Wyndham Westshore Hotel Review

Did not appreciate the unfriendly staff. Man working at front counter was very rude and sarcastic when I was trying to get my room booked. There was an issue with my reservation that was the hotel's fault and he made no attempt to accommodate or apologize for the inconvenience.

Was there for trading classes. The hotel itself is very nice but stay away from the restaurant. food was ok but very pricey and service, well there was none.

Toilet Clouded and room was very dusty..
Front desk personnel very friendly.

Overall not a great stay. Due to some airport issues I had to call to see if we could check in late, think 5am late. I got pretty confusing messages from the day manager but more clear from the night manager. It was just a little silly that I had to wait until the night manager was there to call. Elevators are very slow and take awhile to work. Water also just cut out in the morning. No mention of it from the front desk at all. No apologies or offers to correct things. Would I stay here again? No way.

This is a terrible, terrible hotel. Any positive reviews? They are faked if within the past 3 years. The staff runs prostitutes. The carpets stink. It is right next to a strip bar and there are shifty people everywhere.There has been no maintenance of any kind for years. DO NOT STAY HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Outdated old musty smelling room. I checked out 3 hours I checked in and that's all I did, checked in, smelled the room, went out for lunch, came back and the smell was just to much, no way I was sleeping in that room and from the looks of things I'm sure the others were the same. Wish there was a way to get my money back!

I had an overnight in Tampa for work. All hotels in the area were over company budget so I decided to try this one. Overall the service was great from check in to check out but the room feels like you were in a Motel from the 80 s. It needs a little bit if renovation, specially for a $150 a night. This was more like a $69 hotel.

I stayed here last year and let me just say that the pictures of the rooms must be from some other hotel, or I got the most disgusting room in the hotel. I kept my shoes on because the carpet was so stained I would have had to throw out my socks. The bedding was wrinkled and I didn't trust getting in the sheets so I slept on top of them trying to sleep in an upright position. The bathrooms were insanely outdated and disgusting even to the untrained eye. I thought I would wash my hands but I found that the soap had been unwrapped and bubbles dried out on the bar of soap. I didn't even attempt to take a shower. Very gross.

Great location, inexpensive. Neighbors were super loud but other than that ok. Clean rooms. In middle of everything!

It was excellent. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The location is a little rough. The hotel itself was clean and quiet. There are a few gentlemen's clubs nearby.

The hotel itself was ok and the room that I stayed in was extremely uncomfortable. They placed me in room 247, which was the first room on the left after you get off of the elevator. Having a good peaceful night of sleep never happened. There was so much outside noise that made it extremely hard for me to get any rest. First of all, the room is located near the 2 elevators and you can hear everyone's conversations, the elevator bell going off constantly and the exit stairwell door slamming every time it shuts.The room is also located right next to a huge outside generator of some sort that is extremely loud. Behind the room is a breezeway that included an outside laundry in which I can hear the washer and dryer going constantly all day long.

The ice machine was out of order and the vending machine was out of order. The WiFi barely worked in the room and there was hardly any signal unless you went further in to the main lobby. The provided clothes iron had black stuff on it in which it was sticking to my clothes and you couldn't remove it. The coffee maker was boiling the water and spitting it out from the top and the frame on one of the beds was broken. You couldn't sit on the corner of the bed without the other side lifting up. My stay here was not worth all of the money that I spent at this hotel. I stressed my concerns about the room during check out and the only answer that I received from the front desk associate was, "Oh I'm so sorry to hear that". No one offered to do anything about it or what they could do to correct anything.

It was very good but the food is expensive. Our rooms were spectacular

Ramada by Wyndham need to prove their service a little bit better and keep it runs a little bit more cleaner but if you ever want to stay there a close to everything like the International Mall Tampa Airport and all these restaurants that you can decide to eat

Bug place to get lost in.. but its amazingly on time whenever you need a special request...

Pit with bad management, cardboard for walls. Dirty. They do have W/D though.

Full restaurant... NO Continental breakfast. Has cable... but no TV listings. Staff is not sociable. Worst problem: I reported the bathroom exhaust fan not working, and was informed from the front desk, the fans don't work in any rooms. Really!?! Obviously, this staff has never shared a room with young family members... the pool is nice...

The front desk never answers the phone. Went down and asked for pillows several times-each time they said they would be delivered to my room, but no one ever came.

Good location. Close to the airport, and plenty of car rental places.

Close to entertainment (Yankees spring training and Raymond-James Stadium) clubs, bars and restuarants. Mall is a few blocks away. Downtown tampa is a $7 Uber ride away.

Very clean, set up nicely with a covered outdoor area to smoke ect on Comfortable sofas and well kept up with.

The rooms, maintenance and custodial staff are great BUT my Mother mentioned to the booking person that she was disabled and they booked us into the furthest possible room. She had to walk way too much

Good bedding, no bugs, beautiful pool looking out toward the airport. I would stay here again.

Room needed someone to fix the bedframe. We slept with our head lower than our feet. Strange building and a lot older. Understand why it was cheaper. Asked for wake up call...still waiting.

Room AC doesn't work well, furniture is old, dirty and itchy and doors don't fully close. Did not enjoy my stay over night. This was a last minute move from our hotel on Clearwater after evacuating due to Hurricane Irma.

Just visited a friend staying there. Seemed like a nice place.

Very nice lobby. However, everything else was sub-standard. The beds were very stiff and squeaky. My room was supposed to have 2 queen beds. It only had 2 full beds. All rooms are have entrances from the outside like a motel. It is located in a low income neighborhood and you get to hear every plane land and takeoff from Tampa International. I was very disappointed with my stay and I will not ever stay in a Ramada hotel again!

I have stayed at this hotel in May of 2017 for Sunset Music Festival and again this past weekend for the same festival.

Pros: Bathroom's are nice and modern. I love the architecture of the building, and how the center of the hotel is hollowed out 4 stories with glass ceilings and the sides are screened in. Coming home at 1 am to a hotel full of people hanging out in the center of the hotel, and everyone hanging out off the balconies made it a homey feel. Would stay here again solely for SMF because SMF-goers made it a cool place to stay. Otherwise, I may check-in somewhere else because of the cons listed below:

Cons: The rooms are a bit dewy inside. I felt a bit sticky the past two nights staying there, and turning on the A/C only makes it frigid and dewy. There was snot residue and dampness on cloth seat. There was tape and plastic on the headboard. The hotel cleanliness definitely shows lack of detail. There is a bit of a musky smell, assuming it is from mold growth because the building is so old. Parking lot gets full quickly when large events are occurring or for holiday weekends.

Great place. Kind staff beautiful rooms and property. 9 pools and hot tubs, 2 lazy rivers, putt putt beautiful fish in the pond. Nice to walk around.

The entire place stunk like weed. The staff isn t very attentive. There was a cockroach in our night stand that we killed. There was hair that was not ours in the bathtub. And one day they didn t even make our bed. And no we didn t have the do not disturb sign out. It was cheap, but you pay for what you get I guess. Would not stay again.

Attended a function in one of the conference rooms. I was shocked to see that their catering used the cheapest bread you can buy. Sandwiches were made with white bread with crusts removed. I felt like I was back in elementary school. Sandwiches were stacked in piles. Very unprofessional.

Stayed one night while traveling. Decent place but a wheel kept falling of of the desk chair in the room (dangerous), and the A/C was squeaky.

I had a good stay. I was working at the Airport for two weeks and it was always easy and quick to get a ride on the shuttle van they provided. The restaurant was nice. The rooms were good and the pool was large. For a low priced hotel i thought it was a very nice place to stay.

Please Stay away from this place.. They have bed bugs. I was there less than 24hrs- The Hotel is very outdated.Staff didn't seem concerned when I called to discuss the issue. Location is good,but spend your money elsewhere or you will regret it.

Best feature no carpeting in rooms so air is fresh , not stale and smelly . Great location near beaches, airport and restaurants. Just needed a places to sleep and shower! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Great customer service. Limited parking. What continental breakfast? Looks like u have to be in rehab for drugs to stay here! Once inside the room however, very clean. Wood flooring. Nice bathrooms. Decent layout. Paid for room in advance and still charged a hold fee plus tax! There is a strip club immediately next door which is the only reason this review got three stars instead of two.

Nice cozy place. Nice place to live. The house keeper was a but rude in the hotel.

Let's see...didn't answer phone for free airport shuttle, 6 calls, took cab, $25.00 extra dollars. Restaurant/bar closes at 10, walk in at 9:37 (looked at time) passing manager on way in. No one inside, ignore till 9:49, no offer for menu or drinks, set ourselves. Manager comes over hands menu says can only get burgers or sandwiches and MUST BE to go, doesn't ask if want anything to drink. He walks away, we leave. Another lady had walked in behind us, she has been ignored too. Now working on cancelling next weekend stay there after cruise....good luck

The customer service was amazing, Kim (my contact, banquet manager), Magda (right there all the time, banquets), and Helen (restaurant server) you are fabulous!!! I utilized one of their meeting rooms for work and everyone was VERY helpful. Rooms are dated yet clean. Can recommend this hotel.

The staff are rude. I asked the server a question about the menu as I have food allergies and I was told very abruptly to eat inidian and the server walked away. He continued to serve other guests that arrived after me before he finally came back and demanded my order. As he did not answer my question on the first trip, I reclarified my concerns and he told me to eat indian again. I asked if all indian items were safe and he stated yes, I asked about a dish and he said no it wasn t safe... this went on for quite a while. I also don t appreciate that the tip is added automatically and my Buffett breakfast was $15 for a meal that I could have gotten at any gas station or Waffle House much cheaper and surely more edible. The rooms were old and okay to stay the night in a pinch but it was very loud. This is definitely a hang out place for those who enjoy the night life.. there are night clubs next door and the bar downstairs attracts the party crowd through all hours of the night and early morning. If you are wanting sleep this is not the place to stay.

Staff was very nice, rooms were clean and looked cool loved the hardwood floors and big mirrors so me and my friends could take pics while on vacation! Location was great, 20-30 minutes from the beaches and 5-10 minutes from all the good local food! About 10 minutes from downtown too! Plus the pool wasn t half bad

I had a King size bed & was Very Comfortable! The room was Very Clean & Smelled Amazing! The Staff was So Friendly & Accommodating. I was Very Impressed with this location. I look forward to staying here again!

Room was clean but old. Hotel is near a strip joint. People were nice.

Stay if your in a pinch to find a cheap motel. Rooms are very small, with a outdated look and carpet you feel like you shouldn't touch without shoes. The bed was not comfortable and the old comforter didn't help. Most importantly I felt unsafe surrounded by questionable characters in the surrounding rooms. On the positive the staff was nice and it is close to the airport. I couldn't help but feel happy when I had to checkout though.

Clean rooms. Price is good. Staff is rude. No coffee till 7:30 am and no breakfast. Have to go next door to orchid and that place is nasty.

Rooms are nice. After that not a great place to stay. Lots of noise after midnight. Fire works being let of in the parking lot. Tried to call the front desk but unfortunately no one could even answer.

Bad... Bad neighborhood. Bad service. Over priced for what it is. They gave me the wrong room and never compensated me for that. The manager never responded my messages to solve this. I ended up changing hotels!

The hotel was very beautiful and the staff were great, the was very clean and the pool was nice but it was a bit dirty with dead bugs, but other then that it was a nice night

Okay place but you have to stand outside of your room to get a decent cell signal. As such, important calls needed to routed via Landline.

This Hotel is terrible, bug infestation dates rooms staff sprayed the room rendering it uninhabitable, rented two rooms, a total waste of time can't recommend this property at all. Waste of time complaining to the front desk. Considering legal action.

I feel as if with Ramada hotels they only have the type of room where you enter from the street and not through a hotel entrance. The hotel itself was nice and decent. They have conference rooms and an outdoor pool. I wasn t happy to know that anyone walking by can bang on our hotel room door. We were under the impression that we would get into the elevator and walk through halls to get to our room. Instead we were walking along other rooms. We were the last room at the end of the hall and we saw many people hanging outside their rooms. It was uncomfortable. The rooms were very nice but we personally will not be staying here again.

Horrible felt like I was in a prison! Room was super moist and stunk. And pretty sure They have bed bugs! I would never stay here again!

False advertising, does not have free continental breakfast. No microwaves in the rooms, very disappointing.

Its 11:30 pm and there is still a party down stairs rented out. The windows are shaking and everyone has come out of their rooms and are complaining about the noise and the front desk only says sorry but they rented the space. This is a complete embarrassment to Wyndham. I wanted to leave and asked for my money back and front desk said sorry you will have to meet with management in tomorrow. Unreal how sad this place is run. DO NOT STAY HERE....

Convient to airport, however when booking through 3rd party wasnt notified they charge and additional $50 at check in. Room was very small and dirty. Bathroom was not clean and ceiling in bedroom had black buildup. Bed was hard. Will not stay or recommend for anyone to stay here.
