I love it is just way to expensive to buy stuff every day
Convenient location in River North with great selection and prices on par with similar local grocery stores like Plum Market. Standard Whole Foods, if you've been to one then you know what to expect.
Something like American Biosupermarket. The best part is the culinary self service offer! Choose your own and weigh it at the cashier. Finally healthy food in the USA :-)
Always a pleasure shopping at Whole Foods! Get very busy during certain hours and a smaller location.
When I went the halo top selection was low but still one of the only places to get it.
Can't find things very easy and checkout was really confusing.
I love Whole Foods! A place to eat well and healthy in the USA! It has self service restaurant with great food and options to buy several natural products! Wonderful!!!
I am posting my first negative review on Google Maps for Whole Foods in Chicago because I got violently sick from eating the prepared sushi there. Afterward, I reported the incident to Whole Foods customer service, which responded that they would forward my email to the appropriate department, and have not followed up in the past month. My family and I were visiting Chicago for the weekend from Philadelphia/New York. After a long weekend of deep dish pizza and eating out, we just wanted a break from oily, calorie-rich food, so we stopped by this location for dinner. I picked up some sushi, which I had hesitated on, but ended up getting and eating it because Whole Foods is a place that I trust to get the highest quality and freshest food available. Well, I was wrong - the next morning, I was violently sick and to make matters worse, my parents and I were flying home that morning, so I had to deal with it while traveling, which gives me unsettling flashbacks as I write this. (My mom and I ate the same exact things for 3 days except for this meal and she did not get sick). The most basic thing that I expect from Whole Foods, in addition to having premium quality food and providing an awesome shopping experience, is food safety and this basic requirement was not even met. Highly disappointed.
Excellent place to buy healthier and quality products.
A very quaint and cozy feeling whole foods. Might be my favorite one in the city.
Great layout with plenty of fresh variety! Many options for grab+go, take home, or eating in the store. Helpful staff. Clean + bright.
Its a tight place but amazingly they serve fresh food at all times
Come Here for the quality food. Prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for.
Whole Foods offers a variety of organic food items for your family including infants. I really enjoy the organic infant food selection.
Horrible service. Area to eat is disgusting. Tables next to restroom. I asked cashier where I could find plastic cup she replied in a rude way: ask customer service. Guys, you need to learn from Whole Foods at Grand location. Polite service. Clean, organized area to eat. People enjoying their time over there. Can t say the same about this location. Food was also bad. I will never eat here again.
Great place to come grab a quick bite, and something to take home. I'm a fan of their cheese selection, being that they carry our favorite cheddar cheese.
Love the fresh products here, some items are over priced.. still, I like to shop here
I'm giving this particular Whole Foods store 4 stars for stocking Tahini sauce. Not only do they sell the store brand but they sell my the brand I like: Cedar's Pure Ground Sesame Tahini. Its tasty AND it was priced cheaper than the store brand..go figure.
One would think that you could purchase Tahini at any Whole Foods store. After all this is a high end store and they have a lot of items you can't buy anywhere else. Kind of like the old Fox and Obel store before they shut down due to theft at the top and clueless management. I know. I worked there. However, not all Whole Foods stock this Tahini and I have went searching it at 3 of them. When I asked staff who SHOULD know at those stores I got a clueless look. So much for customer service. I digress
So for you Falafel lovers like me who like tahini sauce on their ground chickpea goodies, and can't find it at other stores, go to this one. They got the goods. They also have prepared Falafel as well. The Whole Foods at 6009 N. Broadway does NOT. No prepared Falafel and definitely no Tahini sauce. Sad..very sad.
Please wear masks everyone. It's simple and it will get out of the Covid thing faster. Enough already..
Peace
great produce...more expensive than most. Parking is an issue and it's best for people who can walk there rather than drive.
Love whole foods everything tastes better then Jewel or Mariano's
Nice selection of flowers if you wanna surprised a loved one!
best location right near the north western university and near the lake.
Though small, this whole foods is pretty banging. They also have awesome and copious samples out at lunch time, the staff is super friendly and their entrees in the prepared food section are affordable, seem pretty healthy, quick and delicious for lunch if you work in River North. Definitely can get redundant for lunch, but they do change the prepared foods bar fairly regularly. Don't forget about sampling the guac, so expensive but so good. Only four stars because they raised the price on fresh juice a whole dollar, moving it out of range for me.
Great selection, good prices. Pretty large beer and wine collection for its size
Great selection, good prices. nice building too. I have no doubt recommending them!
Having had a German grandmother I gotta say your german potato salad is wayyy to vinegary. And what's with the turkey and dumplings? It should be over by the soup it's so soupy!
When in Chicago I do my shopping at Whole Foods Market, a place that has several options for healthy food, fruits, vegetables, breads. Both can be consumed on the spot when taken to the hotel or apartment.
Normal Whole Food experience; definitely meant for quick stops . Kinda is small but still well assorted without feeling squished. Coffee bar is just carafes.
Average wait in line time is like ten minutes when I'm there, it's pretty bad
I bought piece of fish which happened to be smelly. When I tried to return it, customer service representative told me that they can not accept any return without receipt even though the package had barcode with date, time and all necessary information. I asked for manager and he told me the same story. I had to rise my voice in front of other customers and only after that they asked if I have my credit card, easily found the transaction in their system, printed copy of receipt and processed return.
Not the easiest Whole Foods to navigate about, though.
I just spoke to Brigitte in catering and we arranged a very healthy assortment of goodies for a meeting I am hosting tomorrow morning with 8 to 10 people. She had great ideas that I took advantage of and they will deliver it as well. Thanks to Google Maps for helping me find this awesome place. Brigitte is the best!!!!
The staffs are the champions that lighten up the whole shopping experience all the time. They re always friendly and the customer service is always helpful.
This used to be my favorite store downtown. I have been shopping here since 2007.
In the last one year it has become worse than the Jewel Osco on State Street! The employees are either clueless or downright rude! The produce is below average with huge markups on price! Half the items are unavailable.
It would be better to shut this store down rather than run it at the sub optimal level as it is right now.
the people here are pretentious and snotty. there is never anyone able to help you, everyone just has a general job and no one specializes in anything specific.
Nice convenient place to get some quick healthy foid.
Very busy and crowded. Very cramped aisles and unfriendly staff.
I have been shopping here for a while now and customer service is always top notch. prices are good and selection is nice.
This is a nice midsize Wholefoods, good selection of groceries, more focused on groceries than takeout (i.e. no ramen bar) but has pizza oven, small buffet & cakes, tarts & vegan desserts.
This is an awesome whole foods location. They have a great selection of vegan friendly prepared foods. They also have vegan friendly fresh baked cookies. I loved this location, and especially the granola in the bulk section. They also had vegan pizza with an awesome multigrain crust!
The pizza here is INCREDIBLE! The crust is to die for. Probably one of the best slices I have ever had.
If you have a gluten free allergy- then whole foods is your go to grocery store. I really think that if you want to get the best deal on breads it is great too. This gold coast location is central- so it's easy access.
This store has got great collection, meat, veges and dairy products. Prices are very reasonable.Very helpful and friendly staff.
It's neat, clean and organized. Went in just to grab some fruit for breakfast. It was ok, a little pricey but that's the price you pay for convenience.
Everything I would expect from Whole Foods plus some! For example, a line of vegan soul food: that was a pleasant surprise.
Good location ,good store .Enjoy to lunch from hot bar or just to drink coffee with Tiramisu.
Smaller whole foods but close to Loyola downtown campus.
Meh. The pizza and kombucha options weren t that great. But I appreciate the mochi bar.
Found everything that I needed. Every bit as good as other branches.
Great place to pick up groceries. The staff was friendly.
GOOD CLEAN SANITIZED STORE GOOD EMPLOYEES FRESH PRODUCE A PLEASANT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE .
I love whole foods. This is a great location with easy parking. It can get a little crowded but is sure to meet all of your organic, natural needs. My favorite meat counter.
Conveniently located in downtown Chicago. Be careful what hours you go, as it gets pretty crowded. But the employees are very helpful and know where everything is. Fresh produce and quality dried good products.
This is my neighborhood WF and I will say it's a hit or miss! I only buy my fish and meat here even thought it's expensive, but the service at the fish or meat counter is unpredictable and I would expect top notch service considering the price points.
I bought a tree from this WF's yesterday as I didn't want to wander and it's only 2 blocks from my apartment...WF's should never sell trees unless they're going to dedicate the level of knowledge in selling and servicing customers wishing to buy a live tree!
I usually get great service here, but COVID-19 or not...WF's...step up your game!
To be greeted at the entrance is a wonderful experience...thank you. I also want to mention how pleased I am that the self service has been installed. This is going to make a great difference in my shopping experience.
Everyone is super friendly and helpful here. The selection is great. It's one of, if not the, biggest whole Foods in the entire country.
This staff is amazing. They are very knowledgable in their products. I especially enjoyed the Specialty dept. I was able to find new spirits and cheeses :) And, the gourmet chocolates are outstanding. I shop here for all my organic needs and recently started buying my supplements at WFM too. Oh, I love the shirts!
This is a decent whole foods...decent. It can get incredibly over crowded during peak business and shopping hours. The customer service is truly hit or miss. I've had some great experiences and I've had some not so great experiences. I think the store needs a facelift and some better organization. The prices are the same as every other whole foods. However I would rather go to Whole Foods any day of the week over Jewel.
Visited 2 days on the trot. Salad bar unexciting. Not enough choice of dressings. Not on par with other stores I use.
