Living at Windsor was my worst housing experience ...

Living at Windsor was my worst housing experience ever. Rent/parking prices are way too high for what you get. Parking is a joke, you have to pay $50-100 to share a parking spot with someone else. The showers are tiny, and the "walk in" closets are barely large enough to be considered a closet. They advertise a balcony in every apartment, but the balconies weren't even large enough to close the door behind you when you stepped out. There were tons of break ins when I lived there, especially on the first floor. Management didn't do anything about the break ins except tell us to lock our doors. Clean checks are the absolute worst. If you leave even a spot on your mirror, management will charge you $15. The ward is cold and distant- you can tell that no one wants to be there. There were a lot of snobby people in the ward, and there were maybe 5 friendly people. 10/10 would not recommend.

Amenities are nice, Managers are the best! Their very understanding and they take the time to get to know everyone. Apartments are really nice and I refuse to live anywhere else! And for all those who are complaining about Windsor Manor they're being petty because they were probably doing things they weren't supposed to be doing and got caught! Windsor Manor is a place that lives up to the honor code and respects every privacy right we have.

Living in Windsor Manor has been a phenomenal experience for me. I know moving away from home can be really tough sometimes, so it's nice to be in such a safe and welcoming location. The managers are like second parents, but not overbearing. It's apparent they care for their tenants and provide reasonable rules to maintain order while giving those living here a lot of freedoms.

One of the worst place that you can live. As far as good things I can only say the location was nice. For how expensive it is nothing is offered. I would say the biggest problem is management. They pretend to be your friend and then act petty and talk about you to other tenants. They lie and deceive you and make up rules as you go. Another huge problem is they freely walk into your apartment often which is clearly stated in the lease that that is not allowed.

The building and rooms are beautiful but the management is not good. I ve lived here one semester and I didn t wear a mask at the socially distanced gym while working out and they reported me to the schools honor office. When I go visit friends that live in other places and where I lived last semester they would encourage you to wear a mask but not report you for it. The covid guidelines say that when social distancing is not possible, to wear a mask. When they caught me I wasn t even within 6 feet of anyone until they approached me in the middle of a workout. That s not even the issue though, if they really wanted to prevent covid from spreading in the gym they would be sanitizing the equipment as diligently as they enforce wearing a mask. Also, after they gave me their red card telling me they would report me and left the gym the people I was at the gym with just lowered their masks and kept working out not wearing their mask properly. Another thing is the amount of times I have gone to lift a weight or touched a piece of equipment and I could feel the warm, moist, sticky feeling that s left behind from a person who didn t clean up after themselves is astronomical. The rules aren t consistent. If they really wanted to prevent covid we d be doing what the European countries are doing where we d be in complete lockdown and you re only allowed to leave your apartment to buy food and go to work. Random people that are friends with my roommates come into my apartment all the time, where s Windsor management reporting them to the honor office? People wear masks incorrectly all the time while at the gym, wears Windsor reporting them to the honor office? People rarely wipe down their sweaty used workout equipment at the gym, where s Windsor reporting them to the honor office? I ve gone to the gym every weekday since I ve lived here and nobody has said anything to me about not wearing a mask after 6 weeks of going to the gym without a mask, now they want to start enforcing, Im curious what changed? How can you set one standard and than change it without people getting upset? So much inconsistency and half effective rules. I m never living here again and advising everyone I meet not to live here too.

I have lived in multiple places in Rexburg, by far this was the worse location. So many issues with management / owner they would make you lose your money and time. The place is nice but is not worth the lies and deceiving you get from the manager/owners. I went to them to talk about an issue. I later found find out that they talked about me behind my back to other tenants in the building. If you care about your money and time don't live here!

Updated Post: This complex is still a huge joke. The management/owner took over 4 years to acknowledge my review and respond back. This shows how little they care about their tenants. After you sign your contract don't expect much from this place! Avoid at all cost.

I have not lived in a better housing complex before in my life. I literally love everything about this place. From the themes of each floor to the wonderful amenities that are provided, there really is not a place in town for single student housing that is better than Windsor manor. The managers are perfect and the coolest people on earth. Not to mention they are extremely loving! The owner is super cool and easy to talk to and are super willing to help you out with anything you need. The washer and dryer in the apt is kind of it's best treasure as well. The price is totally worth every penny because you do pay for what you are getting and that is excellence. It is also in a perfect location as well, what more could anyone ask for!

I ve been so impressed with Windsor Manor. The design is so well thought-out for students. Lots of plugs and storage inside the apartments, and spectacular touches like lounge areas with books and games, study rooms, an amazing theater room, and even a couple secret rooms. I ve never seen such an amazing apartment complex! As a Mom I appreciate the combination of study-support and social-support at Windsor.

This place is amazing! When COVID-19 came, the place protected us very well. I am so glad that I could stay here. I felt safe here even though I didn't go home to Asia. I would recommend you to live here. The manager is so awesome! I love to live here.

It's definitely the most pricey option on campus....but you get what you pay for. The managers are very personable and outstanding. They always have something going on whether it be games, food, or scavenger hunts. The amenities are by far the most impressive part; three pianos, study rooms, a gym, and a fitness/yoga room. Be prepared for some very critical clean checks, but that's no big deal. Best place I've lived so far.

very nice movie room. 10/10 would mooch off a friend and use the movie room without him even around with the excuse "he was going to meet me here i was just waiting on him no i don't live here i didn't know that was a problem" again. no one ever bothered to ask if i actually lived there anyway... better yet, free movie room! this place is great! the one time i was kicked out it was by someone else who didn't live there who had a friend that reserved the room for them to shill their products. their friend didn't show up either!

This is a great apartment complex with fantastic management who really care about their tenants and work so hard. The building is clean and well maintained with spacious common areas, beautiful art and photography displayed on each floor, great amenities, and an intelligent and welcoming design. You will not find any other student housing complex with a more attentive and thoughtful owner, manager, or staff.

Great place to live, it's more than just an apartm...

Great place to live, it's more than just an apartment and probably the best apartment management you'll find! It's directly across the street from campus (church is literally less than a five minute walk away at the Clark building), There are countless amenities (comfortable theater room, storage for between semesters, study rooms, fire pit, kitchen areas, gym etc) and common areas available to tenets with games and books on every floor and the managers host fun events such as flapjack fridays, dime carnivals, "quidditch" tournaments, Halloween parties, a quest for a cash prize each semester and more and they really try to get to know you personally. The actual apartments have spacious living rooms and lots of storage space under the beds, in the closets and in the bathrooms and kitchen. Maintenance requests are followed up super quickly and clean checks/white glove are reasonable/manageable.

My only complaints about my experience (5 semesters) were 1. that the air conditioner was really loud and seemed extra cold in front of my room and my roommates wanted it on all the time (it's not a turn off for most people, but it drove me crazy and felt like I needed to wear jackets/blankets in the apartment at all times) and 2. I think everyone complained about the parking. Having a parking garage is nice to have the option to be out of the snow but it was REALLY tight in most spots (I had a roommate who had to get into her car through her passenger door because her spot was up against a wall and too small to open the driver door). And the tandem parking option is kind of a joke because coordinating with another person on when you can use your car is super annoying and most of the time you just can't use it. and 3. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear what's going on in the living room or on the TV pretty clearly from the bedrooms

Overall you're not going to have a nicer apartment experience anywhere. It's expensive but you are paying for so much more than just a place to live

I love Windsor. I have lived here my whole time at BYU-Idaho, so 6 semesters. It is expensive but worth it. A big benefit of Windsor is that it is really close to all the buildings that I have classes in! I like the fun amenities and the "homey" feel.

The only saving grace is the fact this place is close to campus. But it is not worth the trouble this place gives you. If you're staying here, expect random charges and random rule changes at any point. I can't stand the manager. She makes things so much more difficult than things need to be. This place charges way more than what its actually worth. Look elsewhere for housing. Don't do it.

Worst management I have ever worked with when it comes to housing complexes. I would give 0 stars is that was an option. Overpriced, and not near as nice as other complexes. Windsor is not considerate of their residents. I worked full time while living here, and it was extremely frustrating trying to communicate and complete the things they require me to since their office hours are almost non existent if you work during the day. The first time I tried to use the TV, the only channels available where x-rated TV shows. When I talked to management, it took almost 2 whole weeks to get it fixed. I also submitted a maintenance request in July 2020 and it still wasn't fixed when I finally moved out in December 2020. I talked to someone or submitted emails probably 4 or 5 times in that time span. I really expected more from a BYU-Idaho approved housing complex. They say they do everything by the book, but I am pretty sure they use BYU-Idaho as an excuse to make more ridiculous rules that are not being forced by the university and charge extra fees wherever they can. Make sure you read the fine print of their contracts! They will charge you for every little thing you can think of and some. They wouldn't even send me my deposit back through the mail. They sent it through my school email as a digital check. I graduated, so I am lucky to have just happened to check my school email, otherwise it may have expired and then I never would have gotten my deposit back. 100% regret my decision to move here. Do not waste your time looking at this place to live.

This is the most amazing apartment complex in Rexburg. The management is absolutely incredible! Rachel and Michelle really care about the students and their well-being. They listen about the problems and hardships, they are willing to work with you and help with anything you need. It truly is a home away from home!

Windsor Manor is, in my opinion, a perfect example of getting value rather than the best price. I've lived here for two years as I couldn t find anywhere else that provides the same experience for the price I pay. With an annual contract Windsor Manor is actually one of the cheapest approved housing in Rexburg, and what you get is unparalleled.

The atmosphere is wonderful. Both buildings smell great (it s a weird thing to mention, but everyone that visits notices and mentions it), and the lighting is warm and welcoming. There are a ton of amenities, and the parking has covered and uncovered options.

The apartments are cozy and provide everything you would expect. I would recommend living here to anyone, and the extended contract options make a huge difference in price.

DON'T MOVE HERE!!

DON'T MOVE HERE!!

I wouldn't reccomend moving here. The management is super unprofessional and I haven't had many problems until this new one, who's been there about a year or two.

Yes it is close to campus, but the rent is not worth it when there are a ton of extra hidden fees as well as rather pricey fees. One includes a $75.00 cancellation fee to cancel the contract you signed, a charge for paying rent online. I tried to pay my rent in full once time online and aside from the $1495 rent due at the time, it was also another $50-$60 charge for using a card online to pay.

The website is weird and you can't even cancel your own leases, the manager would need to do that themselves. It's a bit tricky to navigate.

Management can take forever to respond to emails, as well as sending out the maintenance to help with problems going on in the apartments themselves. Like you can text them with a follow up and they will still take forever to respond.

There was a room I was staying in once where the island light just stopped working and I put in a request and it was never resolved.
A white glove recheck is $10 - $15 plus extra fees if you leave trash, I believe it was $25 per half hour. A normal clean check, you get charged for not cleaning your apartment to their liking, and they can be very biased.

If there are any spots on the wall that the cheap paint has come off, they will charge you and 're-paint' themselves. The way they paint is so poorly done that there is no point in putting anything on the wall, the paint will easily come right off.
The rooms are ok sized, but the shower in the bathroom is tiny. The closets aren't that much bigger either. It's barely a walk in closet, and it's not much space when one roommate has a lot more clothes than yourself. For the 8 person apartments, 8 people have to share between 2 fridges. It's made the exact same way as the 6 person apartments but you're crowded with 8 people. The storage space is exactly the same in the 8 person apartment, only with a sorry excuse of a 'closet' in the center bathrooms.

The manager is very unprofessional, and will say they're doing things by the book but at this point it's just ridiculous, constantly going back and forth between their words everytime I call them. They first say it was a BYU-I Policy that has changed and then will say it was a change made by their supervisor, i.e the owner of the apartments.

Just don't bother moving here. It's not worth your time, especially when the manager themselves will have a sigh of annoyance while you take to them over the phone over some issues arising. It's not worth the trouble, the convenience of having campus across the street, nor is it worth it for the rent or hidden fees.

I lived there for the whole time I have attended BYUI up until I got married. I enjoyed my time there. I like that it is a smaller complex and doesn t totally feel like a hotel. I think the apartment quality and amenities are great. I don t think the pricing is too bad compared to the other nicer/newer apartments in Rexburg. Location was also great for me since I had all my classes in the Smith. My only word of warning would be to avoid an 8 man apartment; too many people for one apartment.

By far the most comfortable apartment complex I've lived in while here at Rexburg. I've always said you pay for what you get. Management is super nice and friendly. They also are more than willing to help negotiate and be lenient with any problems you may be having. Also, the community and social environment here is fabulous.

Windsor is the best place I have ever lived! I couldn't ask for better roommates or managers. I've lived here for 3 semesters and I don't plan on leaving unless I get married because nowhere compares to the quality and experiences of Windsor Manor. This is an occasion where you pay for what you get. They have a theater room, activity room, small gym, pool tables, air hockey and much more.

Windsor Manor truly is a home away from home! I can't imagine living anywhere else while I finish school. Everything has exceeded my expectations of this apartment complex! First off, Kurt and Debbie are wonderful! I love how involved they are with the students, and really love what they do. They take the time to get to know your name and are willing to help out with any problem you may have. I love the atmosphere that Windsor Manor has! It really does feel like home and it feels great to come home after a hard day at school and feel relaxed and comfortable. The movie theater, underground parking, and proximity to campus are awesome, as well!

I love this place a ton. I'm glad to have been able to stay here during my time at BYU-Idaho. The best thing about it besides the design and architecture, is the fact that there is so much room and so many amenities to access. There's living rooms outside the halls and there's conference rooms and all sorts of places to go to besides your own apartment. Apartments can sometimes get crowded and it's nice sometimes to be able to go somewhere else for a bit for more space. Kurt and Debi are wonderful and I'm grateful for their management!

The apartments were fine but not at all for the price I paid. The biggest issue I had is with the management and staff. They were unhelpful and unfair. I got charged for clean checks that I did and submitted and also charged me for things that I had cleaned against the agreement I signed. Overall very unprofessional and do not honor the contract that you sign with them. Seriously look for good management, you do not want that headache!!

I love Windsor Manor. It's like a home away from home. I love how they really work with you and care about how you are doing. It really is a great place to live and I would definitely recommend you check it out. They are great . It's like living in a Harry potter world. They love to throw amazing parties. It also has a lot if ammentities like a theater room, study rooms, conferences rooms, a gym, an activities room, a fire pit, and many fire places to keep you warm in the winter time. The staff is very friendly and are always willing to work with you on any propen you may have but to tell you the truth there is nothing wrong with Windsor Manor. It's a wonderful place to live at and very homey feeling that you get from not just the place but also the people that live here. Everyone is so nice and willing to help you if you can't find your way around. The managers are amazing and always there to help with whatever you may need.

I have lived at Windsor Manor for 6 semesters, and I ve loved every one of them! We ve been through three different sets of management, yet the core atmosphere and vibe of Windsor has remained the same. Such a friendly and welcoming home. I hang out with my friends often, and it s almost ALWAYS at my apartment. :) The theatre room, excercise rooms, and recreational areas are so convenient to have. I spend a lot of time in the study rooms, and even more time in the three piano music rooms. I couldn t imagine living anywhere else!

I LOVE living at Windsor Manor. I can honestly say that this is the best place I've lived at. I love how close it is to campus and that it's not on a busy side of campus. That makes it safer and also the fact that there are many security cameras gives me peace of mind. There are also SO MANY things to do here. There's an exercise room, exercise classes, free pancakes once a month, free bread after devotionals, clean parties, there are way too many perks of living here than I can count. I would definitely recommend living here to any person, male or female, because of the quality of the apartments and management. The managers have become like parents to me and I am so grateful I have this opportunity to live here!

I really liked this place. You can tell they care about it by how they are always remodelling, decorating, updating, and giving quick response to any issue. Management has been my favorite so far.
People, from what I have seen, are not the most sociable, but they mind their own business.
It is not the cheapest place to live, but I have lived in Centre Square and The Ivy (The Lodge) which are pretty similar on price, and this one was my favorite.
