I like it, been going to this campground for at least 30 years since childhood and it hasn't changed much which is what I like most about it. I believe it is the first Jellystone Park ever created and I think it's kind of neat that it probably is very similar to the way it was when originated, other people might think it is dated. It isn't a camp resort with big water slides and deluxe bathrooms, but it does have 2 swimming pools and bathrooms with showers. To me it's more convenient than primitive camping (forest camping) but isn't actual "resort style" camping either. Some of the extras I like are the small shop they have there with necessities for sale which a person might need but doesn't anticipate or runs out of like ice, sunscreen, wood, some basic grocery items and things like that, the nightly movies, the swimming, and the wooded camp sites. To me it's 4 stars, for someone else it might be 1 or 5.... there are all the makings for fun there, just depends on who you're with and how much those people like the outdoors - a place to create your own memories and experience. :) I wrote a review straight up on really how I think it is there, I think any negative reviews might be coming from people who have visited other Jellystones which are more "resort" than camping, or have expectations of it being a place it isn't; likewise, some of the 5 star reviews are likely coming from people with a background of "roughing it" camping. 1 or 5 star I think is totally dependent on prior camping experiences, I think the pricing is appropriate & reflective of what visitors are paying for - not a bargain & not excessive .

I was just there over July 4th weekend. The campground was full but everyone was keeping social distance and it was nice. The only complaint that I have is that they say on the website that surfaces and bathrooms are disinfected frequently and the only time I saw anything cleaned was after 8pm when everything closed down for the night. Being that it was so busy it should have been done several times a day.

Jellystone in Little Sturgeon has so much to offer! There are movie nights, dances, mini golf, pools, horseshoes, ping pong, arts and crafts, little bikes to ride, and a soccer field. If you are bored it is your fault! The owner is very nice and walks around daily to make sure everybody is having fun and is safe. There are showers here and a mini laundromat! I don't ever want to camp anywhere else! We usually end up with nice neighbors too! Thank you Yogi!!

Go here if you want to pay for every activity. It was an ok place for a night or two. Anything more than that you better bring the entire piggy bank. Pools are too small and not enough seating especially when they are selling swim only day passes when the pool is already full of campers. Not impressed.

Stayed in the section with tall, established trees. Nice layout but the campsites are very close to each other. Pool areas need some maintenance but the water was clean and a nice temperature. Price is right. I would stay again!

Came here for the 1st time 4th of july week of 2019. The good: 1. The open field is very spacious, but its definitely open with no trees at all. 2. 2 large pools and a kiddie pool. 3. Wifi available although its super super slow. 4. Quiet hours were actually followed.
The bad: 1. bathrooms showers had issues with hot water and water pressure. 2. To many idiots driving so fast around the campgrounds. 3. Gravel roads made it very dusty everywhere. 4. There were fights on 1 of the campsite luckily they were evicted the next day and too many drunks. Maybe its because it the 4th of july. 5. Poor setup for the dumping station and you have to go around the campsite again when finish to get out.
Keep in mind when choosing sites in the front wooded areas they are super close together and its going to difficult to park a large setup as the roads are very narrow and many trees in between. I believe you'll have difficult time with anything bigger than 20 footer. Luckily my site was in the back field by the volleyball court.

This campground is a great place for families! There are sites for smaller pop up campers/RV's and spaces for big rigs too. The campground is well cared for and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice level sites, some with sewer. Reasonably quiet and nicely wooded. But, Pretty limited store. Small old pools without slides or baskets. No Yogi movies most nights. (Hey, I'm 49, and I still like wTching em with my kids, if I'm at a Yogi park!). No coffee at snack shop or store. Worlds worst wifi. Let's u think you are connected for 2 hours a day, but the bandwidth is so lousy that can't load GPS map app maps or most websites most of the time, not even their own site! And Door County has terrible cellular data, too, for Verizon at least!

Very friendly staff and although it was busy for 4th of July week it was still beautiful. The owners of the park are always walking around talking to guests. Yogi and BooBoo come out to visit a cpl times a day. Theres plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. I recommend this park.

Hands down my kids favorite place to camp! So much to do and always has the best ice cream treats! Staff is always very friendly and accommodating! We were camping with a group of 4 sites and staff helped us make it work when a previous camper didn't leave on the scheduled day they needed too! They allowed my parents to pull into a non existing site to make our group work!

Went to rent a site for a weekend, toured the place beforehand and found out there will be no pools for a month just as summer is getting warm!

Associate I was dealing with didn't even want to mention the lack of pools and no discounts offered for the lack of attraction, it's half the camping to go swimming.

I'll be going back to quiet woods.

The sites are huge! Staff at the ranger station were always very kind and helpful. My husband burned himself and they helped him with first aid too. The pools were open with social distancing measures as well.

Park is very family friendly, but the park is dated. The bathrooms seemed to be cleaned regularly, but I still thought they were pretty gross. If you are looking to experience Door County - this is not an ideal location, I would recommend staying closer to Fish Creek or north. Staff are very friendly. Kids had a blast!

Honestly, I've been coming to this place several times each summer over the years. We typically visit friends who camp here often. This place has really declined over the years: 3 pools. Found out this weekend that ALL OF THE POOLS ARE CLOSED FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE 2019. This is their main draw, and it's closed. Game room is a couple arcade games. Main bathroom being closed and the other bathroom near the pool was disgustingly dirty. Poop in 2 of the three toilets. Ick. Playgrounds are OK. Some nice jungle gyms, but then there are also little tykes plastic play houses (the type you buy for your kids to settle for at your house). Seriously, put some effort into your campground. Very disappointed in this place.

Really enjoyed our labor day weekend stay. Quiet and great for kids, many different playgrounds and 3 pools. Pricey in the gift store and for firewood-recommend bringing firewood in from road side stands outside of park. Really close to a cute beach on bay (Hanes Beach, hard to find!)

We spent a weekend camping with our two kids (12 and 9 yo) on 7/14-7/16/17. I had been here as a kid about 30 years ago. Which I think is when they last updated it...

Don't expect private sites. While there are some wooded areas, the sites are all on top of each other. They all seemed fairly level (ours was perfectly level), offering 30/20A electrical and running water. The roads were a bit tough to discern from anything and we wound up driving into a couple of driveways by accident. Some are also very narrow, I'm glad we weren't hauling a large trailer. Some places are open fields, where we saw the big rigs. So I'm guessing they pick your site based on what you bring. A few sites are backed right up onto a busy county road. Close enough to spit on, literally.

They offer a swimming area with two larger pools and a smaller kid pool for free. Paid options include: shuffle board/$2, an extremely hard and dilapidated mini golf course/$3.50 (I think about 75% of the people who start don't finish), push pedal carts/$8, billiards and arcade games. There are areas for volley ball, soccer, and a few playgrounds. So there's a ton of stuff to do. We never moved our van after unhooking from the pop up.

The camp store has just about everything you'd need, including ice/$2 and wood bundles/$6. The wood was dry, which was an unexpected surprise.

They do a good job of offering some activities through the weekend - movies, a dance, games, etc..

Other than all the facilities being severely in need of updating, some camp sites 10 feet off of a busy road, and a kid crapping in one of the pools, it was a fun experience for the kids. My kids want to go again. The adults have to think about it.

Only the second time camping with an RV. Booked ahead of time over the phone using their online map to pick a campsite and meet the needs my family had. Young employees here, but they're all knowledgeable about the campground and answered any questions we had. Convenient location to visit places throughout Door County. Swimming pool was clean and miniature golf was fun. Thanks!

Top Notch staff!!! Super kind and courteous, very accommodating. Bathrooms/showers consistently clean. Although dated, no reason to be turned off.....remember this IS WHERE JELLYSTONE PARKS ORIGINATED in 1969. Without the vision on one man...the other 79 wouldn't be here either Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Great place to bring kids! Lots of activities for kids of all ages and friendly staff. Reasonable prices, clean campsites, and quiet hours are enforced. We first started coming here last summer and our 4 year old asked to go back all winter long.

We spent 2 nights at Jellystone in one of the cabins and had a blast! The cabins were so clean and very well kept up. I love that they have 3 pools - my girls (3 and 13) had so much fun swimming. There are also multiple playgrounds throughout the park for kids to play. The owners were so friendly and you can see the passion they have for the campground. They were all over the park cleaning, maintaining, talking to people, etc. A very family friendly and enjoyable place to camp! I highly recommend it!

Well it was nice the employees are nice very friendly. but I'd watch out for the guy with the boombox almost threw up in the pool alot got out of the pool ran to bathroom guessing to throw up. Locks on bathrooms stalls are broken. Sites are hard to back into with larger campers.

Camping was over all great with a few hiccups. Nice lay out of sites but know that with big campers its a bit hard to get into your site by the wooded campsites vs the open area towards the back of the campground. Store has many options for buying items you may need. Wood is a bit high priced at $7.50 a bundle. Free coffee in the morning at the store and a coffee bar you can pay to get specialty drinks In the morning. Bathrooms were cleaned daily , however the water in the showers at the restrooms are very cold and sadly impossible to shave due to the cold water and goosebumps. I did ask about it and they said sorry and didnt know that it was cold and should have been warm. We are going back agian in a few weeks so I will see if they are still cold. They do make the effort to correct things when needed. We didnt use the pool due to the overcrowding but that could be because they allow outside people to come in and pay to swim. Thats should be re'assessed, again due to overcrowding . Overall a great campground just wish shower water was warm at minimum and have the possibility to change your water temp which it doesnt. Id rather have to pay form my showers like other campgrounds to be to change temp.

We have been going here for years with extended family. Kids love the activities and pool, park area and it gives adults time to relax. Very reasonable costs including the a well supplied and inexpensive convenience store with things you might expect at a campground. Spacious lots with a variety of services for all camping situations.

Pump out etc. on site along with permanent site options and mobile pump out services.

This campground is great for kids. 2 pools, kiddie pool, miniature golf, and fun activities. But if you re not here for a kid centered weekend I do not recommend it. The campers are so close together there isn t a moment of privacy. You can actually overhear the conversations around you. Very few full hookups so we had to use their showers and there was no hot water. Very pricey for a campground where everyone is stacked on top of each other.

Just wanted to share our experience at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Sturgeon Bay/Door County, Wisconsin.
We stayed here over the 4th of July for a week. We had never been there before, in fact it was our first trip to Door County. Despite being a bit run down and overpriced we had a nice site and a decent week...until the 4th that is. On the 4th of July someone decided to set fireworks off in the park. Our family, my husband, 2 kids and I were seated around our fire minding our own business. We did not know anyone else at the campground and since I am immunocompromised we didnt make an effort to get to know anyone. At some point management caught whomever was setting off fireworks and they stopped for the evening. The next day we were approached at our site my management and they accused us of setting off the fireworks. About half way through their accusation the man stopped and suddenly realized that it wasn't us whom he caught the night before because he didnt recognize us. We assured them that we didn't have any fireworks and didnt know who it was. They apologized and went on their way. We enjoyed the rest of our stay. At check out we were again confronted by management and advised that we would not be welcomed back to the park because of the fireworks. After trying to explain again that we didnt have anything to do with the fireworks she said they had a "witness" who said someone at camp site 60 hide fireworks under our camper. Again, we didnt know anyone so why in the world would we let a random person hide thier fireworks under our camper? We argued with her for about 20 minutes before she half heartedly conceded and said "ok, it must not have been you" but by then we had been accused not once, but twice. We let them know that we would not be back. I dont know who set off the fireworks and I dont know whom this witness was. My guess is that this witness just spit out a campsite number, or maybe it was someone near us and they just got the camp number wrong. Either way whoever the guilty party is got away with it and we ended up taking the fall. I wish I would have asked her to bring me to the witness...i wonder what their story would have been then? I could have said "I saw the person in site 23 shoot off fireworks...would they take my word like they took thiers? In the end, we wont camp there again and we certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I hope karma catches up to the people who set the fireworks off and then threw us under the bus.
