My husband and I golfed the Golf course in April 2021. I have never golfed a course with such disrespectful maintenance staff. Our tee time was at 8am and it felt like there were disruptions by maintenance staff on more holes than not. 2 holes we had to wait for the sprinklers to be shut off before proceeding. Several other holes they were working on the bunkers (Weed-whacking and using leaf blowers) that left clouds of dust on the whole course, that led us to cough it was so prominent. They were in the middle of the fairway as we were trying to tee off and they paid no attention to us after we tried to wait for them to move out of the way. The dust clouds they were making were so I had to move my ball 50+ yards away from where it landed (in the fairway) to avoid the sand in the air. I have golfed a lot and never run into this type of disrespect for players by landscape staff. In fact, during the whole round there was aroma of fuel/oil from the use of so many machines. It was not a crowded day at the course, so we don't understand why they couldn't have paused to let us through or moved to a different area of the course. Will not be visiting again and will recommended to everyone that they avoid this course.

A lot of bare areas in the fairways of the Gold course. A couple spotty issues on some greens (which are firm but slow). Love the layout, course is very challenging and staff was excellent. Pace of play right at 4 hours. You get what you pay for here ($60 to play). If you re looking for a better experience, you re going to have to pay more. 3 stars for fairway conditions.

This resort is a hidden gem. We came to the spa a few weeks ago and wanted to try out the hotel and restaurants. First off - the staff is excellent - this may be a four star hotel - but the staff is five star! David at the front desk and Alex, our valet and bellman were both excellent ambassadors of the hotel and were the perfect duo to set the tone for our stay! Our initial room was in building 7B and we later learned was in the older part of the hotel (which has not been renovated) - the older part of the hotel I would rate at 3 star - but the rooms were still nice - just older! We switched rooms because my sister found a spider on her bed and was afraid there would be a spider family in the room. We were upgraded to the Oasis portion of the hotel - which is the newer renovated part. BIG difference. The rooms are much nicer. Actually really glad there was a spider now because changing rooms made all the difference! Tower pool gets very crowded with children and families. Get there early to claim a chair! Also there is a height requirement for the slide so if you have little ones - just be aware of that. I ordered lunch twice at the tower pool and it was very good both times. Ambiance outside at the Wigwam Bar was very nice - live music - string lights - but the food just did not measure up. Dessert was very good though - so if you wanted to just have a chill night at a fire pit table and listen to music then you re in business. I would not recommend the restaurant at the bar. We tried it again at breakfast and it was very bad. I would rate the food at a 1 star sadly. This is not the same as Litchfields restaurant which I am told is very nice - more upscale and better food. we never ended up trying that restaurant. The Oasis Pool is very nice - it is adult only and very peaceful - much different feel than Tower pool. The fitness center was amazing. They have every piece of equipment everything you could think of! The decor and feel of the property is just lovely. I will be coming back here. It reminds me of La Costa resort in Carlsbad California. Very similar feel. Next time we will get a golf and tennis package. I recommend!

Amazing facility, fair prices and a great staff. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Played the blue course and it was phenomenal. Rented clubs that were top of the line and even got free balls with the club rental. This place knows how to do things the right way for sure.

It is like returning to the fifties, the rooms are comfortable and yet simple. The golf courses are in no way crowded. The pool is nice, while the bocce ball courts are not groomed.

Staff have been super friendly!!

As a rewards member, I've been playing the Wigwam Golf Club's courses for many years. Yesterday's conditions were different than I remember them ever being.

The Red course is my favorite by far, but the greens were less than what I'd expect from a nearly $100 round of golf. I could barely get my metal divot tool into the surface of the green, much less find a single ball mark on any of the greens. Short irons were literally bouncing into the air off the green and soaring over. My buddies ball even bounced into the air out of a bunker and landed on the green, point being there was no measurable amount of sand present.

Disappointed to say the least, especially considering I really do love this course layout. It's going to be awhile till I'm back out there. I'll change / update this review if and when the conditions improve. The greens need to be aerated and sanded badly, and the bunkers need to be filled. Also, please stop cutting the cups on hillsides. There were two holes yesterday where it was almost impossible to keep the ball near the hole because of the conditions of the greens.

Old school historic resort. Beautiful grounds. Oasis in the desert. Nice to stay in hotel that's not cookie cutter. Has a world class golf course. Several restaurants, good service. Also has a conference center.

Ever go to a movie that you were told was going to be a good movie, but it turns out to be fantastic? Take that experience and multiply it by ten and then experience it at a resort destination instead of a film. Friendlest staff I have ever seen. From the moment you walk it, they make you feel like the most important person in the world. This resort was personally design for you. If you love golf, the "if you can hit the ball straight" fairways will have you ball run an extra 20-30 yards off the tee. I need that. The greens are super soft though and hold the floppy shots well without requiring tons of extra spin....loved em! The kids had a blast at the pool, waterslides! Wife had a great time at the spa, facial and massage treatments! I don't know which one came back to the room happier. There is lots of grass all around the resort to keep it nice and cool.... beautiful too. We came during spring training and we will be coming back next year for a longer stay thanks to the staff and classic Arizona hospitality offered by everyone at The Wigwam.

Worst golf course in the the valley. All three course are the worst shape from tee to green. The rye grass has died off and the bermuda grass never came in. The fairways are soft dirt and the greens will not hold an incoming shot.
