Love the atmosphere and feel of the place, but the service is slow and generally forgetful. I asked what the pastries for the day we're and the waiter sent me in to look for my self. Gotta love another farm to table place but when has it become a good idea to make your guests feel like they barely deserve to be a customer?

Super good food, just extremely expensive and small portions. $17 for the pictured meal. Again, super good! 10/10 food, will come back , but probably just on special occasions.
My only gripe is how crowded it is; seemingly any time, any day. Otherwise; tasty and creative menu, prepared well, pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Also hits all the requisite locally sourced, sustainable, and food-sensitive beats.
The food was really good. Quite pricy compared to the food amount and quality. Reason for losing two stars is that The server forgot my coffee, knocked my knife of the table but never brought me either one of them.
I'm completely behind the farm to table concept, so I wish I liked this place, but the menu is just...boring. There's a huge opportunity to combine their F to T veggies and meats in interesting ways, but they don't. I get why it's on the pricey side (quality, local food), I just wish I could get excited about their menu.
First time at Wise Acres. What a great time. Set in what looks like a former gas station this wonderfully Minneapolis eatery will give you the full experience. Incredible food, quirky environment, great service with lots of Minnesota nice!
My wife and I love this place. We just moved back to Minneapolis and had to get breakfast here. The food was delicious and the coffee is always amazing. However, it is quite a pricey place for breakfast.
Service was very slow and the food was not hot when it arrived. The food tasted pretty good but it probably would have been much better hot. They weren't very busy when we were there so it was disappointing.
We absolutely loved all the food we ordered: get the bacon!! It's the best! We had the beets, the fries and THE BACON as appetizers, a salad, a pulled pork sandwich and steak as our main. Everything was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend this place. Thanks to the stranger that told us to try it, best suggestion!
The food was fresh and good though a bit pricey. Service was a slightly lacking. It took nearly and hour and a half start to finish, which felt long for this type of restaurant.
A fine version of a farm to table restaurant. The food was good, but we have had better for the prices. I bet their breakfast is killer because the bacon on my wife's burger was amazing. We'll check it out again for brekkie.
I want to eat their Shades of Summer salad ALL THE TIME. It comes with pickled eggs, a bacon slab, and gobs of fresh veg. I love to lunch here with my mom, and I usually have a little kid with me too. The staff is very accommodating. Their outdoor seating is particularly lovely. The gardening details make me so happy. Love to see all that beauty!
The coffee was strong. Ordered a burger and the wife had hash. Burger was ok fries were greasy. My wife's hash, ham was over cooked and dry, vegetables were under cooked minus a few pototatos and the scrambled eggs with herbs were bland.
I've been going weekly to pick up local goods - eggs, cheeses, bacon and a number of seasonal vegetables. If you haven't been, you should definitely try it out!
I wasn't a big fan of this place at all..the food was very High priced and it's Not enough space to move around. .we had to stand at the door to wait on a table. .
$18 hamburger too small for our 10 year old, wasn't cooked to medium as we requested. Bacon too thick of a slab and mostly fat. Pea too small salad. Way too much money for just ok food and a tiny pour for 8.50 house wine. Never again!.
All natural and fresh food locally sourced from their farm. Food is very high quality and changes frequently. Quite expensive but worth it for the quality of food.
Perfect neighborhood gem for both brunch and wine/dine. Its cozy so seats and parking can be limited. Good food/beverage selection, farm-fresh message and artsy personality.
Came here on a random whim of what was close by and open for breakfast. Place is a bit tiny but friendly and inviting. The bar/vine decor was interesting. They even sell bacon, eggs and butter ( I believe that was correct, among many other things to take home with you after you eat). Their food comes from their own local garden, they even have a meter that shows the percentage of today's food grown locally. Food was great and filling, only thing would be the root veg needed to be cooked a little longer, hard crunch still.
The best restaurant in Minneapolis, hands down! The food is locally grown, and you can truly taste the difference. I moved away from Minneapolis but have to go back every time I m in town for The hash, the bacon, and the French toast. The chefs clearly take their time when making the menus, and there are some really fun flavor combinations in their dishes. You will pay more than an average restaurant that gets their food frozen from Sysco, but you get what you pay for-and feel good about supporting LOCAL and keeping your dollar in the community!
A fun old gas station turned into a farm-to-table restaurant that serves fun and funky fare. Breakfast was anything but normal but delicious. Not cheap by any means but a great place to go for a special meal. Recommended.
The best part of eating at Wise Acre is their food is all homegrown at their local farm, Tangletown. Everything is delicious, packed with flavor, and fresh. Prices are a bit higher, as you re paying for the freshness of the food.
Yep, another farm-to-fork place that makes me glad I live here. You may have to struggle slightly to get some parking during their busy times, but you'll be rewarded by their great food and service.
High quality food! High vibe environment! And the best bacon!! We don't eat out much but when we do Wise Acre is our number one pick. Absolutely love this place.
The food was spectacular, and in a relaxed setting, which is more our style. The "share" plates were larger than expected, so after the two of us finished two of them, we could have gone without the main dishes and straight to dessert--having said that, the main dish was also great, but I can't speak to the desserts.
There are so many reasons to come back, but the custard and gluten-free/vegan cookies are so good they should be illegal! The service was great and the meal excellent. We love sitting outside but even sitting inside when the garage doors are open is a fun experience. Tangletown Gardens next door is a must-see as well. We'll be back!
Cinnamon donut muffin great and I don't even like cake donuts. And the CSA Zhash was wonderful and the mint green tea was great. My husband chili was great and their corn bread was very buttery!
As someone who is gluten free and mostly dairy free, eating out is challenge. This place was amazing! Service was friendly and beyond helpful. Food was all Divine. It warmed my soul, succulent pork, beautiful greens, perfect eggs. And 3 choices of gluten free sweets. Eat here. Eat here often.
Great weekend brunch. Delicious food, Five Watt coffee, neat setting. Highly recommend the French toast. Server a little scatterbrained but overall a good experience.
The greens they offer as a side are very tasty. I also like that they offered an egg white omelette as the omelette of the day. The bacon here comes thick cut, and very tasty. In the summer/spring there is a cozy outdoor seating that's dog friendly. Expect it to be busy, it's a local favorite spot.
Bacon, Bacon, Bacon! This is a favorite farm to table place in Minneapolis. Rarely have we encountered something that wasn't spectacular. The menu is always changing based on what is growing. Just an FYI, this is not a cheap place so be prepared. I think its worth it.
This place is a hidden gem. The food is top notch. You get what you pay for. It s a true farm to table spot. Seasonal cauliflower dish is fantastic. Save room for the brownie and earl grey ice cream!
Food was okay. Nothing to write mom about, but I just nibbled on fries and a couple apps...so no great variety or comprehensive tasting experience to draw from. Ambiance was quaint with lots of live plants, and service was very friendly! There were a few discrepancies between what the menu and server said, but I didn't care to try and figure out which one was correct.
The atmosphere is cute. Lots of greenery and hip decor but the food... well, I don't have many good things to say about that. The menu is very limited, which is okay. I ordered a salad that was supposed to have chicken and it was laughable how much chicken was on my plate. Maybe two TINY slices? The waitress never checked up on us after we received our meal so I had to walk over to the counter and ask for help. The waitress ended up coming over with more chicken, over 20 minutes later. The salad was bland and definitely not worth $14. Sadly, I will not be returning.
Visited with my family for brunch. The restaurant was busy and we were seated at a hastily re-arranged table with little room. The service was a bit slow but the food was delicious.
We first came to Wise Acre on a road trip 2 years ago and it was amazing! We ate here for dinner and breakfast it was so good. We love it so much I flew my wife up to Minneapolis from LA for a surprise birthday dinner yesterday but I couldn't have been more disappointed with the food. My wife only eats meat when she knows it came from a good farm so we were very excited about her getting to have a good steak, and I love a good pork chop, but both our dishes were rather dry, tough, lacking in taste and kind of cold. The pork wasn't cooked all the way through and seemed like it had been reheated quickly before being brought out. My wife's Ribeye, which she was recommended to have medium rare, was very tough and not the buttery melt in your mouth meal you expect from medium rare. We will go back for brunch whilst we're here, just to give it another chance, but so far our memories of Wise Acre are being tarnished by reality :(
Perhaps I ordered the wrong entree, but--boy, I was disappointed! A $17 salad with greens I could hardly eat, a hard boiled egg, a piece of broccoli (one), and a slice of bacon. I was hungry within the hour.
My sister lives by Wise Acre so we go there a lot, it's always been wonderful! Great food and great service. Yesterday I had their special which was lasagna it was super good! I recommend this place especially in the summer time when you can sit outside .
Had the CSA Hash with capuccino. Eggs were light, fluffy, in good quantity. Cottage ham was reasonably flavorful, slightly too dry for my taste, but still a positive contribution to the meal. Potatoes, carrots, and green garnish were appreciated. Turnips.. not so much - needed a bit more cooking. Underwhelmed by the service.
We came here for drinks on a Monday evening and were seated outside right away. Beautiful patio! The drinks were reasonably priced and there was a nice variety of cocktails which is unique for a restaurant with only a beer and wine license. We are excited to come back and try the food - the burger and fries at the table next to us smelled amazing.
We had a work event here and they were so wonderful to work with. Creative in their menu choices and the pride they take carries over in their. Absolutely delicious
This place is one of the best restaurants I've eatin at in a while. Farm to fresh Ingredients make the perfect portion of carb/protein/veggie. The presentation was colorful and delightful. Staff was friendly and the place had a great relaxed grounded atmosphere. If I lived around here I would be here all the time. If you live around here you should just eat all your meals here for now on. Can't say enough wonderful things about this charming find.
Great food. Eggs and bacon are out of this world. Nice atmosphere as well but gets busy (which speaks for the place again). Not cheap but money well spent.
Beet hummus was recommended by the server and we tried it. I didn't even know I liked beets... But this dip was just amazing. Couldn't get enough. Will be back.
