I'm not an expert in Chinese food so I would say it was ok. However, be sure to order your desert and coffee in advance as the staff is very strict on vacating the table in 2hours. We had to hurry up to finish our deserts!

Very nice modern twist of traditional Chinese dim sum. Flavours all work very well. Congee and fried flat rice noodle are all delicious. Drinks are a bit pricey but with good variety. We had to keep asking them to refill our water and it can take a while for them to get the water too. Hence service could be more attentive.

Well presented Chinese restaurant with a twist. Dim sum is one of the best in London and although it can be expensive the quality of food surpasses expectations. Desserts are artfully crafted and leave you wanting more. It's very busy so booking is essential. Ask for a table on the ground floor.

Food is amazing here, but getting a table can be difficult, especially when more than 4 and they tell you it's a 40 quid cover charge per person in case of no show! Downstairs is really nice with a great fudge tank running the length of the bar. Staff are friendly and helpful even if the conversation is a little staged towards tourists spending more money!

Good things:

Good things:
- ambience was ok

Bad things:
- food was not tasty. Ordered a load of dishes between 6 of us (couldn't finish it all) and yet each of us only liked 1 or 2 dishes. We ordered quite a lot of veg dishes so not sure if the veg dishes were worse than the meat ones but definitely nothing special about any of them
- not worth the price - much better restaurants to spend your money
- service wasn't great
- difficult to book

Have been coming here for years as is usually a decent bet. The service has taken a huge turn for the worse. Took over an hour to get our food after we ordered, only to then be rushed by our waitress about 20 minutes into getting our meal, stating they needed the table back. They also just didn t bring one of the dishes we ordered. When I raised this to the waitress she rudely asked are you sure?!

Barely any apologies from the manager that evening and I demanded for the service to be taken off.

Go elsewhere if you re in the area. Plenty of good Asian restaurants nearby at the same price point that will not leave you offended and angry.

The service wasn t good, it s only one star because that food was (only) OK and the restaurant was looks good.

The service was seriously awful, one dish arrived 25 minuets after all the other was already in our stomach.

One more good thing is that because the delay they didn t billed us on that specific dish.

Food is good. Didn't see anything special that separates it from the rest in the form of a Michelin star. Service was average. They didn't pay much attention to us but when they did it was very informative and helpful.

One of my favorite restaurants in London! 1 Michelin star, though not overpriced and the food is top quality and taste! Every time I m in London (1-2 times a year), I go here and receive a great pleasure from my visits! Love it and definitely recommend it!

Sophisticated and creative yet at the core yummy, comforting food. Set menu was really generous, we could not finish everything by half. Kid friendly, tho we did sit downstairs which was a little less fancy.

My favourite Chinese restaurant in London! I keep this place for special occasions as it s a little too pricey for everyday rendezvous. It s fine dining without the small plates. I was there for my birthday at the weekend and given it was More

Excellent food but not worth it. The staff started pressuring us to leave after 1 hr and 45 minutes. We arrived on time, were enjoying a nice meal and catching up after five years of living in different countries. The manager insisted our booking was only good for maximum of two hours and kept coming back to hurry us along. When we finally gave in to the harassment, they also told us that restaurant policy is to not allow customers to take home leftovers.

I ve been going to Yauatcha for 11 years now and it s by far my favourite dim sum place in London. The quality of food and service has remained consistent over the years. However the prices are climbing up. Prawn & beancurd cheng fun is a must try! I m not a dessert person but patisserie chefs at Yauatcha always know how to impress.

Exquisitely crafted translucent dumplings complemented by exotic fruit juice cocktails. Each dish (we had eight for a party of three) is a work of art carefully served by highly attentive staff. Favourites are Har Gau, Pumpkin and Three Mushrooms. The dim sum make for a wonderful palatial (as in taste) experience! The food and service are exceptional from the instant you enter their door until you leave!

Lovely dim sum. Good service. Very busy so recommend booking ahead. Walk ins are given a time limit of 1 hour and a half but if possible will be extended. Would go back as I enjoyed the dim sum and have yet to try their desserts.

Food quality and services do not justify the price they are charging at. You can get the similar quality of dim sum from anywhere else in London for a cheaper price. What shocked me was that at the end of our meal, the waitress came back from the cloakroom with our coats/jackets and just dumped them on the seat and said "I can't remember which coat belongs to who, sort it out yourself", and left.
I left the restaurant quite annoyed that evening. Would never go there ever again.

The best Chinese and Japanese restaurant I've ever eaten in. The duck was delicious and the desserts were sublime. Special thanks to the waitress Roberta who recommended the best dishes and translated the menu for us which was written in English.

The food is delicious and the service very good. There are many options of dim sum and main dishes. We booked a table and since it was my boyfriend's birthday they gave us three macaroons with a candle. In my opinion it is slightly too expensive for what it is, but as I said the service is very accurate and attentive

Took my boyfriend for a birthday meal here and it was really lovely. The staff were very attentive, delicious food and cocktails. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful food but very pricey. I would go back just for the cocktails, they were that good!

The Yauatcha is a bit of a place to be ... it is imperative to book! Services follow one another. You can only spend two hours, but what hours ... The Chinese food is tasty, incomparable! The place is nicely decorated and the service is perfect. If you like calm you may be disturbed by the musical background of this very popular restaurant.

Visited Yauatcha last year but forgot to write a review until now. Food was delicious and full of flavour. We got a few different dishes to share and was not disappointed with the quality of food. Homemade macaroons were lovely too and just as we d hoped. Great selection of teas available.

The only negative is the service was slow and we felt as though the staff were either under-trained, or just not very attentive. Even trying to get another drink was a difficult task; had to ask more than once as we were forgotten about. Service charge is included, so maybe they just feel as though they don't have to try? Because of the service I have missed out the 5th star.

Found the dress code to be smart/casual. Although it is a pricier spot to our normal pick, definitely worth it, perhaps a nice treat for a special occasion?

A trendy and modern ambience. Fusion Chinese food. Most people claim that it has the best dumplings in town. Food is consistently very good. Nothing wow but good fusion food. Very good service.

Rude reception which is in contrast to the high-quality food - we booked table and arrived 10min late. Seemingly enough delay to give up our table immediately. Then we were left hanging around for 30min and when we noted that we're still waiting for table the receptionist replied 'you just arrived'

The service is fantastic. The staff are very polite and pay attention in details. They have good old fashion and a good selection of cocktails. The food is very good especially if you are fan of small portion.

Would give this place more than 5 stars if it was possible. The service was exceptional on all accounts and the professionalism of each and every member of staff was above & beyond. The food also was amazing, probably the best I have eaten in London since I moved here 6 years ago.

Definitely one of my favourite places for lunch. Polite staff and no dress code. Perfect for me. I'm equally comfortable here in jeans or business suit. Go for lunch. If you are not sure what to order get set menu for two and see what you like and don't like. It arrives in stages and feels great.

Great venue for a celebration; service just okay.

Great venue for a celebration; service just okay.
We booked long in advance only to be assigned a tiny table with six place settings squeezed together. After a short discussion and a short wait they eventually moved us to a proper table sized for six. Service was hit and miss - kept having to ask for water, wait staff never there when you need them. Other waitstaff uninterested in assisting and completely blanking you. Sommelier was great.
Food was faultless- absolutely sensational as always.

Dim Sum at its best, as long as you can eat pretty quickly. You only get an hour and a half time slot for dinner, huge pressure if you're a slow eater like me and spend the whole time gazing at the array of macaroons and tea selection behind you instead of concentrating on the task at hand. That said, I will definitely be back for afternoon tea some time soon. t all looked pretty amazing.

The dim sum here is amazing- the flavours were so good! We tried lots of different dim sum but we were unfortunately too full to try the dessert! By far the best dim sum I've had anywhere in London. 4 stars are for the slow service and lack of atmosphere in the restaurant- we sat on the ground floor. But the food and drink were incredible.

I've been coming to Yauatcha since it opened back in 2004 on a fairly regular, sometimes weekly basis, with my family and friends. The food never disappoints and 95% of the time the service is excellent. It can be slow at times but they are always very professional about it and respond accordingly.

Personally, I prefer it to Hakkasan, which is also superb. But the dim sum at Yauatcha beats every other restaurant, of which I've tried many, in terms of quality and taste in London.

The staff have always been very friendly and on point. The decor has stayed the same since it opened butI don't think it looks dated just yet.

I highly recommend it for anyone who loves their chinese food, especially dim sum.
