Can be a good atmosphere but takes to long to get served

Student focused binge drinking dive bar. More security staff than punters, and I'd need to be paid to go there again!

Great, fun atmosphere. Different take on drinks with pictures with prices all over the bar. Music is really fun and it's a great place to end the night

Great prices, but let down by the small size of the venue and the sometimes half hour wait to get in and then a twenty minute wait to get to the bar.

Great atmosphere and they usually have live bands play here, its let down by the customers - nearly every time I've been here there's been a fight.

Shocking place dirty and the staff are so unprofessional and obstructive stoid outside there tonight did not go in we we there to investigate a serious assault against a young man who got strangled unconscious take into account I am seriously dissabeld yet tonight the staff refused to give any details of there sia badge numbers or to speak to management the police had to be called to obtain these also this dissabeld war vet did not like getting shoved and swore at so wrong thanks to the police tonight they were a blessing and I had a door firm for 20yrs before my accident and the staff here are inapt, dirty, rude, and so uneducated with in the aspect of the law the assault as gone criminal and charges are bieng brought against the venue as it was serious I suggest the staff here go back to school or retrain much safer nicer places to go in Sheffield

very nice place with cheap drinks and good atmosphere,however, there is one thing which puts me off about WSL. There is a bouncers there who has been working in there for good few years, she is utterly rude.

Great cheap beer and spirits selection, great live music and a good atmosphere. However, bouncers here are known to discriminate and throw out less attractive girls/mixed or people of colour out and letting in more attractive white girls. They make up excuses and say "you were kicked out". Be careful not to go to the smoking area after 1am if you're an ethnic minority/not a model otherwise you'll be kicked out casually that way.

Great venue for love music, doesn't get going until later on in the evening. LOADS of drink options!

Love this venue, as an artist and a frequent customer. There aren't many places in Sheffield that can brag that they run live music every day of the week with something for everyone.

On top of the that, there's so many great and inventive drinks and cocktails to choose from. Staff are always friendly and try to have a laugh with the customers which is great to see. Door staff are very professional and non-discriminatory, always ensuring the safety of the customers.

Mat Hume (event promoter) is always on hand to bring people together as the compare for the majority of the events they run and really helps get the crowd going for the bands with his introductions.

Love this place like a second home and will be back again soon.

Good place for a gig. Love gigging there and the bar staff are nice. Bouncers seem nice as well, although I have heard bad things, I have yet to see it for myself. Guitars on the wall and good times (although a headache most mornings after!)

We went in for a drink at around 9pm and there was a great band on 'Groove Militia'. We ended up staying until around 2am. Music was good, atmosphere is great and prices for drinks are very reasonable.

Music is good at best of the times, but nothing beats the unholy drink prices

Me and my friend bought a drink glass was chipped plastic tried to take it back reasonable got frog marched out of a place disgusting no respect was also told plastic glasses cannot chip my mates lip was literally bleeding and to cut a long story short will never be freequetnin the place again long as I live !!!!!!!

An institution in Sheffield. Unfortunately the staff and owners are far too rude and chuck customers out as soon as they want to exercise their power. Would avoid unless you are absolutely hammered and expect to be shoved out of the premises for no reason other than a power trip for the owners.

This place is only good for one thing...Cheap booze! So much to choose from! Always end up arguing with the door staff think it's a mixture of cheap booze and door staff with issues...they argue you shouldn't be there if you're drunk...not really sure they understand the effects of alcohol?

Too loud the place was filthy especially the ladies toilets. Wasn't for me. Certainly wouldn't visit again

The bouncers were really horrible and made us feel really uncomfortable. Would not recommend this place at all because the bouncers ruin the whole experience for everyone. looking forward to spending time at better bars in the future.

Worst place for a night out in the whole of Sheffield. My friend wasn t allowed back in last night after he went for a smoke for no reason whatsoever. I went to find out where he was and with that bouncers grabbed me by the back of my neck and threw me and my partner out of the club

It's one of the liveliest night clubs in Sheffield. You get to see plenty of local talents performing over there, and it's got a good range of drinks, and the crowd always has a good time. It does tend to get jam packed, and there were times I had to wait up to 15 minutes in line before I got in, but it sure was worth it!

Loud venue with lots of local music (of varying quality). A huge selection of drinks, most of which you won't have heard of before and will never see again, all at very low prices. Provided you get lucky with the music it can be a perfectly pleasant venue.

Best place to go for a night out. Love the drinks here
