Went for Sunday brunch. The food was fantastic and the service was flawless. We had heard good things about their brunch and the experience lived up to the hype. The only issue I had was leading up to our visit. The person who answered the phone to take our reservation really stressed just 'how busy they were and how it would be extremely difficult to fit us in'. The only available reservation was at 11:15am which frankly was perfect. We arrived and it wasn't even half full. By noon it still wasn't full and by the time we left at near 12:30 I saw some tables open. Someone lied to make it seem like my call on a Sunday morning wasn't timely enough to make a reservation. I don't need that BS stress.

Truth in advertising please. Don't lie because your customers will see the truth plainly with their own eyes. I know they are well respected but I didn't need them to tell me they couldn't fit us in at noon when they very well could have.

BTW, go before noon and stay until noon to get a free bloody mary, mimosa or champagne.

Pro tip, GO BUFFET then order the free champagne at noon and get a glass of OJ to make your own 'larger' mimosa!

This place is amazing. The rooms are big and there are plenty of amenities around to keep you busy. I haven't hit the spa yet but I am very excited to. The only problem I came across was that if your room is on the west side of the building, you will hear the noise from traffic on the highway. However if you're used to normal city noise at night it shouldn't be a problem at all. I am a very light sleeper and I still slept very well.

Very nice experience overall. We started off our 13th wedding anniversary with a couples massage at Spa Elan (We purchased an overnight spa package). As a 23 year veteran Chiropractor and someone who receives regular massages, the massage was average - I guess what I would have more or less expected from a spa. She never even flipped me over on my back to properly address the neck musculature. My wife actually complained of pain after the massage that she didn't have prior. As I tell my patients, soreness post treatment is normal but pain is not.

We then went to the hotel bar for some light fare and a couple cocktails prior to going shopping at the Eastview Mall. My wife had 2 French Martinis - which she said were fantastic, and I had a couple Guiness with a glass of Wild Turkey bourbon. For food we had the soft pretzel (very salty) with dipping sauces and the crab cakes. Although the pretzel was okay, the crab cakes were delicious and I highly recommend them. The bartender appeared experienced and was friendly.

Our next stop after shopping was the hotel restaurant, Horizons. The hostess was very pleasant and wished us a happy anniversary without us even prompting that it was our anniversary. We were greeted by our waiter Marco with 2 glasses of champagne and a happy anniversary from him as well. We ordered a bottle of Reisling (that was warm/not chilled) and we both ordered the lobster bisque and it was very good. I had the scallops - they were good but not seared properly. My wife had the Domineco steak and it was very good. For desert we shared the crem brulee and it was good. They accidentally charged us for the complimentary champagne but it was removed. Marco, although a very nice waiter, was quite absent throughout most of the dinner service. We actually had to have s different waiter take our picture because we got tired of waiting for Marco to show up.

The room. Oh boy. Now, the room itself was beautiful however they must have skimped on the insulation. We were room 634 and the couple in the room next to us were very amorous and they mind as well as been having sex (all night) right on the floor next to us. It was the weirdest thing, I have been in rooms at other hotels where you could hear muffled sounds of couples having sex/talking but this was like a speaker right above our heads - so bizarre. Yes, we literally heard every single detail and noise in what appeared to be HD surround sound. Avoid this room! With this spa package it included 2 free personal pizzas in the room - which were huge and great, but they charged us for them. After speaking with the front desk the charge was removed. They also had a bottle of champagne delivered because we mistakenly looked at the wrong package and thought that it was included - so, that was nice of them.

In the morning we headed back to Horizons restaurant for the breakfast buffet (breakfast was included for only one person in this couples package which I thought was kind of odd). The offerings were very basic as it only included 6 or 7 heated items along with cold goods such as pastries and cereal. The quality was good, just not much variety.

All in all we had a very nice time and would certainly consider returning in the future. Just not Room 634, lol.

Advertised features and ammenities not available at all times. Spa services I was interested in were not available, pool area was closed off for an event, and remained closed off after event. Not even coffee available in lobby area after 10:30 am.

The staff was awful, the guy at the front desk made us wait 1 hour just to get the rooms. I don t know why I expected to have a microwave in a high class hotel, most motels have them, so why should the Woodcliff. My family got kicked out of the pool for playing ball too loudly . The best part? They provided the ball. Their reasoning wasn t awful, just that we were disrupting other families. Too bad there weren t any one else in the pool. And I m sorry, 12 bucks for a single bagel with cream cheese is just outrageous.

I stayed here last night for a Bachelorette party and was very unimpressed, I would not come back. The checking in process was terrible, we were not told the room we thought we were getting was unavailable d/t maintence on all of the 2 queen bed rooms, until already checked in. I don't understand how this is a four star hotel. The price was outrageous and there were four of us staying in a room with one king bed paid 325$ I've stayed in better hotels for 60$ a night. One of our friend just didn't spend the night, there really wasn't the room for her to stay. We were told there was a pull out couch which turned out to be a twin bed with no blankets or sheets in the room and they said they could bring a cot up which we never recieved. When going down to ask for sheets and blankets we were less than greeted kindly. The mannerisms of the front desk staff were unacceptable and prissy.

The hotel was amazing from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. The valet service , front desk staff , and housekeeping all did a very excellent job. This will definitely be the place that we stay whenever we are in Rochester

Service was pretty good and would rate a 4.0. The food is rated a 1 but should be lower. Haven't been there is a year. Started with a plain bland chicken and bean soup, nothing more can be said - no beans. Ceaser salad was ok and robust in flave - that was good. I had the sirlion steak and she had the salmon. Mine was overcooked , should have been medium well and came out well. It was tough and chewy, potatoes were ok as was the Brussels sprouts. Her salmon was ok, pretty hard to ruin salmon unless it is over/under cooked. Overall, the meal was bland, expensive , over $100 with no drinks. Certainly underperformed and did not even come close to expectations. Better steaks are at Outback , the chain restaurant.

They are top notch! There food is good but the service will bring me back. This is class. It was quite the experience. They had the band sing happy birthday to me. Every time,my husband or I left the table, they folded our cloth napkin. I can not say enough. It is pricey. But there is a view. A fireplace, band, just all around elegance! It is hidden and it is a hotel. Get out your best dressed items and expect to be Wowed. I recommend a visit

There was a wedding happening while me and my wife stayed there and there were loud drunk people in the lobby WOOOOOING til about 2am. I get there was a wedding but man people have no consideration for others. Don't stay on the second floor here. The second level overlooks the lobby so noise is an issue if there is a party happening below.

We went for dinner after recommending it to our group having had a wonderful experience on a previous visit. Everything was good this time except it took a long time to get our food. They had come over and without us mentioning it began to apologize for the wait, saying it was very busy. That struck us as odd however as the place was not even half full in the dining area. The food was great however and the rest of the service was fine.

Unfortunately they didn t properly book her appointment and she had to leave ! They offered another day , we took a refund instead . Id never consider going back . I felt terrible that I left her there and they ruined our plans . Oh and its expensive

My husband and I just got married at the Woodcliff...

My husband and I just got married at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa. Elissa Uhl was our wedding coordinator at the Woodcliff and she made our wedding as perfect as it gets. Our wedding was exactly what we envisioned and we couldn't be happier. Elissa was very responsive, and on the ball with everything that needed to be done (all throughout the process of planning and the days leading up to the wedding). The venue was beautiful, the food and cake were outstanding, and the staff was very helpful with everything we needed. Our family and friends are still talking about how great our wedding was and how awesome the food was. We stayed in the Ontario Suite and it was spectacular!!! The views from our room were breathtaking and the suite was the perfect room for me as the bride to get ready in on my big day with my girlfriends. The spa was amazing and the girls really did an amazing job with my makeup, hair, and nails as well as my bridesmaides. The Woodcliff was really the whole package for me and my husband and we look forward to going back and celebrating our anniversaries in the future.

I am on the 3rd night of a three night stay. I can't wait to leave. I saw all the wonderful reviews and we must have come on a bad week. Missed cleaning our room 2x. The only reason they finally got to it was because I had to ask. ONE trash can in the entire room, ONE. A tint one in the bathroom. We needed some soap and cups that they didn't have in the room upon check in. Called to bring what was needed. "We can't bring them to you, you can come get them" How accommodating...NOT! The staff was nice enough, but the service is far less than par for such a place. I've had better service in years past at Super 8. Very disappointed.

My stay here was HORRIBLE. I will never return. The rooms were disgusting, the bathroom had some sort of blood and puke mixture on the floor still the coffee pot was dirty the Jacuzzi was dirty the windows had cobwebs I wouldn't pay more than 70$ and it was 170 a night. The bottom of the showers were disgusting the ammentities they claimed to have were not available the hallways were cluttered with sheetrock I almost stepped on glass. It was HORRIBLE

The Easter brunch buffet was incredible! Quality food (let's not talk about the blintzes!) And friendly service for our large group. Definitely pricey and a bit difficult to indulge knowing so many around the world go without and our large group could have paid to feed a small village in Guatemala for a week...

Staff is polite, responsive and very helpful overall. The facility is just beautiful. In fact this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It is well maintain, the exterior and views are just wonderful, the fitness facility is up to date and has plenty machines. It was a very pleasant and comfortable stay for me. In terms of pricing, I paid ~$100 per night with taxes, discounted based on bundled deal with flight and rental car, which for me is not at all expensive, especially given my experience.
