WestMass ElderCare, Inc. Review

The process of having my son evaluated for services was awful. The nurse who was supposed to come to my house for initial service evaluation told me over the phone "this is my second job and my other job is my priority. I can only schedule your appointment at 12:00 and then be at your house at 3:00 -3:30." This nurse would, if she found out during her morning at her other job that she had an afternoon opening, would call me at noon and attempt to make an afternoon appointment. This went on for a couple weeks until I had enough of trying to make an appointment this way, and called the company to explain couldn't make an appointment with three hours notice. They assigned a different nurse to my case. I had to again accomadate this new nurses tight availablility. I agree on an appointment time with her that was just as my son was getting off the bus, I specifically explained that My son's bus could possibly be late and to please be patient. The day of the appt. My son's bus was five min late. The nurse went home after she knocked on my door because I didn't answer. She Didn't bother calling me, or taking a look around, she would had to have seen other kids getting off of busses. I called to reschedule and 'I' was given grief by a supervisor for missing an appointment!!!!! It took over FOUR MONTHS to get my son evaluated. Then I waited for an additional month for the results. I had to call them for the results! only to be told "you should have gotten a letter in the mail......your son doesn't qualify." I can not think of a bigger waste of time and effort, not to mention what a P.I.T.A. the whole process was. The process didn't need to be hard.

Western Mass Adult Elder Care is a foster adult care with placement for different level of care as per clients needs. Its a private agency with their own staffing to meet the clients and families peace of mind. Staffing include Nurses case manager, supervisors etc. Standard Mass Healthcare is one requirement.

They provide many services for Seniors and disabled people, including meals on wheels.

Rosemary is lovely and has been a wonderful help to my mother.

haven't been here but from the ratings it looks like a really good place

They tell you an hour to go to the house and they don't even show up less they call to canselar. that they did not send that paper to tempus that is irresponsible

Good place to work. Decent.pay and mileage reimbursement.
