Longboard Living is a great shop for all levels of riders, but particularly for those who are just getting into the sport. You will find a good selection of local brands as well as a couple of the most relevant name-brands for the urban commuter. The level of attention to get you the right board is excellent given the size of the shop and its focus on urban riders.
Great customer service when ordering online! There was a slight hiccup with shipping (simple human error caused my order to be sent out a couple days late). However, after a quick and pleasant call to the shop in Toronto, they got my order to me in less than 24 hours!!! Love the product and looking forward to surprising my girlfriend with a new board from a local business <3
Place was amazing, friendly people and the best service in town. They really take care of you.
Great service, and fast. Quality product. I ordered longboard shred lights for my son's longboard. My order arrived without the mounting brackets, so we called the store to ask about the brackets and the gentleman we spoke to said he would send them out right away, and he did. Very happy. Gentleman was polite, and very helpful. Will definitely order from here again. Highly recommend.
The owner of the shop was very understanding and helpful didn't try too hard to sell you anything; he only wanted to help. I came in with a classic board and I was giving it to a friend and the owner helped us out getting a bunch of odds and ends and basically re-created the board and made it super smooth and ready to ride for my friend who was beginning at skateboarding but didn't have expendable income to buy a brand new board. The customer service is stellar here! Definitely going to come by again. If you're in and around Kensington and got that itch for some new swag or gear for your board you will be taken care of here.
Side street surfing and this shop could probably be the best thing here in Toronto. Love this!
Great job, due to great work. Great customer service.
The owner is honest and very calm person. They carry very cost effective items which i like.
I bought my boosted stealth from here. The staff are really chill and informative. Was very happy with my purchase. Thanks guys.
Great place in Kensington Market to buy skateboards, both traditional and motorized.
Great selection of boards, parts and accessories. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Newly renovated.
Ryan is a great guy, he (kind of) gave me a complete longboard for free once. If I ever decide to buy another one or any parts, it will be from him! I try to support small businesses and good people and Ryan Rubin is one of the honest and fair people in the Kensington community. I always recommend LL to friends looking to buy a board or helmet.
I wanted to buy a board online and their customer service was amazing! They answered all my questions and I received my order promptly! I would I highly recommend this company and the owner Ryan awnsered all my questions I had about getting my first longbord. I will definitely buy future bords from here, thank you!
Worst place worst owner ever!!! Don't waste your money here
Great place to get a Boosted Board, or any other board you may be looking for, no matter what your age.
A few months later
Just to add to the review, I have had the odd service issue or question come up, and whenever I go in, Ryan is really helpful. LBL is a great business, you can count on them. And pics.
They gave me the wrong bolts for my tan tein once. Took a lot of work to get off.
There is not many electric skateboard places in Toronto yet, so I celebrate the bravery of taking the initiative
Love this place. Friendly and helpful staff, go above and beyond to make sure I'm happy and setup with my board.
Ryan is a cool dude. His store isn't the biggest shiniest store in town but it's got character, it makes you wanna pick up a board and just ride it till your feet hurt... Happy to have given him my business
Quick and friendly service with a great product selection. The store has a really cool skater vibe.
AWESOME SHOP IN A COOOL NEIGHBORHOOD! LOVE LONGBOARDING AND KENSINGTON, ROCK ON!
Fantastic customer service! I love my longboard living longboard! Rides like a dream.
Easy going atmosphere in this shop. The owner is well spoken and is very understanding of different clientel. While I was here some people were coming in for clothes, others for board-related items, etc. All were treated professionaly and got the help they needed. Regular shoppers of this location are welcoming and friendly as well.
They have dealt with my old longboard on multiple occassions now and have it looking, and riding better each time I leave. I'll be coming back too!!!
Great service and staff!!
Recommended a custom board for me and its going great! Thanks longboard living.
My bearings had rusted out and I did not know how to replace them. The staff did it for me free of charge.
Such an amazing store.
The staff or very friendly are are super chill.
Good products and amazing prices.
I'd definitely recommend this store to anyone who wants good quality stuff for the best price.
Great place in an awesome area. The staff is awesome and extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
"The Place to buy anything and everything Longboard Related in Toronto."
Store is owned by Ryan Rubin, he's a lovely person that's created a true communal vibe to his store. You will not be disappointed with the service here I purchase all my Longboarding Tools, apparel & accessories here and highly recommend it.
The owner also runs whats called "The Side Street Surf" , every friday at 7 pm Longboarders gather outside the shop group up and head out for a couple hours to ride togethor it's an absolute blast if you have a board and are looking for people to ride with check it out!
5/5 Stars hands down!
Bought my board online after my brother recommended longboard living. I had been searching for a while for a double drop board and just couldn t find one for me. Found the PERFECT board at longboard living. Great quality! Rides so smooth!
super nice and knowledgeable peps, very newb friendly. gave me lots of good tips and tricks when I dropped by. good vibes!
I find the place to be very welcoming and comforting. It has everything I'd need and I have no problem getting help when needed
I never bought anything yet but I like there style and how beautiful the boards look
Great shop, friendly genuine advise. The shop owner will try to talk you out of a board that's the wrong fit for you and get you on something you'll love.
Good customer service and friendly stuff
I really recommend this place for people thinking for longboarding for first time perfect place for you! The guy I meet there I saw him how he treat his customers good. looking for perfect board for you that suits you Great!
I have dealt with Ryan a few times now. Good prices, friendly and he knows his stuff. I come here on the train from Barrie, always been worth my trip.
Awesome experience. Nice guys. Answered my questions, was patient and really helped me out!
A landmark at Kensington Market. These guys are very knowledgeable about all things short/long/skateboards.
Longboard Living has always been a place I shop for new threads, their style is on point. The owner Ryan has a real love and passion for boarding and it shows in the quality of this shop. Go there, its tangible!
I ve been living in the market for a couple years now and have always wanted to get a board but kept putting it off every summer. Finally walked in and was looking for something for a beginner and Ryan really helped me out. I was debating between two boards and he gave me the pros and cons about the board I had my eye on, while also recommending one he thought was perfect for me. He also helped me learn how to have proper stance on the board. I was leaning more towards a cheaper one and he let me try both to see how they felt. He understood my budget and was very much willing to work with me and answered all my questions. I ended up getting the board he recommended and I couldn t be happier, rides so smooth. Definitely recommend!!
***GO TO LONGBOARD HAVEN INSTEAD***
Longboard Living Employee never made eye contact nor did they put their phone down the whole time we were in the store.
Didn't answer any of my partner's questions about wheels or bearings.
Employee seemed agitated that we asked for a bag after making a $110 purchase.
Employee made it clear we were not welcome and behaved as though we were a burden for shopping in their store.
My partner and I will never shop at Longboard Living again.
TL;DR - Go to LONGBOARD HAVEN instead, better product, better prices, way better people.
I had to give this store a huge five-star praise today. I used to lose confidence in the longboard. I even wanted to return it, but the YouTube channel of longboard living let me know the true meaning of skateboarding. I am very grateful to them, although I will fall, but I will stand up again i love longboard living

Went there the other day to buy some hardware for my board, the staff was very polite and they helped me out very quickly. I orignally went in to just buy some screws but they even helped me tighten my board, all this within 5min, highly recommend this place.
I come out to Toronto every few months from London for work and try to ride my board(s) while in town. This place is great, it might be small but don't let that put you off. They will have everything you want/need. Plus, local business? the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the store was randomly cramped with something else happening and it was weird. Also the owner is awesome but (and please forgive me for this) a slightly cheerier/less condescending attitude wouldn't hurt.
Only place to get all your electric skateboard needs in Toronto! Ryan goes above and beyond for his customers! Cool energy in the heart of artsy hip neighborhood!
Beautiful art on the boards, but it's the knowledgeable and friendly staff that keeps me coming back.
horrible, just horrible. I ordered a boosted board from them. which was supposed to be delivered in 2 days. they told me that it may take a little longer (couple more days) for them to figure out the shipping, I reassured them that it was fine. I payed the extra shipping fee that they asked for with no questions asked. 2 weeks go by and nothing, I got sick of it so I contacted the shipping company myself and in 10 mins I found out stuff they didn't in two whole week. exactly a month after the order I sent them emails complaining and they didn't even reply and just refunded me without saying anything. I can t judge they seem to be a good longboard store but don't order online please. and I noticed all they are free for is to reply to the reviews online like a 14 year old girl replying to the haters comments on IG. depressing (I hope you stay safe during this crisis)
Nice place, went there with zero knowledge about skateboards, owner was helpful with suggestions.
Walked in and got some great advice on options of upgrading my skateboard. He recommended calling ahead to make sure someone is in the shop as the hours aren't completely correct
Bought some Bones Speed Cream here, and chatted with the staff for a good while. They're very friendly and up-front. I trust them!
Longbord Living is a cool little shop in Kensington. My brother and i have been shopping there since they opened. Check them out!
Very unique store with a vide variety of boards! Owner is very friendly and helped me to choose the perfect board :) Thank you !
It's ok, a good experience but isn't a perfect place.
Ordered online, item was shipped out the same day. Excellent service.
I purchased longboards for both my sons in 2010 when the shop first opened. Since then I have become great friends with the owner and fully endorse the longboard living brand. Keep on Pushing!
So kind, helpful, and a great place to buy longboards of all kinds
Amazing! Staff is very knowledgeable and won't make fun or laugh. Good store!
Cool staff, knowledgeable and great products. Longboards and electric longboards galore!
Super nice owner and very knowledgeable about their gear.
I Recently purchased the inboard m1 from the team here I was told I would only be able to squize 8-10km out of the board on one charge with a single battery. But much to my surprise I was able to get 9.6km and still have 25% charge remaining on the board!!!. 10/10 would recommend this shop to any experienced rider or beginner they were great help and gave great info. I will be back for more accessories and batteries so I can travel even further and skate even more. Thanks for the great help!
When I was here 2 years ago I wasn't to fond of it. Small shop with custom boards for the most part. 2 years later I come back and find out these guys have done a lot for the community and have expanded with lots of more boards and equipment. The guy working there sold me a very nice new board. One I wasn't used to. Called back the day after with some concerns and he gladly recommended what kind of setup I would need to comfortably ride on my new deck. Sure enough he was right . No wheel bite no slippage just pure comfort. I'd like to thank the shop and I will be back for new wheels. Support local shops and go skate
Cool place, the staff was knowledgeable and prices were good. Only complaint would be the selection is kinda limited but it's a very small shop so it's decent.
I had bought a V2 boosted board a few years back and now just recently an Evolve GTR, and Ryan showed patience and professionalism answering all of my many questions regarding boards, was very knowledgable and helpful and can definitely meet all your basic and more advanced skateboard needs; recommended
Ryan is the man when it comes to satisfying his customers and selling high quality products
Seller very friendly and accommodating for travelers
Mellow, patient and really knowledgeable guy who owns and works there made my daughter and me feel good about our visit. Helpful with getting padded and answered all our questions. Prices were reasonable and beat the competition for the things we bought. We even scored a few sweet stickers. Whether you're skateboarding or longboarding, we recommend you check this place first!
If you need a board in Downtown Toronto, look no further. Ryan, the owner hooked me up with some great stuff. He spends time, figuring out what you need and recommends the best.
Massive respect on the good vibes solid peoples chyea
I highly recommend this shop for any longboarding or longboard/skateboard related items. Ryan or anyone else in the shop always gives their recommendations with honesty and tailored to what your personal needs may be.
I've never felt compelled to write a Google review before, but the service was too top notch here not to.
Supremely helpful staff who also had a dope idea to make my griptape look tight, even though I didn't but the my deck or griptape at the shop. Just the wheels.
5 stars...Longboard Living staff are some real ones.
Great shop in the heart of Kensington. Bought a boosted board from here and had a couple of problems with it early on. Brought it to them and they fixed the issues for me on the spot in a couple of minutes. Glad to see they stand behind the products they sell. Thanks so much.
Great service knowledgeable staff that were very helpful to a newby in the sport. Don't let the small store deceive you they have an appropriate range of quality products. Very happy customer :)
Great selection on boards, super awesome staff, good prices and in the heart of kensington market.... Keep it up man!
Best place in toronto for all your longboard needs !! Super friendly people and they work for the longboard community.. happy to see shops like these
great demo. great availability. great deal. Just picked up a mini x and couldn't be more happier to purchase it from these guys.
My brother and I both bought boards from here, my brother got his board with new trucks, bearings, wheels and etc for a total of $160 and when I went I got my (very used) board with previously owned trucks, bearings and etc for over the price of $160, when I told them my what my brother got and the owner said "ok cool" and was just rude and unhelpful. Kinda wish there was better customer service for a place in Kensington. Don't go here unless you want a terribly designed board with a "longboard living" logo slapped onto it to make seem cool. Longboard Haven is your best bet for newbies.
Great guy and nice shop. Penny, regular skateboard, longboard and electric boards
I have been shopping here for 2 years now and it is a great store! Although it is a small store, it is well maintained and has great customer service. When a product is not in the shop they will specifically order it in for you as they did for my loaded vanguard and ceramic bones bearings. One time I got to the store 5 minutes before closing and he stayed after closing to grip my board and just charged me for the cost of the grip tape. When loosing a small piece of hardware such as a washer or bolt they did not charge me for a replacement. Overall this is my favourite long boarding stores in Toronto with out a doubt.
I had a problem with my skateboard a clicking noise that I couldn't fix. Although I hadn't bought my board from Longboard Living, they fixed the problem for me for free :) Great service.
