Lovely patio with heaters. The farmland is beautiful. Parking is an issue with no signs to direct you when the few spaces were filled. The menu is quite limited and expensive. Our meals were just ok, nothing special for the price. The wait staff were very sweet but overwhelmed and poorly trained, not their fault. Desserts were terrible.

I wish I could give them zero stars! Called a week before Thanksgiving and reserved a boneless prime rib roast. Went the day before Thanksgiving to pick it up, we were told the order was overlooked and there was no prime rib for us. We were offered an item from the butcher shop free of charge, none of which were nowhere near what I would serve for Thanksgiving. The meat on display was a sad affair. Went to Wegman's and got a dry aged prime rib, which was spectacular! In the end, things worked out but I would recommend that everyone should stay away from Wyebrook Farms for their butcher needs. They had my phone number; the hostess showed me the paperwork but did not provide any reason for why we were not called. Unbelievably unprofessional. I don't know how they justify their existence. I also wonder how their restaurant can stay in business if your meat choices are limited.
I would put minus a star. I order the blt sliders it took 1 piece of bacon to make 3 sliders that I waited an hour and a half for.maybe the b is for bread. Beautiful place poor service. I had to ask if I was getting food because no one came to the table after the order was taken
I would give it 5 stars based on experience as the setting and views are all amazing. The food however was just okay and overpriced. We got the pork terrine as an appetizer which actually was surprisingly really good. I then got the beef shoulder and was very under impressed. It was dry and tasted exactly like a pot roast made in a crock pot. My wife's entree was just okay as well. We then got the honey pie for dessert and it was actually amazing but sure better be for $9.50 a piece. The place has a lot of potential but still has quite a ways to go to justify spending that much.
Location superb. Appetizers and soups terrific. Main entrees disappointing. Had a pricey pork chop that was 75% fat. Should have been called a "fat chop".
We made it a tradition that we go there once a month and buy meats, you can taste the difference and freshness. We are very pleased and proud to have Wyebrook Farm around.
Great food - small portions - but mostly the atmosphere makes the meal. The old stone barn and tables looking over the courtyard where there is often live music are charming and unique to the area!
We're anxious to go eat here, but we're very disappointed. Setting was beautiful and place was very unique. Took forever to be waited on, ordered cheese platter and it looked like tiny shavings left from a slicer. Squash soup was cold when it was served. Beef shoulder portion not much bigger then a half dollar and was disguised by broccoli. Very overpriced, We went somewhere else after we left because everyone was still hungry. Better off going to 7stars Inn.
Was given gift certificate but when we went to visit- it was closed- left messages to ask :why you would sell gift certificates when you knew you were going out of business.... (we went to their site within 3 months of sale of gift certificate)...they never returned call..... real problem with integrity- may have good taste but treating people like this is bad business.!
We had dinner in Wyebrook Farm last Friday and were very impressed with both the hospita, lity and the quality of all the courses. This is a place that values Quality (and luckily not quantitiy). We started with a delicious tasting of the different dried and spiced meats, combined with excellent little delicious tasty bites. Our entrees were black pork (best pork ever tasted) and creative risotto-beef very inspiring). For desert we enjoyed the chocolate yummie cake with salted pretzel on top - delicious! All food is from the farm. We ended our wonderful evening with a stroll along the herbs and vegetables. Great place! Maayke & Chris (from the Netherlands, touring the USA)
We went here for a couples night on a Friday. We sat outside on a lovely evening with live music playing. We ordered one item from each course on the menu lingered over our food for over two hours and had a lovely time. You definitely pay for the farm-to-table experience and the ambience but I believe it is worth it.
I grew up in the area long before the farm was a restaurant and it is now one of my absolute favorite places by far!! The food alone is always incredible and prepared just right. The service is wonderful and so inviting regardless the day in the week or time of the day. I recommend this place to anyone who can appreciate how fresh food should be prepared. I also recommend Wyebrook to anyone dealing with allergies and or food restrictions. I am Gluten and Dairy free and they have always been so helpful and I have never had an allergic reaction to any meal I've enjoyed there.
Dismal hamburger experience on a soggy roll. Did not see that coming! Music was great. I preferred the old, food-truck window service better than the new restaurant table service. Come to think of it, the last time I was at Wyebrook, I went home with REALLY tough, substandard NY Strip steaks! Should remember to steer away from their beef if I ever find myself back there. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich, and commented that it was delicious, but that the roll could not stand-up to the moisture of the sauce.
Just took a Jelly and Jam class. It was excellent. Audra (instructor) was informative, friendly and all around great teacher. Brunch was a pleasant surprise. Hope Aurda will do more classes
After brunch today (OK), my wife and I purchased a ribeye steak for dinner. The steak, with bone, weighed 2.25 pounds and cost about $50. I broiled the steak, let it sit a bit, and served it medium rare, leaning towards rare. In short, the worst steak - grass fed or otherwise - I have ever had in that price range. The meat was poorly marbled, even by grass fed beef standards. The taste was fair at best. What set this steak apart was the texture; easily the toughest - without question - ribeye steak I have ever had. My wife and I had trouble cutting it with serrated steak knives. My wife could not, literally, chew through it, chew it enough to swallow. Overall, overpriced, lousy taste, poorly marbled, unfathomably tough. I will never by any beef of any kind from Wyebrook again, and, if I ever go back for a meal, will never order beef from the menu. The Wyebrook people should be ashamed of themselves for charging premium prices for a piece of lousy, low grade beef.
My burger and fries were delicious, but it was way overpriced and it seemed to take a long time to prepare it. Of course, the scenery there is beautiful. I do not understand why the pricing cannot be more reasonable. Nineteen dollars for a burger and fries is rather steep. It seems like many other diners feel the same way.
We dined at Wyebrook for the first time and brought along our good friends. We were immediately awed by the panoramic view of the farm! And then we met our server Caitie, who was very attentive and quite knowledgeable about everything on the menu. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious! The four us loved the creative dishes served. All in all a fabulous night out with friends! I highly recommend this hidden gem!!
Absolutely phenomenal! Food was excellent and the setting is absolutely gorgeous! Will definitely recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back...
A beautiful setting and very hospitality staff, but menu lacks diversity and food quality and portions not up to par for big city prices. We had to send back 2 dishes including a $26 chicken plate that could not of had more than 1 oz of More
Way over rated!!!! Food was mediocre at best No flavor, extremely bland Chicken, pork and beef were all a disappointment Liver pate spread on a big chunk of bread for $14 - terrible Extremely overpriced Atmosphere was nice, but not worth the price Service - not great - could not explain menu and was S L O W ! Don't believe the hype!!!!
-Atmosphere: Very upscale and cool. -Breakfast: Outstanding. -Next visit...a private dinner for our friend's birthday: perfect location, but the food was not as good as it could have been. -When the owner found out that we were underwhelmed, he went out of his way to ensure that we were all happy and satisfied. A smart guy and the right thing to do. We were very grateful.
Overall a great place to go and a wonderful experience. The owner gets it: understands good service, and it's value. I'd highly recommend this farm to all family and friends.
A highly under rated resturaunt. The rustic farm atmosphere gives eaters great comfort and the food that is served perfectly matches it. The food is better seasoned, cooked, and served than any resturaunt that could be found in the city. All food is fresh from local farms and the staff is always happy to explain the dishes.
Food was ok. Took forever for the food to arrive once the order was put in. The staff at Wyebrook is not equipped to handle large crowds as they were very disorganized throughout our entire time there. Service could have been better and their menu could stand to be updated. One of the members in our group even found a hair in their food. Nasty!!
For appetizer we ordered liver pate it came on a huge slice of bread and was virtually flavorless.for entree we ordered pork, beef, and chicken all were dry and flavorless. Bad experience will not be coming back.
Food is delicious, the setting is gorgeous. I enjoy the rotating menu - we get new options every time we go, since we don't make it out too often! Always an interesting selection, with classics and twists on classics. The service can be a little slow, but that's part of the experience of a more laid-back meal. A little pricey, but not too bad when you consider the high quality, local provenance of the food.
Visited on 4/29/16 with a party of 6 for dinner and desert. Great place! Awesome seasonal, local, and as close to sustainable fare as you can get at a great price for the caliber and with a great view to boot. Highly recommend! Staff was knowledgeable and courteous. A nice market selection as well.
We loved it . The food was fresh and delicious The view looks like the English country side. The staff were as pleasant as could be. I love that this farm is thriving. My daughter and family live at the meadows edge, so we are very familiar with the area. My husbands family has lived near Isabella furnace since 1949. The paths going thru the farm were a delight to walk on our beautiful spring day, April 19th. I guess you could see I'm biased. I loved it and have told everyone to go to your web site. We'll be back. Enjoy your success
I wish I had something wonderful to say about our experience at Wyebrook Farm on August 12, 2017, but it turned out to be a disappointing evening and the worst dinner any of us ever had. The pork loin was undercooked and 80% fat and the beef was so tough it was like eating a shoe. We were so excited to celebrate our good friend's birthday there and it was an overpriced disappointing evening that certainly did not meet our expectations or the ridiculous amount of money we were charged for below mediocre food. I spoke with the general manager on our way out and have also emailed the owners and the.chef to inform them of our experience and have yet to receive a response. Needless to say we will not recommend Wyebrook Farm to anyone and will never return!!!!
I had been anxiously anticipating my first meal at Wyebrook Farm. I had heard great things about it! Unfortunately, this place is severely over rated. I went there on Saturday, October 15th for lunch with my sister, her husband and my mother. We had a 1:30 reservation and arrived exactly on time. We were seated promptly and the waiter took our order. Half of us got water and the others got Iced Tea. We also ordered the fried Tempura Pickle appetizer. The beverages were brought out and eventually the pickles but that's where it ended. We then waited 90 minutes for our main course and NO it was not understaffed or over booked! Then when the food finally arrived it was horrible! My mother's ribs were inedible. To their credit when we told the server he did take her meal off of our bill but the whole meal was a very bad experience. Do yourself a favor and go to Sonic or Billy's Burgers you'll get much better service and better food.
