Whitman Associates, Inc. Review

I have had a great experience with Whitman Associates! The staff is friendly and attentive. I typically need work when I am back in town on breaks from school, and they are consistently able to get me placed somewhere. I would highly recommend this agency!

I moved to DC after graduating college and bounced around a few internships in pursuit of full-time work. I applied for a ton of jobs online, networked in relevant industries, and had some good interviews, but still struggled to really make an impression. After contacting Whitman and a few other similar firms, Whitman stood out as the firm that made by far the most effort to send me high quality job leads. After a week or so, Whitman placed me in an amazing temp-hire role that transitioned into my first full-time job. I couldn't be happier with my experience working with Whitman, I would recommend them to DC job seekers pursuing work in any industry!

I needed a temporary job to assist with my transition from the military into a my new permanent position. Whitman Associates was a huge help! They were eager to find a temporary position that fit my skills, abilities, and desired location. This agency is amazing. Immediately after I met with the people that work there, I received phone calls about job opportunities almost every day and sometimes multiple times a day!! The opportunities were endless, and they work very hard to make sure that a job is a match for you. They are patient and understanding and really want the best for you. They give you as much detail as possible (which is a lot) about the organization/company you can/will interview with and are very prompt in responding. Use this agency, you will not regret it!

There are so many amazing things that I can say about Whitman Associates that its hard to narrow it down. First, the staff is AMAZING!! Everyone is extremely helpful and hands on from start to finish. I have been so fortunate with the help of the staff at Whitman. When I returned to DC as a professional Executive Assistant, Whitman placed me appropriately and quickly. When I chose to semi-retire and work part-time; Whitman has keep me suitably busy for over three years. The assignments have varied from familiar companies where I often return; to board meeting and conferences, which have always been interesting. For example, during last years' Presidential election, I had the opportunity to hear Romney speak!

The office staff has always been pleasant (despite their demanding days) and respectful of my personal schedule and job preferences. Over the years, most often, I have worked with Julie. She is professional and considerate.

Despite my varied career background, Whitman enthusiastically took me on, found a position for me within 48 hours, and had another within days once I completed that first temping period. The places I've worked have had very open and accommodating people that were a pleasure to work with. They also helped by seeking out full-time opportunities for me and really helped me get grounded after I moved to the DC area. Julie, Michaela, Riley, and Lindsey make a great team and maintained exceptional communication to keep everything on track. Definitely recommended for anyone just starting out or between jobs I know they'll be my first stop to hold me over if I find myself job-searching again!
