It was my first time buying anything from Zarin fabrics and I'm 100% blown away by the amazing quality and service that was provided during my shopping experience. Not only was the staff helpful and knowledgeable, but the product was excellent quality and beautiful. The fabric that I selected was actually on one of their new furniture displays in their new showroom. I thought it was pretty cool and interesting to see a twisted take on the LES art gallery scene with framed floating furniture on the wall. One of the staff also mentioned that the showroom was still a work in progress and to come back to check out the fun additions that they will be adding. Thank you David Z for the amazing pillows for my new apartment! I love them!!! PS. The artwork on the outside of the building is beyond AWESOME!!!

Excellent selection and service. We visited a few places in the garment district but they simply don't compare. Zarin has a much larger selection - and it is well lit, organised and clean - making searching for the perfect fabric a lot easier.

They also have services so you can pick out your fabric(s) and get the work done as well.

Upholstery fabric your thing or are you making a Renn Fair dress? Zarin s has yard after yard of fine fabric for any of your design needs. The staff is smart and helpful, tell them what you are doing and they can help you find what you need.

Used to be the place to go, now it's hit or miss. I love the shopping though nearby on Orchard Street. The boutiques that have sprouted up are very unique and very hip NYC. I love the lower east side. I just wish Zarin would go back to being unique and the place to go. Please. I used to love this store.

Unbeatable selection of fabrics and trims and Judy has a great eye when it comes to, well, everything. It's expensive to have things made here -- I had them make 6 throw pillows, which came out beautifully -- but worth it.

Disappointing. Very limited selection in store and incredibly rude staff. I was yelled at downstairs for asking what floor the upholstery fabric was located. Upstairs, I was shown extremely expensive selections only and the staff rolled their eyes when I asked if there were any other options.

I visited about two months ago, and had the best time wandering through the rows and rows of gorgeous fabrics there! Had conversations with three different staff members, all of whom were helpful and very nice. Headed home with the coolest fabric, beautifully embroidered with (wait for it...) chickens! The fabric was quite pricey, but they gave me a deal on an already-cut, slightly odd-shaped piece that works beautifully for the window-seat cover I'm making.

What a huge ugly hideous mess this has turned out to become. Wow.

Placed a large order for a client for a Kravet fabric for a client, and was told it was in stock. After waiting 2 weeks the fabric finally arrived and it was a cheap imitation of a Kravet fabric from a company in Fl. A complete waste of my time, and the sales person David B was very rude and dishonest. Anxious to see how long it takes to receive my refund back on my credit card

this sure went downhill into one hot mess. I guess after her Real Housewives stint she just gave up. Sure seems like it. Wow. Shocking. Why even bother keeping this open? The new entrance is a joke, it looks like a Javits Center Showbooth for pickups. Decorator Store? Where's the showroom with decor? Isn't that your business Zarin? Lazy Lazy Lazy and don't care obviously. Not worth the trek downtown.

You can go dizzy with this huge warehouse. Lots of fabrics to choose from at very reasonable prices.

Bad experience !! Bad Bad service,,,,sold fabrics that fell apart...could not get my items back..and when I did they are filthy covered in some sticky substance ..Disgusting !!... Horrible!!!

The most terrible customer service! The staff were beyond rude, cut me off during my sentences, didn't even offer to help me with what I needed before rushing me out the door. Promised to call me with quote which unsurprisingly never happened. So shocked by treatment.

Lovely, helpful people in a well-stocked store that s old-fashioned in the best possible way. People who work here actually know what they have in the store, and they have lots and lots.

I throughly enjoyed my visit. Great selection and, even though I had a limited budget, each of the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. This will definitely be my first stop whenever I need fabric.

NYC finest fabric selection and service for decades !

They have so many choices of fabrics and materials it will make your head spin. Great selection, especially the stain resistant fabric. Zarin runs three floors of the building, and their sales people are friendly, and quite knowledgeable. They supply you with swatches of the material, along with various options, and suggestions for getting your project together. Prices for some materials are a bit higher, but they also do have some discount fabrics. I have no idea why I haven't gone there before.

They are so much cooler than Mood. Of course they specialize in upholstery fabrics, but they have wonderful taste. Al was so helpful! Thanks for everything, Zarin.

I had a great experience at Zarin Fabrics. I first thought it would be difficult to get down to it's Lower East Side showroom from the Upper East Side but it was simple and easy via the subway. The staff is knowledgeable and the selection is like nothing I have ever seen before.

We recently had a sofa reupholstered and the workmanship was better than we could ever imaged! We had no idea of what fabric to choose from the endless amount of choices. Have no fear! Judy, their senior Design Consultant, patiently listened to us to make a recommendation. The "updated" sofa fits perfectly with our decor in our apartment. Great experience and will definitely be back soon!

Good old times are gone when store & stock were 3x larger and prices a bargain. But fabric selection is still reasonable and prices beat competition, so...

Once was a competitive fabric shop, though the prices can't really go toe to toe with anything online. High prices couldn't keep them from downsizing (as they used to have the entire building on the corner.

I had an amazingly good experience at Zarin recently with Susie - who knows her inventory like the back of her hand. I needed to upholster 2 chairs and a couch but had no idea where to begin. After asking detailed questions about my apartment set up, she offered samples of several beautiful fabrics. Any of them would have been lovely. Once we made our choice, she arranged for the furniture to be upholstered. When there was a minor problem with the couch upholstery, she promptly had that corrected. I can't wait to go back for the pillows!

I worked with both Judy and David B in the shop and Christian, for the upholstering. All three were superb and wonderful to work with. Judy and David patiently helped me find the perfect fabrics from their enormous selection and had larger samples promptly shipped so I could live with them for several days before buying much larger quantities. Christian did the most marvelous job re-upholstering the furniture and, but for the ghastly traffic, would have delivered the pieces on time. Despite the miserable traffic, he was in good humor! Horrible. You shouldn t yell at your potential customer on the phone. I am not familiar with buying fabrics and therefore not familiar with terms. When I was simply asking for a quote and didn t sound to understand the terms, the person on the phone (in male sounding voice) YELLED at me, repeating what he just said. Very rude. My heart is still pounding from this horrible phone call. You might need to learn to deal with customers who have varying levels of knowledge on fabrics, IN A POLITE WAY.

This store is as good as you can get for trimmings. Everything is well organized so the store is very attractive. The prices are higher that other stores in the area but you should be able to find exactly what you want. Love the ribbons.
