This is by far one of the best shops I have ever been to. Professional, courteous staff, and some of the best mechanics/techs in the city.
This is by far one of the best shops I have ever been to. Professional, courteous staff, and some of the best mechanics/techs in the city.
I have been dealing with Wheels of Bloor since 2007 and consider it to be the best bike shop in Toronto. They have met all of my needs and expectations and are always helpful and efficient. I have always been satisfied with the work done by their mechanics and the treatment I get from their staff.
I would definitely recommend WoB to any cyclist in Toronto and have brought several friends in to purchase their first bike there. I have been racing for years on Cervelos and continue to receive fantastic service from the shop... no matter what your needs are, this is the place to go.
honestly, no experience at the store. but their employees and/or team riders are -- in my opinion -- awful bicycle representatives.
it is a frequent occasion that folks wearing the Wheels Of Bloor team jersey are the most dangerous on Toronto's bike paths, often passing children, walkers, other cyclists, etc at high speeds only inches away, seemingly with delight at the alarm they cause.
they will at times "practice" in High Park or near the Ex, and in both places they will not even curb their speed a small amount while blasting through stop signs.
behavior like theirs is -- i believe -- a large reason that many Torontonians have such a hatred for cyclists, and why the city continues to take steps backwards when it comes to providing a safe cycling infrastructure.
as a daily rider myself, i'm aghast at their behavior and how it reflects upon me.
All around good shop. Very competent mechanic, excellent service and they make the efforts to satisfy the customer. I have been shopping here for more than 10 years and bought 2 bikes from them. Here is a typical interaction with them: I took a bike back after 6 years to get the fork cut because I wanted it a little bit shorter. When it was all done, I asked how much and they said it was free of charge.
I went here to buy my first road bike and I was blown away with how great the service was.
Since I was new to road biking I had many questions to ask and the entire time the associate was very patient and great at explaining things to me. I was looked after just as well as any of the other, despite my lack of knowledge in the area.
When they let me test out the bike they made sure the saddle height was good for me. They took my inseam length and matched it to the geometry of the bike very quickly.
What really sold me was that they let me take a ride around the neighbourhood, not at a back alley or a small area behind the store. This let me really get a feel for the bike and know exactly what I was getting.
After coming back to the store and deciding on the bike I wanted to purchase they made sure to address any questions or comments I had about my test ride.
When I bought the bike they gave me a pair of regular pedals and a presta to schrader conversion fixture without charge (This is part of addressing my concerns and comments). The bike, itself was for sale at a very good price and from doing hours of matching specs and prices to what I wanted, this bike was by far the best deal.
Afterwards, they did one last fitting using a stationary bike fitting machine they had in the store.
This has been the best experience I have had when it comes to purchasing, well really any product.
I am thrilled with my purchase and the quality of the service here.
I went by recently to buy a bicycle.
I asked for 2 named brands that they didn't have.
For a reason I got a really bad attitude from a young guy who's working there.
And when i asked to take a look from what they have he just told me to go look on a different place.
great selection of top end road / gravel / TT bikes and knowledgeable staff.
I recently (during the Covid pandemic) visited this store for entry level road bikes for my wife and I. We are not cyclists but wanted to join the club. The staff here was excellent and assisted with even rather basic questions (much of my education was from reading manufacturer websites and watching YouTube videos). We got fitted for our bikes, saved some cash because they have great prices, and were able to get the bikes same-day. I will also note that with a little mishap that I was likely to blame for, the team were able to make the issue disappear with a quick visit to the mechanic. I would definitely recommend this spot for entry level all the way to next level cyclists as they have a bike to fit most budgets, and all the fun accessories too! Happy shopping and thanks again for all of the help to the BoW team!
I have bought 5 bikes from WOB. I would never think of going anywhere else. Service is top notch. The staff are all very knowledgeable and are cyclists themselves. I count on WOB to keep my bikes in top shape.
These guys are the best. The best bikes. And good dudes too!
Of all the pretentious bike shops in the city this one takes the cake. Most of these guys would have to walk their bikes up the hill on Bloor and act like they're Peter Sagan lol. Cervelo is just chinese carbon, don't act like you're sitting on a gold mine.
Great service, prices and knowledgeable and helpful staff.
My experience is from a few years ago. Bought a new component set and had it installed on my bike. When I picked up my bike, the brand new crank fell off as I rode home. It hit the ground and got all scratched up. I took my bike back in and explained what happened and asked that they replace the now scratched up crank due to their error. They refused to replace it and instead painted over the scratches when reattaching the crank. They never offered anything to rectify their error or to make the situation right. It was very disappointing.
Good service except that one older guy that is extremely rude with awful people skills.
Took my bike in for a repair (damaged derailleurs), and they fixed it promptly and professionally. They also fine tuned the fitting, for a better ride and a more enjoyable experience.
Although, rather a long drive from my place, but I'd certainly go back, whenever more services or products are needed.
I highly recommend Wheels of Bloor.
Great quality brands. Staff is knowledgeable and always helpful.
Wheels of Bloor provide the best service and cycling knowledge in town, their excitement and passion for cycling is openly shared the moment you walk in the door and that is something that makes us all cyclist very happy.
Not too impressed with their quality of service. Bought a Cervelo here and was basically hurried out of the shop after I paid and I told them I had my own clips and shoes already.
Did not really approach me when I first entered the shop, probably cus I'm young and they think I won't be buying anything (a bad attitude IMO, they should treat all customers with proper respect and care)
If not for their great selection of bikes, I wouldn't recommend this shop. Don't expect the same high quality of customer service as their bikes
Amazing just amazing
I bought a trainer from them and they even install the cassette right away
These guys set the bar for AMAZING customer service. I've been to the shop 3 times and I'm a loyal customer for life as a result. They really know how to care about their customers. Retailers could learn from them. Well done guys! This is the place to shop for all of your biking needs.
Went in to the store ready to buy a new bike. The sales rep was very patronizing and had me feeling like I wasn t worthy of his time.
He took every chance to talk someone else and left me feeling guilty that I walked in to the store. If you re looking for friendly service, I recommend you go elsewhere.
during this crazy demand on bikes, I had multiple interactions with many bike shops all over GTA. I have to say that the reason I am writing a 5 star review is that at least this place answers the phone.
Big thanks to STEVEN, what a great person to buy from. I had to get into a bike that is 2cm shorter than my size and Steven find a solution by installing a longer stem; brilliant.
its obvious this place cares about you as a customer even during this super crazy demand.
I recently decided to start cycling as a new hobby and went to Wheels of Bloor to discuss what style bike would be the best fit for me. The customer service was amazing and incredibly helpful, I felt as though the staff truly cared about my opinions and wanted to ensure I left with a bike I would enjoy. The staff worked within my budget without compromising the quality or look of bike that I wanted. I highly recommend anyone starting from scratch go to this shop.
After an extensive research where to send my bike for tune up I ended up here. There are several shops to choose from but the ones downtown didn't made the cut. Dirty and amateurish looking workspaces, definitely not where I would leave my bike for service.
WOB, a bike shop with attitude. Something I've heard from other people, but at least with a professional workspace, so I wanted to see it for myself.
I left my bike at WOB for a standard tune up. It's properly done, as far I can judge it. Nothing more nothing less. No additional information was given at pickup and told what's been done and what the condition of the components are. This would rather been helpful for me as a customer, to keep in mind how much mileage I still have left. With this said, this would work in their own benefit to get the customer back for an additional tune up.
Great selection of premium road bikes and accessories. Very professional, but not super friendly and helpful. A smile doesn't harm anybody, that's what I definitely missed here in this shop.
A very well kept workplace with great staff, Service was very well and friendly. 10/10 Would recommend coming here.
I would rate no stars if I could. Was new to the sport so they decided to sell me a bike that was way too small, impersonal staff, terrible bike techs.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bike, parts, or just some information. Knowledgable and friendly staff who spent the time answering my questions and eventually helped me settle on a new bike.
Shopping a WoB for years and they continue to go above and beyond! From new bikes to exceptional service! Only difficulty is to decide what bike is next!
Great selection of high end bikes. Quite expensive.
Excellent shop. Art gallery feel with the land yaghts on display through the multi tier studio. Steve educated me on my first carbon wheelset purchase and he was nothing but knowledgable
I've been going to Wheels of Bloor for years and have always received exceptional service. They are true professionals and very generous with their post-sale support.
Bought my first bike here. The staff were fantastic. David and Stephen took time to answer every question I had about cycling. Good deal too, I was surprised I was able to get a full carbon bike for what my budget well. Stephen did a gret job fitting the bike for me as well. I could not endorse them more!
Awful customer service, not sure why they even use social media. They can't even answer a simple question but just keep posting pictures. Many bike shops want sales right now yet they ignore a simple question to a newbie bike customer willing to spend $3000-3500 thanks for the great service!!!
Went in to the store and met with a rep or the owner. He was very helpful in assisting me with the item, which I then had a slight issue with. Honestly, as the customer I was being difficult and indecisive. I highly appreciate the customer service I received. Will definitely go back for bike fittings and other purchases in the future.
Great little store too - very bike enthusiast friendly. 5/5!
Experience varies greatly day to day - but if you get the right salesperson it can be a nice place to buy a (high end) bike. Likely the best place in the world to buy a cervelo if that's your thing...prices are good (again for this level of stuff) but service can be a bit sketchy if you get the wrong guy/girl. Mechanic is 'so-so' for this level of shop.
it would be better if cervelo found a better partner in the gta-I wont recommend these guys to represent the brand or enhance their sales. over the past 10 years I've bought 2 complete bikes from them and found it to be a bitter experience More
This has been my go to shop for many years, I've purchased 7 bikes from this place, Cervelo P2, two Cervelo S5's, 2 Cervelo R5's, BMC timemachine, and a Cervelo Aspero. Great service, sometimes a quick tune up is done on the spot, quick flat tube replacement, or disc brake adjustment. Great group of guys in there to chat with when you're riding around the High park area so stop by when you get the chance and say Hi!
I went to the shop last week 30 minutes before closing as a new rider with virtually zero knowledge on bikes. Measurements were taken, and a couple of test rides later I ended up picking up a very well priced road bike. Road away happy and thankful that the shop went the extra mile after closing hours to take care of me.
Fast forward 3 days where I m watching YouTube videos on bike fitting and it dawns on me that the frame of the bike I purchased might be too large. Turns out, whether through miscommunication or misunderstanding, I had walked out with an extra large frame instead of a large. This was confirmed with measurements as the size was not marked on the frame (part of the mixup). I went back to the shop and once again they demonstrated their professionalism and good faith. Despite being sold a final sale bike, I was offered alternatives and ultimately a refund with no penalty. I m very appreciative of them doing this.
I strongly recommend this shop to any rider, new or experienced. Once I save up a bit more money, I will be returning to this shop first.
best mechanics of all time, thanks for the impossible!!
Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. I shipped two bikes to a different country and the Wheels of Bloor team had them packaged within 24 hours of dropping them off. Flawless service.
Finally found a 3t exploro, they even had my size. came all the way from Ottawa to pick it up. Quick turn around and they included a full fitting, thanks guys!
Always have everything in stock and friendly staff to help you out.
I poped into Wheels of Bloor just a couple days ago planning on purchasing a Cervelo S5 VWD. The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by one of their sales staff and offered help to find what I was looking for. They took me straight up to the Cervelo floor and showed me all around the different models that the brand offeres. Believe it or not, they even went into explaining a bit of the brands history on the road to me. Every single question I asked about the bike I had enquired about was answered above and beyond my greatest expectations. When it was time to check out, one of the owners, Peter, helped me out a bit with the pricing making a package deal for I had purchased shoes, pedals, and apparel along with the bike. One of their fit specialists then threw my bike up onto the fitting stand and got me all comfortably set up for my many rides to come. Lastly, I still had a few questions regarding how to operate and setup my new cycling computer. Without a worry, they had one of their staff come and teach me how to use the cycling computer. They set it up and I was on my way. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking into getting a road bike.
Great service, knowledgeable and personable... David let me into the store and gave me a crash course to road biking... After 500+km in 2 weeks, I have zero complaints and only compliments!
Wheels of Bloor has top notch sales staff and mechanics who understand just how important your bike is to you, whether a racer, club rider, or solo roadie. Their involvement in the sport of cycling is evident at many levels, not only in running a great shop, but also in hosting road races, operating a competitive cycling team, and supporting club riding too. My bike and I have always experienced excellent treatment and quality service. Without a doubt, Wheels of Bloor is my bicycle shop of choice.
Perhaps the most uninviting place i have been to. Not greeted and was integrated as to what i was looking for. Maybe that is how shops are now
Love WOB, I will drive from the east side of Toronto to shop there.
The overall attitude is a bit pretentious. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful, some won't give you the time of day unless you walk in with a $10,000 worth of equipment. Don't get me wrong, if you're looking for a seat that weighs less than an empty pop can, this is probably the best place in the city. For the average cyclist looking for some help and advice, expect it to come with a side of attitude.
Can I rate 0 stars? Seriously. I stopped in there to buy lights for my bike. I stood there staring at their selection for at least 15 minutes, weighing my options, and no one offered to help me at all. I did receive a few questioning looks from people who seemed to wonder why someone wearing business attire was in there. (sorry for stopping in on my way home from work...)
After awhile, I decided to just pick some on my own that looked like they'd work, so I took them and went up to cash. Where I stood for another 5-10 minutes, being completely ignored. Not even a "someone will be with you shortly", hell, not even so much as a hello.
I eventually gave up, and left. I probably could've thrown the lights in my purse and walked out with them without anyone noticing, but I'm too honest for that, so I just left them behind on the counter.
As a business, you need to be willing to look after ALL of your customers, not just the high end ones that are going to come in and spend thousands. I will never go in there again, and quite possibly will flip off the store every time I walk past it in the future. Learn some basics of Customer Service, Wheels Of Bloor.
Wheels of Bloor is an amazing bike shop, bought my first road bike there and ever since I've been a roadie for 4 years.
I recently bought a 2013 Cervelo P2 at a greatly reduced price. It was a little outside my budget but the price was such a good deal i had to take it. The person that helped me "Peter" was very knowledgeable and helped me from start to finish. They also had a sale on shoes and pedals which I took advantage of. They took patience in fitting me on the bike and the person that took my measurements knew what he was doing. The entire experience from this store exceeded my expectations. I would recommend you do business with this store because of the value and knowledge of the staff. They were very busy and were able to set me up with everything I needed. There were also a lot of repeat customers in there, as I overheard the staff call their customers by their first name. I really got a good impression about that place. The only regret was they didn't sell the bike lock I was looking for. It's hard to find a good bike store without feeling you are getting ripped off. But I think we have a winner there.
Fortunate to live near this great bike shop. Always enjoy dealing with Stephen and the rest of the team. WOB also has some really good mechanics
After a terrible experience at another local bike shop, I was very impressed by the exceptional service by Stephen. He provided a wealth of information on helping me choose the perfect road bike. Stephen makes the whole experience of choosing your first carbon road bike a great one. I love my new Cervelo and will ONLY shop here.
Quick and great service. Purchased a great bike from them during the bike show. Went in for a bike fitting. They got me set up in no time. Looking forward to the nice weather to ride on my new bike. Thanks Wheels of Bloor.
Hardest working bike shop in Toronto. Excellent products, expert staff, no nonsense.
Best bike shop in Toronto by far.
Had an issue with axle compatibility and a stripped screw. They took the time to actually come up with a feasible solution (not the case at all bike shops).
Service staff were friendly, patient and above all else, knowledgeable (especially the mechanics). Not taking my bike anywhere else.
Had to fix a pinch flat on my road bike so I brought it here as I was nearby. Even with the restrictions on physical distancing they made it happen and accommodated me gladly.
Sidenote: I purchased my wheels here in November and they were awesome back then as well.
Bought my first road bike here and received excellent customer service by exceptional employees Dave and Owen. Highly recommend for those looking to purchase a great quality road bike!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff with very good prices and a huge selection
Great shop, very large, huge selection and everything is actually in stock. Dozens of after market carbon wheels, tires, gotta be the largest selection of helmets and shoes in Toronto, though it is almost exclusively focused on Road/Cross/Tri, with a few MTB/DH parts and clothes. Over 100 models of mid-high end bikes built and on display in quite an impressive showroom. Cervelo, BMC, Ridley, Devinci, Colnago, Pinarello, Felt - all ready to ride or custom built from a large selection of (wait for it.... in-stock) components.
None of the 'lemmie get the catalogue' or 'we can order it - it'll take a few weeks' shenanigans. You get to see, ride, feel everything in one place and the staff all very approachable and know their onions.
Right next to High Park so it's an ideal location for test rides.
They welcome you to you bring your own shoes and pedals to take out a few bikes for test rides, no stress, no hesitation - I even did this during a stubbornly rainy day without a thought.
If you do buy anything from pedals to a whole bike, from them, they help install and fit you to your ride with an in-shop set of stationary rollers and fitting tools. A priceless (yet free) gift for those less experienced or bike-tool-phobic types who want the confidence and security of a proper installation/fit.
Any shop that inspires me to type "shenanigans" is worth the visit.
Excellent service, sale and post-sale and lots of inventory
Great selection of endurance road bikes at a reasonable price. The staff are quite helpful. I drove about an hour + from where I live to go to the store. It was worth my while.
Very professional and polite staff. Knowledgeable. Place is clean and workshop tidy. Mechanics are great. You need a new bike, this is the place to go!
I have only fair dealt with them through emails for a special order, so it's hard to give 5, but I was really satisfied.
Just a hands down really good bike shop. Great customer service and selection of bikes. I've purchased 2 bikes from this shop and the entire experience has been great. From deciding on a bike, test riding a bunch of bikes, first fit, and after purchase maintenance has been amazing. The good thing about this shop is they carry and stock a lot of bikes so you can test ride a few different types in your price range. Even after the bike is purchased they take good care of you and are super easy to work with. Worth checking out.
Been here a few times. Staff are unknowledgeable "know it alls" and customer service is poor and condescending. Their only advise is to buy your way out of bike problems and their products are overpriced. Always feel rushed. Only a matter of time before stores like this go away and we get e-commerce driven shops. Looking forward to that!
Great staff, products and prices. Can't ask for anything more.
Wheels of Bloor did an amazing job on getting my bike back up and running! In this case, I was going out of town for a day and needed my bike back in a hurry, so pre-authed up to $500 bucks of work to fix the BB if needed. I got it back with an explanation that all it needed was a bit of cleaning and re-greasing, so no need for the $$.
That's what I **really** appreciate in a bike shop!
I recommend Peter and the gang at WoB.
Sales people may rebuff you at first but it's only because they are busy but are really good once you get their attention. Be patient, it's worth it!
Bought my first road bike from Wheels of Bloor. Honestly the nicest staff, helped me get everything set up and gave me some pointers. I told them what my goals were and they recommended a bike without breaking my bank. I was intimidated at first but Massimo was really helpful! Been loving my bike since. Definitely recommend going here!
I've bought my first and second road bike here and both times, I've had great experiences with the wob team. I've had Peter help me with my first bike and Stephen with my second. They were both extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my bike selection and the services afterwards. I've visited numerous bike shops in Toronto for bike shopping and maintenance, but I ve always ended up back here for this team's knowledge and quality service.
I had a great experience - I had the wrong equipment, Wheels Of Bloor fixed the problem, installed new pedals, did a bike fit and it was the best customer service I have had - thanks Roman!
Friendly knowledgeable staff and a great selection of bikes and accessories
Outstanding service. In the two years since I moved into High Park Peter and his team have been consistently great in making me feel welcome and supported. Whether it's quick turn around times on bike maintenance or willingness to go the extra mile on special requests (like lending me a bike box when mine broke) they have been the best shop I have ever dealt with.
I recently bought a Cervelo P2 2013 model at a very competitive price. The staff are all very professional and greeted me when I first came in, and sized, fitted, allowed me a test ride, and bar-taped the bike, and had me out the door in no time.
I have since been back to swap the stock Fizik seat with an ISM, and also picked up a set of Look pedals at a great price, and they were equally professional on my second visit.
A lot of bike shops have a holier-than-thou attitude; not Wheels of Bloor. They sell higher end bikes but don't be intimidated; they are very customer service oriented.
Where do I begin. Came in with a simple problem, was treated promptly by David. The guy knows his stuff. Great service here and an awesome selection of rides. Will definitely be back.
Don't be intimidate by the fancy bikes in the window! These guys helped me out in a pinch ! Thank you :)
I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the excellent customer service I recieved at this location. They even took the time to professionally fit me on my new bike! They really know their stuff...
I brought in a pair of Shimano RC7s for cleats that I could use with my indoor Keiser spin cycle. They had a cleat that allowed for the SPD-SL to convert to a standard SPD. Helpful. Unfortunately, an older guy working in the back room installed the cleat, split the metal with one of the screws he put in and then had the audacity to put them in the box without telling me. I left the store, drove home and discovered the split. I called them and was initially met with disbelief. They then told me to drive back down, which I did. 40 minutes of inconvenience and a very awkward 10 minutes waiting in the store for the cleat to be replaced. They tried to pretend the lighting was bad so it went unnoticed. Sketchy at best. Knowing effort to hide their mistake from me and pawn off a broken cleat at worst. This type of thing may seem small but it suggests a lot about the way they do business. I d be hard pressed to trust them with a $5-10k bike.
Have been a customer for the last 5 years. Recently had to get a wheel warrantied and the staff went above and beyond to work with the manufacturer and get me sorted. Highly recommend.
My experience at Wheels of Bloor was beyond amazing. The staff was welcoming and made me feel very comfortable while buying my first bike. They were conscious of my budget and never tried to "upsell" me on things I didn't need. They were fast and efficient at getting my bike ready to go and offered great advice for a first-timer like me. I'm so happy I decided to go with Wheels of Bloor and would recommend the shop to newbie riders and veterans alike!
Just a fantastic experience from start to finish dealing with Stephen and the others at Wheels of Bloor. It is a very difficult time to find a bike but Stephen was able to put together exactly what I wanted, and more, so that I could still get some rides in this year. Very knowledgeable and excellent customer service. A great selection of bikes and accessories. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the market for a bike. I will buy from them again.
I dropped my Trek bike off earlier this week for a tune-up and repair of a spoke. They had it ready for pickup within 2-days. Very friendly and efficient service, and my bike looks amazing! Prices for service seem pretty reasonable, compared to other shops I ve been to. Tune-up (including cleaning), new tape and spoke came to around $220.
Wheels of Bloor helped me out in a pinch - I was out on a ride and had a major brake malfunction, which they fixed up on the spot and got be back out on the road! Quick and thorough service, great staff.
The guys at Wheels are knowledgable and easy to talk to, WOB has the best brands and inventory in the city. I always love popping in to see whats new.
Excellent and very Friendly service. I wanted to take my bike on flight. I was trying find out how to get it packed to carry with me in short notice. Once reached their store after long drive only thing they said we got you covered give us few minutes.
Mechanic does a fantastic job. I have come with some complicated bike problems and they always are able to sort them out. Obviously a pricier store for maintenance but if you have a high performance bike it's definitely worth it.
These folks are experts in performance racing bikes. Prices are steep, but slightly better than some downtown shops. (Accessory items are very pricey here.) They specialize in Cervelo.
This is a great place to buy a high quality bike. The service is fantastic, with one exception. I think every poor review already given is related to people being served by the same person I dealt with the other day. A simple description, "tall skinny white kid". If you have to deal with him either walk out or ask for another service rep. Once he's gone this place is 5 stars, with him there it is not even 1 star. I don't know if he was tortured as a child, maybe then I'd have more compassion.
I find that bike stores general get a bad rep. I've been in a handful in the GTA and am met with anything from enthusiasm to indifference. So I fully recognize that a shop I thought treated me poorly might be someone else's favourite shop.
With respect to Wheels of Bloor, I was introduced by a friend who has known them for a few years. Overall, the service and sales process was excellent, with the Salesperson spending time to explain everything to me, and also making sure that we worked within my budget. I expected the bike to take a week to be ready, but to my surprise they asked me to return the next day to pick it up.
On pick-up, the bike wasn't quite ready yet, but a staff member of theirs stayed late to finish it up. I then got a quick fitting, we realize I hadn't bought pedals (they were nice enough to lend me a couple vs trying to convince me to buy a high end pair) suggested I get used to the bike before coming back and deciding on which pedals to get.
Very happy with their service and I'll definitely be going back frequently, even though the store isn't very close to me.
Thanks to the WoB team!
