This theater complex embedded at Hartnell College is the best in the tri-county area. Parking is plentiful, the seating on the 500+ seat Main Stage is comfortable and the recently upgraded sound system makes this a superior environment to see a show. The smaller, more intimate 100 seat Studio or black box theater serves as a much more immersive experience. Their program choices can range from family friendly to subversive adult themes so check for content warnings before booking your seat. Yes this is community theater with the occasional Equity actor and behind scene talent, but the programs are showcases for both young talent and the more mature. The stage is currently (spring 2018) undergoing renovation to their lobby, but don't let this dissuade you from attending. You could miss out on some of the best theater south of San Francisco!

I have seen many musicals here for the past 10 or so years. All the musicals are greatly produced. For a Community College the musicals and actors are top notch. Saw Evita 2 weeks ago and I was overly pleased. Malinda DeRouen (Eva Peron) is spectacular!! I will be going again this weekend with my husband. Can't wait!

Experienced the theatre by watching Young Frankenstein. The only negatives were the bathroom doors were incredibly heavy to open and the orchestra music drowned out some of the actors voices.

Young Frankenstein the Musical. Very well done, simple, yet effective sets, fun choreography, great singing, good acting, hats off to the director and the support staff too. I definitely will come again.

Good community theater productions. I've attended many shows at Western Stage over the years, as well as participating as a cast member in a couple of shows. The seating was redone in the past couple if years and there is plenty of leg room!

The stage play 'HAIR' is excellent. There is continuous action going on from start to finish. good song's, singing, dancing, costumes and live band. I would give the play five stars if not for the profanity throughout. I advise you read other review's prior to attending. I enjoyed it but some folks left the theater during intermission.

I'm watching the live stage performance of The Miracle Worker. Act I just ended. It was terrific! It's a very intimate venue, putting you up close to the actors. If you have a chance, see one of the plays here. Better yet, buy the season. ... Act II was even better!
