It was ok.

It was ok.

Family and I went on a Saturday night to bowl. The lanes and seating are so cramped. They have tables in between the seating area to eat and have drinks at. These tables also get in the way of actually walking up to bowl and taking your turn. Employees could make the experience better by making sure seating and tables are pushed to designated areas so one lane doesnt have an extreme amount of floor space and others having none.

The lanes seem shorter then other bowling alleys I have been to. Not sure if that's just an illusion or not. Also the lanes have minimal space between them. So when the person next to you is taking their turn and turn to walk back. They walk or just about walk into your bowling area. Thay means you have to wait for your turn to bowl out of respect, but can't go right away because if they turn and take one step sideways they are in your bowling area.

We paid $17 for 2hr of bowling which is in the higher side of the price range.

Drink and food prices are also very high! So plan ahead!

Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Just not my favorite place to bowl with all the furniture in the way.

Update: came back a second time because a friend bought 2 hours of bowling from groupon. It was for up to 6 people. We asked for 2 lanes so we were not over crowded. It was late on a not busy Sunday. They cut our time in half to have to lanes. Game just ends. No countdown or anything. You could be on the last frame and last ball and it just shuts off.

This is one of the best places to book a private party which we did for my son who just turned 16. The hostess Donna was amazing and showed alot of patience with all the orders. The food was also amazing and we were not rushed out the venue once the party ended which was the same day as the Steeler vs Dallas game. The management staff were also amazing and helped out when needed delivering drinks and food. I won't hesitate to have another party there. Thanks alot ladies your GREAT SERVICE was well appreciated

Over priced !! Girls behind the prize counter are on there phones the The entire time. One won t even take the headset out that she s listening to while there. And then sits there and says what every time you ask or something.

Pretty pathetic that it is a public place and employees can get into my sisters face and threaten them and she s the one that gets kicked out. This place is ass backwards. The managers are rude and disrespectful!! I was told that I was not allowed in there if friends are working but I don t bother no one they come up to me I keep to myself!!! I m not stupid I know you don t bother people when they are working!! They threatened to call the cops on us if we didn t leave because we weren t ALLOWED there if we were there and friends were working! What kind of rule is that everyone knows everyone so get the hell over it!! Can someone please tell me what the cops can do because honestly I m thinking they can t do anything if I m a paying customer wouldn t you want my business not kick me out!!

This place has amazing food, and great potential, but the two times I have visited I had the worst staff experience. When we were seated in the restaurant, it took them 30 minutes to get to our table (they weren't busy). When we went to bowl, we waited at the counter for a few minutes until the staff acknowledged us, even though we were the only customers, and there was three of them. There are multiple people walking around with iPads, and the managers were walking back and forth in groups and didn't even acknowledge us. We wanted to order food while bowling, but had to beg for service. The bar tender with the pink hair waited on us and didn't say a word even though I smiled at her and tried to make conversation. Very disappointing, and they are missing ways to make more money.

Lots of great games! Pretty expensive, though. We didn't try the restaurant but the arcade was cool. There's not a whole lot of prizes that are really worth it. But if you're looking to an hour or two and have some money to spare it's a pretty good time.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, the personnel and the various screens used to animate and enrich the bowling experience. I think the quality of the food from the restaurant could be better, the prices could also be a bit more competitive. If those two points were touched by this establishment, it would better. Overall a good place to have some good family fun.

Nice place to do bowling, It was a little difficult to get the ball of smaller sizes. around 18$ for unlimited bowling after 11 PM! Food is also good. they have separately priced arcade games.

Like it but crowded. They could use a better way to schedule stuff! Waited over 90 minutes for a bowling lane whine there were empty ones sitting for 20 minutes! Bc the one who reserved them 'was on there way' nope! You doing get at most 15 minutes to get to your lane even it's THAT busy! Then the laser tag! That is just ridiculous! Worse than the bowling! I went for my daughters 6 birthday....and she couldn't even laser tag (over 2.5 hour wait); which is what she really wanted to do!
It is a cool place but they need to adjust something!

Attended zone 28 for a corporate event and everything was awesome. Enjoyed blasting the boss and rolling a few strikes while the night dwindled away. Wish I lived in Pittsburgh so I can try and stash up some more tickets!

My sister threw a birthday party here for my neice who turned 11. Her friends had a blast & so did the parents. I loved the bumper cars! They were awesome! Obviously later tag was a thrill. We had such a good time at that party. I will definitely keep it in consideration for when my son gets older!

Glow bowling is a joke. $20 is supposed to get you unlimited bowling, shoes, pool, and free video games. You're lucky to get the free pool if you can find an employee to give you the balls to play. At least 4 games were out of order and the rest were not free to play. I've given FunFest several chances, but it's just not worth the frustration.

Zone 28 is a great place to hang out for a few hours with friends or family. I've done a lot of what is available at this location, such as eating at the Railhouse Restaurant, completing both escape rooms, playing pool and arcade games, and watching the big screen outside. As escape rooms are what I mostly enjoy I'll rate them both here.

Hidden Below: I would rate this escape room 3/5 stars. The environment and setup was very well done. It's very immersive and the theme is very consistent throughout, however the clues and puzzles were relatively easy. Most of the puzzles were linear and fairly straightforward. They did have a few puzzles that were unique to me, but weren't overly difficult. Overall I think it's a great starter escape room for people who want to finish and haven't experienced one yet.

Room 113: I would rate this room 4/5 stars. This escape room had a lot more unique content than Hidden Below and was more difficult overall. The theme was unique and consistent throughout the room and it had a few unique elements that I haven't experienced elsewhere. It was challenging and less linear than Hidden Below, but didn't have the awe factor that some of the better escape rooms around Pittsburgh have (which is understandable, considering the main purpose of Zone 28). I would recommend doing this room with a smaller group (4-6 people) if you want a challenge, but don't want to be pressed too hard.

Overall the food and drinks at zone 28 are what you would expect from a ~$12/entree restaurant, nothing spectacular, but relatively good food. The Arcade games are pretty fun and modern but didn't seem to be great value compared to other arcade places around Pittsburgh. The big TV outside is nice for watching the Penguins or any other sports game. Overall Zone 28 makes for a pretty good night out.

We came for an evening of fun for our sons birthday. The place is nicely remodeled. We had a great night. My only complaint is price, it can get quite pricey for a family of 5 but I think they are in line with pricing for other places of similar activities.

Awesome. I still remember going to Fun Fest here in grade school and having a blast. The new Zone 28 is even better. It's awesome that a whole new generation of kids can enjoy Zone 28 as much as I loved Fun Fest

This place can get VERY expensive and quick! To bowl, you can pay by the hour or by the game. The options at the lanes are so cool. The food can be ordered and sent right to your lane. There are two restaurants on site- just basic food, nothing spectacular. Playing games is what can take you broke with kiddos. Game cards are distributed and they keep track of your points. My husband was able to get two balls from the giant claw machine, and it appeared that within minutes there was someone "fixing" it. The cost to play is high, the tickets distributed is low, the prizes are cheap- not too much different than other arcade like areas. Over all it was a fun time, but not something we are going to do very often as it is overpriced for what it delivered.

I had a birthday party for my son there today. We chose the Mega Zone party package which cost me $303.00 for 10 kids from 4-6pm. The package came with a private room but we were not allowed to go in the room until 5pm, we had unlimited drinks but could not get the drinks until we got into our private room. We ordered wings at 4:45, at 5 soon as we got to our private room the waiter comes to collect the money & we never saw her again. 5:40 we are asking for our wings, our party hostess had to find them & they were cold just sitting somewhere. We spoke with the manager got a new batch of wings & the manager Alex said he ll refund our money. 5:25 the kids get ready to do laser tag. My son lost his wristband Before getting a chance to use it becuz it wasn t given until 5:15, they said nothing can be done. Party was over at 6. The manager Alex never returned with our refund, I asked 3 different employees to get him so I can speak with him & Alex never showed up. For $303 I m very disappointed. Oh & they spelled my sons name wrong 3x on EVERYTHING except the email they sent me telling me how much I owe.

Funfest just keeps getting better and better. A beautiful addition is Suite 28 where private events can be held with 8 lanes, very comfortable furniture, a private bar, catered food, video equipment, music that you can select and best of all its affordable. I highly recommend you stop by and check it out and take a tour with one of the team members. A great place to hold a fun event to celebrate anything wonderful. Let them help you with the planning and food so you can enjoy the event with your guests.
