Room was nice and large. Couple weird things: two fridges, and shampoo and lotion in about five different locations. Jacuzzi tub was okay but not all jets were working right and it was loud. Also the water didn't drain completely due to the bucket seat design. Bed was very comfy. More soundproofing needed for the building overall. We could hear everything from the hall and other rooms. Breakfast at the casino was very good.

Very disappointing experience. I've eaten there several times & it has been a great experience. This time however the staff was rude , we were served 4th in line but ordered 1st , 2 slices of pizza & anything order if fries. The order was incomplete, then it was thrown together in one box. The food was good though

This is a good, smaller casino with a hotel that is nice. Seems like more winning going on at the machines than other places, and as a bonus you can use comps from the Peppermill here, and vice versa. Decent comp program, and an awesome steakhouse and above average resturaunts make this one of my favorite casinos.

Stayed here at end of August 2015 on way to Burning Man. Do not expect much and it will not let you down. Some of the hotel is a little frayed round the edges and the eateries smell of smoking from the gaming area. Had the chance to look at a number of rooms, all acceptable although the whole place had shades of Tarantino road movie (not necessarily a bad thing but you wouldn't want to honeymoon here). For the price acceptable and the staff make the place.

King suite, comfy and quiet, recently remodeled room(view of marina aka ole Helms pit ) Some shotty workmanship on the tile work, but overall decent room. Elevator was hinky so used stairs most. Had issues with reservations. Booked 4 nights, but after 1st day we were told to get out. Thankfully front desk did realize their error and we kept our room. Had issue getting a receipt for room, after 3 phone calls & a voicemail left at accounting(none were returned), did a online survey they sent me. Mentioned the receipt in survey, and thanks to Monika the issued was resolved immediately and we are happy. Poncho and Willie's was Awesome, exceptional service and excellent drinks, and food (2 chicken tacos and hubby had cheese enchilada with tamale, beans and rice, all the regular sides etc) were delicious!
I only wished I had room for deep fried ice cream, maybe next time
Overall 4 stars and will recommend Western Village!

Pros: clean room and comfy room, (COVID-19) everyone was wearing a mask, in the casino and hotel, parking was easy but I know it can get bad, we were lucky, customer service was on point. Cons: could get a little loud

I was completely impressed with this hotel/casino. We reserved a king standard room for two nights with an early check in. CDL rate at $40 per night. The room was very spacious and clean. Windows opened up to a nice view of the lake. Bed was comfortable (only suggestion to mgmt would be that they could upgrade the pillows. They were kind of flat) Large flat screen TV. Bathroom had everything we needed and the big tile shower was very nice. The Keurig machine in the room was a plus. We gambled the first night and was awarded enough comps on our players passport cards that breakfast and dinner the next day were free. We ate in the Bellini cafe (open 24 hours) and both meals were very good. Especially the breakfast. Prices were reasonable for the huge portions they serve. They gave you freshly baked bread too. There were two other restaurants as well, a steak house which we heard was one of the best in the area. And a Mexican style restaurant too. Also a little cafe in the gambling area that you could order quick bites like salads, soup bowls, pizza, fries and gelato.
Only downfall with the casino area is their ATM machine had a mess up and charged us a $7 fee for cash withdraw one time. We brought this to the mgmt attention and they gave us two free drink tickets, $2 off food purchase coupon and two entry tickets to their weekly drawing.

Food is always good. The machines could be a little looser and the buttons in working order. It seems that you tell them and the buttons are still not working. Give the power to security to stop people from beating up the buttons and the screens. I literary saw a Spanish woman beat the machine soo bad the screen moved forward.

Everything was great except my door would not lock from closing the door you could push the door wide open. Other than that it was great. I did love the $2 blackjack., the room rate was very reasonable and the food is great.

We were planning to have some Mexican food but the place doesn't open until 4pm so end up coming here. Twenty five minutes wait time to get a table. Another 20 minutes to get service then another 15 minutes to get your food. Don't come on Sunday.
