I dont even want to give these unprofessional so called nurses and Dr.s a star at all... I have never in my life felt so mistreated, disrespected, & judged... From the moment i walked in I was greeted with a unprofessional bad attitude... If its left up to me I will never step foot in that facility again.... I will forever more suffer the 30-45 min drive to hugh Chatham memorial...
They treated me like I was some low down piece of trash. I have never felt more looked down on in my life. I came there asking for help and they Wana treat me like I'm scum. I wish i knew who to call to file a complaint on the staff there.
This hospital is absolutely terrible. They have terrible patient care and every time I come here, I end up waiting 3-4 hour just to be seen. This particular time I arrived at 11 pm and it s is 3:41 am now and I m still here. Waiting. They re have horrible communication with each other and they don t know how to treat people. I thought you were supposed to show that you care toward the patient, make them feel calm and/or relaxed. This place just makes me want to leave as soon as I get here. Some of the staff is friendly, the rest literally just act like they don t want to be there and in my opinion, that is not how a patient should be treated. If I could give any less than one star, I definately would.
180 degree turnaround since Baptist has taken over! Doctors, nurses, just everyone is more caring about the patients. Dont hesitate to come and get care here. I was hesitant about coming back from 2 years ago. But so glad we did! Top notch care now!
I do not like this place my daughter got very sick and my husband took her to the er while i stayed home with our youngest daughter and i called down there to check on her and they would not let me know anything about her
I was here a week ago. I had a very short wait in the reception area, they got me taken care of very quickly. The nurse and the PA I saw were great. I was only in the hospital a little over an hour.

I have made many remarks previously criticizing this hospital over the years (many would even go as far as to say they were brutal in content), and they were well deserved. Recently I had a life threatening illness and had to go to the E.R.....from the doctor in the Emergency Room (Dr. Davis), to the hospitalist physician, to the ICU nursing staff....I received excellent care. The ICU nursing staff are blessed angels, everyone of them. I would like to give a special shout out to the hospitalist taking care on me in house, Dr. Barot....and also ICU Nurse Absher. These two medical professionals are endowed with empathy...trust me...that attribute goes a long way in regards to the uncaring, money driven medical care landscape. If any Wake Forest Hospital System administrators happen to read this review....I say..... please recruit and value staff like the ones I just mentioned. I"m sincerely hoping my experience is not just a one off....but rather my experience is a result of Wake Forest Hospital Systems taking over this facility and are making improvements.
We have waited for three hours to be seen for stitches. They swear they are slammed but there's at least 4 nurses sitting at main station just chatting. One ER doctor on call for a Friday night! Will never come here again!!!
The front desk, nurses, and PA were professional and courteous. Everything went quickly, but there was only one other person walking in as we did. I will definitely choose this ER if we have a need again.
All I can say if you have to be admitted please request or demand to be transferred somewhere else!!!!They are rude,non professional and don't care,you will get yelled at and refused your life saving meds! Er was great!!!3Rd floor a nightmare!!!
Today s experience in the emergency room was different. Everyone I came in contact with from the front desk to the doctors were kind and compassionate and treated me with sincere care. Best experience I ve had in any hospital. Thank you to everyone who cared for me today!
This place is horrible. Doctors and nurses told my girlfriend to go home because they wanted to switch shifts. They didn t care what was wrong with her and she had to leave without being treated.
You should really tell your employees not to be so rude and practice what they preach! It's July 24th at 12 am my pregnant daughter and I were seen due to her having contractions....your front desk receptionist ask us to put on a mask rudely but refused to wear one herself....she said she didn't have to when I asked if she was going to wear one also....I did talk to her supervisor and I thought it was handled but when I was leaving she still wasn't wearing a mask....if your patients are made to wear one shouldn't an employee?? I will be filing a complaint about this in Winston Salem matter of fact it was unfair treatment so I will call everyday and complain until it's handled
The hostpital is the absolute worst everyone in town knows that if you have even the slightest possibility of any kind of ailment you need to either go to elkin or Winston. However I didn't have that luxury when I cut my eye a couple of weeks ago waited for over two and a half hours to be seen in throbbing pain. Now skip ahead a few weeks my 4 month old son who is a gastroskisis survivor has gone in with his mother because he had blood in his stool which for a gastro baby is a BIG deal.... nope not for these sorry excuse nurses and doctors he was checked in at 12 am here it is 2am and not a word haven't even been seen. I'll be calling in the a.m to file a official complaint and if my sons situation worsens because of a situation that could have been prevented I'll file a suit as well.
I was here visiting my mom I had problems with a dental procedure I had done the day before at state. The wait was absolutely terrible over 4 1/2 hours and that was just to get in the back and then I had to wait some more. No one talk to me or kept me updated on how long it was going to be. No one offered me an ice pack or even a cup of water. Not until I went and threw a fit About it. after all the waiting they would do nothing for me. Said that I needed to see a dentist. Well duh But it's the weekend and you can't get any dentist to see you! I left in as much pain as I went in and I really hope I never have to go to the hospital ever again. And I'm sure there will be a huge bill to go along with the absolute nothing that they did for me.... if you have something majorly wrong try your best to get to another hospital.
This place is only qualified to put a bandaid on you. If you have anything other than a scrape on your knee you better not go there
Got misdiagnosed here, my gallbladder removed by surgeon Jon Thompson who blatantly lied about the risks and damaged my stomach. Nothing was wrong with my gallbladder. Stay away if you value your life.

I visited this hospital for a severe throat swelling issue. My tongue, tonsils, and gums were extremely swollen and I felt as if I had a knot in my throat and couldn t breath well at all. I also complained about chest pain. They didn t run any blood test, x rays or anything. They just said I had a virus and gave me mouthwash and sent me out... they never even swabbed my throat. They said if the chocking feeling didn t go away in one week I need to go follow up with a doctor. I just felt uncared for and was stuck in the waiting room for 4 hours... don t waste your time coming here.
Thank God for emergency medical care close to where you live.
I visited the ED on Monday for lower back pain. My primary physician was closed for the week and the pain was so bad it was unbearable. My primary physician usually gives me a steroid shot in my SI joint which takes care of things. This time I had pain radiating down my leg. On the plus side I was seen very quickly and the nurses were very considerate. The ED physician ordered a shot for inflammation and prescribed oral steroids and narcotics for the pain. When I asked about getting the steroid shot in my SI joint like my primary physician does he said they didn t do that in the emergency department. Needless to say I was shocked and disappointed in the fact they would rather give narcotics than actually treat the problem. I am still confused about this.
If I could give a 0, I definitely would. This hospital is absolutely horrible, not only was I there for 5 hours in excruciating pain, the nurse only came in once and took no vitals. I got stuck 5 times with them fishing for my veins and then they took blood but didn't even test the blood to see why I was in so much pain and left the dirty needle and my blood on the counter the whole time I was there. There was dried up blood on the floor, the pager, and the counter which wasn't mine. The list goes on..
This hospital's emergency dept is a joke. To make people who are already hurting/sick and afraid wait for hours upon hours to be seen is absolutely irresponsible. At least the board members are able to put a little more coin in their pockets with what they save in understaffing the ER
Absolutely ridiculous....when we arrived ppl had been there for 3 or 4 hours a nurse came out and said sorry but it could be a few more hours before you can be taken back. Went to Caldwell memorial and he's had xrays medicine and seen the dr in less than an hour and we're otw home...
TERRIBLE SERVICE, SUPER DUPER LONG WAITS, IF FLU SEASON WON'T LET KIDS 12 AND UNDER BACK THEIR NOT EVEN WITH PARENTS.THESE PEOPLE WHO MADE THAT A RULE I DONT LIKE THEM. I WISH I WAS 18.AND THE CREEPY WORKER-PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK WHO THOUGHT THEY KNEW MY AGE EVEN IF I WAS 14 THEY WOULDN'T HAVE LET ME BACK THEIR WITH MY MOM FROM A DARNABIN GUESSTIMATION ON MY AGE. I CAN'T WAIT TILL I GO THROUGH COLLEGE HA THEY AINT GONNA LIKE ME.
My name is James Wyatt and I think this so called hospital is just about the good old American dollar...the ER doctors and staff are arrogant ,overbearing and rude...not to mention uncaring.I don't think they are qualified to treat a sick cow.The most unprofessional ,uncaring people and a disgrace and embarrassment to the medical professional!
