Great course, well maintained. Fall golf at it's best!
Great course, well maintained. Fall golf at it's best!
Golf course was in good condition. Bar manager was great to talk with when in the clubhouse! Awesome guy!
Course is in great shape, and the 27 holes offer a variety of different skill options.
If there is a 0 option, that is what I would choose. We golfed as a 7 some for a bachelor party. We had been approved to do this as long as we did best ball. We followed this, played best ball, and let at least 7 groups through past us, and the ranger was following us through 8/9 holes. We did not act out in any manner, simply tried to play a round of golf. We paid for 18, but after 9 holes of being forced to hurry and not enjoy our game of golf, we decided to leave. Not very pleased with our visit, and will not be going back, and will ensure anyone we know will not be going as well.
We golfed out at Winagamie two days this weekend after a 20 year break. For most of my family this was our first rounds on the "new" course since it was added back in 2001. Overall conditions of the course were pretty good; although they appear to have been impacted by the excess rain as there are some fairway repairs and erosion issues through out the course. Not many effected play however and greens were normal conditions. Strongly recommend playing the Pines and Woodlands courses if available; the Highlands plays very open and would recommend for those that don't find the fairway as often as they like. Overall, we had some nice rounds of golf. Unfortunately, the negative part of our experience at Winagamie was the staff. While I can't explicitly call the staff "rude;" it's a fine line of separation. First and foremost in the midst of social distancing and COVID-19 measures we were very surprised that we were forced to share a cart; especially when we asked about the protocols. The response we received was "we were told it's OK for two to a cart now..." This was a bit odd and other courses are insisting that golfers separate if they do not live in the same household. This course didn't even ask....Be prepared when you arrive to discuss as the carts are not scheduled online with your tee times. You can trying calling in advance, but our experience was that the phone went unanswered...
Overall, we found the staff (especially those that are over the age of 40) to be unaccommodating and ambivalent as to whether they wanted our business. This was quite surprising as almost EVERY OTHER BUSINESS in the state has been very appreciative of seeing customers since mid-March...not the same here. The only exceptions we found were the gals on the beverage carts. They were very friendly and made the rounds about the course so that we were seeing them every few holes for a cold refreshment. It's not often that I can recommend that the younger generation teach the older generation about kindness, but that would apply this weekend at Winagamie. If you're looking for a casual round of golf, head on out, but familiarize yourselves with the course layout before you arrive as you'll have to be very assertive to find assistance with much else....
First time playing this course. I will definitely return.
I've had a great time every time I've golfed here! The course is very-well maintained, scenic, and presents enough challenges for me!
Good prices, and very well maintained for the cost. Pace of play can be a little slow on league nights, but that is to be expected anywhere. Also, they've got Spotted Cow on tap in the clubhouse.
Very nice golf course. They have a bar and some food is available.
Was a nice place, there for a corporate event. Staff seemed friendly, course was maintained pretty well, could have used some attention in the rough but it was pretty wet and rainy so might have impacted ability to get to certain places. Food for lunch was fine, not sure about their normal offerings. Would play there again.
I have played this course since I was a kid, not my favorite course by any means. Since Appleton Area School District took over ownership it has been in good condition. There isn't much you can do about the layout though.. Staff is always very nice.
Great course! Well kept and fun!! Love golfing here with my husband. This is our favorite Golf course
Great staff and course is well kept...Woodlands a challenge with leavea
Always helpful and love the courses. They are very well taken care of
Great rates, need to put flags on hole pins. Also don't over book, play league out there and sloooooooow play kills the game. Make it mandatory that carts are used to speed up play. Shouldn't take 3 hours for 9 holes.
Large, beautiful course with friendly people. The only downside is the shooting range that's down the road, so you constantly hear gunfire while golfing.
Nice course. Not overly challenging but perfect for an outing or easy day out.
Always love golfing here, course looks awsome and very well taken care of all the time. Very friendly staff , never have a problem booking a tee time. We took a golf lesson from Matt golf instructor was very helpful and patient with us. I would HIGHLY recommend golfing at wiinnegamie. And they always make sure everything is sanitized and ready to go :)
Just a real nice golf course well maintained friendly service
Great course!! So much privacy and it's quite. Never too busy. Just did a quick round with a client, last minute, no tee time scheduled and they were more than happy to let us hit a round. Driving range is close to clubhouse which is convenient for ball refills :)
26$ for 18 with a cart but unfortunately the only place I've found that won't allow under 18 to drive a cart. They don't explain that online or when calling so piling 3 in a cart nakes for a bad day
Great food and great service! Highly recommend giving it a try.
Bring Extra Balls! You cant find your ball in the longer grass without standing over top of it. I seen i am not the only one whos had this problem. The Actual reason of the low rating is with Helicopter supervising. Multiple people driving around and watching people like its middle school gym glass. the constant "dont park there" "Dont Drive there" "your too close to the hill" i could certainly do without, not my first rodeo pal. Greens were the best i played all year. So their is that. Nice Course, Wont Be Returning
If you do a golf league there rounds are cheap and the course is pretty easy.
Nice 27 hole course. Plenty of straight par fours. Tricky play in the rough because the grass surrounds and swallows the ball. Well maintained fairways and greens. Wish there were more water hazard holes. Pro shop staff are very friendly and happy. Deffinatley be back in the future to play again.
Terrible customer service. Awful course, even worse people. Not a single good thing to say
Very nice and relaxing laid back course. There is a beverage cart that comes around the course to take orders. There are also portable bathrooms placed around the course. They are kept clean and have hand sanitizer for your convenience.
Great course, only draw back was we never saw a beverage cart.
It's a great golf course for people who are new or people just getting started with golf, the staff are nice, the prices are fair and cheap. I mean, what else I have to say but 10/10 highly recommend it.
I have been playing Winagamie every Sunday for almost 2 years. I never make a tee time since I usually play the Highlands and have always gotten on in 15-20 min.
Today when I made my weekly trip to the course I was told "Things have changed" regarding needing to make a tee time prior to playing.
This course is by no means a high level course and I typically only play for practice. My advice to the ownership of this mediocre establishment is to be mindful of their policy changes since there are several courses that will take my money and allow me to walk-on, even if I have to wait in the clubhouse until they can get me on (*Hint* The margins on food and drink are pretty good)
With this type of service this course will fall victim to the next housing development boom.
Nice course to play. Roughs were pretty thick which made it difficult to find the ball. Some fairways had problem areas that were already being tended to. 27 holes kept the groups pretty spread out. Also seemed to have a nice pro shop and club house. Finish the fairway cleanups and maybe shorten the roughs a touch and this is a 5 star in my mind.
Mary Beth does a great job keeping all three courses at Winagamie Golf Course in great shape. I have been golfing at Winagamie on a regular basis for the past four years. The golf course is always well maintained. Mary Beth appreciates her golf leagues with a League Appreciation Day with 9 holes of free golf, plus Sandy who is in charge of the grill and bar area provided a free lunch after golf. Sandy does a great job serving good food. Her staff is fantastic! I strongly recommend getting to know Mary Beth, the staff, and the three golf courses at Winagamie Golf Course.
Good deal, Mosquitos were atrocious on 2 or 3 holes, but it was a fun course to play
They gave us no details on beer policy. Didn t even get to drive hole one before our beer was taken. We couldn t get it it back and couldn t take it back to the car. Bruhhh
Need to have 150 and 100yrd markers on sides of fairways
Only issue
Nice reasonably priced golf course in what is know as the "Valley" in Northeastern Wisconsin. May not be challenging enough for a pro but hard enough for me. Would recommend and will golf it again.
Taylor's service was awesome in the club house and Marisa the cart was awesome and the rest of the staff
The people working were A**Holes and didn t really care much for my friends and I. We are 25 years old and they treated us like we were a bunch of 16 year olds that just came to rip up the course with golf carts. We were 2 min late for our tee time and the guy working wasn t even going to let us golf. The course is extremely boring as the front 9 is the exact same thing for every hole. The customer service was pretty bad and I don t see myself or any of my friends coming back to this course
Course is in great shape. Woodlands is a fun 9 hole play.
All 3 nine hole courses are great to play. Like woodlands course the best.
Nice course. Did the twilight barely got 18 in. Single golfer and people would not let me pass. Over booked
I ve played the courses here more times than I could count, I still love it
The confusing greens and picturesque views of winagmie golf course
I golf winagamie golf course more than any other course for a reason. That says a lot.
Offers a challenging number of holes. Well maintained course. Starting the winter maintenance routine, adds some difficulty.
This is a great course for many different skill levels. There are three sets of 9 holes. Each one a little more difficult than the last. Inside the bar has a different deal for almost every day for food and drinks. They have people riding around on carts with refreshments as you play so you don't need to carry anything around.
Course was in nice shape. Did a twilight package, was reasonable but had to have cart back by 8:30. Missed a lot of golf because of early return policy.
We had an awsome time. Play the woodlands for sure.
