Been with this company for almost 4 yrs now,for the most part it's been a great experience so far, great dispatch team to work with.the only problem I have is getting repairs done on the Rd, they always want you to come to the OKC shop, which is fine as long as it's nothing major, but driving without a/c when it's over 90 deg. Outside for over2 weeks before I get to the shop to me is not acceptable, but I managed, besides that a great company to work for

My husband is starting to work here I stopped in and did some laundry 2wash 2 dry fyi and checked out the trucker's lounge and showers not too bad a lot of room snacks coffee microwave refrigerator comfortable chairs TV table chairs the place seems to be pretty organized and the lot is clean we'll see how it goes I'll keep you posted
Western Flyer has hands down the most beautiful, fully loaded equipment on the road. Their equipment is designed to truly give you the comforts of home while you are out on the road. Their lease purchase program is zero down with NO balloon payment! $1 buyout. Very driver focused carrier!
Only been here a short time but so far I am very pleased. There s plenty of miles, the equipment is great and haven t had any issues in pay. Just as any company they have their policies, which is expected anywhere ya go. I have had normal trucking delays and difficulties, but, that s trucking. Hope to have a long and prosperous working relationship here.
I give them 2 stars for the equipment. the rest is horrible. I was on a dedicated run home daily, they forced me to take per diem even though it's illegal. You get paid for mileage and that's it. No holidays no vacation mileage pay is nowhere near the indusry standard. They tell you one thing and do they're best to make you quit. I was a company driver and they make no distinctioin between contract drivers which they call " Owner Operators' after they pay twice the amount for the truck. DO THE MATH. Worst place i have ever worked in my career.PS I still have'nt been paid what they have owed me for over a month.
So let me start by saying i have 13 yrs experience driving OTR I'm also a alternate board member for OOIDA in Massachusetts. So I have some experience. Vickie is my recruiter great personality she'll answer all your questions & not sugar coat anything. So I'm going to do multi level post I'll update & add to this review as I go through the process. I'm doing a Northeast regional lease purchase so hopefully there's enough miles running the east coast and not a steady diet of New York city and Philadelphia because if we are not make money and getting miles this will be a short relationship lol. I drive to make revenue not sit in traffic or shippers or receivers but I also know there is a learning curve with anything. So I will post again once I get there Wednesday and get a truck picked out. I'll restart my YouTube account also havevagreat friday & weekend
LOL! Thanks for the honest feedback. I am sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your experience as an owner operator at WFX. We work hard to see that every owner operator is treated fairly while still meeting our customers needs. LOL! I love a company that has an easy copy/paste answer to any & every complaint! BTW... your trucks are awesome. I just looked up this website by typing the link on an awesome truck parked next to me at a Loves.
I tried them for a few weeks, lease program. Excellent! Fantastic miles, Great equipment, busy, busy, busy. I had to leave for medical reasons, and they were very understanding . Ive been with alot of carriers in my 28 yrs in the industry, and If you want to run hard, this is the place.
I've been driving for this company for a little over a year. Every person I talked to in the office treats me like I'm a important person. This company keeps me extremely busy. I have every intention of working for this company for a very long time.
So far so good. I will give five stars once I get everything that's missing from the truck that I was assigned. This will show me how concerned they are of me being a driver for the company.
I drove for a company who was leased onto Western Flyer. Western Flyer was unable to give me the miles and the maintenance department was not good at all. They also had a lot of issues with the electronic logs.
First, I want to emphasize how awful of an agent Daniel Torres is. Not sure how he is employed with this company. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY AS A CARRIER UNLESS YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET PAID. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT PROVIDE POD OR BOL AND WHEN REQUESTING PAYMENT, DENIES ALL FORMS OF PAYMENTS. UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOESN'T KNOW LEFT FROM RIGHT HAND.
It's amazing how anyone can write anything about any company, good or bad without recourse. So my advice is to take ALL REVIEWS as entertainment and not factual.
There recruiting requirements are a joke. And they're recruiters that they use are a joke. Very un-honest people. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this company.
Been at WFX for almost a week now and I'm happy I get to run where I like(out west) I will update when I go longer in the company but I do have one thing to say they tell u how it is and I like that. All they want you to do is be responsible and do ur job. Kudos to WFX. Ok update.... I am still here and loving every minute of it. To the owner thank you for for this opportunity.
Love this company they give me the miles im in the lease purchase program would give 5 stars but this week i have been on a load all week due to planners and the shippers messing up the load then get to the delivery today and the whole load is rejected said its due to quality of the product i need to do a 34 hr restart and they want me to run this load to indiana and i am in wisconsin and i have a preplan for monday to get me home for an appt my wife cant miss with her heart specialist ive already lost money wont even make a paycheck next week very upset about this
I want to share something to everyone. I wrote a bad review about WFX. Well just to let you know I still don't work there but I want to apologize for what i said. Just cause I was mad does not mean I can just say what I want to say. I will say this I made good miles and had a great fleet manager. If that is what your looking for they would be where you need to go. Take from me I been on the other side it not greener.
Good company. I leased a truck from them and I drive as a contractor in the Texas division. Free DirecTV in the trucks. Good miles. Great lease. Even better people.
I was with them for about 8 week and this 1099 says I made 29,965.29 this is harassmen, and will be filed as such.I was in there shop on there property for a full week or more, they just wanted me to recover there trucks from other place for low pay, they should be shamed for there tactics,I can bet you they are part of the homeless problem there.
Western Flyer Express is a fantastic place to work. I have been an OTR driver since 1978 and it has been a great year so far with WFX. I believe in Safety and Customer Service and Western Flyer has that as a goal also. I was hired to be a Local Driver in Los Angeles and my days are filled with the wonderful southern California weather and beautiful palm trees. Great group of Professionals there in Oklahoma City...........
This company is sorry! They tell nothing but lies and try to play you! The driver manager we had was Cameron and when I say HE was the worst ever best thing they could have ever did was void our contract and we went to another company! They put that we violated the company policy Lmaooo but how did MY HUSBAND AND I violate the company policy! This company wants you to bow down to them and that DEFINITELY was not going to happen! By the way lying to companies didn t stop us from getting another job! If anybody needs a job that pays good go to summit express they pay 3xs more than these folks and they don t act like their co workers don t do any wrong! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND YOU WILL NOT GET PAID AT ALL! OH DID I MENTION THEY CALLED THE COPS ON US BECAUSE THEY TRIED TO PLAY US AND THEY WANTED TO PULL THE IM SO SCARED OF BLACK PPL AND OF COURSE THEY WANTED TO PULL THE WHITE CARD BUT GUESS WHAT THE COP SIDED WITH US AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Haha joke was on you! It was CHRIS THE ONE WHO WALK WITH A LIMP!
The only thing that caught my interest is those gorgeous w900 kenworth trucks I've seen of yours on the road. My only question is why even have any puke freightliners when the kenworth is a much better truck also much better looking! I have it pretty good where I already work I'm home every week for 2 days my pay is great my miles are 3,200 average every week, I would love to drive a w900 thats a great way to attract a better breed of drivers but you might want to change alot of things to keep them happy because based on the reviews I've read y'all don't seem that great to work for and I garuntee you can't match what I have currently! Bummer that I have to keep driving a 579 pete to be treated fairly but oh well.
Ive never ran so many miles for so little money just to have issues getting that little bit every week. Driving 38k in 3 montha netted like 8k on lp. Youve been warned. I also haven't been paid in a month and thier actual employees will not give you a call back or fix anything.
Great place to work and have your own truck.I have a great dispatcher Anna that works to get me home when need. I stay out 3 to 4 weeks at a time. Over 72000 miles in last 6 months they have the miles.
The worst company to contract with your just a glorified company driver paying more for a lease than any other company. On top of that you give away 250 or more a week for a so called warranty and it's never seen again. I am praying that word gets out and this company goes out of business. Left me stranded with all my stuff in the truck in Oklahoma city and almost cost me my cdl. I will be posting about this company on all of the Facebook truckers groups so other people don't get screwed over by u wfx.
Was told i could pick my truck even promised a truck get thier was told we dont have any of those available plus u dont have experiance, after i leave im told i have experiance and guess what a truck i was promised magically comes available GET UR HEAD IN THE GAME. ITS CALLED COMMUNICATION
Truth can hurt but GOOD truth in THIS industry can encourage and elevate humans. Well there are some awesome humans at WFX. ***prerequisite to my post*** IF you do not want to work hard for what you want;don t apply IF you do not want to make sacrifices for the greater good of your future;don t apply IF you don t have a solid plan to budget, make good financial decisions - yep you guessed it don t apply.
BUT if you want a place that will propel you into real ownership with the best support, motivation, honesty and transparency? Then NOW you can apply. We ve been in the industry two years. Felt like we worked hard but wanted more to show for our drive, energy and persistence for excellence. We searched, listened to half truths, disgruntled employees, and commission seeking recruiters and almost thought we couldn t own at this point in our careers. UNTIL we were introduced to the WFX family. They are straight forward and brutally honest at all times. We asked what type of uniform or gear did they have. They told us to wear our shirts with OUR logo and business name on them. They want you to be an owner....we look forward to seeing you see your success at WFX. Promise it doesn t get any better than here.. Our 2021 Peterbilt 579. Ours.. thanks to WFX.
I have only been here at WFX for just under a month I have to say I get good miles and have a gr8 dispatch. I just wish I could get a w900 They say you have to have 3 yrs reefer experience in the last 10 yrs to get a w900 and in the last 10 yrs I've only got about 2.7 reefer. However in the last 27 yrs I've got plenty of yrs reefer experience All in all this is a great place to work dont plan on ever leaving this place everybody here makes you feel at home
Been there a year and I got hurt had surgery and coming back. They have taking care of me and made sure I was ok and everything. I love it at WFX and I got plenty of miles and they always had a load for me cause they knew I would get it and go and deliver it on time every time. I m in process of getting everything done to come back and I m am ready. Miss it. Never had a problem there.
This is my first lease purchase program from day one this company has shown me positive Results.they are very nice and respectful people at the main office. The equipment is awesome and very maintenance even though ive just started im very pleased to be apart of the WFX family i look forward to growing with them as a contractor driver and a friend thanks for all that you do....
Truck #2602 is driving very dangerously on I69 in Gas City Indiana. He just cuts people off and almost caused several accidents. I will never recommend your company.
If you want all the expenses of an owner operator. Get treated Less than a company hand. (Force Dispatch).., they say Non. But punish you otherwise. Have someone hold your money for 10 days each pay period. They (froze) my last 2 checks. After I followed their rules. And did the right thing. This is the place for You Unless you CAN complete the lease. You're just throwing your money away. There are better places to look. Btw, they charge a $1000.00 early termination fee
Bad bad bad Fraud fraud fraud And trucks are noteworthy anything after the purchase is done. They dont care, they will rip you off anyway they can They lie and keep lying. Us truckers should join together to get our money's worth and not be ripped off
I've been temping with the HR department through Western Flyer Express for nearly four months now and I really enjoy it! I think the office staff manages to balance hard work and having a great collective attitude. I get the sense that they truly believe they're helping provide an excellent experience for the drivers and are directly benefiting the growth of this company. I also get to shuttle the drivers to the clinic each week and I can testify that many are impressed by the quality of our lease purchase program. Many drivers have either told me in person or called claiming that our lease purchase is the best they've seen. Needless to say, there's plenty of opportunity here and I've been thankful to be part of this team!
Wow your ratings are low. This might have something to do with it: The driver of 2487c on the I84 west just now almost caused a fater over the guardrail crash on the cabbage hill because he doesn't bother to look in a mirror before changing lanes. The he almost rear ended the truck in front of him because he was tail gating down a hill. Pure stupid!
Not the first time I have experienced this with this company but I will say something this time. Your so called steering wheel holders need to learn how to take their 30 minute break somewhere else besides the fuel isle. Very disrespectful to actual truck drivers.
Crooks the lease is not no penalties they keep all you last checks and don't fix your truck but claim they did even though they are taking your check for maintenance then start cutting your miles that way you will quit then they say you owe them money for the maintenance that they never did. They don't pay detention no drop and hook except for all the repowers they have you do because of all the other drivers that quit. And they charge you for a warranty that is already on the truck from the dealer. If you run ore then 3000 miles they charge you an extra 500 to 1000 dollar truck payment additional to the original 700 to 800 a week. Then when you call payroll they won't answer or call you back then when they do answer They say we can't talk to u we don't have time. They lie when they say you get a new truck then the give you a used truck with new truck payments.
Just started with WFX in the frac sand division in South Texas and I love it dispatch is great, trucks are above expectations, and I get treated like a person and even our boss stays in contact and checks on us2 see how we are... thanks yall for taking time 2 hire me
One of thier lost drivers tried turning around at my facility and took out a sign. I have the video. I called and sent a message to WFE and have not gotten a response.
I'm a contract driver here. All companies have things you have to work through, but so far WFX is exactly what they said in orientation. Best lease purchase in the business!
Just spoke with this company on lease to purchase may have nice trucks but a pet policy means cat as well not just dog. Then you have a dog policy $500 plus rider policy is $20.50 can just imagine all the other nonsense costs....Shame
It's been a very rough few weeks a lot of new people apparently no communication not enough training on stuff you don't understand and Was told they would Help and some have Tried but then more Confusion but overall seems like it's going to be a good place as soon as another large confusion yet again this afternoon gets worked out like I sed we'll keep you posted Have a Blessed day
Hubby works for this company. I've worked for 3 other trucking companies and this is his 2nd company. I like this company way better than any other company I've had dealings with. Anna is the best fm out of all of them imo. She's a pistol so don't let her being a female fool ya!
Lord this company needs major help. Most of the folks work in the office is racist and the other half just don't care. It's way too much favoritism going on. They issue out junk trucks that has been missed used. The so called shop really need to be shut down and hire all new experience employees who wants to work and just not there for a check. A $100.00 is not enough money for three days of oration. All the drivers are treated differently. ALL trucks don't run the same speed. Some trucks are at 60,62,63,65 and if you rat out other people your truck will get turned up to 70. If you get any kind of tickets u go back down to 55-60.
Been western flyer Xpress over 1 year great company work for great lease purchase will make great living got lytx camera put great safety feature for driver and company.
They had an ad on craigslist looking for drivers. I put in application with this company. Within 10 minutes of them receiving it, it was declined. I called and asked what the problem was. They said the number of jobs. I was in the oilfield in Tx. It crashed. They didn't take the time to read the explanation for leaving. I have never been terminated. I wonder if the recruiters and all the office personel like to be lied to about rate of pay by these companies now and stay at that job and lose everything you have worked for to make a resume look good. Then they wonder why they have a shortage of drivers.
If I could leave negative stars I would. I went to this company ran for them for a short amount of time because as a lease operator and they took money from me and did not run me like they swore they could give me 3500+ miles a week and could only give me 2500 the lease is a scam you can make better money as a company driver for prime and jb hunt! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!
