Stayed in this dump a few years ago. Rooms smelled like sewage, food was terrible and even the bicycles were rusted and not useable. The so called entertainment was horrible. Stay away!

The exceptional four-season Poconos family resort ...

The exceptional four-season Poconos family resort is located about a two and a half hour drive from northern NJ. The resort can be summed up as comfortable, friendly, inviting and family oriented.

We had the opportunity to stay in the Edgewater Suites (pictured below). Our room was a one-bedroom suite located at Woodloch Pines in the Springbrook building. These rooms are absolute gems for those with children due to them having indoor access to the indoor pool complex, indoor laundry area within walking distance from the suite, indoor excercise area and indoor splash zone area and game room. The suite featured 2 queen beds in a large bedroom with lakefront views and a queen pullout coach and regular couch in a large living room area. The area featured a pocket room door divider to close off the bedroom from the living area at night as well as black-out curtains. Our living area boasted some amazing lakefront views compete with a private balcony with seating and a drying station for wet towels and swimsuits. The suite had two televisions, two bathrooms (one in the bedroom with a bathtub/shower and one in living area with large handicap accessible shower), and loads of closet space (YES ! a walk in closet). I was also such a fan of the loads of natural light and ample lighting at night. I truly felt like I was at home and there was plenty of room for the three of us (toddler included) to come back to the room, relax and not feel like we were on top of each other.

The dining experience while at Woodloch is truly next level. You have the same waiter and the same table for all meals during your stay at Woodloch which creates a fun and inviting environment. You know exactly where to sit and you are able to create a relationship with your waiter/ waitress as the days go by. [ This is also a PRO for those with little ones as your children get to bond with familiar settings while dining ]

Dining with children is HARD as it is and the setting at Woodloch Resort makes things comfortable and enjoyable.

Beautiful and very well maintained resort property. Stayed in the Gateway rooms Oct 16-18 with four adults and a teenager and had plenty of space ! Paintball wars were a highlight as were the quieter nights by campfire playing games nearby. Meals were very tasty and the service was fantastic. Our waitstaff Tara was exceptional. She learned much about our extended group of 13 and reminded us which menu items fit our dietary needs as well as which ones we may want to give a try. Thank you Tara.

The resort is definitely more geared to families with younger kids.

Stayed at a house in Woodloch Springs which is approximately 10 minutes from the resort. Lots of different activities at the resort, although many activities have strange/short hours. Very friendly staff. Good family vacation location, but pretty expensive.

I will say it forever, one of the best things in life is to stay at Woodloch, whether at The Pines, meals included, rent a home at The Springs, beautiful spacious clean gorgeous homes on the golf course, Or stay at The Lodge for the ultimate in a Spa vacation. Whichever you prefer, you're in for a treat. We actually got married on the lake once upon a time. That's our finest statement about Woodloch, and now we have our reunions at The Springs every year

Woodloch brings the best parts of a cruise, summer camp, and luxury vacation all together into one! there was never a shortage of things to do. Even though we did not have the best weather we were going non-stop from breakfast until midnight every single day. There is truly something for everyone in the family . Cannot wait to go back! Very Impressed.

The resort is on a beautiful location. A fun place for groups, families and couples. Variety of activities, such as go-kart, rifle range, ski-shooting, ice-skating, paddle boating, etc.

Payment process is a bit out-dated. All the places are quite a walk from the hotel/ houses. We reached at the activity spot and were told to get tickets from the central location, in the housing area. There was no way to pay right there and do the activity.

My wife and I, late twenties, stayed for 4 nights at the Mt Laurel complex in the Woodloch Pines in Early April. The weather was colder than I was expecting but we packed many layers and there are various fires set up across the facility. If we decide to go again, I think we will try late spring or early fall. The two big contingents will be price and group size. The Woodloch resort is a little expensive. My wife and I really enjoyed our time together, just the two of us, but I think the thing that keeps people coming year after year is having the whole family with them. Woodloch easily accommodates for many different tastes. Additionally, the resort is not too large that everyone goes off in their own direction and no one sees each other. Overall, this was a very positive experience. We were looking for something laid back and at our own pace. The Woodloch was exactly what we were looking for: great food, engaging activities, excellent and spirited staff!

Activities:
There are a ton of great activities offered at the Woodloch resort. While overall the activities are tailored to a family with preteen children, my wife and I really enjoyed Archery, Viper Go Cart Racing, Hot Tubs, Horse Racing Event, and the Ping Pong Room overlooking the Indoor Water Slide. Of the extra expense activities, we also enjoyed the firing range (.22 rifles and paint balls), mini bowling / arcade, and the spa. The Woodloch is a place where you get what you put into it. For example, while the board game selection on resort was poor at best, my wife and I brought a few of our favorites which there was plenty of room to play in our room or in a number of locations throughout the resort. Due to the weather there were not many lake bound activities, but if we come back I ll be sure to bring something like an RC (radio controlled) boat. That would be really cool!

Food:
The meal plan was something my wife and I were very unclear about before booking. Ultimately, we decided on the twice-a-day plan. This constitutes Breakfast, where you must be seated in the main dining room between 8:30am-9:30am each morning, and Dinner, where the seating times change each day but you are given a schedule with breakfast. Breakfast featured a 3-course meal every morning; juice & fruit, cereal or oatmeal, and the warm breakfast (not to mention the occasional extra side like crumbcake). Every morning we skipped the cereal and oatmeal section and still left very full. Each day we bought a snack around noonish to make it to dinner but you could easily pack your own lunch snacks. If not, there are plenty of convenient places to go. I m sure many people will be able to function on two large meals a day no problem. Dinner was a 4-course meal with soup, salad, warm dinner, and dessert. Once again, we often skipped the soup not because it wasn t good, but because there was so much food! For the Warm Breakfast there is one featured meal and a variety of meat and egg options. For the Warm Dinner, there are 3-4 options to choose from each night.

While the Woodloch has some aspects that have been ignored over the years and need some updating or fresh approaches, their greatest strength (and what has made them the powerhouse they are today) is the staff. Any staff member will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. I think the biggest mistake you can make here is staying quiet if you need something or have a question.

My wife and I came from the Woodloch Pines Resort and had a little bit of trouble finding the Overlook Dining Room. Our experience was very positive. The service was excellent, the view was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent. The only problem was the food was a little expensive and the quality did not match. In no way was the food bad, it was just solid. We got the Fish & Chips and the Hole-in-one burger. I wonder if the high prices are due to the lack of competition in the area, especially for lunch. I think this would be a very nice place to go for drinks and/or dessert.

We spent 6 lovely, wonderful days here and we honestly cannot wait to go back! Our vacation was one of the best ever. We've been around the world to many places for vacation and Woodloch is incomparable to anything we've ever experienced. We will always have the most amazing memories from our stay at Woodloch. The staff are so friendly, they become like family as they truly care about your time and experiences with them and exceed all expectations you could ever have. The food is unbelievable while the wait staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We are more than impressed with Woodloch and can't emphasize how absolutely wonderful this place, and everything associated with it, truly is. EVERYTHING was incredible, we couldn't have asked for more, they exceeded our expectations by far!! Thank you all from the Matarazzo family! We'll be back in the near future.

This was an excellent resort for the Woodloch Pines. The quality of food was excellent. The rooms were really spectacular they got Samsung TV they got cable just like my channels at home related to Verizon FIOS. I like that view from the balcony it was beautiful. They had lake Pocono Mountains and trees surround us. I like that indoor pool is really good it has 6 feet deep in case if people want to go to the pool you could do that indoor without going outdoor pools in the bad weather for the summer. I hope I could do this again soon to go back to Woodloch Pines again for my 2nd time.

For the 4-6 day stay its not really two days you can check in at 5 or 6 pm and check out at 11am so you only get one day of activities and you pay almost 700$ for two people. There is a 40$ tax okay that is normal but 70$ service fee is not and they donate a couple dollars to a school when you check out which is nice but you should ask not just apply it to someone's card because it was in fine print somewhere.

Great option for family fun! We rented a house with whole family to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday and there were tons of activities for kids and adults, great scenery and excellent service. The food is good enough for serving that many people. Definitely recommend if you're looking to get everyone together or just an away weekend with your fam.

I went here on a corporate retreat (so I have no idea about the prices). I tried out ziplining and paintball, both were really fun. The house I stayed out was very nice and spacious, every bedroom had its own bathroom.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I definitely felt like a second class citizen when I was eating as a vegetarian. The beer selection was pretty terrible, only a one of 20 or so was really worth drinking, IMO.

I go here every 3 months with my family. We have a nice big house that can fit 8 people. The staff is super friendly(Nick is my favorite). Go carts are fun, the forest, the shows, food, lake, pool, shooting barn, zip lining, and water skiing are amazing. I definitely recommend this place for anyone. Another thing I love are the shows. The shows are held in a huge auditorium with big tables with snacks. Most shows are kid friendly and some aren't. So it's a good place to go even w/out kids. I have been going to woodloch for two years now and I love it any season. It is very cold in the winter though. I give Woodloch a 100000000/10. Also very clean.

Attended a company offsite here and simply loved it. There really is something for everyone. From skeet shooting to archery to swimming to sailing to paintball to bumper boats, there's just so much to do, you need a few days here. While the main lodge area is a little outdated, it screams country and is in pristine conditions (no spider webs in corners here) and is just very homey. Staff is very friendly and attentive, I must return!

Beautiful grounds, was there when it was a bit chilly but there's so much to do. Haunted hayride was surprisingly fun. The rooms are amazingly spacious and comfy and feels like you're walking into a home. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Ate at the Main with about 350 people and it was incredibly fast but high quality food.

Great facility. So much fun. You book appointments so there is no wait time. The room ate great. The water pressure was not very strong. The food was pretty good. The staff was very friendly. The only real issue was not all people has masks on correctly but it was not crowded so there was plenty of space.
