The staff, the place, and the products are great, but quite pricey!
this location in specific might feel a little crammed, but they're about to move across the street into a bigger space.

Cheese counter people seemed scatchy to me...Stilton being sold as St. Etienne cheese....absolutely ridiculous.....can you get your staff trained?
Can't wait to see what the new one looks like when it's done
Love the lower prices but I miss the old place on School & Ashland.
Good quality groceries and other products. Love the bar where we always have hot food to order from. Great choices of food and drinks available.
Just like any other Whole Foods, but it is new, large, and the people seem friendly.
Great organic food market from drinks to pastries and salad bar to soups. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I come to this location for lunch sometimes with co workers and sometimes alone and I love it.
Clean, spacious and one of the best whole foods markets in the city
It's ok for a quick shop.
Parking is a challenge.
Great gluten free / vegan cupcake selection! And indoor parking!
I use to like this whole foods but now there sold out of the items I buy most weeks.
In a nut shell this store is understaffed and depending on what time of day, you may have to wait 12 minutes in the EXPRESS line. Most of the time you will find yourself bagging your own groceries because the cashier is working alone. It has been this way ever since Amazon bought them. I am now an even bigger fan of Trader Joe s where the staff is very friendly and courteous, unlike Whole Foods. Also one star is too high of a rating for WF.
All the staff I asked for assistance were professional and pleased to help out! Great shopping experience! Thank You! :)
This Whole Foods location isn't quite as expansive as the like none before store in Lincoln Park but they still offer an impressive selection and if you shop the 365 value WF brands you can get good deals. Extensive samples throughout the store and some of the best deli selection in town. A solid selection of beer and wine too.
It's a gigantic Whole Foods with parking and nearly endless options, a bar, wonderful hot food selection, and a roastery. What's not to like?
What can you say about Whole Foods that hasn't been said already? Yes, it's more expensive than other supermarkets--but you get what you pay for. Food quality is superb, including freshly prepared food. (I'm originally from Europe, where we acknowledge that this is a worthwhile trade off.) They should pay their staff more, of course, including allowing a union. But during this pandemic, Whole Foods is also the store that I trust more than others here in Chicago to offer a cleaner and safer environment.
I really like this Whole Foods location. The coffee shop on the first floor serves up some of the best craft coffee in Chicago. The upstairs store is spacious and has a wide variety of groceries to meet any shopping needs. I personally enjoy that they offer an assortment of beers and wines. And while it does stink to have to wait in line to enter, I am glad the staff is taking necessary precautions during the pandemic.
Great place for prepared foods, the prices on the salad bar and fresh breads aren t actually that bad. The grocery products are outrageously priced. The cashiers move very quickly which is great because the lines are often very long! Everyone I ve talked to who is working is always very nice and helpful.
nice clean store. staff not as knowledgeable since amazon took over but this one still has a nice variety of things at least. whole foods is the only place that has organic buns. I'm not a fab of whole foods anymore overall, but if you have to go to one, this one's the one to visit.
Why are we now expected to be Amazon Prime Members in order to get the best discounts!? I don't want Prime membership. I've shopped at Whole Foods for decades, it is not a cheap store -- all shoppers should get the same discount. Membership! This isn't Costco! Next, we will have to show an ID! And all those blue Prime signs they have placed up and down the aisles, it's starting to feel like Walmart. I'm going to try other grocery stores around Chicago, like Mariano's, and maybe revisit some old ones that are staring to carry larger variety of produce and more organic foods.
Great store lots of selection the produce section is smaller the produce section is smaller than other Whole Foods that I have been to. Very clean and their hot bar is probably twice the size but most Whole Foods I've been to. Free parking in the garage very convenient for City Life.
Beautiful new Whole Foods. A little pricey but that's not atypical
Clean grocery market with polite staff. Love their dry aged steak that is reasonably priced.
Went to get a Xmas tree Service was excellent.Tied tree on to car made it home with no problem
I like the way the store is laid out and I feel like there is more to choose from.
Broad, cheerful, little variety of dishes to eat.
It's richer and more varied at Whole Food Market Roosevelt.
Beautiful store, very nice staff, great food court.
Not sure what the hype is about. It's not that much different than other Whole Foods. Wider shopping aisles, that is about it.
This place is epic and has everything. It's a Whole Foods, so you know what you're getting, but it's even bigger and better than most.
Weird setup. You have to walk through a creepy garage to get into/out of the store. Every other WF I've been to has a normal front door you can use.
I needed help shopping for one item and the young man stopped what he was doing and walked me right to the item that I was looking for and the price was right.
So expensive and wish they weren't so pricey but I love their selection of various groceries.
Sometimes, in life, you need to eat. Sometimes, you go here. Bring money or credit, because if you want to buy anything, you'll need to pay for it, unless you're a rotten thief. In which case you suck.
Always a pleasure shopping there. I needed assistance finding 2 items and the staff was right on it. At checkout the line was slow and being observant, another staffer opened a line for me. Great customer service. Thank you, Whole Foods.
This place is awesome! They have such a huge variety of selections that I could have been there the whole day. I went to look for keto friendly foods and found a lot. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Huge! And now you can buy an Amazon Alexa right at the entrance or pick up your Amazon packages at the Amazon lockers.
Beautiful store with a ton of selection. Staff is super nice and helpful.
This is a big store is very clean and well stocked. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their 365 products are very reasonably priced.
Great selection of food and goods. Great deli, but no place to sit and eat.
It's much like other whole foods locations you've been to, but with much more whole foods per whole food.
This Whole Foods Market has everything you would ever need in a grocery store. The hot bar food assortment is extensive and always fresh. The fresh meat deli has some amazing and hard-to-find cuts. The liquor and wine selection is also great, and the store even includes its very own bar. The coffee shop downstairs always has unique blends and brews. You could honestly spend an entire day there and never get bored.
New whole foods with great cheese department and covered parking
Loads of samples of fruit, snacks and exquisite cured meat. Ailes were extremely neat, tidy and wide.
Personnel sooo helpful and huge supply of products. Aisles are wide and clean.
One of the best Whole Foods stores in the area. Huge store with ample parking space. Their produce is always of the highest quality and much better than other stores nearby (including other WFM stores). They also have a great bakery section with fresh breads.
Being a prime member is a bonus with multiple deals on grocery and produce items.
I don't come here to shop for food that much, considering that some of the prices are as high as you might think. What really attracts me is their version of Red Bar. They have 32 taps, and when a brewery has a tap takeover they go completely nuts in terms of sheer variety. There's also a grill if you want to drink as well as imbibe.
When the apocalypse comes, this is where I'll be drinkin' wines and bingeing on Galaga and Pacman.
Good organic foods, quick, easy Checkout and friendly employees.
Whole Foods staff and managers.
Thank you, it feels very comfortable to come in and do shopping in comfortable way.
Neighbors, nice to see everyone more eased and less tense then back in the days everyone show much more gratitude.
Politely,
Jan
I mean yeah. For overpriced fancy grocery stores, It's pretty good.
Absolutely beautiful store, huge selection, and great customer service.
#30daychallenge Lactose intolerance SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS. No pizza, no mozzarella sticks, no ice cream sundaes, blah blah blah. And please, spare me the sell on "cheeseless" pizza. That's a total oxymoron. Luckily I have the Lakeview Whole Foods to scratch this itch for a tall glass of cold milk thanks to the slew of non-dairy beverages and frozen desserts, on the market. Even better, the staff at Whole Foods completely understand the plight of the lactose-intolerant and have gone out of their way to make sure I know about the depth and breadth of options and alternatives. Coconut milk yogurt, soy egg nog, and vegan candy bars have been recommended by the Whole Foods staff, half the time without me even asking; they noticed my lack of dairy in my shopping cart and struck up a conversation. This is totally typical of the superlative customer service I have experienced time and time again at this location. The florist has whipped up gorgeous last-minute bouquets for me (Mother's Day tends to sneak up on me), they have pointed me in the right direction for herbs/vitamins/supplements, and are quick to offer samples and tastes when I wonder what the hell a quinoa-apple-tofu-vinegar salad tastes like (yummy, actually). Yeah, it's spendy, and yeah, I am probably a raving yuppie, but whatever. You keep your pizza, I will keep the awesome staff at the Lakeview Whole Foods.
Super friendly. Very clean
Parking lot
Cahier tried to encourage me to go to self check out rather than attending me. Meanwhile, another customer cut right in front and was attended immediately in the midst of our conversation. Followed by yet another customer that came right up behind me(no social distancing and no comment by cashier) and was immediately attended IN THE MIDST of my checkout! ALSO, with no recommendation to go to self check out as I had.....? I didn't feel welcome.
Not about speed, but about quality.(wasn't even a line or crowded)
The new store is so spacious and the fresh fruit so delicious!
Amazon is ruining whole foods. Love Prime but they aren't getting this right so far. Shelves sometimes empty. Cod not on sale during Lent. Problem with stocking items as they are losing many of their past suppliers due to onerous Amazon rules. Store was the emptiest I've ever seen it last 2 times I was there. Think people are shopping at Mariano's :)
Besides the hipsters, this is a great grocery store. Anyone aiming towards a healthier appetite should shop here. I love it. Give them your business!
Classic Whole Foods. It's so nice to have one so close to home!
Everything one needs in a one stop shop. I would spend it all everytime here. I agree with 4.4 stars at least, you know.
Now a tentacle of Amazon and prices went down! Why not merge with the Vatican next and repurpose a few churches?
Now that Amazon owns Whole Foods, might as well say "Game Over" capitalist greed, the ruling class of 1% and oligarchy has won. Goodbye small businesses it was nice for a little bit.
Beautiful location with indoor parking.I was looking for Dragon Fruit ,they said it was not in season.Found it at Vietnamese market on Argile and Broadway.
The newest and nicest Whole Foods on the planet! Awesome for lunch, with all the options. Great beer bar!
New location is one of the best Whole Foods builds I've seen.
Nice Whole Foods, have been shopping at the previous one since it b opened. Now at this new location, Great overall Staff. The Staff in the fish department are excellent
Bad ass whole foods. Two floors of parking. Everything else is pretty standard for whole foods, but they definitely have some nice floor space
Great selection, has a parking lot for easy access in and out as well
Fantastic choices and the best customer service ever.
