The Actors Collective is such a great resource for performing artists. I have self-taped here numerous times, and my reps are always really happy with both the quality and my reads. I have Brad and Mark to thank for that, because their coaching has helped me to hone my performances and really put my best foot forward. They have such a good attitude, great insights on the sides, and so what could be a nerve-wracking experience of taping becomes fun and easier because they set the tone with their energy. The studio is clean, they are really good at getting back to me quickly if I have a question, and the whole process is efficient. And who can beat the price?! Actors have so many costs we have to incur in our careers, but these self tapes are reasonable and the quality is fantastic! They are my go-to every time an audition comes in. Highly recommend!

Finding the right place to get my headshots taken as a Los Angeles Actor has been an investment of literally THOUSANDS of dollars and years of my time. Finding a place with quality self-tapes and great coaching has also been quite the journey.

I'm SO FREAKING HAPPY that The Actor's Collective exists, because they're my go-to, one-stop shop for everything now. Brad and Mark took GORGEOUS and AFFORDABLE (yes, they CAN exist in the same sentence) headshots of me that I'm proud to share and really feel represent ME. When I book for self tape appointments, their readers are absolutely lovely, professional and great at their jobs -- I especially love getting coaching with Brad with my self tape sessions!

I'm like Ron Swanson when it comes to reviews - I don't recommend people lightly, but in this case, I can't recommend The Actor's Collective enough. This is like a guarantee. Believe the hype - they're awesome!

The prices for what they do are so reasonable. I feel truly grateful and blessed to have found them. I audition with them frequently and my tapes always come out beautifully!

These guys are the utmost professional, and they know what they're doing!!

I love doing Self Tapes with Ac, the Quality of their videos are Fantastic. However, the Coaching is abysmal, and not just because the coach doesn't know how to bring out of an Actor what's needed for a role, but also because he spends about 20 minutes of your time bragging about how he's been in TV shows for 10 years and not enough time actually repping these takes in order to have enough time to watch them and choose the best one and or make adjustments as needed in the next take. I've gone to him a few times for coaching , and I have always felt like I haven't had the proper to time to both evaluate a take or put on a better performance in the next take. I'm not ever going to him again.

I have taken classes, done headshots, demo reels and needed advice from people in the biz and The Actor's Collective has done all of this for me spectacularly! They have helped me level up as an actor and I recommend them to EVERYONE I know.

This is hands down my favorite place to tape in LA. You can t beat the prices, the quality is perfect and Mark and Brad are SUCH pleasures to work with, and just all around good people. I try to tape all my auditions here! They create such a safe environment to try whatever I want and they give the best tips. Their coaching has gotten me callbacks!

Once you go here, you ll never go anywhere else! The moment I switched to The Actor s Collective for my self tapes, I started booking! Booked a guest star for a Hulu show and a co-star on Criminal Minds! At $15 for a 30-minute session, awesome Owners & employees, and two locations for the abundance of clients, I go here every time. And my vid is sent to me super quick at no extra charge. I ve been to a lot of self-tape places before this, but now I know better. This spot is home.
Also got headshots done here; great rates and they turned out great! My audition & booking numbers have increased dramatically thanks to Mark & Brad! This place is a diamond in the rough - 5 stars!

I joined last summer and started taking their on-camera acting classes every Saturday. Having been mostly a commercial actor, I had no idea how the TV/Film acting & auditioning process worked. It s a totally different beast!
They teach you every aspect of on-camera acting and auditioning for TV/Film. Every week you learn something new and you get in front of the camera at least twice each Saturday.

I have learned so much from Mark in the last eight months. Prior to joining, The Actors Collective, I was terrified of even submitting myself to shorts/features/student films, but now I not only submit myself, but I audition and I nail my auditions. I feel confident in my acting skills and I now trust myself to go into the audition room and implement what Mark has taught me.
If that isn t enough, they also shoot self-tapes, demo reels, & amazing headshots at the best rates in town! Trust me when I say, I ve spent an arm & a leg on headshots, but my favorites & the ones that get me into the audition room the most, are the ones that Mark took!

amazing experince to be there. wow not that they are only the most affordable place for self tape in L.A., but also the best quality. the lighting and set up was really good. there readers and camera person are so professional but super friendly and understanding at the same time. they sent back my tapes in half hour with perfect edit. Seriously I would totally come to this place every time whenever I need to self tape. I truly want to acknowledge the names of wonderful people and staff of Actors collective, Mark, Kelvin and Brad, who were just wonderful in assisting and guiding me with everything. it was for them that I could perform so wonderful, hats off to there professionalism. they started and ended audition right on point, no waiting or anything like that. This is by far the best self taping salon that I ve been to, the atmosphere is not only professional but it s focused, creative, warm and liberating! Theatrically you always want to give your creative best and the environment and atmosphere in which you create in is very important. The Actor s Collective is that place for me!

For taped auditions, I can't recommend these folks highly enough. Both Mark and Brad--with whom I've worked most often--are excellent videographers and superb readers. I've taped auditions for television, musical theatre, Shakespeare, new plays. Invariably, an hour or so after an appointment, I have a clean, professional looking clip which I can either download or send directly to my agents. The work is excellent, the facilities are neat and comfortable, and the prices are more than competitive.

This place is gold! Efficient, affordable, accessible, and always kind. They ve got it down like clockwork and it s run by wonderful people. I ve booked jobs from my tapes here. Such an incredibly valuable resource for actors in LA.

Quite simply the BEST self-taping facility in Los Angeles, hands-down. Not only can't their rates be beat, but Mark and Brad are also terrific actors/coaches in their own right, and so provide are able to provide their clients with top-notch readers. Their editing, lighting and sound are all flawless, and as if that weren't enough, the finished product is usually ready and waiting in your inbox by the time you get home! Can't say enough good things about this place.

I was the first appointment of the day. Mark was on time, professional, friendly, and informed about the project I was reading for. It's nice to be with a reader who did their homework. At $15, they are a bargain and a must use for any self-taped audition.

Brad and Mark are jems. I went in there very self conscious about getting headshots done, and theyvmade everything so hands on, fun, and were super easy to work with. They both had an amazing grasp on color and lighting and were true perfectionist, like myself. I could go on all day praising the actors collective. I ve gone to many self tape studios and I have to say that The Actors Collective is the best! They are there to support the actor. They don t nickel and dime you like some places. These days self tapes are a priority and can get expensive over time. Actors Collective has the best rates and their turn around time is very reasonable. Brad has taped me a couple times now, and I love playing in the scene with him. He gives the actor with his full attention and support. I just found out they do virtual reads too, if you re taping from home and need a reader. I will definitely be using them in the future and highly recommend them to my fellow actors. My one and only go-to place for selftapes! The staff is outstanding - I always know I m going to get top notch quality, sound, and most importantly... A GREAT READER. I m so glad I ve found them. $15 for 30 minutes, are you kidding me? Such an invaluable service to actors.

First of all, I just want to start off by saying this studio has hands down changed my life in the world of acting. I booked my first two network pilots here.

I have been in and out of acting classes and coaches and couldn t find the one that best fit me until I came here.

The coaching in SPOT ON, and I mean the proof is in the pudding because I am getting a positive outcome on my auditions.

Now, I m getting pinned and booking!!

The agents and managers have said that there is a DRASTIC improvement in my acting, and that switch came by doing all my self tapes here. The 30 minute coaching for $40 or the $65 for an hour really is worth the money.

Trust me.

I am a firm believer.

I am currently pinned for a network pilot and waiting for my final outcome tomorrow.

If I get it or not, the fact is that I m either booking or getting pinned which means that they are DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!

I LOVE THIS STUDIO AND I DONT WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Also, when they give me constructive criticism I don t feel bad about who I am, I feel motivated to do better.

Quick, reasonably priced, always professional. An invaluable resource (quality audition taping) for any actor - even more so in the age of quarantine.

Actors Collective is an actors paradise! Great self-tape quality, incredible coaching, and an overall positive environment to hone your craft. No gimmicks. No Hype. Great feedback. I have personally taped there approximately 20 times. Resulting in 7 callbacks and 3 bookings! That s pretty great! Love the ease of online booking.

This is a great studio that helps actors in EVERY way! I got my demo reels done here and they are shot with 4k cameras and are completely professional sets. I am taking On Camera Auditioning and Mark Dougherty, man who runs the place, is genius! If you want to be a better actor, learn the business side of the industry, and want a demo to stand out The Actors Collective is where you need to go!!

I've been on set with Mark. I've utilized the The Actor's Collective for self-tape services. I can tell you without a doubt that he takes the same high level of pride in this business as he does in his acting. Having known Brad for a few years now I can say he is equally dedicated to giving the finest level of service. I trust these two with any opportunities that come my way where I need a self-tape, and have even connected them with my representation who now recommend them almost exclusively (possibly exclusively).

I won't even consider another self tape studio.

These guys are awesome! Very professional and punctual. I recently did a second self tape through them because the first experience was great. Good lighting, quality cameras, plus the fact you're reading with a fellow actor, helps add more life to the scene, instead of using a lifeless reader. With top notch editing (somewhat cinematic feel) and fast turnaround, I know that at the very least, my audition will be ready for Casting ON TIME with a professional look and feel.

Btw, if you can spare the extra coin for the coaching, I would highly recommend it.

This place has a close spot in my heart. I've been acting forever and when I graduated highschool, I lost my Theatrical family. I soon found another family here at the collective. I attend these classes not just because it is good to train my acting muscles, but because of the collective family you gain from attending. I love this place and I'm sure you will too.
