I cannot tell you how much we have enjoyed having Elsie with our family. She is a wonderful caretaker and I only wish we could have her full time! She is always on time. She sends me updates, photos, and videos all day and it made me feel like I wasn't so far away from my baby girl. Each day when I've arrived home, she's been standing at the window with our daughter showing her things outside. She takes her to playgrounds, on walks, and engages her with toys in the home. She is truly fantastic with infants- she has taught me ways to care for my baby's skin that I didn't know and cleared up two rashes herself! She also helped my daughter begin to nap without the swaddle. She speaks French and English to my daughter, which I love! She also did our laundry and the baby's laundry, which was very thoughtful of her. The house was always very tidy. Elsie helped me identify sweet personality traits in my daughter that I hadn't noticed yet.

Elsie's greatest gift was her ability to make me feel confident and comfortable in my return to work. I had been so nervous about it but she made it truly easy for me. I knew my daughter was in excellent hands. My daughter lights up when she sees Elsie.

We are going to miss her so much. Other families in infants will be very lucky to have her!

I applied at White House nannies and was hired by a family back in 1999. Beautiful family with 3 kids .. a 7 year old a 2 and a half and a newborn. I was never told by the agency nor the family that the oldest had seizures and she fell from time to time. One day she fell right in the middle of the road while we were crossing the street to go into the supermarket with all 3.Another time she fell head first right next to a rock. Thank goodness didn t fall on the rock!!! That was a wake up call for me !! I got really afraid of something happening to this girl while in my care because the other 2 needed a lot of attention so I informed Barbara 2 times of what was happening, she said I am going to find you another job but it is the last time I am going to get you another job if you leave this is it ! If you leave I will not help you find a job anymore... it wasn t even my fault but i still feel now that I was threatened then . I worked with this family for 2 and a half years. After this time a lot of things happened with this family so I thought it was too much so I found another job. I tried calling twice in the last 5 years and they must have a black sheep list or something because the receptionist not even Barbara said they couldn t help me...so I say to every nanny who goes trying to find a job with Barbara or White House Nannies... BE CAREFUL... and I hope you are perfect so she can give you another opportunity finding you a job. It s so sad but I guess The problem is that there are so many people in need of a job that they are still in business.

My sitter was amazing; she was sweet and kind and gentle with my baby (3 1/2 months old) but also confident in her abilities to figure out what my daughter's needs were. This was the first time I had left my her and I had to do it for 15 hours straight one of the days, and I was a wreck. Thanks to our sitter's demonstrated competence, though, I felt like I could really focus on the work I was supposed to do and not spend half the time worrying about my baby. And bonus, my daughter seemed to really love her.

There was no more important task for our family than finding the right nanny to take care of our three young girls. Working with White House Nannies was the best childcare experience I could have ever imagined. Last September, my best friend was married just across the Bay Bridge (we live in DC). At the time, I was a new mom of a 4 month old baby boy and I didn't know where to begin finding a babysitter! I was quite nervous about leaving the baby for the first time and White House Nannies took all the stress, worry, and concern out of the equation. From the moment our nanny, Krista, was connected to us, she was responsive, patient, and super knowledgeable. Krista asked me questions in advance about the care of our 4 month old -- things I hadn't even thought of discussing. When Krista hit traffic on the Bay Bridge, she communicated throughout and even had anticipated the traffic and left early enough so that she was on-time regardless of the hours-long backup. When Krista arrived, my son melted right into her arms and clearly fed off of her calm, confident demeanor. She was so well-equipped and an incredibly attentive, caring nanny. I am so grateful for White House Nannies and Krista!

We hired an overnight baby nurse through White House Nannies for the first few weeks after we brought our newborn daughter home from the hospital; not only would I recommend this service, but I will undoubtedly be a repeat customer in the future. Our overnight baby specialist was prompt and an incredibly helpful and reassuring presence in assisting two brand-new parents navigate the first few nights at home with their daughter. The entire experience really made the transition from the hospital back to our home an easy one. Since then, we have also used their in room hotel care services at a wedding that we wanted to have the baby attend the early evening ceremony, but then also to put the baby down for the evening, so my wife and I could enjoy the night out. I would not hesitate to recommend White House Nannies newborn care services for new parents, particularly in this first few weeks home.

I have worked with children for over ten years. When my husband and I moved to Virginia for his new job. I was in need of a job and especially since I work with children, I found Whitehouse Nannies online. I put an application in to become a nanny around our area. I was contacted within the week! They call and email you and you can tell how caring and determined they are to place you somewhere you will love. I was explained in detail on how the services work and so on. I was then contacted by Stephanie first and then talked with Annie about the families. We talked about EVERYTHING we needed for this to work. They asked me to come in for an interview with them. I was so happy and excited when I went to their headquarters because everyone was so sweet and welcoming! Annie and Stephanie are VERY good at responding to your emails quickly if you have any questions about ANYTHING! Annie placed me with a couple of families until I found the right one for myself and that family who I would be with! And I can honestly say Annie placed me with a truly WONDERFUL family and I couldn't be happier!! I 100% recommend this service and to give it a try! They are so great at White House Nannies! :)

As a family, we desperately needed a nanny. I called several times to understand our options and there were no detailed explanations of the process, expectations, or guidance. There was just a "pay your money and we'll send you options," kind of a vibe. Once it was clear that the nanny they sent us expected more money than was budgeted by our family -and we couldn't afford her to keep her, Whitehouse Nannies simply would not return further phone calls or emails. There has been no refund of our placement fee, or any follow up as to our current needs. Very, very disappointing.

We had the great pleasure of having Elsie care for our 4 month old son for four days in January. She was the first non-family member to care for him and we couldn t be more thrilled with her expertise and loving care. She had our bottle fussy boy taking 5-6 ounces a feed and sleeping 3 solid naps from the first day. She was also incredibly sweet to my 3 year old when I came home with her after preschool. And she kindly lent me a hand as I scrambled to cook dinner. She has it all - professional skills and personality. I feel so lucky and so grateful to Elsie

I have been working for White House Nannies for almost two years in the temporary and permanent divisions. White House Nannies worked very hard to find me the perfect permanent family and I have never loved my job more. They truly listened to my needs and didn t stop until they found my perfect match. Everyone at White House Nannies goes above and beyond to ensure the best experience for their Nannies and families.

I work in DC but live in another state, and have to travel often with my five month old. I'd been avoiding White House Nannies despite lots of recommendations from friends, because they were so expensive. But after using every other service, I finally gave in. My kiddo was difficult and was scaring away ordinary nannies - I warned White House Nannies, and they found me a baby whisperer. She had all the basics covered - arriving on time, knowing CPR, didn't turn on televisions and things like that. But she was also the first nanny who could put my daughter at ease and make her happy - which meant I could do my work without constant worry. The agency was extremely professional, with follow up before and after that made me realize why they attracted such good caregivers. I am now a committed customer and fan.

I used WH Nannies for over 15 years for on-demand childcare and I can tell you that they have always sent me quality child care providers who have been well trained, helpful and kind. Yes, I have liked some of the providers better than others, but I have never had a provider sent to my house who didn't arrive promptly, present herself confidently and be incredibly kind and helpful with my kids while I was gone. Many of the providers are teachers who brought great reading lessons and fun games to play. Again, all the providers were wonderful and I am so grateful to the staff and providers at WH Nannies for 15 years of support, service, assistance and always providing me peace of mind. Thank you.

Lastly, my sister-in-law recently hired a care giver full time from their service and she is an amazing caregiver full of love, support and kindness. So whether in need of temporary or full-time help, I highly recommend WH Nannies.

I don't typically leave reviews, but I was actually appalled when dealing with their agency. I have always head such great things about White House Nannies. When my job decided they'd like to host an event for Bring Your Child to Work Day I was quick to suggest we use them for extra set of hands. From the beginning they were a hassle and missing the entire point of everything I was requesting from them. I told them we have our own activities planned and have 3 people plus myself in the office as an extra set of hands to watch children, so we were looking to enlist 2 of their caregivers. They kept trying to force us to pay for additional caregivers and their activities that they put on, even though I told them it is not necessary we have activities for the children covered. To have them back out and send this rude email was very unprofessional in my opinion. They're basically telling us they do not want to affiliate themselves with us because we do not live up to their standards. Basically because we do not want to give their company additional money they've decided we aren't good enough to work with them. I was sure to share this email with several mothers in this office who were also shocked in disbelief about how this company runs things. Needless to say, they will not be getting services from anyone in this office. For work or home related needs.

After speaking with the owners of the company, we are going to need to decline the offer to provide childcare for your event on 4/25. We do not feel confident that the environment would ensure our caregivers ability to provide the gold standard of child care that we pride ourselves on. We only want to do the best for our clients and the families we serve.

Typically, when we handle events with large numbers of children we are able to align with the company around the appropriate number of trained professionals present. We are also able to provide games and activities that we know will keep the children happy and engaged. Without these variables present, there may be better options for you.

We used the temporary service and were thoroughly impressed by their caregivers. They were punctual, kind, responsible, and receptive to our guidance. We found the office to be very responsive to our booking requests and easy to work with. We are very grateful for White House Nannies for all their help!

Recently I've had the opportunity to meet with the team at White House Nannies and I think they are amazing. Smart and focused women attentive to detail and making every effort to place the most amazing candidate into the families they care for.

This agency takes unprofessionalism to another level. I applied to work with this agency a few years ago, but due to miscommunication and unorganization of the team, I ended up finding work elsewhere. Admittedly, I wrote a negative review on their FB page about my experience (they have since hidden their reviews on FB so perspective families cant read it).Well, my current 4.5 year job (so, yes, it s been YEARS since I last tried working with WHN) is coming to an end so I RE-applied with the agency with the hopes of better business practices. The recruiter, Stephanie, called me the next day, set up an interview with me, called my references so I was actually planning to write a 5 star review because I THOUGHT things were different. Well, Stephanie just called and said the owner, Annie or Ann, remembered my previous review (which is now hidden on their FB page) and don t want to work with me at all. A typical business takes constructive criticism and work on what they can do better to improve their business practices, and make up for their faults with customers/clients/ employees; not this company. They prefer to delete and hide their imperfections. Anyone considering working with this agency, as a nanny or family, proceed with caution. As I did last time, I will find a wonderful family this time on my own.

My recent experience with this agency is from the nanny side. After seeing that the average star rating is 3, I m not surprised. Communication with this agency seems to be an issue. My experience goes as follows. After reaching out and submitting my interest in a position with the agency. I was contacted by Stephanie. My location is clearly noted on all of my documentation. Just keep that in mind. I was set up and completed a video interview with the owner and Ann. My previous family references were contacted as well. I was timely and professional in providing all of my information. It was during a call with one of my references that SHE is told that the family was looking for someone local and information that she shouldn t have been privy to. I hadn t even been informed yet myself. How unprofessional! I reach out to Stephanie and expressed my disappointment and also concern in learning from my previous nanny family and not the agency that I wouldn t be proceeding with the family because they preferred someone local. Understandable. She apologized. Fine. So I reach out and express interest in yet another family. Nothing states in the advertisement that the family is looking for local nanny options. Stephanie says she would advise Ann of my interest. A week goes by and I ve heard nothing. I reach out again, and Stephanie replied with We do appreciate that time you took to interview with us, but at this time, without any concrete plans to relocate to our area, we are not sure we are the best fit to help you find a new live-in nannying position. We do wish you the best of luck in your job search .

When they received my information, it was plain and clear that I reside in NC. Why would they even proceed to have me go thru the processes and reach out to my previous nanny families to only say sorry but you aren t local?!?
The unprofessionalism with this agency is astounding! If they themselves were not interested in representing me as an agency. I could have accepted that.
Their vetting process is one that s questionable in many ways. I have a business background as well and I m positive I can do an overhaul to the way they handle communication with families and potential nannies that ll bring about a more professional outcome. Proceed with caution.

We used White House Nannies Temporary division for 20 years and only ended our subscription now that our youngest child is 16 and driving. I used the services for everything from nanny back up to evening data nights. Every single time, for 20 years, the nannies who came out were outstanding caregivers. Top notch organization!

Sounds dramatic, but I could not have imagined having such fun every day at work with such an incredible family to interact with without the phenomenal staff at White House Nannies. They provide regular training opportunities for their nannies, fun outings for nannies and their kiddos to build a sense of community and, for those potential nanny families, they really do look out for your needs as well. They only sent me to families they really thought would be a good match. I scoured those job postings assuming, Maybe they just hadn t thought of me yet for this job when in fact they had and realized that that was not going to be the best fit for either of us. White House Nannies is an excellent agency not only for families seeking childcare, but also for those providing it.

My experience as a childcare provider with WHN is very positive. I applied for a position as a permanent nanny for the first time in 2016 and soon was placed with a family I stayed with them until I had to say goodbye in 2019 when they moved overseas. As of now, I am part of the temporary division as I wait for another permanent placement.

The communication with WHN is simple and yet extremely efficient. You express your needs and they will do their best to accommodate them.

I have been apart of this organization for a number of years, and I have to say that they never fail in giving their nannies the best families and outcomes. They are very welcoming, engaging, loving, and hardworking in ensuring that all of their nannies are being given the perfect family for them. Based on my experience, references, and overall description of myself as a nanny, I was able to speak with a handful of families to narrow down which family would be the best for me. I have been a nanny for many many years and I find my prior experience and families are similar to the families I have been introduced to in my journey. It has not been easy to find an opportunity for a job, especially with the vulnerability of a baby or small child, in the area just due to the circumstances with COVID. But, we are given the proper precautionary methods in ensuring that we and our families are safe.
