Its is the most beautiful view you can ever get in yosemite by driving only.

Beautiful views of the area. Really consider being there at sunrise. The sun will rise over (or just to the side of) Half Dome. The lighting creates a beautiful effect throughout the park as it winds its way across the valley.

If you do try to make sunrise, plan ahead. It may be a significant drive, depending upon where you're staying overnight, but it is well worth the effort.

From what we saw, not enough people do it. It wasn't crowded, but it really should have had more people.

Also: this is a significant elevation change from many areas of the park. Plan for whatever weather is happening at the top. It was much hotter when we visited the first time, cooler the second.

An amazing view that is very crowded.
I would go to sentinel dome if you don t mind a hike. In the morning it is empty and a way better view than glacier point.

Driven to the top and walked for a few months in the United States. A rare summer resort. A cold wonderland. Refreshing and comfortable.

You have to experience sunrise over half dome. Their are several trails from the top of glacier point that leads to Yosemite valley. Unfortunately their is no free shuttle service that will take you to glacier point.

Well worth a visit. Amenities are good and the views are stunning.

We ran the four miles trail. It took a while, but it was worth it. For this view I would run this trail again immediately.

Absolutely a breathtaking view of the valley and half dome. Such a great place. The plus is so far every time we've gone up there we've seen at least one bear!

Real life view. It is overwhelming. If time permits, you should go if you allow. I will never forget it. Thanks god.

Drove my car with my family to Yosemite last weekend, decided to visit glacier point, it was wait for 45 minutes, we spent couple of hours there walking on trails and watching half dome and other places. Later checked the pictures taken, all shots were great.

Fantastic views. This should definitely be on your short list. It's also open at night for stargazing -- people mostly whispered and kept quiet. There's a gift shop. The lines for the bathrooms can be long. On your way to/from Glacier Point, be sure to stop for the hike to Sentinel Dome for a wonderful 360 degree view.

Best views of Half dome and the rest of Yosemite Valley

Parking was packed, but it did cycle pretty quickly, so we were able to park without an issue within a 15 minutes. Prepare yourself for pit toilets, bring your hand sanitizer. Dogs are allowed on trail in this area, but not the trails that go off from here.
The views are stunning as always, but why, oh why, do people have to balance in precarious positions on the very edge of a 4000 foot drop? Sure it makes for a cool picture or whatever, but can we just sit down when a momentary lapse of balance is all it takes to die with 300 onlookers? Sorry to get all negative, but it just gave me a panic attack. NPS needs their own version of "Dumb Ways to Die - Yosemite Version".

Awesome views. It takes a little while to get here from the Valley, but it is well worth it

The best view to see Yosemite Valley. It is so beautiful and relaxing. The ride to get here can be very challenging, narrow, zigzag roads with heavy traffic at mid-day. Start early. We took the 4-hour Glacier Point Tour from the valley to get here. We were given an hour to explore the park.

It may takes a while to get there but it's all worth it once you get there... Even I been in Yosemite many times this is by far the best views...so dramatic and sunset with the light lighting up the half dome is breath taking. Unforgettable views and memories.
If you are unsure to go or not, just go, you'll be pleased you did it.

Fun and easy hike! Great for the family, with amazing views at the end. Modestly Shaded trail. A few streams depending on time of year.

Beautiful - A thought drive to get there but worth it.

The views are really good.. You will have to wait for long to find parking place during weekends and on holidays.. Pretty much the is the same case anywhere in Yosemite.. Rest rooms are ok..

From glacier point, we can get better view of half dome, yosemite falls and other places. Park ranger service was very good. Park ranger was informative and knowledgeable person. By evening we reached this point and we spent about two hours here.

It is absolutely necessary to see it. It's so beautiful that we gasped.

The views from Glacier Point are some of the grandest in the world. Half Dome, Vernal and Nevada Falls in the Merced River Canyon...Tenaya Canyon descending from the high Sierra below Half Dome...and a glorious view of Yosemite Valley 3,200 feet straight down...right below you! Not to be missed, but only way out to the Point in winter is on X Country skis or snowshoes. Don't forget your camera!

Stunning natural wonder - you must see this - breathtaking

Point to watch sunset followed by clear night sky with moon & stars. Safe n nice place.

Drove with a c30 (30 ft rv which is the limit). And it went fine. Corners are a little tight but it's manageable. The view was spectacular and the footpaths were clean and well maintained. A must see.

Glacier Point offers the greatest easily accessible views of Yosemite, and probably all of Sierra. You get to see the valley from a bird's perspective and Half Dome dominates the view on the other side of the valley. An absolute must for any Yosemite visitor.

Unmissable. Worth the distance. If you have the energy to walk, reserve additional time.

Hike or drive up and enjoy the valley and Half Dome views!

Although the scenery is still spectacular at the end of April, it is worth traveling in March and April, but the skywalk is ordinary

It s a short walk from the parking lot but the view is absolutely breathtaking. I recommend to drive up there early, it gets crowded after 10 AM.
