The downtown Whole Foods is a sight to behold. It's very roomy, has a great selection, and has tons of food you can order and eat right there in the store for a yummy lunch. The underground parking garage has a lighting system indicating where parking is available, so it's no trouble to find a spot even though your right downtown. Walking around you can get lots of samples of items to try out, and overall the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Really it's everything you could want in a grocery store.

The Immune Boost juice gave me life when I was sick....or I just thrived on the spiciness. Seriously the best juice combo I've experienced. Wonderful Whole Foods location and I particularly enjoy the juice bar aspect.

Having being to a few Whole Foods in Houston, TX, I found this one in Austin to be nicer and a bit more selections. The "restaurant" section had more to offer.
Workers were friendly and helpful too.

I don t live downtown but I still find myself shopping here. During the winter they have ice skating. The food selection is the best of all the other supermarkets in my opinion. It s a very laid back casual atmosphere with the best food from all over the world. I remember visiting the first original Whole Foods it used to be across the street from Waterloo records.

One of my favorite places in Austin. Yes, it's a grocery store, but it's so much more. This is a great place to stop for a meal. They have a wide variety of items on their hot buffet bar... Meats, sides, a salad bar, soups. It's not cheap, but it is delicious. Grab a kombucha beverage or an organic chai spice tea, checkout, and then head outside to their amazing patio. Eat at leisure, watch the traffic go by, passerby dancing and singing down the street, and just bask in Austin's awesomeness.

The food court here is great and has a good selection not only of the hot food bar and salad bar, but also various shops with a good variety of cuisines. If you come in a good day there might even be a dim sum cart!

Good place for lunch but it does get crowded.

It's an institution, and it's great. All the inside restaurants, from BBQ to ramen, it's all good. You can even buy a six pack, and then drink it there. Sure everything is pricy, but it is what it is. Good bulk tea.

This is probably the biggest place you are able to find if you are looking for organic and natural food. It is overwhelming at first but you'll find your way around soon. Grab your lunch or dinner right from here, fresh made - organic! Or shop till you drop.

It is so impressive I have never seen such things, nor could I imagine that such a place exists. everything you can have in your mind, this you can find and you can eat in this place. The service is fast and it is very simple. The cumin is delicious and the price is absolutely reasonable.

I was visiting from Australia and working locally. This place was the perfect spot for lunch each day: healthy, varied and tasty. While I did not explore too far, their coffee was also rather good and the staff, throughout the shop, were always friendly and helpful. Indeed, I had to buy a bottle of wine for New Zealand wine for a colleague. Having little to no knowledge of the Australasian wines stocked here, a member of staff here was very patient and detailed in helping me choose, what turned out to be, a delicious wine.

As unbelievable as it sounds, these people are in league with Satan himself. Do not be fooled by the pretty makeup. Don't misunderstand me, the food, as overpriced as it is, tastes yummy. The displays are pretty. However, they pay their employees as little as possible in spite of all the money they have. They like to say they are socially responsible and and ethical, but actually give nothing back to the community. They are pure evil. Do not be deceived. Do not go there. Central Market is a much better alternative.

As a frequent visitor to Austin, I always make a visit to Whole Foods on Lamar before my return home. The varied selections of everything qualifies this as a 'stocking' trip. Carrying my bags in doesn't get stares; friendly, helpful personnel is a plus.

Many of the food areas are wonderful. Just one important tip- their "hot" prepared packaged breakfasts are terrible. The tacos, kolache, breakfast sandwich- fast food level quality and soggy/cold. Just skip that you'll be happy! This low quality is not the same at Whole Foods Gateway who makes awesome breakfast and baked goods so I'm not sure why this one is so yuck.

I'm also bitter they raised the price of the cortado to 3 bucks. First world problems, I know.

Welcome to the mecca of liberal pseudoscience in the United States of America! This flagship Whole Foods is enormous and absolutely packed with groceries that will quickly exhaust all your monies. The parking lot is a technological wonder with each and every spot monitored for occupancy. They have a freaking ice-rink on the roof during the season Austin claims to be "winter." There is even a walk-in beer refrigerator, which is pretty much the only place I ever go when I come here. The vast selection of beers and wines is wonderfully supported by the staff's knowledge of their beverage holdings.

As a Whole Foods connoisseur, this store puts all others to shame. I guess that's to be expected, as this is the first, though reincarnated from the original smaller location. Parking can be hard to find due to the popularity of this store, though it is available to all in the building's garage.

For anybody looking for a quality source for food and healthy living products, this is the place to come.

Overrated, weird. The people who staff this store look grimy & dank, lots of unwashed hair which in food purveyor is perplexing to the very least. Staff is also creepily anglo dominant which gives me pause. I've had to return several corked wines, and prepared foods which tasted off. I think that low quality and low class is the recurring theme at this rapidly declining business. The fish rots from the head they say, and I definitely smelled that something was/ is off at this dreadful place. Disappionting.

This place is not only a supermarket, but also one of my favorite date spots! I love swinging by on a dull weeknight to grab a delicious dinner at one of their many restaurants, try a new bottle of wine, and pick up some organic TP.

***The fish market is my favorite spot to dine, they cook fish better than any other spot in ATX!
