I went there yesterday for the very first time to see what their services were. There is apparently no protocol for dealing with a first time visitor. No sign in, no greeting, no signage, no printed brochures. When I asked for one, the office manager? had to climb up a long flight of steps to get a brochure, and came back with only one single brochure. I left there thinking that they really were not happy to see me, and did not want to give out any information. Surely I am not the ONLY person who ever walked in that door. I was not a salesman or a CEO or a cop, or anything other than a private citizen, and yet it seemed to gravely confound them. Maybe they were all in training?

Living in the Cupertino area on a low income budget, would be nearly impossible without the help of this organization. Best food bank I've ever been to. This should be the model for all other food banks to follow.

I have nothing but good to say of West Valley Community Services. It is a difficult task to work with people who are hurting. I received nothing but care and compassion every time I used their services which was for over a year. I was offered more than I used--Thank you. Now I want to give back and upon visiting to see what I can do the volunteers were kind and the staff were extra kind and patient with me as I sorted out how I can give back. I have read the other comments and realize that the task is challenging and we should expect to see hurting people and offer compassion. I have experienced nothing but good and a liberating healthy environment of leadership, staff and volunteers. Keep up the good work.

A wonderful non-profit organization that helps low-income West Valley residents through services like a food pantry and financial advising. It's important to have them supporting the more vulnerable members of our community, especially during times like these.
