Cost 700 but paid 900 dollars for a one night 5th anniversary me and my wife. Decent hotel room, lots of noise; thin walls, bed not comfortable, spring only no topper. Good massage. Food was ok. Felt elegant but halibut was mushy, strip steak good, both overpriced.breakfast looked good but made me feel sick after. Nice ground ss. Spa was ok. 2 hot tub. Terrible "tranquility room" aka low talking room with music. Pool was a 5 min walk away. Next to traffic.
Bottom line is I was disappointed. I didn't tell my wife that bit I wouldn't go back. I was livid when I left that I paid so much for so little. Felt like I got robbed. But I didn't want to make a fuss and bring my wife down. Save your money.

Most of the staff was very friendly. However, there were members of the catering staff that were quite rude to my bandmembers. When the client says it is okay for us to participate in the buffett, you dont turn us away without verifying what you've been told.
While attending a wedding in Lodi, I stayed at the Wine & Roses Hotel for the weekend. It was a lovely experience. The rooms are clean, spacious, and attractive. The beds were extremely comfortable. I ate in the restaurant several times and the food was always excellent. The staff at the hotel, restaurant, and spa were friendly and very helpful. The grounds are spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to others.
The food were horrible , I dont mine if the portion were small if the food are excellent instead the food were horrible. Dont waste your money here if you're looking good food...
Have loved going to the spa - hair, nails and facials for years. Last year they stopped offering hair services. Was told tonight they are getting rid of all nail services. This was a safe, clean, peaceful place to go and now it is being dismantled. Very, very disappointed. Not sure why the director and owners are allowing this to happen and not supporting their employees and loyal customers.
Amazing landscaping absolutely amazing!!! You forget your in Lodi. Awesome Vineyard on the side very small one each row is a different grape labeled for the wine it makes, very cool. Staff are all professional and most importantly happy/friendly. Food was amazing at Brunch. I had eggs Benedict. Check out the 3 bird cages as well.
I had the opportunity to hear about their orientation meeting for new employees (from those attending). Those employees were blown away by the sincere emphasis on the W & R's core values and mission statement. I visit W & R every year about this time and can honestly say it's the best resort I've ever experienced & I have traveled the world. "Continuous improvement" isn't just a line in their mission statement - that's what they do. Thanks Russ, Kathy & staff!
The venue for this wedding was gorgeous! The staff was very attentive and Jacqueline gave us such great service! Everyone was great! Loved the wedding and the venue.
Lunch rather than a very busy dinner for Valentine's and we were not disappointed. The cup of soup at $8 was a little pricey especially as we had to ask for bread for the table after it was served. Tasty, nevertheless. The salmon poke was served on a deep fried seaweed and quite delicious. For those with a more spicy taste, it might be a good idea to ask for a little more wasabi on the side. Po' boy was fine although that we experienced at New Orleans airport had triple the shrimp and less lettuce. The Klouda Zin at $36 was fairly priced and while some mighty not find that the perfect pairing, it worked well for us as lovers of that particular Lodi grape.
Very nice place to stay. We started with a smaller room, not quite what we had anticipated from what we reserved, but they quickly resolved the situation and moved us to a very nice upstairs suite with a private balcony overlooking the grounds. Food and staff was amazing. We plan to go back annually when we visit our family in Santa Rosa.
We held our daughter's wedding here. Nice venue. Friendly staff but they gave away all our daughter's wedding flowers to an unknown person. No remediation was offered.
This is not the place to come if you want to relax and have a good time. We felt like we would get in trouble if we walked on the grass . The director Art Tovar is a horrible manager/director...no communication skills at all. Beautiful property but super boring. I was hoping to be super excited about coming here . we will never return!!!!!
We had a lovely time for our anniversary. It was the perfect place to stay and very enjoyable. The spa experience that I got mostly for my wife was incredible. We will be back.
After our wedding last year, my husband and I vowed that we would return every year for our anniversary. We made reservations in May for a night at the hotel and a couple's massage at the spa. Just our luck, the spa was closed on the weekend of our actual anniversary for upgrades so we had to go the weekend after. Whatever, no big deal. Since we made the reservations SO early, I was concerned that they may have been lost or messed up, so I called them 2 weeks ahead of time to confirm. I spoke to a girl on the phone and we even joked about how the spa was closed when we wanted to go but that we would be one of the first couples to enjoy their new suite. She confirmed all of our dates and reservations and we hung up.
Cut to the day of our reservation, we got there at around noon so we could do a pre- check in and get started enjoying the lounge pools and sauna when, low and behold. WE DIDN'T HAVE A RESERVATION!!! Apparently, when I called to confirm, the person who was so helpful on the phone cancelled our reservations! Not just for the hotel but for the spa too!! After insisting for 5 minutes that I did NOT cancel the reservations (why would I be standing there if I had) a manager was finally called to help. He was able to get us a room and talked to the spa and got us an appointment there, but 2 hours after we were planning. This meant we had to postpone our dinner reservations and completely RUINED our plans of re-taking some of our wedding day photos.
This was a horrible experience and really, really upset me but the worst part was that there was NO consolation! They didn't offer a bottle of wine, a dessert, absolutely NOTHING to make up for completely ruining what should have been a wonderul first wedding anniversary. Apparently, fitting us in somehow, regardless of ruining other plans that we had for the day, was enough. Wrong! I would no longer trust this establishment with something as special and important as my wedding anniversary. Such a shame; the massages were wonderful, the food was absolutely amazing (which is why I give them 2 stars instead of 1); but in the back of my mind all I couldn think about was everything that went wrong. Thank you for ruining what should have been a wonderful experience.
This is an incredible venue! Very beautiful with a courtyard filled with plants and bird aviaries. Interior spaces also gorgeous! Staff friendly, professional, and courteous. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. We went to a wedding reception there and was amazed at the facility and all it has to offer! Highly recommend!
I went to this wine shop yesterday afternoon. The server was well versed regarding the menu and wine list. I was happy to see he had at least one Sauvignon blanc from the other country. It went well with my meal, and the crab dinner was fabulous too. I highly recommend this place!
Just returned from another lovely visit to Wine & Roses in Lodi. This must have been our 6th visit. We were able to completely de-stress - the pool is fabulous, as is the exercise room. The bar is very nice with a good bar menu to choose from if you don't want to eat in the main restaurant. We love listening to Kim Nyjak on the piano - she now has two cd's you can purchase. There are some really nice restaurants in downtown Lodi - take a map with you as we always get lost trying to find our way out! I was disappointed that the Spa was closed the whole time we were there as they were installing a new floor - but that's life. There will always be another time. We have stayed in many different areas of the property and enjoy them all. The newer rooms across the parking lot are very large and modern, if you light a bit more space and light.
Nice surroundings. Staff was somewhat overbearing. It was at the steep end of price, not a lot of bang for a buck. But centrally located. Close toost events
Loved this place! We were visiting from out of town and wanted to get a couple bottles of wine as gifts and their staff was SO great at helping us decide which bottles to go with. We WILL be back!
First time eating at Towne House at Wine & Roses. Very impressed with the service during these unprecedented times, very attentive, friendly customer service. We were there celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Food was very delicious, maybe a smidgen over salted. The starter of "local figs and goat cheese was delicious!
Went here for business. The meeting rooms were excellent as well as the buffet dinner and breakfast. The medallions of beef for dinner were tender and juicy.
Great service and friendly staff. Their wine selection was excellent. The few complaints we had was we had to send my burger back because it was too well done as I ordered rare. The second burger came back exactly the same. But I had to keep it as I was sure it would not improve after so many attempts. But over all I think 4 stars is fair.
I make a lot of wedding cake deliveries here for my business so I get to see the magic first hand! The venue is sworming with amazing staff. Weddings here are a must! The beautiful garden ballroom is just stunning even without tons of decoration. I've also come here for family occasions and the food...o...m...g...worth every penny! It's romamtic even just for a weekend getaway! Don't forget about the spa!!! Pamper yourself you won't regret it!
Beautiful setting! Server was very proficient and friendly. The stuffed French toast was disappointing and not made according to the description - bananas were substituted for stone fruit - would not have ordered had I known this. My husband dish however was delicious. We had reservations, and the resturant was almost empty, yet we were seated in a dark corner next to the kitchen - also disappointing! We had a special guest with us, so I let both issues go.
I came out for a friend's wedding. Lodi itself is a small wine town surrounded by vineyards. Aside from a small and quaint downtown shopping center, which is comprised of a few blocks of Ma & Pa local shops, do expect to do much shopping. The closest mall is in 15 mins away in Stockton, and it's not a great one. As for Wine & Roses, it was a beautiful wedding venue. The ceremony was in a open area by the garden, followed by a cocktail hour in the courtyard that was covered by a canopy. The reception was in the ballroom. The venue had a lot of charm and had a rustic feel. Food was amazing, I had the duck while my wife had the salmon - both tasted great. The ballroom was lit with stings of lights and was very cozy. The wedding ran very smoothly, and I had a great time.
