Zena Rec Review

Zena Rec has been part of my family's summer life for over 30 years. As a young family, my children became lifelong swimmers , even swimming competiviely in high school and college. As they became teens and young adults they had great summer jobs as lifeguards and met lifelong friends. Now I enjoy summer days at the pool with my grandchildren. Last year , even with the chllenges of Covid, Zena Rec agian provided us with much needed relaxation . This is a hidden gem for the Kingston Woodstock area.

Zena Rec has been our go to summer staycation spot for over 22 years. Generations have learned to swim , play tennis and made lifetime friends.
The facility provides a beautiful pool in a serene woodsy environment that makes it the perfect recreation facility for summer enjoyment .

Zena Rec has been my home away from home during the summer season. My kids have grown up there, starting in the mommy and me swim lessons, and continuing until they graduated from level 5. They then joined the swim team, that has been a huge part of our summer. We love Zena Rec Park and that is why I am on The Zena Rec Board for my third time. I want Zena to continue to be around for my grandchildren to enjoy!

It is so wonderful! The staff are amazing, and genuinely make an effort to connect with you and your child. The park is clean and safe. Tennis courts, basketball courts, and a swimming pool are included, and lessons are available for tennis and swimming. There is also a swim team for more advanced swimmers. The park holds events throughout the week, such as adult water aerobics, movie night, and various barbecues throughout the summer. Food and drinks are available for very low and reasonable prices. Membership is a little pricey, but it's honestly totally worth the cost.

This is the most wonderfully magical place that rarely exists anymore. We have been coming here for over 20 years and have used it as an escape from city life. The families and staff are what make this place unique and if it wasn t for the commitment and hard work of not only staff but volunteers, this place wouldn t exist. We have a wonderful baby pool where parents can safely play in the water with their children. The main pool with its diving boards and plenty of room for Marco Polo, family swim time, and dedicated adult swim time for adults wanting to do laps make it a perfect balance. A throwback to a time when random acts of kindness are the norm, all children are our children, adults get to be children again, plenty of BBQs and family fun, especially around pool volleyball at 3pm on weekends when adults play and children cheer :). Thank you, Brian, and the rest of the Zena staff for keeping us sane and keeping Zena alive.

Zena Rec is a wonderful place for Individuals of all ages to enjoy the best the Summer season has to offer. It is clean, safe and a cherished Woodstock tradition for the past 50 years.

I can't imagine our summers without Zena -- it is an amazing club! Originally I thought it was "just for the kids", but over the past 7 years I've made some amazing friendships, too. Swim team is the most spirited and friendly team we've ever been a part of. All the staff care for us like family. Simply wonderful!
