I came to the zoo with my little family today, nice zoo, BUT where are the zoo keepers? We seen a guy putting his umbrella near the panther, struggling to get it back, kids going in the little remodel they have going on, could've hurt themselves, && a child in the duck/swans area splashing && scaring the birds while my son && niece was trying to feed them, parents just starring at them like they could've hurt the animals! Or the animals could've hurt them, tickets are expensive, good zoo to take the family but they need to have zoo keepers around making sure there aren't people fooling around.

Actually the zoo and aquarium are still closed however Dillonstar no star in the name, barbecue restaurant is open next to the zoo entrance good barbecue and the tables are next to the large aquarium tank was fun watching the sharks and stingrays along with other fish swimming in the enclosure

Love this zoo because it's not all about putting the animals in cages for the poor creatures to be gawked at. Seeing a good portion of the animals being in open enclosures able to roam freely, interact in their communities and actually live instead of just existing is as beautiful as it is educational.

This place is amazing if you want to see an abundance of different species. However your best time to go is when it is cool outside, there isn't much accommodation for the patrons for shade or even misting systems during the hotter summer months.

The park is wonderful, but it is very large, so it would be nice if they'd offer a tram service to get from one area of the park to another. They use trams for paid tours, so it can't be that hard to add trams to help visitors easily access all sections of the sprawling zoo. The biggest issue and the reason for 3 stars, is that they state that no "outside" food is allowed, but the food they offer is incredibly expensive and made poorly. We paid $5/soft pretzel and each was ice cold & soggy. $4 for a bottle of water.

It was really fun to explore and see so many exotic yet so interesting animals, they have so many different animals from birds to gazelles. And I'm a bird person so I enjoyed most of the birds. And you can hand feed some of the birds there. If you are bored and really have nothing to do besides the same old same old, then try going to this Zoo with family friends or just by yourself for that matter!

Lots of great exhibits, the animals were all very lively. My favorite part was the bird feeding, so definitely try and take advantage of that! They also have several small rides. We went on the log ride which was cool because you go right by the aquarium and can see some fish from the ride. We also got quite soaked from it, so it's a great summertime ride. The petting zoo was also fun, though the deer were scared of me since I'm quite tall.

What can we say we love this place. You can get up and close to the animals. In all the times we have visited we have always seen something new. They continue to grow and offer a great and educational experience. Price is high but so is the normal zoo, but like a zoo get a membership. Get there early there is a lot to see and adding more. Oh and never pet the panther.

So so day.

So so day.
Not worth the money... and there additional rides are GREATLY OVERPRICED!
If you do go... get to one of the parrot feeding times.

One time, when I was much younger, I went to the zoo with my family and we were attacked by bees and swarmed by peacocks! It was terrifying but a memory I'll always treasure . However the zoo has gotten so much nicer since then. Id definitely recommend I LOVE the zoo.

It was so much fun to see the animals! We went on the train tour and tram tour. Both take you places you can't go to on your own. Be warned: food and rides only accept cash. So either take it with you or pay the fees to use the ATMs there.

Really nice variety of animals. The zoo is very clean and the animal enclosures are spacious with lots of enrichment. It's quite large as well. We were there over 5 hours and didn't do and see everything.

Lots of different animals. Environment not very good. Felt bad for the animals. A lot enclosures with painted backgrounds and concrete bottoms and fake trees. The Tigers were stressed and panting and it wasn't even hot out. Rows Upon rows of cages. I have never been to a zoo before and this will be my last. Truly heartbreaking. If you want to teach your children about animals watch plant earth or something. Don't support a for profit zoo.

It was hot when we went but it was still good. The animals we're all fairly active for it being 104. Overall it was awesome and everyone was so friendly and we all got to make some memories. We got to feed stingrays and giraffe

Really liked going here! 6th grade field trip, but awesome for any kid. They have a baby animal nursery, petting zoo with deer and goats, you can feed giraffes and birds, pet the stingrays, they've done a really good job!

for those that are bad mouthing this place saying the animals look "sad" and "starved" this zoo is a rescue center. all of their animals can't live in the wild and come to them sick or hurt. prices are high because that money helps pay for the bills to care for these needy animals.

Lots to see. Wonderful zoo. Love the aquarium. It's so unique to this zoo. The attractions (additional fee for those on top of admission) are hit or miss if they're operating, but we did the sky lift ride and it was very worth it.
Be ready for lots of walking. The walk around the zoo is 5 miles, I believe. Great zoo for kids. We saw SO many animals. Tigers, lions, tortoises, giraffes, pygmy hippos, zebras, etc. Many, many birds. Worth the trip!

Visited Dillon's restaurant for dinner. The views are spectacular! If you choose to sit inside you are surrounded by an enormous aquarium and outside you are seated right next to the flamingo exhibit. The food is decent but pretty basic.

It was ok. Very far to drive from Chandler. The zip line wasnt operating when we were there and certain areas were shut down. We couldn't visit the kangaroo area because it was closed. Just a mediocre zoo, I prefer the Phoenix zoo.

This is a great place to eat and check out the animals. We shared it with family that had never been and they really enjoyed the beautiful and huge aquarium. The service is always excellent.
