I spent several weeks researching potential publishing companies for my new book. After all, this was a work two years in the making.
When reading the reviews of maybe 100 authors or more I did find what appeared to be a common thread. If the author's book sold well, then the author was satisfied; if the book did not sell, then the author became disgruntled. My book is new on the market, so I don't know whether it will sell 50 copies or 50,000.
What I do know is that Xulon Press produced a very professional, top-notch book, cover to cover, for ME to sell. That's not their job; it's mine. The people assigned to work with me were courteous, responsive and committed to my book. They promised it in 45 days (I got the rush package), they completed it in 30. Their website is extremely informative and tells the author everything (s)he needs to know about the publishing process.

they've only ever sold 1 book on-line for me in 9 years. I have books in places on consignment and make money with them being sold. I think they are crooked. I hope they are being investigated. - God bless
For 3 weeks I have sent emails and left voice messages with no response. The voice message says someone will get back to you in 24 hours, nothing could be farther from the truth.
I sent my manuscript to them, it came back in a worst state, all the formatting was out throughout the entire book, I spent hours over many days having to instruct on every single page where formatting had to be changed back to what I originally sent them. They made absolutely no attempt to reach out to me, not a word of apology or any offer to rectify. My work was doubled.
At one stage I requested by email for someone to phone me, not once but five times. On the fifth occasioni threatened to go to someone higher up the chain of command, then suddenly wouldn't you know, I get a phone call. For a so called Christian organisation there service stinks.
Now retired, I wanted to convert an old article I had written to a full book. Xulon was a great help to this first-timer. They guided me through the publishing process and did all the necessary work. And there have been 80+ book sales in the last few months. Xulon's editors encouraged me to make a comprehensive bibliography for the book, which improved its overall caliber immensely. The best part was working with Monica Minto, a separately hired illustrator. Monica's illustrations, coupled with Xulon's editors and production people, created a top-notch product. Thank you, Xulon.

I spent so much money with them and literally got very little. All in all I spent almost ten thousand in advertising and my first quarter was 17.00. (I haven t made a dime since) I also paid for a line edit and after having excruciatingly minimal results with their advertising division, I signed to another company only for them to recommend a line edit due to the large amount of grammar errors in the manuscript. Wow! I was really disappointed. I would not recommend at all.
They dont call you back after you call them my book has not be corrected yet. This has been going. On Since march 2020. Have not gotting a deline on my finish produce. I am really mad. NOW
