Had a massage, dinner and overnight stay for 25th wedding anniversary. Loved it!
Had an awesome time. Was there for a corporate event. The dining area was elegant. The food and drinks were very delicious. Would come back.
Terrible experience. Called for a room, got a price, called back with credit card number five minutes later and the price was fifty dollars more. Bait and switch
Lovely food. Very good staff. Realistically priced. I'll be back.
My wife and I came for a marriage retreat and were very satisfied. We loved the hotel, very upscale. The conference space was comfortable, and the food was awesome. We had traditional conference food and loved the white balsamic vinegrette, and the potato salad. I couldn't stop going back. The service was professional as well. I'm very happy that this place is so close and would definitely plan a romantic getaway here.
Restaurant food was amazing and their resort experience is beautiful!
Our kids (and us!) loved the pool. It is indoor/outdoor, which was nice since the we got occasional rain. Our room was nice, and the view (6th floor) was gorgeous.
Lobby had pretty extensive water damage. Staff was great, food was great.
We went to hear the band during happy hour. The pizza was delicious. We didn't stay at the hotel, though.
It was our first time at Woodcliff, we had massages, pedicures, and lunch. We will be back, despite the slight scheduling misshap.
Very clean, friendly staff, drinks are amazing, wings were great, and the turkey club was big enough to share and was delicious
Poppy Champlain is a touring comedian, and a client of ours who recently stayed here at this property while performing nearby. The stay was perfect! The room was excellent, clean and quiet, and the staff was very accommodating. There is a fitness center onsite which was very nice and the restaurant was a great place to get dinner before the gig. Thank you for taking such great care of our clients!
Good get away !! Rooms are nice the shower was great also !! Starbucks in the lobby!! Restaurant onsite and spa also . Trying both Valentine's Day weekend . Will update then !!
My room is beautiful. The staff has been incredibly kind and sincere. I m very impressed by the service here and would recommend anyone to come here for an event or to stay. Spa Elan service was top notch. This was the perfect pamper myself night away I was looking for. Thank you Woodcliff!
It was a beautiful venue for my friends wedding. The staff was amazing and friendly. I wish I could have stayed there. I definitely will sometime in the future
Very poor experience. Food was terrible and service was worse.
The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are so comfortable.
The hotel lobby and amenity spaces are beautiful and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was also top notch!
I recently stayed in one of their jacuzzi suites for my Birthday. I was really excited, when we entered everything looked amazing. Unfortunately when we filled up the Jacuzzi and started the jets one of the nozzles squirted water everywhere and could not turn the jets on. When we went to sleep we constantly heard a roaring sound and thought it was the refrigerator but it wasn't. The noise grew louder if you went into the bathroom which made us think it was there duct system. Ugh.... all night long, it sounded like a train was passing by. We finally awoke and were ready to start our morning with a cup of coffee but the coffee maker didn t work. They did send up coffee with complimentary berries and whip cream. We ended up getting a discount for the room due to the Jacuzzi not working. I just figured it was a high end hotel & spa that everything would be in working order and for the price. It should have been.
Our regular place to stay when we come up for SJFC football games. We have tried other places in the area and always come back. Service, aside from one stay, has been great.
Spent a week here while caring for my father after surgery. The rooms are beautiful the staff was very kind and always accommodating. My rental did get hit while in the parking lot and I was a little frustrated with that that I didn't get help for that, however what can you do about stuff like that. It's just a beautiful location
Very clean hotel with great stuff. Pools are big enough for relaxing.
Location is nice, room is nice, and services there are excellent.
Went for brunch on a Sunday and absolutely loved it! Great food selection, the coffee was great, and the view is spectacular.
I've been to a few of the local brunches, but I think this one was one of the best.
Being a 4 star hotel, I feel this rating is much higher than it should be. The front desk service was less than up to par. Kindness was not a priority. Our room, a one bedroom suite, with a balcony was far from a 4 star rating. The lightning was atrocious, the kitchenette was subpar with no sink. Even though the bathroom was on the opposite wall, making it easy to have a sink. There were no plates, silverware, or anything else you may need when renting a room of this size. As far as the balcony, the door to access the balcony was almost impossible to open and close. At one point we were stuck outside because we could not open the sliding door to get back in. Our wake up call was the groundskeepers using blowers, weed whackers and other loud tools at 8am outside of our room. Our room service breakfast, which we had to request a menu for, was not only late, but lacked half of our order. I waited an extra 30 minutes for my meal while my host ate her breakfast. When I requested a late checkout, as we would be in the spa with our part of 4, the desk hostess told us to call in the morning to be sure it would be ok. When I called she immediately said not possible as our room was rented that day. When I asked for a late checkout for the second room we had rented, that was also not possible. We asked for a one hour extension. Really? If not for the most AMAZING massage by a young man in the spa, I would have given a lesser review. I do not recommend this hotel if you are going for a 4 star spa. I am amazed it even has this rating.
The suite was magnificent and was large enough to hold a party for 15 people. Bed, bath, and shower upstairs; a nice kitchen area, and a living area were on the first floor. The beds could not have been more comfortable.
Delicious and wonderfuly presented fancy food at the Sunday brunch buffet. Fancy leather chairs surrounded our solidly built table. Quality experience all around.
Good service and food. Spa was great. Hotel and rooms need some attention. We will definitely be back.
Clean hotel and great views. Slow WiFi. Loud party filled hotel with music. No creamer in room with coffee machine. Pool over clorinated both kids with sore eyes after 15 mins.
Good food, great bar staff and most nights very good music!
Beautiful place to celebrate life, love and the pursuit of happiness with friends and family!
Outdated and not worth it. Also, they wouldn t refund me 45 minutes after I accidentally booked the hotel. Lots of other places in town to stay.
Beautiful hotel, great staff and awesome spa. They also have an indoor/outdoor pool and whirlpool along with one of the most well equipped hotel gyms I've ever seen.
Update: They did let me cancel my second night stay with 0 charge, which I very much appreciated. Service here is decent. Facilities remain an overpriced disappointment.
My wife and I got married at Woodcliff back in 2014. Long post short, the food is phenomenal. Spa and extra services are extraordinary. Their wedding planner was organized and communicative. My wife and I return annually for our anniversary and eat the brunch. Overall, fantastic.
the food was good I was happy with the staff being able to help me with my lactose intolerance.
Crystal is amazing, so is everyone else honestly. If you have half a personality, you will fit right in this wonderful, upscale place! Best food and entertainment around.
Dinner prices are so expensive we had to order from the bar menu. Which was good, although our friends got burnt pizza the first time, and then got a second one after.
The woodcliff team makes this Hotel an amazing experience and the perfect retreat space from the work and stress of day to day life! We felt welcome and awesomely treated, we would efinetely go back.
Beautiful location. The views were amazing. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Conveniently located off of I 490, it's close enough to town but far enough away from the hustle. Beatiful grounds, and the staff is wonderful! Rooms are comfortable, and have everything you might need!
I went to get a gift certificate for the spa. The service was wonderful and the employees were all so friendly and helpful!
Great place. Love the spa. When i was there i feel like i was in heaven
The location is lovey and the staff are typically superb. Don t expect magic from the restaurant. Overpriced with underwhelming food. Live music often with good drinks. But the food... it s okay with a 4 Star price.
Seemed nice enough. Could use more road signs for directions to the place.
Nice hotel and friendly people. The food isn't that great.
Attended an event. Dinner was very good and the staff were fantastic.
Beautiful hotel, had to change rooms due due to bathroom appliances not working. Rooms are lovely and spacious but dimly lit. Overall great experience and friendly staff.
I booked my 4 day stay at Woodcliff through a third party, via Google. When I called to confirm my room I was told that I had been given one of the handicap rooms. I asked if I could be switched to a standard room and was told no. When I arrived at the hotel I inquired again. The 20 something at the front desk laughed and said "yeah, that's where we dump reservations booked via a third party, the handicap room." I quickly discovered why this is the case. The room is more outdated, quite dirty, and probably seldom used. In fact we had to go down ask them to clean the bathroom. So, the message to me was "yes, you can have a room at a discounted rate but it will be a room we assign and it won't be a standard room (i.e. we can make more money on the other rooms) and we don't really care if you come back again." A very shady way of conducting business. We won't be back. Headed to Expedia to leave the same review. Tried twitter, but no engagement since 2013. Unbelievable.
I was attending a surprise party that was in the Cayuga conference room. The lunch was delicious, and good sized portions. The drink selection was nice with verious sodas, wines, and beers. The staff was very kind, professional, and happy. The hotel is beautiful.vthe only inconvenience was that our party had about 40 people, and the room was too small for all the guests, and there was no elbow room while eating. But the atmosphere was nice, and over all it was a wonderful experience.
We attended a private event in one of rooms. The service was wonderful. The staff was warm and friendly.
Nice hotel spacious rooms. Soft beds. Delicious pizza and nice bar.
Just got home after spending a night here with my boyfriend. We did the couple's spa package and our experience was better than we could have ever imagined! EVERYBODY was willing and more than happy to help you with anything! Whatever you needed they had it! You could ask the hotel for anything! The spa was so comfortable and relaxing, after the massage we felt so good! They were so flexible with us as my bf has never been to a spa and he was enjoying his wine before we went down and the masseuse let him drink during it and would actually hand him his drink, he also doesn't do well with heat so they turned the temp down in the room and avoided hot towels on him just so he was more comfortable and enjoyed his massage. Needless to say it was a perfect getaway and I can't wait to go back there!!!
The best breakfast buffet in monroe county hands down and u don't have to stay at the hotel to eat there
The Woodcliff is one of the best venues in Rochester to host a wedding. Fantastic food, a great view, friendly and organized staff and a service level that rivals the best private clubs in Rochester. As a wedding planner, a venue has to be perfect and I feel confident every time I recommend The Woodcliff for a wedding or other type of event that everything will be flawless. One of my favorite places in Rochester and close to everything. The minute you enter the hotel, you can sense that you are somewhere special .
I had an excellent experience staying at Woodcliff Hotel and Spa. They have very professional staff and the room was very clean. I also loved the food. Couldn't go wrong. I can't wait to come back.
Great hotel areas of it looking alittle dated but otherwise very welcoming and fabulous views. Definitely would stay here again
Great stay...just wish they were more accommodating with early/late check out
Who likes golf - a great choice. The room price per night is for about 110 USD. Thanks to me they already have in the catalog of countries ...
Honestly? I had a real problem passing through a wet water area with hotel guests swimming in the pool and waddling in the whirlpool..... in WEDDING ATTIRE trying to get to its terrace. It's unbelievable that there is not another entrance. A serious accident is waiting to happen in that area. I also resent paying for a SUPPOSED TALL "HARVEY WALLBANGER" and it being served to me in a tequila shot glass. I even had to instruct the bartender how to make it as he indicated he forgot. He packed it with ice when I asked for very little ice leaving me half a Harvey Wallbanger when after I took all the ice out. That pissed me off. At Woodcliff Hotel liquor prices hopefully you'll understand why I'm ticked. But a wedding was happpening and I wasn't about to make a scene. Not sure Woodcliff would be my 1st choice for any reservation.
Excellent hotel. Location a disadvantage because one must drive to any shopping or sightseeing
A bit old but very clean with good amenities and service.
Room was huge and comfortable. Food was amazing at the restaurant. Pool was perfect. I hung out at the pool and deck. Ordered drinks and just chilled
All I can say is, wow. Top notch, pleasant staff, clean, attentive. Just, wow
