Our fourth stay at Villa Cora in five years and there are many reasons we keep coming back! It's beautifully Tuscan and brimming with Florentine charm! It's an easy walk to the city's sights of ab even easier journey in the hotek's free shuttle bus. The staff are warm & friendly, making it easy for you to relax and feel at home. My wife is pregnant and the restaurant staff were excellent helping her navigated what food she can and can't eat from the menu. The food we ate was Italian at it's best! The hotel has so many nucks & crannies to explore: the roof terrace, the cigar room, the spa, the gardens and so on! In fact there's too much to do with a one night stay, so try and stay for as long as you can!

Elegant but not too formal restaurant, with attentive and attentive but not intrusive service. You eat by the pool, which is truly spectacular. Tasty and light cuisine, with refined dishes but not spoiled by improbable combinations. All excellent, from appetizer to dessert.

We spent a dream evening with a sparkling dinner like champagne and the excellent wine that accompanied us throughout the evening, the service is impeccable but at the same time very attentive and their presence is imperceptible.
I will be happy to be able to return soon.

Wonderful Villa built in 1868, a gift of love from the German baron Gustave Oppenheim to the princess Eugenia, widow of Napoleon III.
On the top floor of the main building there is a terrace where numerous events are organized in summer and which offers a breathtaking view of the city. Equipped with a spa that is accessible even if you are not a hotel guest; there is the outdoor pool, the only one in all of Florence open all year.
Poolside aperitifs. Thursdays pizza and champagne.

We stayed in villa Cora for 6 days. It s my first time LOST something in the 5 stars hotel. first night I put a PAIR of Chanel earrings on the desk next to the bed , after the clean lady ( or someone who took breakfast away) came next day it s GONE.

And there s a staff just told me you should keep your stuffs in the safer. (yes, I should have but I never thought that would happen in a 5 stars hotel )
They also told me go to the police officer ( but nothing will help to get them back , plus I have only few days left in Florence. )
I checked all my luggage also everywhere in the room over and over again

after We left the hotel also found out I have a new PRADA small travel bag has gone as well ( which I left in my room )

Villa Cora is a beautiful place and workers there have nice attitude but that kind of thing happens is UNBELIEVABLE and makes me SPEECHLESS ( no one solve the problem)
worst experience in Italy.

Worth every penny. It's not cheap but the extras included (wellness room [sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, aromatherapy shower] private transfer to/from the city, free ice cream by the pool, incredible coffee, amazing breakfast) and most importantly the outstanding service from the staff are worth it. I've never been treated so well in my life. This is better treatment then the Ritz or...when you need medical attention at the hospital. I cannot say enough nice things about this grand Villa / hotel.

Gorgeous hotel. Real boutique small 60 room property located about 10 minutes from the old town. Beautiful pool, small nice restaurant. Great breakfast. Also good bar and cigar room. The service is the best you can imagine in this 5 star hotel. Very private and professional. Rooms are beautiful, not spacious but well equipped and they come 2-3 times a day to clean and make the beds. Superb. Pricy but worth every Euro

We enjoyed our stay. The staff caters to your needs. Although the buffet breakfast looked divine, it was too much food, so we asked if we could just have a cappuccino and bread. The staff brought us a basket of bread and the best cappuccino! We definitely enjoyed our stay and if we ever return to Florence, we'll stay at the Villa Cora. I would highly recommend the Villa Cora if you want to relax, be pampered and out of the downtown hustle and bustle of Venice. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown area, which we enjoyed and enabled us to walk off our breakfast!.

Stunning venue, the ballroom is amazing and the breakfast fabulous. The pool is lovely as are the views. The rooms are dated and the pizza and champagne night was overly expensive. But overall fabulous

First of all, I would absolutely NOT recommend sta...

First of all, I would absolutely NOT recommend staying at this hotel or having a wedding there. I stayed 2 nights at this hotel in January 2020 before the lockdown in Italy began. I was with my fiance as a special trip, because we had chosen the hotel as our destination wedding venue and wanted to check it out before the wedding. We paid a deposit of a couple thousand euros in November of last year for the wedding. Regarding our stay there, I would say the hotel's services are completely mediocre and sub-quality given the price. I've travelled many places around the world and have stayed at numerous luxury hotels and my stay here was very disappointing, even when I had been slightly biased in a positive direction since I had already committed to holding my wedding there. First, the rooms' walls are extremely thin. Because the hotel itself is an old building, you can hear the footsteps above and the faucet sounds from your neighbors taking a shower at all times of the night. On the second day, I had to move rooms to a more remote part of the hotel because I barely got any sleep on the night before and I'm not even a sensitive sleeper. Second, the hotel is very far from city center of Florence by walk which the hotel downplays in its marketing efforts. Third, there's a lot ambient noise of traffic when you are sitting outside since street with heavy traffic wraps 360 degrees around the hotel. What's most egregious of this hotel is what followed our stay. It REFUSED to give us back any of our deposit which amounted to a couple thousand euros, when we wrote to them saying that our destination wedding for this summer would have to be cancelled. We wrote the week that the entire country of Italy including the hotel went under a strict lockdown. We wanted to give them an early heads up as a way of acting responsibly. As Americans, we also faced months of indefinite lockdown due to the pandemic (which is still ongoing at this moment) and we knew that our guests from all over the world would not be able to make travel plans to attend our wedding given the severity of the situation and the travel bans in multiple of the world. Although the hotel admitted that it is indeed a horrible situation and that they themselves would not be able to guarantee holding our wedding, they still refused to give us back our deposit. We have been back and forth with the hotel many times and even escalated it to their general manager, Vanessa, but the hotel has outright refused to give us our deposit back. I couldn't believe a hotel of this caliber would conduct such unethical business practices of fraud at a time when the whole world is suffering. We, too, are disappointed that our dream wedding will no longer happen. This was out of our control but we took swift necessary measures to communicate the inevitable cancellation to our guests and wedding vendors. All the other wedding vendors including our photographer, videographer, florist, and performers were all understanding and they gave us back 100% of our deposit. They did so, not necessarily because they were legally obliged to, but because they have the decency and professional manner of not taking customers' money when they know they cannot even deliver on the promise of rendering the service. Villa Cora, obviously, is an outlier in their unprofessional and unethical behavior! This is unacceptable for a hotel that markets itself as a luxury hotel of high caliber and charges a rate like they do. Their actions prove that they are an absolute fraud. No respectable hotel acts in this manner and take advantage of couples and guests who are all hurting by the unfortunate situation of the pandemic. Shame on you, Villa Cora! I hope everyone doesn't make the same mistakes I did and think twice before staying here, there any plenty of nicer hotels in Italy at this price!!!

The location has no equal. The dining room service is excellent. Masterpieces come out of the kitchen. The price is right for all this. There is nothing else to add but a compliment to the Lino head room.

We had our wedding at Villa Cora and stayed for 6 nights. All the utterly charming staff, from reception, spa, restaurants, shuttle bus, housekeeping, and in particular the fabulous Clarissa from events, made our wedding and our stay a dream and even when things didn't go according to plan, they were amazing. Yes, the hotel is jaw droppingly beautiful and luxurious in every way but it is the staff who make it extra special. It's always nice to see the same staff as well! Thank you Villa Cora, we cannot wait to come back!

Immaculate surroundings, a few minor points and why I cant give five stars would be that there was no actual shower in thw deluxe room. There was a shower head in the bath tub but you couldn't stand for a shower. The bath is quite deep so this may not be suitable for all guests. The room itself was surprisingly small for a deluxe but the balcony was lovely. Food and service generally good. The breakfast buffet is not worth 35e per guest, do not choose this option if you dont have breakfast included in the room bill. Also we expected dinner in the beautiful older rooms of the main building as it says on the website for winter months but we were at the pool restaurant. It wasnt that busy so dont know why that was.

Nice property about 15 minute walk from Giardina di Boboli and 30 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio. The hotel has a free shuttle to get you to anywhere you want in the city, and also pick you up, but you may need to wait 20 minutes for it. Breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are beautiful.

My wife and I and another couple stayed 6 nights the end of September 2015. It is a 6 star in my opinion. The service wasexcellent and the accommodations are outstanding. My wife wanted to take the sheets home! From the Bell staff, the food and beverage staff to the young man at the pool, our stay was as good as it gets. We would go back in a heartbeat and probably will. If you want to visit Tuscany and Florence this is the number one place to stay.

5 star luxury .... not only as an evaluation !!! Absolutely enchanting, from the lobby you understand that it is a wonderful place. Large rooms, well-kept and up to expectations!
Challenging furnishings and finishes, but never vulgar or gaudy, always friendly staff without being intrusive! The spa also accessible from a subterranean tunnel is beautiful, complete even if a little small. The view from the panoramic terrace is absolutely enchanting .. certain emotions are difficult to describe in words, they must be lived !!

Because it was the stage of a certain movie, I visited by using a restaurant. I used a taxi from Santa Maria Novella Station because it is in the suburbs. On the way back I went to Piazzale Michelangelo on foot. One glass of wine for one pasta at the restaurant. As expected, there was only a five-star restaurant and even a glass of glass cost me around 20 , but it was a good memorial. I want to stay someday.
