One of the best Mediterranean restaurants Tucson has, if not the only one I really enjoy eating at. My favorite is the Chicken Shawarma plate. If I am going to nitpick even at all, the parking is difficult and does deter my visits from time to time, so be aware that you may be competing for a spot if you want to eat here. That being said, it's well worth it.

Extremely rude..... Tried to order food for our business the male who answered the phone was rude to the first person that called so she got frustrated hung up. I called back to speak to the manager and I was told I could not speak to him unless I told him why I was calling. After I told him he still would not let me. I asked if I could give him my card # then pay cash when we arrive. He said no. I told him I just sent someone to ask management if I could pay with my card and they pay me the cash. It would of taken 1 minute. He was extremely rude and said call back for I have have other things to do. WOW!!!! I was personally going way out of my way to order $100 of food which we do every Saturday. Shame on you for not being professional. BTW This is not the first time we have had issues here. Never again!

My friend suggested this restaurant and I was not disappointed! The cauliflower appetizer was incredible and the Shish Tawook plate and baklava were delicious! Great service and will be back to try other dishes!

Will be back again. Very healthy, Mediterranean style menu. Waitress really knew her dishes to the point she knew which ingredients had salt. My gyro was fresh and tasty. Greek friend demolished his chicken swarma, while my vegetarian friend finished two large plates. One Greek salad, the other legumes. Outstanding!!

Delicious, hot food made quickly. Order accuracy is always spot on. Don't know how they make their hummus, but it is positively delicious. Staff is so nice. Prices are fair, and they feed you well.

I am from Detroit, so I know good middle Eastern food. the food is great and the service is fast and friendly. I live in the Big Bend area of Texas so food like this is literally impossible to find anywhere.

Delicious Mediterranean cuisine true to its roots.

The tastiness of their side dishes and the fact that they're able to keep the grilled meats moist show that they are masters of the art.

Don't great encountering here any of the cheap oil filled mushy stuff that I dread in "Mediterranean restaurants"

Zayna is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Tucson. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always on point, even even they're busy. The one time I ever had an issue with an order, it was remedied quickly. (Remember to talk to staff kindly when you have an issue! Not only do they WANT your experience to be great, but your issue will likely be taken care of more generously when you remember that they are people, too!) Try the baklava, it's a perfect little sweet treat to end your meal.

The food here is good. But for the past three weekends, we have tried to order takeout and have been informed that the wait time was 45 minutes to one hour. Last weekend we were on the way home from downtown Tucson and passed the restaurant. There were maybe 3 tables seated. Not sure what they are doing in the kitchen but the food is not that good. Won't bother calling again.

It s close to being authentic but not there yet. Food tastes good . Service is good. I have tried multiple dishes more than once and they are consistent. I would love if they would keep the lentil soup as menu item and maybe add some middle eastern desserts like kunafah. I would totally recommend friends to go and have a nice meal there for sure .

Not sure this place is the place to order from if you're planning on ordering for a large group. I tried placing an order in advance for about 15 people and was told to call back 45 minutes before I wanted to pick up the food. So I did call back and placed an order at 11am and was told it would be ready at 11:45. Showed up at 11:40 and told it would be another 5-10 mins. After being ignored by the wait staff I asked about our order after 20 minutes of waiting and was blown off and mumbled something as he walked away to another table. Ended up waiting 45 minutes longer than expected. Not once did anyone apologize about the wait, offer us a glass of water, nothing. We spent over $150 at this place and it will be the last time. It might be a great place if you're planning on dining in, but be weary if placing an order to go.

Delicious!

Consistently good food in a sit-down restaurant. the restaurant itself seems like it was an old Mexican food restaurant converted to Middle Eastern food. I would return. For any long-time Tucson people, this was the restaurant that used to be near Bear Canyon and Tanque Verde.

Wow. Our group knows Mediterranean food, and this spot was a pleasant surprise for all of us. From the hummus, to the soup, to the shawarma and all things in between, this spot was a slam dunk. Can t wait to visit again on our next trip to Tucson.

Very good Mediterranean food especially the lamb skewer with salad, humus, pita and rice in grape leaves. Lovely flavors. My buddy had gyros with rice. Also well done. Go and enjoy the great service.

I love gyros, but the chicken pita was AMAZING! The chicken was so moist and flavorful. Also, loved the vegetarian platter as an appetizer. They have the best baba ganoush and stuffed grape leaves. Best Mediterranean food I've had in town!

Well I will be 100% honest here. (Which, in America is hard for people to listen to)......but I LOVE the food here. LOVED this restaurant. STILL love the food. ..HOWEVER,.... Covid is here (which has obviously been used to advantage of businesses in various ways)....and getting old now and practically politicized. Zaynas is STILL not open for dining. I can dine MANY places now. Zaynas is still only open for "Take-out".

Well I don't know but I guess I'm sort of done with that here.
I'm sad to say but it has been closed too long now. Sorry.

Decent gyro and chicken shwarma wraps. We got the lunch special: wrap, fried potatoes and a drink for under $10. The potatoes were especially good.
The location is a little unusual. This is a Middle-Eastern restaurant (Syrian) housed in what looks like a former Mexican restaurant. There's a slight musty smell but you get used to it. The restrooms are updated and clean.
Service was great.

Good Food! Medium priced unless you go for the Lunch Specials? Which are Tasty and Satisfying dishes! Don't order appetizers for Lunch and do Lunch Specials and for 2 people you'll spend about 20-25 bucks with tip! That's a good Deal!?!

Fresh Lebanese / Mediterranean food eat-in or take-out. Faves are za'tar pita, stuffed grape leaves and shawarma. Mint iced tea very refreshing on a warm day, too. So happy to have this great local restaurant near our Peter Howell neighborhood here in Tucson!

Zayna s has wonderful food. Today I had the fried cauliflower sandwich and it was phenomenal. The Zayna fries were also delish! Lots of herbs and some lemon make them burst with flavor. This is a frequent local favorite that I visit often. Highly recommend.
