Always go hear when in the area, my favorite deep dish in the world.

This place has fantastic deep dish pizza! It's almost like eating a pie but instead of a pie it's a pizza. The wait times can be pretty long so I recommend avoiding the normal dining times so to avoid the crowds. Great food though!

Spinach and Mushroom Stuffed! Good draft beer selection to help fill the cooking time. Friendly and efficient staff. Close to a BART station. What's not to like?

Great deep dish pizza, the spinach one is absolutely lovely. Definitely try their IPA beer as well (forgot the name now), goes down well with the food! Only downside is be prepared to wait about 20 mins to be seated.

Came in late night, after 10 PM asking if I can actually buy a pizza, - door was open -customers inside, and the manager replied with a rude NO!

I was somewhat taken back by his response since it was so emphatic-Having said this I probably won t be returning to Zachary s anytime soon. Probably not a good idea to go there late night, you might get slapped in the face

It was ok for the price. I wasn't dissapointed or overly excited. But to be honest mediocrity shouldn't be strived for.

They've had the best pizza in the East Bay award seen up for years and years. I think this is three original one, and the sauce on its slices seems to taste better that what you get at the other branches. I also like that it's employee owned.

Pizza is lit af, try it and youll like it a lot. They ran out of pepperoni last time but even the cheese is still lit as hell my guys

My family just shared a pizza and ate every morsel. The service was quick and friendly and a great experience overall. Would definitely recommend!

Skip the Mediterranean pizza, but the pizza is generally good. Service is a little disorganized.

We had a fantastic deep dish pie with mushrooms, spinach and anchovies. Great crust, the perfect amount of cheese and sauce was not too acidic.
So...excellent pizza, great service..but it was really dirty in here when we visited. On a certain level we could understand as it must have been after a major rush...but there's no reason for food service gloves to be on the dining room floor. It won't stop me from trying another time though!

What do you want me to say, its Zacharys haha always good alittle expensive for pizza.

Deep dish and thin crust. Chicago style. Yeah I know pizza is a subjective experience. So all I'm saying is that for me, Zachary's is the best pizza available on any of the four inner planets of our solar system. And not just by a little bit. By a lot. Astronomically great!!!!!!

I really want to like the pizzas here, they are flavorful but way too salty. I tried the chicken deep dish and the vegetarian pizza.

Great pizza same lame hipsters crowd. The original Bay area is dead just like hip hop... Not Zachary's fault. When these lames go back home I will rate it 5 star again.

Best pizza in California. I'll take the two trip from Sacramento for their pizzas. Deep dish pesto pepperoni.

If you plan on going here be ready to wait at least 30 mins in the packed entry way. This is a very popular Restaurant and it is a bit small. However the vit of a crowd is almost always there and is totally worth dealing with to have amazing deep dig pizza.

Other than Big Cheese Pizza in Gallup New Mexico this pizza is 2nd best. I really enjoyed it. If your ever in Gallup New Mexico you have to try Big Cheese Pizza.

Supposed thin crust pizza---very doughy with some chopped tomatoes, a bare sprinkle of mushrooms, and no discernible "pizza" taste!
Where are the Italian herbs--oregano, basil, etc?
Caesar salad was bitingly sharp with the taste of raw garlic and little else...Last time I order from there

Easily in the top three pizza places I've ever eaten at! Such an awesome place to go out and have a beer at or just to order pick up from. Everything on the menu is good.. while it's always insanely packed it is reasonably quick service. Highly recommend!!

Pizza is great. Had the spinach & mushroom with extra sauce & well done, for a crispier taste. A small is more than enough for 2 people, without other food. The downside to all Zachary's is that it is popular & there is a wait at most times of the day. At 215pm, we waited 15 min to sit & then 30 min for the pizza. Parking is on the street with meters. They have several locations in the region.

Good, but very expensive! Im from out of state, so maybe thats just how much pizza costs in Oakland.

It was a 30min long wait due to the popularity, but we got beers while we waited and put our order in before we even started the wait process. Wonderfully done.

The staff were really friendly, helpful, and generally good at keeping us happy.

Possibly the best Chicago style pizza in California. There I said it. That bring said it's price is high and wait is long. The staff do a great job to make the wait go faster by pre-order and getting your drinks to you while you wait. I have had pizza alla Chicagano from places in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Jose. So far this one has been my favorite.

Zachary's is a great place for pizza. We had the Zachary's special stuffed pizza, and a spinach salad. I look forward to the pizza,when I know I am going to visit.

If you are not used to eating large quantities, with mouthful of cheese, this is not your place, even a small pizza is good for 3

Even though it was busy we got our pizza about an hour after we walked in the door. Not bad I'd say. The staff were super nice and prompt.

Amazingly good pizza! The deep dish spinach and mushroom should not be missed as the tomato sauce is phenomenal! Order in advance to reduce your wait time!

After hearing so much about this place, my daughter and I after decided to what we thought was treating ourselves. We were wrong!!! The pizza was so salty, it was un eatable.
We are so disappointed after spending $$$ on something that we cannot eat. It s sad because we love pizza but this time we wasted our weekend food budget on something we can t eat.

Both times I have been here I have been uncreative and gone for the Spinach and Mushroom deep dish, their classic and the pizza that made them famous. Well they are famous for a very delicious reason, the crunchy crust and the thick pile of toppings will not disappoint. The only problem is that it gets busy during meal times so to avoid the lines come an hour before or after the rush and you will be served in good time. Regardless it's worth the wait.

Second time in a row Zachary's delivered the wrong pizzas through DoorDash and did not even offer an apology or redelivery. First time. They sent a deep dish pizza versus our regular cheese pizza order. Next time mushroom onion pizza instead of regular cheese. You can get a cheese pizza straight ? And added bacon to my gluten free veggie pizza. When I called the lady manager at 715 pm oct 7 Saturday said it was doordash problem. I said it reflected poorly on Zachary. When I said I would not return as a customer she said I was welcome to not come vack

Order a pepperoni deep dish...got in a car. Opwned box for a slice to eat while hubby was driving and the toppings slide right off , and of course drove back showed them, they remade, not any better than the 1st. Wont be back since there are ao many other pizza options for more afforable and better quality.

The wait was about 20 minutes, not terrible as they were up front about this fact. However, we were just a little confused as to why our pizzas took quite so long to arrive at our table when we pre-ordered on arrival so they'd be ready when we were seated (or shortly thereafter). My group enjoyed the pizza itself, going as far as to say it was the best they'd had outside of Chicago. Worth a shot if you're trying to satisfy that craving!
