This place is so much more than a repair shop. It should be described as an auto care center. We brought our company van to Winter Auto Repair expecting the worst news and at least a full day of labor as we had been told by another repair shop. There is no better surprise than to find out, it needed a battery, and only two hours of labor. The entire experience was a pleasure from the friendliest reception with the warmest welcome to a mechanic who not only diagnoses your vehicle but actually talks to you about it. I found it so valuable that the recommendations were explained to me in a very clear and simple manner. They told me what I needed, and what I "could" use and gave options for other items. There was no sales pressure, and no fear factor that other repair centers and dealerships use.
I was so impressed with their work and customer care, that I recently returned with my personal Jeep to assess a horrifying noise coming from the front end. It sounded like metal hitting metal at every turn. I was worried about what that was going to cost. Turns out it was a bushing. A $2.00 part and minimal labor.

Some guy wrote a review about his truck being with stuck with this repair shop for over a month and nothing was done to it. Now after having a brush with Mr Winter I'm left speechless at the greed and what lengths he'll go to take your money. Never again ! Plus horrible woman at the front desk. Never again !

I recently went for a brake job which cost me almost $2000. A week later the brake light came on and seemed like the brake fluid deposit was low. The owner told me that something else was going on and it had nothing to do with the brake job. What a coincidence that after the brake job that light came on and started wasting the fluid and never did it before. The owner didn t even bother in checking what was the problem because according to him, it was something else. Instead, he was pointing to other problems. How disappointing.

Thankful! We brought our Ram ProMaster to Winter Auto repair. It felt like the transmission was slipping or worse. It would rev then jolt forward. At a stop light it felt like it would stall out and was shaking. The van is used for business and they are run hard by a few drivers. I feared the worst. So thankful for winter auto! It needed a tune up, an oil change and they recommended a few simple services for next visit. IT DRIVES LIKE NEW. My car was unused for 5 months Due to covid. Recently I tried to start it with no success and jumping it also failed. AAA came out to tell me that I qualified for a free battery but it would first need to be towed to their service center. They also told me there may be Electrical issues as its likely an animal got under the hood and that Alternators on accords only last 4-5 years and that it may need to be replaced.
I declined and had my car taken by flat bed to Winter auto. I am a repeat customer and appreciate the consistent and professional manner in which my vehicles are diagnosed and repaired. Turns out I just needed a battery. Alternator checked out fine and no electrical issues. I am thankful for Winter Auto. I cant even imagine what I would have had to go through for a free AAA battery.

Last week as I was driving on the highway, I all of a sudden heard a very loud noise which sounded as if it was coming from my tires. The noise kept getting louder as I accelerated. I was on my way to PA and did not want to drive the car if there was an issue. I stopped at 2 shops in Allentown and both refused to help me. I searched my gps and found another place close by. I was about to pass Winter s and go to the other repair place but I m so glad I found Winter s. I spoke to the receptionist who was super friendly and she said she only had one mechanic but would ask him if he could check out the noise.
The mechanic who I later learned was the owner, came out immediately and asked for my keys. He got in the drivers seat and we went for a ride. To my surprise, Chris said that the noise was coming from the sunroof. A simple touch of the sunroof control button settled the problem. I also had tape that was flapping that needed to be removed and Chris helped remove it.
I asked Chris how much I owed him he told me not one dime. I paid with a hug and lots of gratitude for him simply doing what the other shops refused to do. To take a moment to help someone costs us nothing. Chris proved to me that day that there are still wonderful and caring people in this world!!!!!! Yes, the noise I was hearing was nothing but a flapping piece of tape and a sunroof that needed to be closed properly but it was worth the ride with Chris!

I've been taking all my business and family cars to Winter Auto Repair ever since I realized the horrible service and exorbitant prices I was being charged by the OEM dealerships where I purchased the cars. Now, I actually enjoy taking my car over to Chris and Lisa, since they finish the work on time, help me prevent future problems, and I actually feel that I'm paying a fair price.
I ve been a customer of Winter Auto Repair for several years. I called them after another mechanic had worked on my 2003 Dakota several times for the same issue that was not getting resolved. I called Winter Auto Repair and explained my situation that was becoming an urgent issue because my inspection was coming due and it wouldn t pass without correcting the issue. Chris and another mechanic in his shop spent a few days diagnosing the issue. They made several calls to Dodge and worked with them to rule out an ECM issue. After dropping the fuel tank to trace out the emissions system, they found that the other establishment had crossed two hoses that was causing the check engine issue. Without Chris time, attention to detail and willingness to fix it right the first time, I would have been forced to purchase another vehicle if my truck wouldn t be able to pass inspection anymore. Since that time, both our vehicles go to Winter Auto Repair for any issue that comes up. I would recommend everyone local to the shop do the same!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. To be honest im overwhelmed with gratitude for this place!!!! I have ten vehicles total between work and personal vehicles so as you can imagine my yearly maintenance bills are high!! I started using this shop last year, from then til now ( going over my finances ) i have spent 5k less in that time than i have for the last 6 years else where per year. Really i accredit that to how honest this shop really is! Aside from how reasonable they are financially and honest, they bend over backwards to make sure their customer service is top notch ( unheard of in the mechanic market) ! They always seem to have one of my vehicles for one reason or the next and most of the time its very difficult for me alone to transport! SO GET THIS the owner of the shop chris himself helps me picking up and dropping off at times when im in need! I mean anyone who is not using this shop is tremendously missing out on the best !!!!!! I needed the front struts changed on my Jeep truck and I found this shop on the KYB Americas web-site. Being a car enthusiast, I always make sure that the job is done right on my car. The lady on the phone was very rude from the start and refused to answer a couple of simplest questions about the warranty on KYB parts, price of the struts I need, etc. In a very rude form she was talking over me and asking me to make an appointment. When I asked to speak to her manager or the owner of the shop, she declared she is the manager and continued asking me if I want to make an appointment talking over my attempts to ask my questions. Very rude and unprofessional people! I suggest you spend your money somewhere else if you care about your car.

My daughter was having trouble with her tires losing air and the dealership said they plugged the tire and they were okay. The tires were not very worn looking, but she was still having trouble with them losing air.
She brought the vehicle to Winter Auto to have an oil change and while it was on the lift Chris came out and asked her if she was having trouble with her tires. She replied yes and then he showed her that the tires actually had dry rot and they needed to be replaced.
We were very happy that he let us know this and replaced the tires through him since the dealership's repair department did not see this. She was amazed at how much better the vehicle performs with the new tires. As a mom, I also feel much better knowing her car is safer with new tires.
