Great place for events in the past. Declined in recent years. Upset at the quality of communications with members

CEO Jane Wales is a treasure. Programs range from good to outstanding, with extremely qualified speakers, and ample opportunity for the audience to ask tough questions after broadcast recording has been completed, except in the case of book tours, which (unless you just want a signed book) are best avoided.

I have come here for a couple of lectures. My take is: the speakers are good but the audience does not show enough respect by asking enough hard-hitting questions. The result comes across as a sort of adult education social studies class. For certain, it's well located, handy to Union Square, public transit and dim sum. Hmm, maybe the dull questioning is MSG induced.
