Went just for a coffee, but fell in love with a place.
it was fab was there for lunch the food was delicious
Amazing place. A real gem and the best place I've been in Ireland for a romantic getaway. Five star service and food. Rooms all overlook the lake, as does the hot tub. I'll be back here!
Fabulous one night stay at Wineport Lodge. ...wish we could have stayed longer. ..had lunch on arrival on a stunning day. We shared a seafood platter. Crab salad, prawns, salmon and scallops with their beautiful brown bread others had goats cheese salad and a super salad with chicken. Fresh and beautifully presented. We sat out on the deck looking over the lake. Our rooms were stunning with balconies. Dinner that night was lovely GF options on almost everything. Lamb shank was to die for again really good food. Breakfast next morning was a very lazy affair. Small buffet of cereals meats cheese fruit pastries etc., them warm breakfast served at your table. There was no rush at all. ...the staff are amazing and friendly and thank you Norma for all the little extra touches that made a very happy husband have a great birthday.
Fantastic stay. Staff very friendly and service was amazing
Beautiful location, exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows, friendly helpful staff and breakfast eaten out on the deck overlooking the loch was delicious.
From the second we arrived at the entrance, to when we left, it has been an amazing, relaxing, fabulous experience, highly recommend it, brilliant staff in all areas, fab food, an unforgettable setting, even in December, will definitely be back soon!!
Awesome
Lovely wine accompanied by delicious food. Lots of peaceful areas to sit, read & enjoy the splendid scenery
Spectacular Hotel, very enjoyable stay, top class. The restaurant alone is worth the trip, beautiful setting, scenery and somewhere to really relax.
Fabulous location and a gorgeous hotel, rooms are huge and beds super comfortable.. food was excellent also
Booked in for 1st anniversary on a stay and tray deal.
"Myself and my bride took an overnight stay. We had never stayed here before. From the entrance of the lodge it was a lovely atmosphere. The Christmas decorations are just amazing. The staff with whom we engaged with from check-in to check- out were courteous, helpful and very friendly. We opted for the supper instead of dinner which was absolutely delicious. Breakfast the next morning too was a very relaxed experience in the beautiful spacious dining room. As regards the Covid times we are in, the lodge was totally on top of this with sanitising stations throughout the hotel and wipes available in the bar at your individual table and in our room. All in all our entire experience was a fantastic one, very relaxing and we will definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the wonderful staff. Keep up your great work".
An absolutely first class hotel. Beautiful setting looking over Glaason lake. Ambiance was extremely relaxed, food was excellent and decor was very tasteful. Special mention to the staff and management who helped make our stay so pleasent and memorable. Will definitely be back, and would highly recommend.

Very nice place in a very nice setting. Quite possibly the most comfortable bed in a hotel I ve ever slept in.
Looking forward to returning someday soon...
We moored for the night and ate in the restaurant. Food was fab, staff were great, very enjoyable experience
Just been for afternoon tea. Amazing experience with fab food and beautiful view of the lake.
Expensive restaurant, but definitely worth it. Best steak I ever ate, tasty potatoes, superb dessert. Great views on Lough Ree
Rural tranquil environment ,easily accessible from motorway, good food
This restaurant is situated in a perfect spot next to the lake with beautiful views to it as it has a terrace beautifully decorated, from the chairs to the flowers on the table.
I came here on a lovely sunny day with very high expectations as it s a fancy restaurant, or that s what it seemed like.
We were given a menu and I couldn t find a main without meat or fish (I m a vegetarian) until I saw in the bottom for vegan and vegetarian options ask staff so I did and I was given a whole menu with very appetizing veggie options.
I had tomato popcorn as a starter.
Unfortunately they seemed like bad quality packed popcorn with a bit or tomato sauce on top, definitely not what I was expecting.
I thought I had just made a bad decision for my starter when my main arrived (after a 45min wait).
I had risotto as my main dish. At first it seemed like plain rice with some veggies, and I wasn t wrong. It wasn t a risotto, no creaminess, it was bland rice with peas, tiny pieces of courgette and parmesan, also it didn t have any cherry tomatoes when in the menu it said it did and I saw cherry tomatoes in multiple other dishes around me.
I was willing to have a great dessert to compensate the two earlier dishes. I had the dessert of the day: raspberry and white chocolate roulade. It was a base of meringue, a bit of whipped cream on top, a fine little tube of white chocolate, two raspberries, one blueberry and half of a strawberry. Pretty much sugar more than anything.
I have to say that the drinks were very good, the waiters kept bringing cold water to the table once a bottle was finished and I also had a Casanova, which was tasty and refreshing.
Lastly, a very important point to add due to the circumstances (Covid-19) is that none of the workers were wearing a face mask at any time. Not when receiving clients, not when talking to them, not when serving plates to the table, not outside or inside the restaurant. Not even the manager. Also the tables didn t have enough separation between them.
Got afternoon tea here with my wife. Food quality and presentation was poor. Was hoping to linger over the afternoon tea for the afternoon. Instead we were pretty much finished in a half hour. 60 in total - not worth it.
We had a fabulous experience. The setting is just wonderful. The staff could not do enough and the food was gorgeous.
It has a very nice view, the food is good and staff are nice.
This Hotel is absolutely amazing! Not just is the hotel itself and its surroundings breathtaking but i have never experienced customer service like this. We have been here twice now and each visit was beyond what we expected. The staff are all so nice and forthcoming and go out of their way to make you feel so welcome. If you want to treat yourself - this is it!
An idyllic escape. Beautifully situated. Tastefully decorated. Great staff. Amazing
Our room overlooked the peaceful Lough Ree as did the outdoor hot tub. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It was so good we bough a mid week special voucher for friends.
Brilliant food and staff
Very nice place.
Recommend for everyone
Beautiful setting very friendly staff highly recommended
Beautiful room overlooking the lough; very quiet and comfortable. The evening meal was not exceptional but the seafood sharing platter was very enjoyable. This is s lovely place and worth visiting.
Not very welcoming if you dock and don't realize it is a private dock. Definitely needs larger notification and all boat rental companies maps should have it noted.
Very disappointed with food all 6 people unhappy with good would never Go Back there. Then asked by the cashier for a tip.
Beautiful place, great food and fabulous views. 10/10
Great place for a relaxing break in peaceful surrounds
The Wineport in Glasson is a really good restaurant. A bit on expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Food is first class.
Wonderful location wonderful staff and wonderful food.
The rooms were great. The place is so relaxing. And the service there is perfect. Some dirty things likes knifes and lipstick on glasses.
The food was perfect we thought. The got tubs were an added bonus.
If ur looking for a stay to purely relax.. then this is the place! Sheer tranquillity!
Fantastic place, staff so friendly, looking forward to my next four days of our staycation!!
In spite of the very dramatic wet weather, the resort was very comfortable. My only complaint is with the frenetic service provided at meals. The staff are more obsessed with clearing your table of things than actually providing a relaxing dining experience. For example, instead of compulsively visiting our table to clear plates, just come by to offer more juice, tea or coffee! We'll be the judge of what we need cleared or not. We were interrupted no less than 4 times in a 5 minute period by 4 different staff asking about our dinner that arrived 2 minutes ago. That is a huge disruption to our relaxing and carrying own our conversation. Your maitre de was so obsessive compulsive about clearing our table that he paid no attention to his putting his elbow in my face. Enough!! Guests are there to relax and enjoy their private conversation, reading the paper and taking their time enjoying their meals. Guests are not there to be subjected to what you want to do, your staff exist to provide an experience to guests. Relax and stop being so obsessive-compulsive about clearing tables while guests are trying to relax and enjoy THEIR time together.
Nice place for lunch weather permitting. Can be one of the best hotels in Ireland if the weather is nice.Good views of the Shannon,Good hotel to visit during the summer and maybe during the winter.Parking can be poor when the hotel is busy.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere but service in restaurant a bit slow but it was a busy Sat night in fairness.
Superb setting for a relaxed lunch with warm friendly staff. Definitely coming for a mid week break
Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, food is lovely, overall staying here is a real treat
Can t wait to visit again and next time for overnight and delicious long lunch watching the scenic lake wildlife
Gorgeous Food. very professional staff. great setting
Fabulous hotel with amazing views of Lake. If you are looking for a quite night or two give this hotel call. Outdoor hot tubs with a bottle of wine or bubbly very romantic. Will be staying there again.
Beautiful hotel on the shores of Lough Ree, scenic views and friendly staff, paid a number of visits there and enjoyed all but the last due to feeling decidedly unwell having eaten in the restaurant, definately go again for a drink but wont be eating there again, once bitten , twice shy.
Rude staff would not give them business again. Very badly managed
Food too posh not enough selection but amazing relaxation outdoor Jacuzzi was brilliant staff were very helpful and friendly
A wonderful cozy place on the picturesque shore of the lake. Almost at the very water. Great food. Nice stuff. Great service. Will definitely be back there again.
Lovely hotel by the lake, great ambience, friendly staff, good food, but should present the French fries better.. staff need to be more thorough with the cleaning of the dining area....dust on the window boards.
Great location, stunning view over the lake in today's sunshine! Fish platter was good. Some staff a bit ordinary but owner was very friendly. I'm not keen on the interior restaurant decor but would definitely go back again for a visit. Priced on the higher side but coffee for 4 euro is a total rip off!!!
Beautiful and quiet. Scones fresh but no butter and jam? Coffee a bit on the tepid side. How come there are only a few places nationwide that can do good flat white coffees??? Wineport still a great getaway from it all location. Slainte
Fab 21st birthday celebration afternoon tea in the sunshine we were so well looked after by the staff. Highly recommend it
Served by an amazing waiter sorry didn't get his name Wineport very lucky to have him as a staff member
Stayed her recently for 2 nights, location and hotel itself was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a suite and for the price we payed we were very disappointed, room was very dated and have stayed in cheaper hotels were rooms are much nicer
Sensational! Norma, Liz & all the staff are so warm & friendly. Had a great laugh with all of them plus the food and drink are tops. Loved our stay and will deffo be back. Cheers gang!
Such a beautiful location, the food is delicious, the views on a summer evening are spectacular.
Spectacular views of the lakel, delicious food. All that and very comfortable. A lovely place to stay.
Absolutely loved it, the kindness of the manager who went out of his way to bring 2 drinks out to the front of the hotel was exceptional. I knew the place many years ago, I must say it s still as romantic and beautiful. As all good places very crowded on weekends, I will return soon
Super Relaxing Hotel, with excellent food,
efficient and very friendly staff. Shall be back.
Very over priced and over rated and staff no very attentive
Lovely food in a lovely setting. Service was excellent and the view of the lake made the atmosphere so much better. The burger was delicious and each of the five people there thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend for Sunday lunch.
Fantastic stay, lovely friendly staff, beautiful food and gorgeous setting
Calm and serene. Scones delicious, presentation excellant. Staff warm and welcoming. Views magnificent. Plenty of outdoor seating. Hope to get back soon. Thank you
