I had an extremely long and stressful process of extending my Tier 1 General Visa which started in summer 2012 and happily ended just in Feb 2014. It's been 2 appeals, 3 refusals overall including my initial application and filing a new application in 2014 from scratch which finally has been approved.

Fantastic Experience- It was very important for me to choose the right Firm to represent me. I was really concerned and highly skeptical about finding and choosing Immigration Solicitors whom are competent and highly devoted to client needs, one would think... you better go off with a referral but no i did not. Personally I don't like writing negative reviews online. It is often too easy to criticise, but in this case I almost feel it is my duty to share my experience with the firm, and of course with their prospective clients.
In February 2019 the Home Office sent us what we believed to be an incorrect decision on my wife's visa extension application (FLR-M). The Home Office believed we did not meet the financial requirement.
I promptly arranged an initial consultation with Rosy Romano at Westkin Associates, who looked through our entire financial documentation and the decision letter we received. She advised me that the only course of action would be to send a "pre-action protocol" letter to the Home Office, and potentially follow-up with a judicial review.
I don't want to disclose their prices, but for us this option was prohibitively expensive so we decided not to proceed and resigned ourselves to the decision.
A few days later I decided to comb through the Home Office guidance in detail and there was nothing in there that said we couldn't send a "letter of reconsideration" in relation to our case. So just 3 days before the 14 day deadline to send this letter, we did so. It felt like a stab in the dark but was our last resort.
The Home Office subsequently replied saying they would reconsider the decision, and requested our initial supporting documentation. We sent this back promptly and yesterday we were notified by the Home Office that the decision made in February was incorrect and has now been rectified & backdated.
Of course we are now very happy, but I am frankly astonished that this wasn't picked up by Rosy Romano at Westkin. How on earth can a qualified immigration lawyer miss this?
I contacted Westkin Associates in march last year when my previous immigration lawyers got my Tier 1 application refused due to their lack of knowledge in this particular visa category. Westkin Associates charged me much less for the application, were ten time more helpful and really professional in what they were dealing with.
