My experience here has been terrible. They matched the price from a dealer in Los Angeles assuming I do standard Mazda finance. But once I got there, they asked for $1,750 more if I do my own financing (every other dealer I contacted asked for $500 more). Didn't waste my time and walked away.

I went to Westcott to get my 2008 mazda 3 serviced. I had 2 recalls and they fit me in right away. While waiting I decided to look at the new version of my car. I spoke with Gilbert and took it on a test drive. They asked me what I wanted to put down and asked me how much I wanted to spend. They asked me if they could do that, would I take the car home. I said ok. I had just been to Drew Ford looking at a New Hyundai a couple days earlier thinking I had good credit 730 only to find that it was a Transunion score and on Experian which is what the car dealers use my x wife used my ID somehow to get a cell phone which she did not pay and owed $499 on it. They offered me the car with a 4.8% interest rate and I decided to take it. I talked with Joey in finance and he made his sales pitch on all of the extras. I took all of them because they sounded like a good idea. 2 days later I found out that I had to get my kidney out maybe both and realized I could not afford the over $7,000 for all the extras and Lojack and a $380.00 car payment plus $80.00 full coverage for my insurance. I called Joey back the next day and he made an attempt to get me to keep what he felt were important add on's but when I told him no he took them off. Now I was told the money would be taken off the loan which would not lower my payment. I called the bank and the dealer and went back and forth and Joey was able to not only take off all the extras and the finance for it but lower my payment to $260.00 a month. What a relief. I have to say that this is the only time I have been to a dealership and feel no pressure and didn't feel like I got ripped off and I love my new 2014 Mazda 3 Touring. The only complaint I have is the salesman told me My car had Syrius radio when we test drove the car and again when I bought it. It did not have it but they did so much for me I am not going to grype about something so minor. Gilbert did not mislead me because he said it did have it but he didn't seem sure. Either way both were great and my car was done in record time. I am a Costco member and got the car for $750 under invoice which included my military service and my loyalty for having a mazda. Great Price I see a lot of complaints about the service bay area and the people there but I went back today to work out my loan getting redone and asked the service Manager (Forgot his name damnit) how much they would charge me to wash my engine from my 2008 mazda 3 and he told me to bring it in and let it cool down and he will do it free of charge. That saved me $69.00 from an appointment I had Monday and will definetly get me a lot more money when I sell my used mazda. I have started a relationship with this dealership that I hope lasts for a lifetime. Thank you Joey, Gilbert and ? Service Hopefully someone from the dealer checks the yelp and put the name of the service person that helped me because he was great. Matthew SD

It was the first time I felt welcome and respected. Ms. Denise Day made me feel like I was a valued customer. Instead of the usual wait of 2 to 3 1/2 hours, my car was done in approximately 1 hour. Keep up the excellent service, and eventually enjoy a booming service department.

If you are looking for an affordable car but still want some luxury, you need a Mazda. I had my Mazda 3 for 11 years and loved it. The base model came with things some luxury vehicles didn't have at the time. When I went to buy a nee car after all this time, I was set on Mazda already. Our salesman Juan Carlos Lopez, made the experience even easier by being friendly, low pressure, and patient. He let us take our time, talk things through, and made sure we ended up with everything we wanted in a new car. Ask for Juan Carlos or JC. You won't be sorry!

As good as it gets is right! The team at Westcott Mazda did an amazing job. Gilbert our sales rep walked us through the process of getting a new Mazda5. He did an outstanding job. Gilbert was straight forward and transparent in the process as possible. Getting a car can be a irritating, lengthy process. I have done it several times and out of all the times I have never had better service. I think financing a new car is one of the most the most unnerving parts of the whole process, but Joey the Finance Director put my wife at ease (no easy task). I was impressed with his negotiation skills with the finance company! He really worked hard to get us the best deal. So, we got a new car. They shined up our new Mazda5 and even got a tank of gas. I would highly recommend visiting Westcott Mazda whether its your first time getting a car or you are a seasoned vetern of car buying. These guys are real pros and it shows in every step of buying a new car. Thank you Westcott Mazda!!! We love our new Mazda5

The overall experience was exceptional working with the Wescott Mazda team. Our Sales Representative, Eric, was very nice to work with, didn't push us at any time, and was knowledgable about the Mazda 3 we were looking at. If we had any questions he could not answer, he was more than willing to find out the answer for us. He was also very helpful showing me all the functions of my new car and how they worked. The Sales Manager and Finance person were also very professional and helpful in their dealings with us. In fact, I will admit that this was the fastest I was ever able to buy a new car. The whole transaction only took a couple of hours instead of 4 or 5. Thank you to the whole staff!

Their new internet salesman offered to beat an already great lease deal from another dealership. Arriving at the dealership, the manager was surprised the salesman offered a steeper discount, already below invoice. Turns out, they marked up the money factor an insane amount, from 0.00044 to 0.00103, and then lied about marking it up when we asked why the interest was so high. I had a much better and much more transparent experience with Bob Baker and John Hine.

I want to just start off by saying the obligatory, ''I never write reviews but '' here I am. Dealerships get a bad wrap for overcharging. I was skeptical. I'm military and recently moved here from out of state. I was used to the service guy back home and being female it's hard for me to trust new places because you hear so much about how *stereotypically* females get ''ripped off''. It makes me weary. Well my car was broken into and they stole my manual. A few days later I get all these bells and whistles going off on my dashboard. Without any way to look it up myself, I call into the Mazda dealership. Having a car with a rotary engine, a lot of places aren't too familiar with what's going on in my vehicle. I ended up talking to a man named Art. In a panic, he talked me all the way there. It was very late in the day, I was headed home from work, and he stayed open just for me! Art then called Enterprise up the street and made sure they gave me a discounted price and had something to drive home that evening. Enterprise was also outstanding, but I'll save that for another review. The next day I received a phone call with a price quote. I was astounded by the cost. I got off the phone and did some research and I felt like I was getting ripped off. I called Art back, and regretfully, I was extremely rude. I accused him of trying to ''get over on me'' *ugh, I shouldn't always assume people want to take advantage*, lesson learned! Art took the time to explain to me the reasons why, offered to print off a price quote for me to take around to other shops and compare prices. He explained why my catalytic converter would cost so much (California has ridiculous smog laws). In contacting other shops, they confirmed the price of the catalytic converter, etc. I called back Westcott Mazda with my tail between my legs and I apologized to Art. He was still so nice through everything. He even managed to work out a price that I felt I could manage. Despite my attitude and skepticism he stayed absolutely, sincerely kind throughout the whole process. I was able to meet the mechanic, he showed me all the parts and the damage to them. They have nothing to hide and were doing more than required just to pacify me. My car was fixed in one day and it runs beautifully. I was provided transportation to get my car home. I trust this dealership and I felt really safe in a place I'm unfamiliar with. Don't be deterred to have your car serviced here just because of the stereotypes of costly dealerships. And if you can, have Art be the guy to help you out. He is the epitome of great customer service!

Great staff and prices. It's the second time I lease a car with them, first the Mazda6 and now the CX-5 and they gave me great deals both times. Super friendly staff. Ask for Eduardo, he attended me this second time and was super nice, plus he gave me a good deal! Recommended!

#Mazda #SoulRed is the best red on the road. And its a zippy crossover vehicle. The 2020 #CX9 captain's chair in the back are great. I really like my #SOULREDCX9 and it's fun to drive. Syncing my devices are super simple.. My sound system is insane! Most vehicles can't touch the quality of sound coming from my #BOSE system. #WESTCOTTMAZDA was easy buying experience.

I just bought 2 cars from Westcott in national city a couple of months ago. I have never owned a mazda before but decided to give them a try. One was a brand new 2019 car and the other a used car for my daughter. The sales people at the dealer were really great and nice. I don't have any issues with them, but now I am beginning to worry that maybe I made a mistake purchasing from them without doing my research on their used vehicle's!! I also should have gotten the extended warranty on the used vehicle because the other warranty only lasted 2 months for the used car and of course two and a half months later...my daughter's check engine light comes on and she is at the repair shop being told her entire emissions is bad and everything needed to be replaced! Granted I know used cars are a gamble sometimes, especially with older cars, and I didn't get the extended warranty, I'm pretty much SOL, but my concern is how did this car pass smog before we baught it beings that we would end up replacing all its components 2 and a half months later after purchase?! We were told the car had no issues and was in good condition. Now I'm worried what will be next and hopefully my daughter will be safe and not have to worry about how much the next repairs will cost. In addition to that I have a new 2019 car from them as well and I am just thinking maybe I won't take it for service there anymore since this is happening and is not a good impression for me! Blargh.

Ram is a great sales person. No pressure when looking for a car, and he was very patient. Finance was great to work with. I came in looking for a used car and ended leaving with a 2017 model. On my next purchase, I will consider Westcott Mazda over any competitor.

The worst service I ever received from Mazda from the Mazda National City workshop, they wanted to charge me 2,226dlls because supposedly the computer of my Mazda 6 had burned, I brought the car to Tijuana where in less than 30 minutes I had the car walking and working since it was only deprogrammed, sincerely at that dealership or they don't know what the mechanics do or they just want to steal you, either option is bad. I call to complain to them and the workshop manager still wants to scold me because he says it is illegal for another workshop to have its programs, I can't believe that much ineptitude.

Buying a car from Westcott Mazda was the most positive experience ever! It started with communicating with Eddie O. via email, he followed up by calling me, to meeting with him, my test drive with Uncle Rom, and finally working with finance manager John P. (In the past, I have bought cars from Ford, Honda (2), Nissan, Plymouth and Kia.) Each person that assisted me was professional, friendly and informative! There was no pushiness. I found them to be very ethical - it made me feel great to do business with Westcott Mazda! Westcott Mazda also has an excellent online loan application that you can complete ahead of time that will save you oodles of time! I have shared my positive experience with my friends, family, neighbors and Farmers Insurance agent! When I come across a friendly and ethical business, I am happy to share my experience.

I don't know the cars there are pretty decent I got a good deal but their staff has really made me so angry I bought a car from there I was calling the dealership for about 5 weeks trying to figure out where is my car registration so I can get my tags the DMV lady kept telling me 6 to 8 weeks so after about 2 more weeks I get an email about my car needs to be smogged and my temporary plates are expired now so basically I'm rushing to to to get my own smog done because they don't stay open long enough or on the weekends SMH and take off work just to do this ..

Everyone at Westcott Mazda was helpful in my purchase of a CX-5. Through several phone conversations, I secured a very low price for the vehicle that could not be matched at other dealerships. Completing the purchase paperwork was painless and straightforward. I'm very happy with the whole experience!

This was the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a dealership service. I rarely write reviews, but between Oscar being extremely friendly, punctual, and helpful (which was true of all of the Mazda team I interacted with) and the great amenities while waiting (including fresh popcorn) to the speed of service, I had to write a review - A+!

Mohamed (sorry if I have that spelling wrong) was great. He explained everything I asked of him and was very knowledgeable. I also really liked that he was not too "pushy" like many of the other dealerships I visited. He was also very patient as I requested multiple test drives just to make sure I made the right choice. The finance team also worked hard to meet my payment goals. I love my new CX-5 and would recommend this dealership to anyone!

I got a phone call offering me the Manager's Special for an oil change and tire rotation. I was given an appointment the next day at 4:30. When I arrived at my appointment, the person who was behind the desk told me that they do not make appointments after 3:30. Ever. I showed her the print-out of my email, with the appointment date and time (4:30) on it. She immediately went to her team. They stayed and took care of my car. They even washed it for me, and all in about 1 hour. Everybody was smiling and friendly. No one seemed put-out that they had to work on my car when they were supposed to be going home. It was a VERY pleasant experience.

Dont bring your car here for service. This place is run down, understaffed, and small. You pull up to the service line with an appointment and you have to walk inside to try to find someone do talk to.Most likely theres no one around and you end up ringing a tiny bell to get someone over. The employees here also lack people skills.

Marco and the whole Wescott Mazda team were really supportive in helping us purchase our vehicle. We initially wanted to finance a Mazda 3 i sport and they were able to negotiate a better deal for us for an i touring (one of the more equipped versions). The sales team was friendly and seemed to understand our parameters instead of pushing the sale as some dealerships still do. I even ended up talking with them for a while, it was very chill. I recommend this dealership.

We just purchased a Mazda from Richard at Westcott! I was dreading buying a car, but as it turns out, we could not have been more pleased with the entire process at Westcott from beginning to end. The dealership had exactly the car I wanted; this was fortunate because they were also pleasant to deal with. Richard and Michael were extremely professional, friendly and NOT pushy! We were able to negotiate a great deal because they were straight-shooters and didn't play any ridiculous games; which we appreciated. I would recommend checking them out if you are in the market for a car. Go see Richard!

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE Unfortunately there is no ZERO rating. That what this dealer deserves. They sold a CX9 2016 to me with the Blind Spot Monitoring nonfunctional. I took it to them to fix. After a day they said they fixed it. When I went out, the issue was still there. During the purchase process I asked the sales and he said it should work. Beware, don't even think about going there for a good deal. One of them called Mustafa and I am not sure if he is tha manager or not, is so rude and racist. After they sold me a defected car I asked for down payment refund or replacement. I was talking to the sales that served me in the beginning. He interrupted and started talking unprofessionally and rudely. He said that they know the games that we play " Mediterraneans."

Alberto is a nice sales consultant and very professional. He really tried to work with us however Edwin the manager was unprofessional and condescending. If you are a woman he will not negotiate with you. I had a different experience with Darrell C. at Mazda in El Cajon. We walked out with the car that we wanted and at a very reasonable price. Darrell is interested in keeping his customers happy and will work with you. Darrell and all the team at Mazda in El Cajon are awesome. Go check them out! You will not be disappointed. You were misinformed. That is not what happened but that s ok. Ladies take your business to Mazda in El Cajon. Ask for Darrell C.

My background is sales/customer service, diesel and gasoline vehicle and heavy equipment mechanic. These guys will lie about everything to get a sale AND will not help you with anything. I just filed a BBB complaint with these guys. Yes, I did give them a good amount of time to fix the problem they created. Spend the extra couple hundred dollars at another dealer and AVOID these guys.

If I could, I'd give them zero stars. 1. when I purchased the vehicle there were tons of issues just getting my registration 2. service is bad. I've owned two vehicles and both times, they take 2.5 hours just for an oil change even though I had an appointment. Went to another Mazda dealer and In/out in under 40min on a weekend with no appointment. by the way, they recently went through a service department refresh but seems the same as the old folks

I have worked as sales in dealerships before, and I know how the game goes, as I was one of the top team sales. I've purchased 20+ vehicles for the last 10 years, and they still want to play the 4 square game with me. Told them straight up what I wanted, and they wanted grind me down. I simply walked out of the wolves den. If the the sales was any smarter, he would follow up, but they rather prey on the next victim.

I was coming in to see if my tires are covered under warranty. After making a few phone calls with Mazda and the manufacturer of the tire, an appointment was made to inspect it at Wescott Mazda. The dealership has to talk to the tire manufacturer to verify if it is covered. To emphasize, the appointment was set up by Mazda, not me. When I arrived I explained the situation. They were a little confused because they usually don't get this, which is understandable, I imagine this doesn't happen often. However, the whole process of trying to figure out what to do was not a good experience since 3 of the reps sided against me, in a very accusation manner. One of the reps literally accused me of cutting my tire. I was just there because I needed a dealer to talk to the tire manufacturer to see if it is covered under warranty as instructed from Mazda and the tire manufacturer, no more no less. Finally, another rep, Mario, was reasonable enough to make the phone call to the tire manufacturer and it took about 10 minutes. That's all it has to be done. Don't get me wrong, I love Mazda and my car, but the customer service needs work at this particular dealership. I had better experiences at other dealerships.

If I could, I would vote this place 1 star at least 4 million times. Totally scammed me (guess that's easy since I'm a female). Sold me a car with a faulty starter and now, my car is dead 2 months later. I called them at 1 pm and 3pm, they did not return my call until 6:30! and they "regretfully" informed me they cannot do anything because the warranty is only good for a month. Well, thank you so very much for having me waste $13,000! Oh and I really appreciate the common courtesy to hang up on you when you ask to speak to a supervisor. Totally professional lol. This is really my only regret in life is listening to these fake, wanna be millionaires for helping me purchase my first car. I'm definitely not hoping that someone pillages your business and you all lose everything you're worth for cheating people into paying your commision without selling them a liable vehicle.

Well, my experience with this Dealership was so bad. Expensive deal with 2016 CX-5 Touring with multiple issues. I thought this SUV is smooth as I test drive some of it. The suspensions are really bad, and vibration are noticeable with all the mirror vibrates and they keep denying it. And the worst thing is, their service department are not professional, they messed-up my vehicle during my first oil change, tech forgot to screw up back the undercover. I did give a 1 star review, due to a bad experience when taking my vehicle to the service department, after a scheduling a second visit. Oscar took care of the problem with the balancing on my 2020 Mazda 3. Unfortunately he wasn't there when I went previously and I had an issue with a simple basic oil change and tire rotation. Regardless of Oscar being there to take care of service customers, when delivering a vehicle they need to make sure is sanitize and not smelling like you just came back from the fast food drive through.

So I texted originally with a female who told me to come in and meet with her. I never met her, which I will think was a little weird. I ended up being helped by a salesman named Mr. Gilbert who was really nice and conversational. I know my credit is not the best but I did think that I would get a car that a little less miles but you guess you gotta get what you can when you are rebuilding your credit so am thankful that i was approved and that their financial person made everything so easy. I think Honda Civics are known to be good cars so I was happy to approved for one. It ended u being a year younger than the car I drove in, which was also ok. It did have more cosmetic damage than mine but of course that would have had to happen when one of the previous drivers drove it. There were some nics and the weather stripping all the windows was completely eaten up, there was none at all around the windshield but like i said, an older with a few previous owns so I guess maybe that's to be expected? I do wish one of the owners had not replaced the music system with a CD player but I digress, if those have the worse problems that really wouldn't be too bad. As I took the test drive, which lasted about 5 seconds because the car was on E, I really didn't get to see much of how the car operated except it started well, ran well and everything functioned well. We get back to her dealership and unbenounced to me, I was set me up with a loaner car, and I didn't really know why but I asked Mr. Gilbert if they could please fix why the TPMS light was on and he said they would look into that and make sure everything was running well and clean the car so I said ok and they kept the car for 5 days. I called to see about a time on picking up the car the day I was due to pick it up and the service person told me they had sent it to the dealer to deal with an airbag recall and that they had dealt with the TPMS light at the service department before they had sent it. I get to the dealership, pick up the car. By the time I complete the 10 minute drive home the TPMS light is back on. The top the numbers that indicate your speed are going off and on so that sometimes it looks like your on the freeway driving 70 and it says 10, the lights for the gas are all off and on top, so you can't always take how much gas you have. Then the key fob that locks the car and arms the alarm only works when it wants to. I try the air conditioning and only get cool air, so is the coolant system out too? The day I pick up the car I call when I get off work and leave a message with the service department that there are some problems with the car and to see if anyone can call me back. When no one does I call again during service hours and they say that Oscar deals with used cars and will not be there till tomorrow. So I call to speak with Oscar the next day and when I am transferred to him I tell him the same issues I detailed in the last paragraph and he says that he was testing the fob so that was strange. He told me to bring the car in but he could not guarantee me loaner car. I explained to him that I work 3 jobs so I can't be without car so he said to first let him look up what was covered under my 5 year warranty and he would call me back. I financed the car on the 1st of November, picked it up the 5th of November (Tuesday), spoke with Oscar the 7th of November. It is now November 24th. The key fob now does not work at all so I have to leave me car unlocked and unprotected wherever I go because there is no way to lock the two back doors, the gas lights are off more often than on, the tops of speed numbers are still flickering off and on, no a/c not sure about the heat, the TPMS light is still on and i have yet to receive a call back. If i am able to get some assistance I will update this review but right now l don't have a lot of hope for that so I'm a little disappointed by this dealership because I thought from hearing the name in the past it would be more consistent, had a better reputation and wouldn't treat it's customers like I've been treated
