Nice people, although some working the lift can be relatively rude at times. Overall a nice little mountain, I wish there were a little more to offer as far as trails go. I would recommend this mountain for beginners or just to catch a few runs. If you stay more than 4 hours, it definitely gets boring.

Pretty small. The large classes of children learning to ski were somewhat inconvenient going down the slopes. 10-15 children zig zagging all the way down in a single file line. Wasn't a huge fan of that. Otherwise, not a bad place to be

Went to Albany to visit my family and decided to teach my kid to ski while we are there. The kid classes are morning and afternoon for an hr each. Within 2 days(4 lessons), my 5 y/o can go down greens without falling. Having been to a quite a few skiing resorts, I am confident you won't find a better resort for the quality of instruction than you will find at Willard. Specially not at the price.

As for my personal taste, the resort is one of the smaller ones. It doesn't have the double black diamonds, bowl nor a terrain park. But there was also no line at the lift. In fact I never waited for more than a min for a lift.

If you are 15-27 years old looking for big jumps, and that hit of adrenaline, go somewhere else. If you are looking to learn, teach your kid, or have any kind of responsibility in your life, check this place out.

A great family mountain! My son went from absolute beginner to competent skier in two days thanks to their lesson program, which is very affordable. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a positive experience. We really like this place!

Fantastic family-friendly place!!! Our boys started skiing at Willard in third grade. Now 19 and 16 years old, they still enjoy all that this little mountain has to offer: a diversity of skiing, good friends, safe environment, warmth and food.

My 8 yr old grandson took snowboarding lessons last year and essentially received one on one instructions as snowboarding is not as popular as the ski program. The instructors were very patient and encouraging. The learn to ski program also allows program members to a free lift ticket on their program s day and time slot for the season excluding Holiday weeks. A great value! We will be returning this winter for additional lessons.

Great day skiing for a small mountain. If you are looking for a large mountain with lots of different terrain then this is NOT your place. But if you want a nice, family-friendly, and quiet mountain, this place rocks. Lift tickets were reasonable. Runs are short, but fun.

Amazing "starter mountain" for little kids and adults alike. For $50 you can get rentals, a bunny slope lift ticket, and 4 1/2 hours of lessons! There's a couple of long runs and some tubing, but this is primarily a ski school mountain for newbies to learn. Our three kids learned here and we're very grateful!

There's a bar and bar food, a ski shop, rentals, and a small cute lodge to warm up in.

Such a great mountain, i learned how to ski there and I've come back to ski race there, recently left my skis there on accident and to my surprise they had brought them in from the cold and were still waiting there, it's a great family mountain filled with nice people

Overall a good experience... This was our first time skiing, rental process went smooth. Lesson breaks up into smaller groups of 4 to 7 people and I felt it was well taught. We also had a 7 year old in little colonal program, the little kids program I felt was very average. Lots of kids, hill very small, took each kid a long time to shimmy up the side and wait their turn to go back down. I felt the staff were great, really attentive, seemed to really care about teaching. At one point a middle aged students was experiencing very bad arch discomfort. They took him in to readjust to a different boot, then went to shop and got him inserts. Showed to me they really cared. Not the world's nicest mountain but starting out its exactly what we needed... Small, no frills. If you are looking to try skiing, give them a shot, I think you'll like their teaching center. 3 out of 4 (age 39, 13 and 10) of us walked away having a solid idea on how and what to do and are probably ready for the easiest of the real hills. Little guy is a work in progress but it's not the teachers fault.

Do not have your expectations too high and you will enjoy this mountain for what it is - a family mountain for those first learning. A small hill with few runs but great for kids with a strong learn to ski. Rentals process couldn't be easier.

Fantastic! It's a small area where people don't get lost in the crowd. Took my granddaughter for a lesson and some skiing. She was in small classes and made amazing strides in her abilities. The instructors were wonderful and patient. Thumbs up.

At Willard the instructors are not really that engaged I feel that there is not much structure behind the lessons and the slopes are extremely icy almost always and they never make new snow. Very big safety hazard and I hope something changes.
