The best resort!! Has a lot to offer for the whole family
Beautiful place for family outing
I really like this place simply superb
Everythings as you expect. Crowded rooms, crowded hallways, crowded waterpark. Boyfriend and I left from the rudeness and how over crowded the place was. Got a different hotel for the night. Friends stayed in the room so at least they enjoy it. Not my cup of tea.
Purchased attractions bands for kids and lots of the rides were not even open nor kids can play because of restrictions. Could have explained this at the time purchase instead of charging full price
Golfed at Wild Rock. Great course layout. I wish they would have let us know that the greens were JUST punched and sanded.
Good resort, showing it s age a little in a couple of the water parks. The newest outdoor water park was excellent, good food and friendly employees.
Good hotel, but crowded indoor water park on a holiday weekend so choose dates carefully if you go in winter.
Place is very crowded but it's a lot of fun. People are friendly and the rooms are clean but they could use an update.
It was awesome went with my mom and grandma wave pool was so much fun I went last year and I am either going on July or August with my godmother and her kids so excited to go again it was very nice the room was nice and neat and bathroom was nice and living room too!
Nice place, great for a couple of days only in my opinion. Stood for 4 days, kinda got bored. Spent more time in the cabin and driving around. Love the cabin though.
This is our 6th time here in the past 4 years, each time has been in the fall or spring. My kids (6 & 8 yr olds) love this place. We let them choose vacation because they are only little once and it is always here they choose. It can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. I prefer the villas because of privacy and the abundance of space but the hotels are nice also.
This was a perfect place. Room were clean staff was polite. Their was alot of stuff to do with a 4yr 6yr and 9yr old. Will visit again.
Its very clean and has a great assortment of things to do with your whole family.
Great place. Wish the front desk would send people with items requested. Asked for silverware and front desk said we had to locate it ourselves.
They have 4 indoor water parks and 4 outdoor water parks. We love going back and forth to them all. I love that only guests can use the water parks.
We go every year for a family trip!! Love it!! There is something for all ages to do!!
My family stayed in a villa and everything was great. The villa was clean and well appointed and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would recommend it to others and will be back.
We rented a cabin last weekend. Once we checked in the cabin had gold confetti throughout the house and on the deck. When we tried using the jacuzzi bath tub the jets would not stay on by themselves but also had black chunks come out into the water. When we moved the nets a little there was a ring of mold around them. We checked out at 10:15 Sunday morning and started driving home due to a snow storm. After an hour I realized I left my swimsuit in the cabin. I called and left a listing on the lost and found page. A lady called me and was BEYOND RUDE saying she s not sending anyone over there because it s not a valuable item like a diamond ring and house keeping wouldn t be making a special trip to grab it even though I gave them the exact location in the room of the swimsuit (mind you it s an expensive Victoria secret one) I never heard back that day so I waited until Tuesday and called and requested to speak to a manager which told me my swimsuit was never found in the room. It now has been a week since we left and they have not found or reached out to me letting me know they recovered the item that I gave them the EXACT location to that it was in the master bathroom. I understand I left it there on accident but when I called knowing the next check ins are at 4 and that it would be cleaned I just don t understand how they magically couldn t find my missing item or why the lady had to be rude and not care about others items at all.
We just left there and I'm very upset. We've been coming here for years and I thought it would be a good idea for my son's birthday to come here and get away. Well apparently it was everyone else's Idea too. I understand you're trying to make your money back after the closure but there should have been a capacity limit of like 50%. This place was at 100% capacity and no social distancing at all. Water parks were crammed so tight there was no room in the pools everyone was on top of each other. The first night we got there there was literally a family of 40 people ( my kids and I counted them walking in). We didn't get to enjoy a lot of the waterpark because it was just to crammed with people. We paid higher prices than normal not to be able to enjoy what we came for. Very disappointed.
Nice place. The condo exceeded our expectations. Water park was really crowded. Food and beverages were very expensive. Best time to visit is during the week.
Very disappointed. Had groups of teenagers running and yelling up and down the hallway's at 2 am.
We always have a great time at the Wilderness. The key is to stay in the condo's. Excellent shuttle service.
We participated in a Halloween special, 2 nights. Special amenities like horse drawn cart ride, pumpkin patch, cookie decorating, and trick or treat. It can be a bit spendy with the arcades, candy shops, and attractions like Take Flight, Escape Rooms, and the Fun Pass but you never really have to leave the hotel. The staff was fabulous. There are three indoor water parks available year round. They could be a little more clear in what the water parks offer so you don't have to go there and find out your kids hate it. A good way to spend our 15 year anniversary with our kids, who wouldn't be here if it wasn't.
So much to do here! It is very busy and very strong chlorine smell.
Rooms are good size and clean. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great time to get away.
Only suggestion is maybe more chairs and tables around the pool areas.
On a quick trip with the family. Great indoor water parks with stuff for kids and adults. Only issue is that for some reason the heat seemed to be turned off for the water in one building and it was cold
Great waterpark, enough areas for teens and adults, separate waterpark for younger kids.
amazing resort, good safe place, always something to do, courteous staff
Crazy cool place. Best wood carved bears Iever saw.
This is the clear choice when visiting the dells. Many people ask how can you really go wrong when selecting a resort in the dells? I'll tell you. By not lodging and vacationing here. That would be such a mistake. I met a charming individual named Gerry just this afternoon in the swim up bar. He helped me find my pocket, that of which I had clumsily misplaced.
Nice place, we were in the condos (which were beautiful) so I can't speak to the hotel.
Amazing resort and shuttle. Very clean and calm. Jacuzzi was great!!!
Friendly staff. Family friendly resort. Water parks both indoor and outdoor on the property with shuttle bus service to get you around the resort and it's free.
Had a blast with my family will definitely be back again next year.
I go to the wilderness every summer in July with my family. I love the hotel it s my favorite place to stay, my brother and I have so much fun just being at the wilderness and playing in the waterpark and going out for activities and everything you can do there! Java Stop is amazing restaurants are amazing as well!! I love the wilderness and we will definitely be back for summer break! Can t wait!!
I was exhausted for my own wedding because guests were screaming And arguing in the hallways and slamming doors at 2am-4am. And the night of our wedding people were partying on our patio and puking on my inlaws patio where my kids were staying. We also had people keep randomly knocking on our door because they thought they were funny. I also was disappointed with how tight the tables were together. Definitely not 6 feet apart. Most people not wearing masks
Everything is perfect! Cold outside nice and warm inside
Pleasant place to be, lots of water attractions and other fun stuff on site. If you can, get rooms that don't overlook the parking lots as they can be quite noisy even late.
Wonderful, I love it here! We decided to stay an extra day cause we couldn't get to all the attractions in two days
I used to enjoy taking the kids here in the past but Iw was so disappointed during my last visit this past weekend. 1. Add more tables and chair...at the cost person per night, I shouldn't have to sit on the floor. 2. Clean more, especially the wave pool...it was absolutely disgusting. 3. Hire servers...again, if you want to charge premium prices then you need to provide premium service. I gave you two stars because Wilderness Resort definitely has potential but needs work.
Great time all around. Close to everything. So much variety to choose from. Always a great family time there.
Fun for kids...drinks over priced for adults who need them.
There is alot of upkeep that needs to be done. I've been going here for years. But, I see a real decline in the walls and outside.
Decent sized rooms. If you expect to eat in your rooms alot get one with a wet bar otherwise you'll run out if space. This resort is huge. It takes a good ten minutes to walk from one lobby to the other depending on your kids. The pools are lots of fun though some of the equipment definitely needs to be upgraded. Our kids had a blast. Though the kiddy pool on the wild west area is way too cold for lil ones. The wave pool is awesome and the ambiance was by far the best of all the pools. Foodwise most of the offerings are ok but the Thirsty Buffalo and the saloon are the best that are attached. The saloon has a quinoa bowl that's amazing.
WARNING! The Wyndham Club people will pull you aside after check in. This is not just looking at rooms they are trying to sell you on a timeshare. It is a good deal but it's a two hour presentation. They told us that there was childcare but when we got there they said no kids who aren't potty trained. So we had to drag our son out of the room crying. We were eventually brought back into the playroom to go through the rest of the presentation because we couldn't get our son to settle down and the rest went fairly well though i was really disappointed that they did not tell us that it was going to be a timeshare presentation.
So much fun! Great rooms and lots to do without being crowded inside and out!
Always wanted to check this place out and finally made a mid week trip. Room was not clean. Dirty mirrors. Dirty floor. Coffee maker still had old coffee with mold floating on top. Found some belongings left behind from previous guest. Water parks are spread out and some are a bit of a hike. Also, some if them close pretty early with the only one staying open til 10 being the wave pool. Staff was friendly, but we came across some language barrier issues more than once. Everything is super expensive, as I expected, but they really nickle and dime you to death. Bought 3 candy bars and it was around $8. Breakfast buffet was ok. I will probably check out other properties before returning to the Wilderness. It was pretty average, and that's ok, but the dirty room is unacceptable.
Great family vacation in the winter, everything in one place
They try to scam you with a timeshare pitch right near the entrance, I can t believe they allow it. The clerk Jill will lie right to your face to get you to their 4 hour presentation
Great place. Must be filled with kids that have not parents. Do the kids ever stop running and stomping though the halls and sky ways? I recommend not staying on lower levels and near exits. Nothing but a thunderous stomp of kids starting at 7am
Love this place im a wyndham time share holder with all amendment it the wilderness!! A++
It was really fun and my family and I enjoyed it very much especially all the slides and the different water parks
I have visited this resort as a family and on business. In both experiences, the staff were friendly and helpful and facility upkeep is great!
Currently staying here right now. Called 3 months in advance for my whole family to come asking for rooms that connect, & were told that would be okay. Once we got to our room there were no doors that connect our rooms. When we called to see if it could be fixed since thats what we paid for (otherwise would have gone to Kalahari) we were told they wont do anything and we couldnt speak to anybody else about this matter (also was very rude and short with us). Now lets fast forward to when I went to the bathroom and there is a smooshed fly on the wall. Did somebody thoroughly clean the room? IDK but now I am double checking everything cause it sketched me out. Wish the staff was willing to listen and help. Now I remember why it took me nearly 6 years to come back and I visit the dells every year.
UPDATE: Clayton the Hotel Resort Manager was very helpful in our situation and made us feel like he cares about his guests. Thank you for hearing us out!!!
Wave pool was really fun and the rooms were clean and safe.
Six water parks at one resort!! Be sure to plan your trip accordingly. There is some walking between the different pools so be aware of that. We spent a lot of time at the indoor wave pool, and I probably would have rented a Cabana for the family. They don't allow outside food to be brought in so be aware of that.
One of the best family getaways!!! Just a short 3 hour drive
I had so much fun here. The lines were short and there was a lot to do
Always love this resort! The chef and wait staff Tori at the Survivors cafe are the best! The Wyndham owners units are great. Always clean and spacious. We love our annual trip to the Wilderness resort. We will definitely be back again next year.
This Place is so cool, the Eats at the indoor water parks are a bit pricey. It is so much to do for all ages. We will definitely be back for a week! The bad thing was receiving a phone call inviting me to go on a tour; promising arcade tokens and dining credits; only to end up not being able to go because of my address?
I love going here. There is always a lot to do. It's great for families with kids of all ages.
We look forward to coming here every winter to the sun done to shake off the winter blues.
Great variety of water parks, nice to visit when the outdoor parks were open. Friendly staff, good value
We were here less than a year ago. The restaurant has been changed completely. It cost $70 for 3 adults and 2 kids under 10 to eat. All of the food was cold and average at best. Maybe its the 20 employees working the morning shift that drives the cost. Maybe not. My wife went out for some milk last night. $8 for 4 small cartons. The internal pricing was the reason we came back. Wont make that mistake again
Honestly a great Waterpark. Reset my expectations of what an indoor Waterpark could be.
