Love the gardens...very cool. Nice people. Meeting space was a little small and internet spotty.
Fun for a visit with family. Not just a garden but also a casle, has a nice area for walking around. Not huge but getting bigger slowly definitely recommend much fun.
Beautiful place, restful, and serene. Great gift shop. Extra points for the electric car charger in the parking lot.
Pleasant morning stroll through the gardens for the first time. A great deal of variety all well kept.
A great little place to stop while traveling! The grounds are lovely, the staff is friendly, and the history is fascinating.
Beautiful gardens thoughtfully developed. Peaceful. Very helpful staff.
Relaxing, beautiful, friendly staff and some interesting art work. Loved it!
Nice little peaceful place I just had to stop by before I went back home to TN
Nice collections and well tended. I happened to be there for their plant sale which had a great selection (go early) and many happy volunteers!
Had my wedding here and the staffs are very helpfull
Very nice surprise.
Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Very beautiful grounds and buildings. Great place for a wedding.
The grounds here are very nice, and this place does have a cool history to it. I have to say I was a little disappointed, I ve heard a lot about this place on tv and online, but it was fairly small compared to other botanical gardens I ve been to, and didn t have as many species of plants as I expected. I thought I would be here for hours, but I was done in a hour and a half and that s me taking my time.
Very friendly staff, adorable items on gift shop, beautiful gardens and grounds, fairy forest fun for kids of all ages.
I absolutely loved our time here. Our kids got to go on a sc6hunt that kept them soooooo entertained so we could actually look around at everything. The fairy garden was so cute. We even found d a secret little garden to have a picnic. We will definitely be coming back!
Lovely grounds and structures. Please forever preserve this OC Gem !
Amazing and magical place. The tour is worth it to fully understand!
Beaitiful grounds and will come back in other seasons!
Absolutely gorgeous. Seriously considering having my wedding there. If not I will definitely be coming back to visit. We did their fairy event and it was perfect.
Everyone was so friendly. Beautiful flowers and arboretum. Interesting macrame art work on the grounds as well. Easy to navigate.
One of the best botanical gardens in the region. Well cared for and beautiful all year long!
Beautiful grounds, very placid and calming. Free entry. Well worth the visit. A hidden jewel.
Great place to take in nature for a while close to Louisville.
It is relaxing to see all of the beautiful foliage and flowers the Lord created for our enjoyment. People who work in the gift shop are always very friendly. I am so glad we have such a place close by so we can visit.
This place is absolutely beautiful. The paths are all covered with gorgeous vegetation and everything is meticulously landscaped. The buildings are charming and perfectly situated. I could visit here daily. I highly recommend visiting.
Beautiful and relaxing way to spend a few hours. The people working there are super nice.
Beautiful environment. Helpful, knowledgeable guides.
Beautiful grounds to take a walk around. They had live music when I was there and it was borderline magical. I would totally go again. It was a bit smaller than I expected, but there are 1.5 miles of hiking trails available. The slower you go, the more you see!
Seems like they have special events on Thursday nights in the summer, check it out!
Beautiful garden! Admission was $9 and I was a little disappointed the buildings were closed but the desert greenhouse was open and was incredibly beautiful and had some impressive cactus. The art and visual flow was very peaceful and you could easily spend several hours here. Theres even a mini nursery where you can buy flowers and plants you see along the trails.
Super cool place. I didn't pay to get in, I ran their cable. I would definetily go there to habe a calm day with cool plants all around.
The gardens here are wonderful, the fact that it's non-profit is also a plus.
The people here are amazing and very friendly. The gardens are beautiful and well worth a trip to go see. I am confident that events hosted at this location would be something to write home about.
Such a beautiful place! My fiance and I cannot wait to get married here next year!
Yew Dell is an amazing place. My kids love going to Boo Dell is a great kid event!
Beautiful garden. Only issue is my wife got inspired and had me stop at two green houses on the way home. Now I'm planting two trees and making a new flower bed lol. So enjoy at your own risk.
Beautiful place to visit. Military are free admission, and sundays your dogs are allowed with admission! Purfect!
Not a lot of color and variety, but nice for the price.
Very nice little garden lots of different plants and flowers to see and the staff is very kind and friendly.
Really cool place. Great for kids to run around. Very peaceful and beautiful.
It was later into the season, and the place was still beautiful with flowers blooming all over. Cant wait to see it in spring next year. This was our first time coming. But definitely wont be the last
There are so very many reasons to love this place. From the little fairy house to the many cacti to the stray cats. Absolutely amazing place even in the bitter cold. I plan on writing a far more extensive review once I can feel my fingers!
Came here for the Halloween experience. Boo Dell. Clever. The grounds are magnificent so its impossible not to recommend.
Beautiful grounds, beautiful architecture! Great place to get inspired, visit with family, and have a relaxing day. And their event schedule looks great, so it looks like we'll be returning!
This is a hidden treasure in Oldham County. Beautiful gardens! Love Thursday evenings Bourbon and Botanicals. Talented acts.
Tranquil and relaxing gem. Lovingly tended flowers and trees are on display. The castle is a must see for any visit. We are members, and it's worth it to see all four seasons in this peaceful garden.
Yew Dell is a lovely garden! They showcase the beauty of native plants by aesthetic arrangement. The structures are on their grounds are equally charming and make a great backdrop for photos or weddings.
They often host events that include: dog-permitted days, plants for sale, and horticulture seminars.
A full sized arboretum packed into a moderate sized estate.
Yew Dell was gorgeous! My daughter and I had a great time. The Fairy Forest Scavenger Hunt was so much fun. There are ample places to picnic. The staff was friendly and sweet. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
A very well known Botanical Garden on the international scale, but one of the best kept secrets of Oldham County. What is it like? BREATHTAKING!!! Even my three-year-olds can't wait to go there again, and I share the same sentiments. Become a member, but if you can't, then the admission price is well worth it.
This is one of my favorite places to attend and coordinate events. The beautiful gardens, well planned indoor facilities, and terrific staff make for lovely events.
Loved seeing nature of all different flowers n plants..
Lovely! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Will go back often.
Great gem though it s a long drive for most people.
Simply beautiful grounds. The barn and rental spaces are wonderful for big groups as well.
Excellent local botanical gardens. Diverse collections of annual , perennial shrubs, native grasses and plants. Check out enormous contorted beech trees in well established arboretum.
Absolutely beautiful. A little piece of heaven on earth. The receptionist at the gift shop counter was extremely, extremely nice. Best customer service we ve had in a long, long time!
What an absolute treasure of Kentucky! 60 acres of some of the finest exhibits of native as well as imported plants and trees you'll find anywhere in Kentucky and beyond. Almost every species has a tag or plaque so as to be able easily identify which plant you are enjoying.
The grounds are clean and well maintained. Admission is very reasonable with children and senior rates.
There is a large pavilion and facilities that may be rented for receptions and other social occasions.
We'll return with our hiking shoes and walking sticks to explore the outlying hiking trails, although much of the main areas are handicap accessible and easy walking. This is an absolute treasure for anyone who loves the outdoors.
Can't wait until spring to enjoy the more than one thousand tulip bulbs planted in many flowerbeds!!!
Nice landscapes and quirky gift shop. the receptionist and grounds crew were all pleasant and friendly hearted. Located not to far from downtown lies the beautifully maintained garden offering wonderful architecture mixed with wildlife and unique ornaments. My time of visit was around Christmas and they offered a seasonal exhibit for kids and families. If you ask the gift shop to participate in a scavenger hunt you can keep the little ones busy while you have time to escape big city life and Take in the sights and sounds of nature. Enjoy.
Nicely organised place. Lovely planting, good visitors shop.
This place is a real gem that many people do not know about, but they should. The grounds, history and botanicals make for a very enjoyable afternoon. On Sundays during parts of the year, they have "Hounds on the Grounds" where you can bring your dog.
Low key and tranquil.. but not a lot to do besides relax
Wonderful botanical garden for the family lots of walking trails and fun events
