Very good place. We went to learn skiing/snowboard...
Very good place. We went to learn skiing/snowboarding and we loved it.
Very good place. We went to learn skiing/snowboarding and we loved it.
My children have enjoyed middle school ski club on Friday night's for year. Great staff who do the best they can with the novice courses. Lessons are superb. Food reasonable for resort.
I love Willard. I know the owner personally. Very nice man. Beyond amazing staff! Such a friendly place
Wonderful place to bring the fam a great mountain for riding ripping it up or hanging with the fam
Nice people, although some working the lift can be relatively rude at times. Overall a nice little mountain, I wish there were a little more to offer as far as trails go. I would recommend this mountain for beginners or just to catch a few runs. If you stay more than 4 hours, it definitely gets boring.
Great family skii hill. Big enough to keep the kids entertained, but small enough that everybody comes to one point at the bottom.
Awesome! The staff is super friendly! Great family place!
Love this mountain, great place to learn, great staff.
Amazing place to ski and snow tubing. Had loads of fun! The tickets are reasonable.
Staff members were helpful and friendly.
Overall a wonderful place to visit within the budget in large groups, kids, or a couple.
First time at this mountain, great place! Went right after the blizzard of 2020 on opening day and it was incredible! Conditions are great, staff is amazing and helpful. Will absolutely be skiing there again!
OMG, the place is beautiful, the staff are sooooo friendly, love the place. Thanks for a lovely Saturday! (Oh, the bar is awsome to)
Great local fun for skiers. Wonderful place for kids to learn.
Best place to learn to ski! Family-oriented and a great value. Will always recommend Willard Mountain for those looking to get into snowsports.
Pretty small. The large classes of children learning to ski were somewhat inconvenient going down the slopes. 10-15 children zig zagging all the way down in a single file line. Wasn't a huge fan of that. Otherwise, not a bad place to be
The view is Awesome. What a great place to take kids.
I loved this place as a teenager, now sharing the experience with my grandson. He loves it as much as I do!!!
Great little mountain for some fun and learning how to ski and snowboard. Very personal lessons
My family has been learning to ski here for generations.
Great place for beginners and kids learning to ski! Friendly instructors and staff!
My first time snowboarding had a lot of fun learning
Only 30 miles from Albany and a great place to learn and hone your skiing and tubing skills. Great family hill.
We ve been coming here for two generations. Ski lessons and ski clubs and day trips. Always friendly.
Went to Albany to visit my family and decided to teach my kid to ski while we are there. The kid classes are morning and afternoon for an hr each. Within 2 days(4 lessons), my 5 y/o can go down greens without falling. Having been to a quite a few skiing resorts, I am confident you won't find a better resort for the quality of instruction than you will find at Willard. Specially not at the price.
As for my personal taste, the resort is one of the smaller ones. It doesn't have the double black diamonds, bowl nor a terrain park. But there was also no line at the lift. In fact I never waited for more than a min for a lift.
If you are 15-27 years old looking for big jumps, and that hit of adrenaline, go somewhere else. If you are looking to learn, teach your kid, or have any kind of responsibility in your life, check this place out.
A great family mountain! My son went from absolute beginner to competent skier in two days thanks to their lesson program, which is very affordable. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a positive experience. We really like this place!
Great place, with extremely nice people running the show!
Great day at a great little mountain. Plenty for the whole family, especially the learners. Got our 3yo on skis for first time and her instructor was very patient with her.
Fantastic family-friendly place!!! Our boys started skiing at Willard in third grade. Now 19 and 16 years old, they still enjoy all that this little mountain has to offer: a diversity of skiing, good friends, safe environment, warmth and food.
My 8 yr old grandson took snowboarding lessons last year and essentially received one on one instructions as snowboarding is not as popular as the ski program. The instructors were very patient and encouraging. The learn to ski program also allows program members to a free lift ticket on their program s day and time slot for the season excluding Holiday weeks. A great value! We will be returning this winter for additional lessons.
Great little hill with some steep runs and great kids lesson program
Great place to learn to ski! Knowledgeable instructors, friendly staff. Rental gear is well maintained. Rates are very reasonable. Thirst-aid room is great & food servings are generous. Also has a snack-bar for the youngsters
Great day skiing for a small mountain. If you are looking for a large mountain with lots of different terrain then this is NOT your place. But if you want a nice, family-friendly, and quiet mountain, this place rocks. Lift tickets were reasonable. Runs are short, but fun.
Affordable skiing! A small, family run business that hasn't lost it's personal touch! If you are an Olympic skier then maybe be rid isn't the mountain for you but for we poor huddled masses? Perfect!
A great family atmosphere. The instructors are extremely patient and kind.
Fun time.
Thanks for the hot dog and cider donut.
Good for kid lesson and tube ride.. close to Troy. Nice people nice staffs
Great place for beginner skiers, and enough challenging terrain for more experienced parents. Great people enthusiastic about others enjoying the sport. Good deals on line if you plan ahead.
Good food and drink. A great pit stop when out on the sleds!
Great family environment! Ski lessons for all, little kids get lots of attention. Everyone working here is wonderful, super kind and helpful.
Good service and people that work there like the instructor's that help you along.
Very fun to ski ang snowboard here. The food id also very good.
Small mountain, huge value. Instructors are super helpful. Kids' Learn to Ski is amazing!
First time on the slopes with my kids and family and loved it. Very friendly staff and patient with us Floridans.
Amazing "starter mountain" for little kids and adults alike. For $50 you can get rentals, a bunny slope lift ticket, and 4 1/2 hours of lessons! There's a couple of long runs and some tubing, but this is primarily a ski school mountain for newbies to learn. Our three kids learned here and we're very grateful!
There's a bar and bar food, a ski shop, rentals, and a small cute lodge to warm up in.
Such a great mountain, i learned how to ski there and I've come back to ski race there, recently left my skis there on accident and to my surprise they had brought them in from the cold and were still waiting there, it's a great family mountain filled with nice people
Great staff, super prices and the trails are in great shape.
Great family mountain! The entire staff is so friendly and helpful, they treat you like you're family.
It's so nice to go to a family mt. Where you know the people who run it and own it are there because they enjoy skiing and all that it entails.
Overall a good experience... This was our first time skiing, rental process went smooth. Lesson breaks up into smaller groups of 4 to 7 people and I felt it was well taught. We also had a 7 year old in little colonal program, the little kids program I felt was very average. Lots of kids, hill very small, took each kid a long time to shimmy up the side and wait their turn to go back down. I felt the staff were great, really attentive, seemed to really care about teaching. At one point a middle aged students was experiencing very bad arch discomfort. They took him in to readjust to a different boot, then went to shop and got him inserts. Showed to me they really cared. Not the world's nicest mountain but starting out its exactly what we needed... Small, no frills. If you are looking to try skiing, give them a shot, I think you'll like their teaching center. 3 out of 4 (age 39, 13 and 10) of us walked away having a solid idea on how and what to do and are probably ready for the easiest of the real hills. Little guy is a work in progress but it's not the teachers fault.
They closed the snow tubing early because they did not have enough customers, so when I came before closing time, they already closed earlier...
Chic and his team are the best. Better service than the mega resorts. And friendlier attitude.
Very nice place and people..awesome time doing snow tubing
Great place to work best place to learn how to ski in the north east!
Awesome family place for little kids to learn to ski.
Do not have your expectations too high and you will enjoy this mountain for what it is - a family mountain for those first learning. A small hill with few runs but great for kids with a strong learn to ski. Rentals process couldn't be easier.
Small ski resort with a few ski trails kids friendly mainly for beginners. The team is very friendly.
They have very economic programs.
Staff are helpful and friendly!!! Great place for beginners to learn.
Such an amazing place for the whole family! Great deals for kids learning how to ski!
Fantastic! It's a small area where people don't get lost in the crowd. Took my granddaughter for a lesson and some skiing. She was in small classes and made amazing strides in her abilities. The instructors were wonderful and patient. Thumbs up.
Wonderful local ski area. Small but friendly, especially for kids.
Awesome small mountain, great terrain options for beginner on up.
At Willard the instructors are not really that engaged I feel that there is not much structure behind the lessons and the slopes are extremely icy almost always and they never make new snow. Very big safety hazard and I hope something changes.
Great place to learn to ski and love the giant pretzel at the bar
Went tubing, paid for two hours and only got to go down 4 times in total.
Get place to bring your family for a day or night of skiing...
If you are looking for a small, family-friendly ski area-this is it!
Very nice ski resort, great stuff and prices.
In my case they offered better prices at the resort so in the future I won t buy tickets online.
Boys love the place, they learned how to ski there.
Love it there. Very friendly people & knowledgeable. Food there is DELICIOUS - once ski season begins
