Wonderful hotel, spacious room, lots of pool & restaurants, amazing service. Highly recommend great value for money with lovely access to beach.
If you have a family its got good entertainment for children.

We visited this hotel just for an evening meal. We sat outside, which I found to be too cold. The menu offered a number of healthy choices. I chose a healthy pizza and regretted it. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, so I guess that I m hard to please!

Facilities of the hotel is good, though check-in was incredibly bad, and recognition for (at the time) spg Platinum Members was not great

The best thing about Barasti is their dress code. If you just want to have fun without stressing yourself what to wear and surely will let you in, go to this place.

Wonderful resort with great staff! Very accommodating! Best staff I ve meet at a resort; allowed us early check in, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great diverse selection of foods. Lots of restaurants and venues close by to relax and enjoy. Usually we like to leave the resort to explore the area but we enjoyed the resort so much we didn t want to leave! Will definitely stay here again and have recommended to friends :) Thanks for a great stay!

AWESOME ROOMS, AMAZING STAFF AND VERY ENJOYABLE FACILITIES

Some friends and I went to Barasti on Thursday for their Bingo Loco night. We decided to come an hour early so that we could have dinner before the festivities started. After dinner we had already spent 900 aed in this establishment and as we walked over to our seats for the bingo, the security let us go in and join our friends that were already in after they checked that we had tickets. Our friends and us were the first people in so their wasn t much commotion.. But suddenly the manager (Adam?) came over raising his voice at us about how we need to go to the front and we are not supposed to be here. When we tried to explain that his own security let us in, he continued to yell at us to leave and then yell at his own security. To be frank, I almost demanded a refund right then and there as it was completely unprofessional and not the way you should treat someone who has spent that much money in your restaurant and has not done anything wrong. On the way out, I went to apologize to the bouncer that got yelled at because of us and he told me this manager was the GM and was too scared to tell me his name but i think ( mohamed ali ) its bad manager . I have come to Barasti since 2011, but I will never be coming back because of this man and the way he spoke to us. Too bad, the rest of the night was fun. But in tough times like these I would rather spend my money in places that appreciate my business and know how to treat their team.

and we will be in September 2019 for the third time
Back at Le meridien Mina se .... spend our vacation. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we can only recommend it. We're really looking forward to it, we always felt very welcome there. And we think that won't have changed.

Barasti Beach Bar - the best weekend plan when the weather allows

Wonderful staff, really pleasant Hotel, with amazing facilities. We had a lovely surprise when we walked in to find a Towel Peacock on our bed. The food is excellent and even the toiletries in the rooms are of an outstanding quality. However the beach, whike it's clean and well kept, doesn't feel like being on the sea... More like a still lake! I would come back here, no doubt.

They need a better changing rooms buts it's good overall

Beautiful territory, lots of greenery. Beautiful view of Dubai Marina. On this pros run out. Dirty sea because of the dust from the neighboring construction projects, there are stones underfoot. The staff each time manages to spoil the mood, whether from the inability to speak English, or they are taught to be rude to people. You can go to the beach once to take a picture, there is no longer any reason to spend money there.

Overlooking the Persian Gulf, this high-end, beachfront hotel is 4 km from the Emirates Golf Club, 9 km from Wild Wadi Water Park and 10 km from the Mall of the Emirates.

Elegant rooms feature gulf views, flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi (fee). Most have balconies. Suites add separate sitting rooms and access to a club lounge with free food and Wi-Fi; 1 has a private roof terrace.

There are 5 restaurants and bars including a French brasserie, a Japanese eatery and a beach bar. Other amenities include a private beach, 5 outdoor pools and 4 tennis courts. There's also a gym, a kids' club, a spa at a neighboring hotel and a water sports center.

Top service, professional staff, great deals and great parties.

One of the older 5 star properties in Dubai. Supremely located on the beach near Dubai Marina. It is a shame that the Dubai harbour construction is taking place in just in front. We managed to snag a deal that just couldn't be beat. 600 aed per night for the 5 of us Full-Board. There are a couple of excellent restaurants notably Bussula and Sui Mui. The meal itself in these places already more then made up for the room rate and then some. Usually we might spend that in an evening out. Usually hotels will full board do not have good dining options but here it really did. The hotel is dated however and was closed for a few months due to CoVID this led to a couple hiccups. On the first day our room lock was broken and the 5 of us spent 1 hour sitting on the hallways floor waiting for it to be fixed. The best compensation we were offered in exchange was a tea or coffee. Which should never be used as compensation in a service recovery attempt especially for an error of this magnitude. It's just insulting.
Otherwise, we found most of the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. As well as very attentive. A couple of the waiters in the restaurants seemed genuinely disinterested and unhappy. But given the current global situation for service workers, and the fact that many are on reduced pay or only casual staff, this can be expected. But 90% of our service encounters with all the staff from hostesses, the housekeeping, to security guards; was very positive and we found them to be kind and caring. Again especially despite what working conditions they may (or not) be experiencing. The pool at the Westin, which we had access to is a fun feature and a unique design for Dubai. It's long and allows people to be spread out. There are also alot of garden and beach areas, which we did not use due to the heat. Friday was full full full or kids everywhere and anyone looking to avoid this can use the adults only section of the same pool.
It's not the most modern hotel anymore and the beach view is rather spoiled, plus there is another big construction going up next door which tended to rattle the room itself. But for the current rates that include full board on some really fantastic restaurants, and the mostly extremely friendly and kind staff; this hotel is definitely a must go. Extremely fantastic value for money, food and services. We will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely love this hotel and have been many times. All the staff are great, friendly yet professional, the rooms are great with comfy beds! The food is great plus the hotel surroundings & facilities are amazing. They also have an excellent gym which we use daily. We think its the best location in Dubai. The kids love the pool & we love the beach so its perfect!

Good hairdryer available in the room. Roomkeeping comes by up to 3 times a day. (you can also cancel - a little too much of a good thing - then they donate something to a good cause or you get a discount)

The perfect family hotel in Dubai. I recommend. Pay attention to the chips of the numbers on the concept of the Club.

One of the best experiences I've ever had. Ever.
A free shuttle service takes you around the resort with multiple pools and activities. There's a childrens club that features a form of playground and different activities including a tour around the hotel, letting you see back-stage which itself is a one in a lifetime experience for many people.

The hotel even features a private beach, allowing for comfortable space in the sand. Oh, did I tell you that the shuttle service is a golf kart?

For people who wants to enjoy swimming and water sports, this resort is one of the best in Dubai. Too many things to do, you never feel board. Amazing Gym, swimming pool, bars, restaurants, and night club.

Dissatisfaction Factory!
I warn every traveller with this review!

I was in this hotel for 2 weeks and was happy to see my house again. Let me explain why:
1. The air conditioner is effectively not working as it blows the same freaking cold air all the time even if the temperature is adjusted. it simply blows a bit less.
2. The beds are simply uncomfortable and I know that this is a subjective opinion what this review is all about. They are too hard for average people (80kg) and 120kg people do feel the springs.
3. Windows are dirty from the outside and nearly all fugues are either filled with dust or other black stuff (as i don't know any better would say it is mold, because it covered most of the visible fugues in the wet areas of the room {Bathroom})
Due to the bad water quality you need to brush your teeth with drinking water and the 1,5 liter water which is provided daily but forgotten often is simply not enough. Furthermore the minibar prices are Dubai-like SUPER-HIGH!
4. The beach with the ocean water is actually very dirty and the ocean water smells like a pond and there is no water movement at all, so the water quality does not change a lot. Huge amounts of seaweed can be added and the visibility in the water equals maybe half a meter. The water quality in the hotel pool was also quite bad as it was not filtered, but it was only salted a little. Actually i saw how some hotel staff put a big white stone in a hole in the earth through which water was running. (Expect it to be the only cleaning mechanism)
Also the pool area was very dirty and only cleaned once a week. But the green places there were more than beautiful.

And now to the thing that annoyed me the most and thats why I only ate in the buffet restaurant once:
Every food bowl is placed in a way, so that you cannot put your plate down to put some food on it...
The lids are normally closed and you need to open them with one hand and holding the plate with the other hand. Now you need a third hand to put the food on you plate as there is no freaking place to put the lid.

Positive:
1. There are two hotels combined with multiple restaurants, all of which were delicious.
2. the Green area in the hotel was super clean and looked very nice
3. At least water in the room was complimentary
4. A complimentary gym
5. a beach bar

in short:
If you don't really care about dirty rooms and dirty water but will run around in the city instead, it is a decent place which will cost you good money. For city vacation you could get a hotel which is closer to the city.

For all kind of people: I cannot recommend this hotel!

We stayed her in August 2019 as we transferred through Dubai. The buffet breakfast was great with an awesome selection. Easy checkin and checkout, the rooms are showing their age a bit. The pool area is good too.

Coupled with their sister property; The Westin, you are invited to use both facilities as a guest at either. Great variety of restaurants and things to do, excellent location with supermarket and tram station across the road (must take the bridge). Let down slightly by road noise and nightclub otherwise could've been a 5*

A mainstay of Dubai Marina nightlife. Great clubs and restaurants. A definite go to.

Price quality a must. I would like to stay here a little longer.

My best place to chill on summertime. Nice food, peaceful place.
