Wyndham Westshore Hotel Review

Nice fresh renovated rooms. Big parking lot. A large group of people started a party at 1am on our floor. After police came there was silence for over an hour. Than they came back...and again at 6am. Needless to mention that this night was not a pleasure for us as hotel guests.

The hotel is a bit old but the rooms are modern and for the price the hotel is not bad. It's more or less if you only stay one night. I come back if necessary.

The airs don't work well and you get very hot at night. Rest well

Room clean and fresh but morning came and no hot water and tub was very slow drain.

Location isn't great. There are several strip clubs around. We stayed here only as a place to sleep as we were boarding a cruise the next day. The room was just okay. The carpet was a bit worn and I wore socks, but that is just me. The bed was okay and there were plenty of channels. The check in was flawless without an issue. At times my wife didn't feel safe with the type of people hanging around in the halls. Overall it's what you pay for.

Won't accept cash for room did not disclose on the booking website at all.
Also did not disclose $50 holding fee and said money would be returned in 7 days.
Drove down passed 9pm so cash could not be deposited in any bank. Will not be using again.

It was a good hotel. I was here for a weekend church event. But for 4 or more people the rooms were small and i know they have bigger rooms. We requested a bigger room but they claim they dont take request for bigger rooms. Also they avoided the do not disturb sign.

Horrible, old flea bag hotel...moldy...ice machines dont work on many floors, microwave outside in vending area...rooms older than me...not worth the money at ALL!

The rooms were nice and clean. The stsy was enjoyable. However, I have never received my $100 deposit back at all.

Front desk was wonderful! However, alarm kept going off throughout the night. Curtains are dirty and stained. Restaurant in the hotel took extremely long with our food. We were the only ones there and it took almost 1 hr to even eat. Location is not to far from mall or restaurants. I'm on the fence of if I should come back here.

If there was an option to give ZERO stars I would have chosen that option. Worst service EVER. The server was personable & polite but didn't seem to have enough knowledge about what serving really is. We ordered 9 things which included our beverages and out of those 9 only 2 dishes were satisfactory If this doesn't qualify to be considered awful then I don't know what does. How can you screw up Key Lime Pie in FL? How? You've to be a pathetic restaurant to screw up a key lime pie Yuck. The masala chai was not hot and didn't have the tea spices. American coffee was cold (probably an old batch). The samosas were raw inside and the server asked if we need another order and we refused. He said that he'd take it off the bill and never did. We could have easily eaten the best Sushi for the price of the whole meal. Chicken tikka masala was burnt and tasted burnt Aaloo gobhi was more like halwa with no cauliflower florets in sight fried chicken dumplings were just some frozen dumplings served hot and tasted dry Key Lime Pie was soggy and mushy at the bottom with awful stale taste Garlic Naan was like a thick pizza crust and more like a pizza crust with garlic and coriander layered on top. Rotis were good. We had to ask for forks and extra plates for appetizers. Ambience doesn't help either, feels & looks really old. There were fruit flies in the bathroom (which is never a good sign) and no changing table for a baby in the women's bathroom? Are you kidding me?

Overall this place left a bad taste in our mouth quite literally and in terms of pricing which is way too high for the awful taste they served.

May be our expectations were too high after reading a few good reviews. Authentic Indian food it definitely is NOT, not even close. NEVER going back and would advise the same to everyone who asks for an opinion.

A PISSED off customer.

Very old hotel, loud and didn't feel secure. It is in major need of renovations. The carpet was filthy and our neighbor said they were leaving due to bed bugs. I would never stay here again. There are too many great hotels nearby with equal rates, with better accommodations.

Clean hotel with a friendly staff. Easy access to 275 and the airport.

Stayed here the night before our cruise. Nice clean room and friendly staff. Surprised how large the rooms were. Had a light bulb go out in my room and they were so quick to replace.

Room clean, property maintained. No frills good place just to sleep

My wife and I needed a quick hotel near the airport as we were flying in late one night. The location is reasonable, however, the price and the amenities left MUCH to be desired. The room smelled like it was left hot and humid for most days... the shower had a super low ceiling... the skirt of the bed had a white, um, stain on it... the carpeting was super worn (I wore my shoes and socks the whole time and wished I had my sandals on hand)... I will not be staying here again because you are paying a premium for a budget hotel experience.

Staff was great, clean lobby. However, the rooms not so much. Smelled musty and in general, needed a update.

First thing when my mother and I got there it has a very funky smell to the place. They do not offer breakfast in the morning keep that in mind. They have an overpriced terrible restaurant inside. From the elevators up after you get out it looks like a run down motel on separate levels. Weed smell was consistent each night and day. Rooms are plain and have no microwave. There is a community microwave down the hall. Pool was filled with bugs, no hot tub. No room service. Some tv channels didn t work at times. Key cards barely worked had to get 3 brand new ones. Our room wasn t clean at all. Overall horrible experience and would recommend the Godfrey or Marriott.

We stayed here for three nights (10/27-10/29/17). Our stay was great, Service was excellent, room very comfortable, housecleaning perfect and beyond when we requested extra coffee and such. The second floor is the best if you book a room, you have the whole indoor courtyard/atrium to meander around in. We will definitely use this Hotel when we come to the Tampa area again.

The room was overall nice. Good for someone who won't be spending a whole lot of time at the hotel and just needs a comfortable place to sleep for the night. Bathroom was surprisingly updated and nice. My only beef was that the TV remote was in a special little box that said "Clean Remote" and there was literally a big smudge of something red across the front of it. I had to laugh at the irony...then immediately get some Clorox wipes...

Wyndham and management have remodeled this motel into a safe single entry hotel with inner courtyards for reasonable price. nice new bathrooms with good quality pillows ( better than Disney midprice hotels, though not Hampton) good towels good mattresses so we slept ten hours after a long west coast flight. Still has some older furnishings and carpet but doesn't smell worn. Congenial and helpful staff. Overcame my fear of the tired Ramada name, now my go to hotel near airport

The restaurant is very good and has excellent service.

The staff is friendly,happy and helpful to guests. As a Wyndham Hotel Manager I know what to look for. Room was very clean on arrival, beds are extremely comforter. At no time have I seen any staff just standing around they are non stop. Esther was my housekeeper and she has such a happy attitude. That is not seen a lot so kudos to you Esther. There were no hot water issues for such a large hotel. The pool was great.
Front desk 2nd shift especially the two who worked last night were just so polite and helpful to all the questions I had. Even the maintenance men were always busy and smiling. Great Job!!!!!!

If it would let me post without any stars i would. -0 would be my rating. I would NEVER recommend you to anyone! Not even my CAT. Much less a friend or a family memeber. Horrible service. Very misleading!!!!!

Room was clean and a good value. The location was perfect for our event downtown, and the staff were all professional and friendly. I would stay again.

Inexpensive, with comfortable beds and great service. There's a semi indoor smoking area, good wifi, a pool and workout center. The entire hotel is extremely clean which is very refreshing. I would definitely come for another stay.

Ignorant service staff and the $50 surcharge was actually $172 they took off extra for 2 nights plus the $242 and noone knew what was going on when called about it. Stay somewhere else honestly this place is shady

Rooms are clean! Cost is cheap! Not the fanciest thing ever, but a good value! Quick ride to downtown.

Pretty decent place to stay, not to far from the airport! Room is clean, bathroom is okay, tub is slow to drain. But other then that no real bad complaints, would stay again!

Rooms are clean but the place is old. Continental breakfast is not offered. Very loud and additional refundable fees on top of your room price.

Friendly staff, near the Tampa airport, have to improve the shuttle service that runs until 10:30 pm, if you have a late flight there is no other way to get to the hotel but paying a taxi or hiring a UBER, the facilities will be They see a little old, maybe a revitalization would be good, it's not the best but I would stay again in this hotel.

The hotel is okay, it's clean but not what I expected. A little old, but they clean all day everyday.

Don't leave your car there. I paid for a week of parking while I was out of town and they had it towed. They wanted me to pay 500 dollars to get it out of tow. Said they weren't responsible for it. They ended up paying for it but I had to stay an extra night.

Loud, gross, hot water sometimes works, the bar closes at 10pm, vending machines sometimes work, staff is rude and loud. Will never stay here again. Regretting not going to embassy.

As soon as I got a shower and laid in my bed for the first time under the sheets it was completely filled with white sand. Called the front desk and asked to have them change and the guys resonse was "maybe she will be there in a minute to change them" and never even apologized.

From the street, it doesn't appear that it's big or a nice hotel. I can say that it's much bigger than it looks from the outside. It appears to be pretty well renovated and up kept from the inside. The rooms are very nicely renovated and well-kept. They do have flat screen TVs that swivel and the bathroom had been updated.

Nice spot with nice view of the city. But the help could be a little more helpful.

I have enjoyed staying at the Ramada. My room was nice. The service was nice. I was completely satisfied. I will stay there every time I travel. I will recommend Ramada to everyone I know. Thanks for making my vacation enjoyable.

The room spacious and clean but the facilities in common areas did not look so clean

Nice staff and the room was clean. My only issue was the number of outlets by the bed and I was not able to plug my Firestick into the TVs HDMI port because there was a screw in it...

Rooms were of decent size, perfect for small group learning sessions. Overall pleasant experience

Terrible service, door key cards keep clearing even when reset an never used! Then they acted like I've never used a key card!!

The place reminds me of the late 1960's. The hotel looks very kitschy but I don't think it was intentional. My parents stayed there and hated it because they thought it was tacky. I like the design. There is a large courtyard in the middle like for no reason. I liked that too. The rooms don't have that kitschy feel though. They are very large and modern. I think that really its more designed to be a place for people with flights or cruises to spend the night. It's good for that.

Room condition rather outdated. No sound proofing from the hall way. The restaurant service is horrible. Not a good neighborhood. Felt unsafe.

Housekeeping are a bunch of thieves. I witnessed this first hand- bird calling each other when people are coming back to their rooms.

Rooms are clean, but the service is poor they don't even put the trash bags in the garbage containers. Toilet doesn't flush right and water pressure is low on the 4th floor. There is no microwave in the rooms.

Check in was slow due to some confusion. Rooms were nice enough, though nothing fancy. Hotel restaurant was Indian and quite good.

The hotel is located in a convinient area, there you are very close to restaurants, shopping malls, LA fitness and so on.

Clean. And quiet. Coffee in the morning s in lobby.

Very nice amazing a very good place to take your children

The handicap room was spacious. The shower was not a sloped floor with a drain. There was a nice sitting area outside the room where you could enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
