end was yelling about how busy they were and that it was gonna be a while. The person at the front desk looked embarrassed and said that they were short staffed and the manager was a bit overwhelmed. That was the manager on the other end of the radio! I was a bit annoyed that I had called for my car 20 min before but still had to wait a bit. Again, not a big deal but just another inconvenience.

Terrible Hotel. If you are on floor 8 or above, you have to take one elevator to the 7th floor and then walk to the other side of the hotel to a second elevator in order to get to floor 8-10. Best part is when the one elevator is broke... you have to walk to the 7th floor so u can get to the elevator for the 8th floor. "Must miss" if you're in Breck. Hilton Honors? Not really... Update: the elevator broke again the next morning... have fun walking up 8 flights of stairs...

Stayed here for one night and I m glad it wasn t longer. Our room was one or two floors above the outdoor hot tub, and it was very noisy with people talking and kids screaming until 10:30 pm. Hot tub closes at 10 so the hotel doesn t enforce their own policies apparently. Additionally, the placement of our room on the sixth floor was inconvenient because the main elevator only went to the sixth floor and anyone who needed to access the higher floors had to come down our hallway to get to the other elevator that services the upper floors. This meant a lot of people constantly walking by our room talking loudly, and with kids being kids. It finally quieted down around 11:30 pm but with the hot tub opening at 6 am, the voices started up again (loudly) early in the morning. I planned to bring this issue up upon check out, but the front desk didn t ask about our stay or solicit feedback. We ll find another hotel next time.

Went out for a Spartan race and paid $500 + for a room months in advance . i understand putting down money for liabilities but they took $ 500 again from my account and left me high and dry for my vacation . young lady at the desk told me to use my credit card next time after i maxed it out on plane tickets. Ill never be back and am filing a complaint. The next hilton i stayed at on Sunday was $50 for the liabilities and put it back in my account within minutes

I have stayed at the Double Tree in Breckenridge before so I thought I would do it again. This stay was not so great. The hotel overall seemed not clean, hallways, walls, and when I got to my room a had a portable AC unit running very loudly in the room. The build-in system was not working. I didn't worry too much because I planned to be out and about a lot. When I went to take a shower and pulled the curtain back a huge chunk of hair fell out on the tub and i knocked it in the floor. I let the front desk know and they came and cleaned the room again and said they were sorry but I felt like I was staying in a dirty place. I was not cheap either. They gave me a $75 dollar credit but I don't plan to stay there again or recommend the place. (and I have pictures)

Huge rooms. We were there in the summer and they had spot AC units, which were the worst. Cooled down the room but took all the moisture with them, and were so loud!! Otherwise the hotel was gorgeous and the valet service was awesome! Worth using the shuttle service and also walking into town.

The location is perfect for skiing. It is a ~ 5 minute walk from Peak 9, so it was very easy to start the day and climb the ski lift quickly. The service is excellent. My boyfriend forgot many things like shaving cream and deodorant and the staff gave them to us very soon. Everything was clean and easy and I plan to stay again.

we had a king mountain view room on the 6th floor "traverse floor" in a room next to the only elevator to the upper floors. It was very noisy with upper floor traffic waiting for the elevator. Staff was courteous but unhelpful, and didn't have any other rooms available on the 4th or 5th floors. Also, the mountain view is not a view of the ski slopes. The rates are lower for a reason, spend the extra money for a any of the other hotels. There is also a long walk to the rooms.
