I have been doing yoga for about a year in Korea. If you have more than a year of experience, I recommend Level 2, and even if it's your first time, I'm not going to teach you the basics of breathing. You can try 5 times after paying online for 3000 yen. Japanese instructors speak little English (one person) and French instructors speak English well. Half of the students were foreigners. I recommend

Where to learn yoga. Participation is possible as a guest participant. There are also places where English classes are taught. There are not many participants in one class, but the instructor kindly takes care of each individual.

The teacher was very good but when I came back after a vacation she wasn't there without any explanation. I was told that the signature system, Baseworks Practice, is designed to be reproducible and consistent across all their teaching staff and that I would still benefit in learning from all their other teachers in the same method as well. But I strongly disagree on this. The teacher is a guide and matters a lot, often more than the method. Sadly I couldn't find a good feeling with the others teachers there, at the time. ( Limited to my schedule availability). But it's only my opinion. The place is clean but too crowded and there is not enough place to change clothes.

Nice yoga studio - very accomodating for beginners. Some instructors speak more english words than others, so overall you are better off just imitating what other people are doing. But the instructor will always come back to your rescue if you stuck your left foot behind your head instead of the right one. There are a few times when the studio got a bit crowded then it got better. International crowd (but most of the people seem to understand japanese).

Didn t feel particularly welcome or a warm yoga community as expected. The space is very small. The Foundation class was a bit too much explanation and not enough actual poses but when I attended the next level class (which felt suitable, if a little challenging) I was told to try the Foundation again next time... no thanks, YogaJaya is not for me.

Very friendly staff and overall atmosphere. Lovely studio with lots of natural light and free use of mats. English and Japanese language spoken in classes. I was sad to leave when I left Tokyo and hopefully will be back one day :)
